Cape Winelands Private Tour

We recently took tours of the Winelands and Hermanus with Ambrose and had a fantastic and memorable time. Ambrose is incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. He knows the best times to visit the different sights to avoid the crowds and large tour buses. It’s this kind of local knowledge that is invaluable, as there were many times when we found ourselves in these beautiful locations almost entirely on our own. Ambrose is very friendly, and it was genuinely nice getting to know him. He doesn’t bombard you with information; instead, he takes things at a relaxed and enjoyable pace, which we really appreciated. Although if you have questions he has a wealth of detailed knowledge. He’s also an excellent driver. I don’t even think I saw him rely on maps once, it’s as though he knows the entire Cape area like the back of his hand. We’d happily recommend Ambrose to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and relaxed guide, and we hope to tour with him again when we return in the future.

Kabir was an outstanding tour operator for our Cape Town winery experience. He was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable, providing great commentary about the region and the highlights of each winery we visited. Kabir arrived on time, was a very safe and skilled driver, and made the entire day smooth and enjoyable. His friendly and personable nature made the tour feel relaxed and special for our group. We had an incredible experience with Morkel and especially our driver and guide, Kabier. One of the things we loved most about the company is that they assign you one dedicated driver for your entire stay. Kabier picked us up from the airport, took us on two full day tours, and dropped us off at the end of our trip, which made the experience feel seamless and very personal. Kabier was always early, incredibly patient while waiting for us at each stop, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. It was an extremely hot week in Cape Town, and he always had the air conditioning running and cold water available for us, which we really appreciated. During the drives he shared so many interesting fun facts, cultural insights, and historical context about South Africa. It made the experience so much more meaningful than simply visiting beautiful places. Over the course of our tours he took us through the Cape Winelands, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach, and many other iconic spots along the way. We were in Cape Town celebrating my mom’s birthday, and these tours were truly one of the highlights of the trip. Having a private guide made all the difference compared to being on a large group tour where you have to constantly follow someone else’s schedule. This is absolutely the best way to explore Cape Town. The entire Morkel team was responsive, kind, and professional from start to finish. We would absolutely use them again and would request Kabier every time we return to Cape Town. Thank you for helping make my mom’s birthday trip so special.

All day wine tasting tour near Cape Town, SA. Our driver/guide Kabear was fantastic, knowledgeable and a great driver. He was funny but also serious about items in SA history. Kabear does other tours too and I wish we had more time to go others with him. He picked us up at our hotel and brought us back. The tour 8-5. Kabear picked three great wineries that we thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t recommend this guide and tour highly enough!

Highly recommended. Armand was knowledgeable and helpful, telling about city and places we passed by. Visited 4 vineyards, all different. My 2 most favorite was very fancy Graff - a lot of artworks and services was on top , whole place looks just on high level. Next favorite- is Delham vineyard, beautiful cozy and country side like , had delicious lunch there too. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have wine testing tour. 😍

What an amazing day in the countryside and wine country. Orion- our guide- was great, so knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Always on time and gave us great suggestions to make sure that we had lots of fun. His car was super clean and very comfortable. I had such a lovely time on the wine tour led by Orion. He was the absolute best — super professional but also really friendly and engaging. The 3 wineries were so well balanced. The first was a wine and cheese tasting, second was wine tasting with lunch, and the final winery was a tasting with chocolate. It was a fantastic day around South Africa’s beautiful wine region.

Well spent day with Orion... His 'go as you please' option is highly recommended, this is the best way to explore the numerous hidden gems that the cape wine lands has to offer. Orion is knowledgeable, offers appropriate suggestions of places to visit and has a good relation with most wine farms. I highly recommend his service if you want to get the most out of the day.

Our small group of 5 wanted to experience a day in the Cape Town Wine Region. We wanted to have a private tour. Well what a day. An amazing Tour guide Orision was our driver guide and shortly into the tour our friend. He ensured we were able to enjoy some wonderful wines with breathtaking views. He provided some great tips for the day. We had an experience we will never forget in this beautiful part of the world. Don’t do a pre arranged tour do your own thing and use this firm who won’t let you down.
