We had a beautiful day driving clockwise around the Cape, in a very comfortable and luxurious vehicle. Our Guide Kelvin, adopted all the items on our wishlist and helped us to craft a fabulous itinerary to see all of the sights. Kelvin was incredibly informative and very knowledgeable from the Flora and Fauna to the history of each town and the Overall Region. From seeing the beautiful Vista with ample opportunities to take photos, seeing the penguins at Simonstown, the colorful beach Chalets at Muizenberg and then an incredible wine tasting experience at Groot Constancia and then finally back to our bed and breakfast in Bokap area, Kelvin was the Consumer Host. Do take a trip and do ask for Kelvin!

We did a private tour today with our guide Dansen, and it was incredible. We saw Bo Kaap, the penguins and boulders beach, some fishing towns and bays, and the cape of good hope. Dansen was so knowledgeable, funny, kind, and took care of us all day. He recommended a great lunch spot that was delicious. We had great conversation in the car. We were sad to say goodbye and felt like we made a new friend! Today was perfect and the company and Dansen let us customize our day to spend time where we wanted. Thank you, Dansen for a beautiful experience! We were honored to spend the day with you!

The private chauffeur was perfect. Avril was our chauffeur and super friendly and informative. She took us to our desired wineries and is very knowledgeable about the wineries and the wine regions around Cape Town. She even recommended an excellent place for lunch (the Goatshed at Fairview). We visited three wineries and enjoyed our time at each one. We really appreciated Avril and her chauffeuring us around for the day.

Prince was our driver. He was kind, flexible, and attentive. He shared a ton of history of South Africa. He drove safely and responsibly. He was very kind to others as well. Recommend highly.

Panach, our driver, was prompt to pick us up at the cruise terminal. The car was clean, comfortable, and accommodated all our luggage. He was a safe driver, polite, friendly, considerate, and professional. He gave us interesting commentary as we drove about the area. Our tour took us to the Cape of Good Hope and to see the penguins at Boulder Beach. He provided opportunities for us to snap photos. This was one of our favorite days on our vacation.

Great communication, knowledgeable driver who showed us additional sights en route, pre-booked tickets saved us time and a refund was provided for Table Mountain tickets as the weather was too windy for the cable car. Great experience and would highly recommend as it took all the hassle and stress out of hiring a car and finding places to park

We had a lovely day with our driver! I knew where we wanted to go on our Chapmans peak / cape peninsula day and just needed the transportation to take us around for the day. This was such a lovely way to have as much time as we wanted at each stop and create our own schedule. Highly recommend especially if you know where you want to go and stop and want to avoid the tours.

A great way to explore Cape Town and the Wine Region without the hassle of driving. From booking process to being kept updated regarding the day was very professional and informative. The driver assigned to us "Tatenda" was very safe, flexible and accommodating and also had a very clean and comfortable vehicle. Would definitely recommend.

Our driver, Maxwell, was very helpful and courteous. He took care to stay with the car while we were wandering around as all of our luggage was in it. We were headed to an 8pm flight and didn’t want waste the day. He gave us excellent advice about which winery to have lunch at - spectacular view and great wine. We also did the Botanical Gardens and he stayed with the car during that time too. We had been in Cape Town for a week already and just had a few other places to visit.

We booked a full day service to take us to Cape Peak, Boulders Beach, Simon’s town and Cape Point Vineyard. Tinashe was brilliant! He picked us up in a spotlessly clean BMW which was spacious and comfortable. He was friendly and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend this service.

Jossie was a friendly driver, in clean modern vehicle. We hired mainly to go down to the Cheetah experience at Somerset West, Jossie gave us plenty of ideas for other places to see or visit whilst in the area.

Kevin was our driver for the day and we had a brilliant day! We amended the pick up time easily the night before, when we were sent a WhatsApp message to reconfirm. We had the most incredible experience on our full-day private tour of Cape Town, and I cannot recommend it enough! With only one full day in the city, this tour was the perfect way to see all the main attractions in a short amount of time. Our guide, Danson, was absolutely amazing—he made the entire day seamless and truly unforgettable. The car was comfortable and impeccably clean, with complimentary water bottles provided, which was a thoughtful touch that added to our comfort throughout the day. Danson kept us on track to fit everything into our schedule, sharing his extensive knowledge about the city and its rich history along the way. He went above and beyond, taking fantastic photos of us at every stop and even arranging our dining table at both our lunch stop and the winery, ensuring a personalized and top-notch experience. Even though the Table Mountain cable car was closed for maintenance, the tour company handled it perfectly by substituting the visit with a trip to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. We appreciated that they made this adjustment, so we didn’t lose out on any part of the experience or money. Admission to all attractions was included, and the wine tasting in Stellenbosch was a wonderful highlight. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations in every way. It was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Danson’s professionalism and personal touch made the day so special. If you’re visiting Cape Town and want to see it all in one day, this tour is a must!

What a brilliant day, Danson our driver was the perfect tour guide his knowledge of everything was amazing. We visited beaches, penguins, the cape lighthouse and finally Cape of Good Hope. Was greeted at cruise terminal ,by are chauffeur. Whose customer care was exceptional through out the day. He provided us with all that we needed to know about the areas visited. He followed a personal itinerary that the company had made up for us. We made a coffee stop, many photo stops. We went down to Boulders Beach to see the Penguins that was Great. Onward to Stellenbosch for a pre booked lunch at the Fat Butcher. Followed by wine tasting at a scenic location Mountings and a lake . The day was made extra special by Chauffeur Tenesha sharing his knowledge and providing us with a safe journey and returning us to Cape town airport on time for our flight home. Fun filled day had by all. Archive Tours exceeded our expectations Would recommend them for great experience.

We had a wonderful day with our driver, Leon. He was prompt and courteous and met us right at the front of the cruise terminal with a clean and comfortable air conditioned Hyundai van. We gave him a list of places that we were interested in seeing, and he planned out the day with us. We drove around around Hout Bay, stopping at a few stunning overlooks then up Chapman’s Peak Road. Wow! So incredibly beautiful. He then cut over to Simon’s Town in order to visit the Boulders Beach penguin sanctuary before it got too crowded. Leon suggested a lovely waterfront restaurant in Simon’s Town and then we drove to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. We also saw ostriches, eland, and baboons along the way. Leon was always right there with the van, took pictures for us, and told us about life in South Africa. We felt safe and in good hands all day. I cannot recommend this company and Leon enough.

Kelvin was very good. He pick us up at cape Town Airport, took the 8 of us to check in our cruise at cruise port. Then we went to Afrogem to get Diamond and Tanzanite. We took the cable car to Table Mountain before we went to the Gold restaurant drumming performance and 14 courses dinner. Kelvin did everything we plan for and we were very happy of his services. We will definitely use him again.

Cape Archives is the best tour operator if you’re looking for a customized private tour of not only Cape Town but also the wine region. While the weather did not allow a visit to Table Mountain, my guide Danson was accommodating to offer the same views with a visit to Summit hill as well as the coastal beach before making our way to the wineries. Wineries were selected that catered to what I was looking for with visits to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Don’t hesitate to venture outside of Cape Town with Cape Archives as your tour operator.

It is a lot easier in another country when you can relax and go to each location on your own time and enjoy the trip along the way.
