What an incredible experience! Althea was a fabulous guide whose deep knowledge of wine and winemaking really made the tour. Her kind, calm demeanor put everyone at ease right away. The wineries were beautiful, the tastings and pairings were exceptional, and the views were simply stunning. It was perfectly paced from start to finish—we can’t recommend this tour enough!
Our guide, Henri, was very knowledgeable and great to chat to. The wine yards we visited were all wonderful each uniquely different. We had a fantastic selection of white rose and red wines and enjoyed them all. We bought a few bottles to enjoy ourselves in our holiday apartment too. Definitely recommend as lunch tastings and pairings all included. Alternative tours don’t include this so you could spend more than you wish to.
An excellent day out with Julian, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Each stop on the trip was unique, we had a great range of wines, vineyards and food. If you can affronts the bit extra it’s well worth it.

Julian was our super star guide for the day - he was fun, energetic, knowledgeable and organised…. The weather was terrible but nothing was a problem for him. He made it a perfect day to drink wine! Four wine stops with amazing food pairings and a tasty lunch. We got to sample so many different options and learn about South African wine. Highly recommended- really enjoyed our day, thank you so much!

Group of 13 traveler’s from all over the world, on a small bus winery tour on a very rainy day. At the wineries we visited we met some very passionate wine makers the first two were proud family run establishments. The third one we had a delicious lunch with wine of course. The grounds & garden were lovely. The forth was a more commercial property but very nice.
Great tour. Wineries offer good selections to try and have generous pours. The parings with biltong, chocolate and cheese are great!

We did a customized, private tour of Stellenbosch and Franchjoek. We enjoyed three wineries with our favorite being Ernie Els—a must if you like big reds and golf. It was a bit rainy so we didn’t explore the towns much. The countryside is beautiful and there are so many wineries to choose from. Our guide was very helpful and we enjoyed hearing his stories about the region.
I really enjoyed my day tour with Wine Flies. At first, I was a little concerned about the itinerary changes due to Good Friday, as this wasn’t communicated in advance. However, our guide Alethea handled everything seamlessly and still delivered a fantastic experience. We were able to visit both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, with the added bonus of Paarl, which made the day even more special. Alethea was knowledgeable, engaging, and fun—she truly made the tour memorable. Mini group, attentive service, tour guide pays attention to everyone's situation, almost one-on-one service. The tour guide was enthusiastic and responsible, explaining various knowledge and answering our questions throughout the entire process. We went to four wineries and had lunch at one of them. Whether it was lunch, wine, or the accompanying tasting food, everything was great. The sommeliers arranged were also very professional, providing comprehensive explanations of knowledge. You can visit cellars, wine workshops, and vineyards, all of which are not very crowded, and the estates you go to are places with few tourists. This is a fantastic and value for money wine experience, if you really want to delve deeper into wine.

The tour was a very wonderful experience. I went solo but met a very lovely and charismatic family that I spent the day with. The tour is a wonderful way of connecting with people from different places and experiencing the wonderful wine that Stellenbosch had to offer. Each stop had a very welcoming and well informed staff the made everyone feel comfortable. I feel that even though we ended up in a group of 5, we already felt like friends after the second stop and were still sharing stories by the forth. Even as a person that isn't into wine, you will learn how to appreciate and even want to bring a taste back to your family.

We cannot recommend these guys enough! We had a 2 day private tour of the Cape Peninsula, the wine regions Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and everything in-between. From initial contact via the website, we were contacted by Renee, who listened to our ideas and built an itinerary around us, our time and what we wanted to see. Our driver, Julian was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, personable and just a great guy to be around. We learnt so much and did/saw so many things; mountains, private bays, wine farms, olive oil tasting, penguins, ostrich, baboons to name but a few! If you’re going to Cape Town - please check these guys out, you won’t regret it!

A lovely fun day out with Julian. Relaxed, informative & professional. He is very approachable and accommodating Lunch could be improved in my opinion ( large bus loads served first), more SA food to introduce people to different variations eg malva pudding/ koeksusters/ melktert Malaysian curries etc and some SA music! Wineries 1 and 3 were the best obviously ( Large, established) with style, service & environment A good day out, highly recommended
