Loved this tour. Great & unique art but also a very knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend as an alternative to the usual tourist spots. Poor guide had to to talk in the pouring rain with me, but did so without complaint ans was always checking in with me.

We spent two hours experiencing the street art of Woodstock and Salt River with our guide Melly explaining each artists intent when creating their murals. Melly was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
This experience was amazing! Sipho was very knowledgeable and led a great tour. The artwork was impressive. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed the tour very much. There are many streetart artists in the city, I was quite surprised how much we could see. The scooters make perfectly sense for transport, as it would not be possible to to this as a walking tour, due to the distances.
It was amazing. Very careful and informative. I would advise to brief tourism on the end about potential risks of teft if they are walking back to CBD
Very interesting tour, giving great insight into Woodstock’s varied history and the annual art festival. Mandy the guide was professional and spoke extremely well, allowing for other people’s insight. The street art chosen was an interesting mix and I would highly recommend this unique tour
Mandy was an inspirational speaker who is passionate about her heritage and her future. She clearly depicted the details in the artwork that we looked at and allowed individuals in the group to express their own views and opinions. The pieces that she chose to show us with thought provoking and beautiful in their own individual ways. The whole experience was 5 star we both really enjoyed the tour.
Diego is an energetic guide. He knows and loves the neighborhood and wants to showcase all that it has to offer. Our tour was chill and informative. We had a small group so there was lots of opportunity for interactive conversation.
I had a fantastic experience with Diego. It was just the two of us, which made the tour feel tailored and relaxed. He connects street art with Cape Town’s history—both recent and older—so you don’t just see murals, you understand the people and moments behind them. Highly recommend.
We had an incredible experience on the Woodstock street art tour with Diego. He did an excellent job sharing his knowledge and insight into the murals around Cape Town. What stood out was how he encouraged us to form our own interpretations of the artwork, making the experience feel personal and engaging. Diego introduced us to a diverse range of pieces, each touching on different themes, and his personal connections with many of the artists made the tour even more meaningful. His warm and welcoming energy made the walk through the neighborhoods both enjoyable and eye-opening. My husband and I walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the area and its vibrant culture. If you’re visiting Cape Town, booking a tour with Diego is an absolute must - you won’t regret it!
Great tour, with amazing street-art, starts in Woodstock, but more in Salt-river area. Very good guide with excellent information ! Salt river is a very interesting area with lots of cultural amazing things!!
Chandy is a fabulous guide! He is wise and thoughtful and the experience was educational and fun. Highly recommend!
Very interesting walk and a lot of very good insights from our guide Terrence. I can highly recommend this walk. Thank you Terrence for the nice conversations.
Chandy was great, he explained the murals and their context very well, giving insight into the art and its meaning. He took time to respond to questions and share his personal views and experience. Loved it!
Really interesting engaging tour! Would highly recommend! Tour guides are local and knowledgeable and the art is really beautiful and interesting!
Great tour - stunning street art and lots of info from our local guide who actually lives in the area.
Great experience to learn about Woodstock street art, I really enjoyed learning a lot about the arts.
AMAZING TOUR with guide from the local Woodstock community. I cannot remember the young man's name who gave me the tour today, but he was INCREDIBLE!
Amazing experience! We went to join the Woodstock street art tour together with our kids. Our guide was a great host and we learned a lot from him about the street art in Woodstock, but also about art overall, the neighborhoods history and culture that I am sure we would haven't had the chance to without him and the tour. Absolutely recommend it, so inspiring on many levels!!! Thank you so much
We had an amazing Tour with Shandy who is really knowledgeable and shares all the valuable the information. We learned a lot about the development of the neighborhood and the nice art in it. Highly recommend to do the tour!
A very interesting and exciting tour through one of Cape Town's most exciting neighborhoods. Our tour guide Chandy was able to tell us a lot about the history of this part of the city and, above all, about the significance of the murals. The significance they have for the cityscape and the people - extremely exciting! In addition to his deep knowledge, Chandy was a fantastic host and you could always tell how important it was to him to have a realistic portrayal of his country's history. And before anyone asks the question: Yes, we felt safe and in good hands the whole time. An absolute recommendation! PS: The district is changing a lot at the moment (gentrification) - so it's best to take the tour as soon as possible before it's too late.
Chandy was an exceptional tour guide. His knowledge of not only the art itself but the stories behind the artists and why they chose the area was both informative, and enriching as my husband and I got to really understand some of the history of the area. Anyone looking to learn about Cape Town and its beautiful stories should book him immediately. Chandy will NOT disappoint
Shandy was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and patient. Enjoyed learning about the area and the art. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Amazing way to walk around a unique part of Cape Town and enjoy the beautiful art along with way! The guides were very knowledgeable about the area, the artists and the story behind the art itself. 10/10, would recommend!
Terrence (and his trainee) was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. He encouraged us to ask questions; he knew tons of details about the artwork, the artists and of the community. It was a great you're and we totally enjoyed it. A+++
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was a nice stroll through a different side of Capetown. We saw some beautiful art and heard about the artists and meanings behind each piece. Our host did an amazing job. I highly recommend!
A very nice experience with beautiful wall paintings about sustainability and community building. It is in Woodstock - a suburb where normally tourists don't come. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed a lot this tour. It is different from any other tour I did in the city. Xolani had so much knowledge of the area and the paintings that I could get a deep insight of the artists and the Neighborhood. I recommend this tour 100%.
Wonderful tour, with absolutely beautiful artwork and a great, knowledgeable guide! You hear the stories behind the art which is always interesting.
Gaining the knowledge behind each Artist work. Fantastic work from local artists. Tour Guide was great and explained in detail!
I try to hit up a street art tour in every city I visit. Often, it is a way to get to know the counter-culture of the city which is exciting. There were some impressive and inspiring pieces on this tour and our guide provided background on the people on the neighborhood and the artists for each one including the messages behind their works. Many were sponsored or commissioned pieces which can reflect the vision and hope of the community. There was some surprising (to a visitor) street art too that really indicated the politics and view of the people. It was eye-opening but also good to know where some community members stand on important issues. The commentary about subjects other than art was interesting as well and I enjoyed our discussion and tips for places to go too. I recommend this tour.
We had a visit of Maboneng street are prescint with Clement. It was really interesting to understand the messages in the art. Clement know a lot and has a broad knowledge
This was our first tour upon arriving in Cape Town and it was an excellent introduction to the people, history and culture of the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he was able to provide context and history on each piece of art. We were lucky to be the only people on the tour that we booked, so it was like having a private guide. I definitely enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone.
It was great to hear the inspiration behind all the art pieces and to get a lot of back ground information on the area, Capetown and South Africa.
Great walking tour in the neighborhood with lots of context and insights on the art and why it’s there in the first place
Street art typically connotes graffiti art, which was not the case for this tour. There is actually an area, Salt Circle, that has several examples of mural street art, a significant part of which was for a festival/exhibition. Our guide knew the artists and the history behind the murals. Additionally, street art is usually political, and this art as a general rule was such. So in viewing the art, one learned a significant amount of political history surrounding Cape Town.
The art and the stories are beautiful. It's in a neigbourhood which isn't often visited by tourists. But it's really worth it!
Great conversations while seeing beautiful street art and exploring a neighborhood off Cape Town’s usual tourist radar. Highly recommend!
Its amazing, the people and the art its just magical.. the guide was so so kind and gentle, and the hood is lovely!
We enjoyed the diallogue about the past and present political and social concerns in South Africa and the world. Understanding the historical background of the murals was priceless. It was a wonderful morning walk in the Woodstock and Salt River neighborhoods.
The guide was very nice and showed me lots of nice art pieces and explained a lot about the background. Unfortunately in the booking the right meeting point was not mentioned, so we started 30min late.
My husband and I took a street art tour with Xolani and had the best time. We were incredibly late due to lunch running over and he was so accommodating. We walked around the Woodstock and Salt River neighborhoods and talked about the artists and the meaning behind each piece of work. Not only that, but Xolani also talked about the history of the neighborhoods themselves to give more context to the art and he even followed up with me via text about the artists we discussed! He was super knowledgeable and really engaging. I’d absolutely recommend taking this tour if you want to see a more local side of Cape Town, especially if you’re interested in art.
Great tour. This was more about finding out about South African life as a young person than street art. Our guide (and his trainee) were both lovely and we had a great time with them
This was a highlight. Xolani was so clear and insightful, and we had great discussions about all the important things… including perspectives and interpretations of the murals. Bring water, snack, and comfy shoes
I enjoyed seeing the art and hearing the meanings and stories behind the murals. I gained insight into some of the concerns of the community and even the country. Our group was so engrossed in our tour that we lost track of time.
Great tour with a knowledgeable guide teaching us the history of the are and meaning of the art. Wonderful activity.
Very original and interesting tour into the heart of Cape Town’s community in Woodstock. Beautiful mural paintings and a lot of stories to learn about them
Terrence was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, I enjoyed the street art walking tour, the 2 hours went very quickly and I saw amazing art.
This tour was really a lot of fun and our guide, Xolani was amazing. We saw some great artwork as well as some parts of the community and culture that we would probably have not otherwise seen. I would recommend this tour to others. First thing, we needed to change the day of our tour at the last minute and the tour operator was very gracious and accommodating and changed our tour without issue. On the day of the tour, Xolani was prompt and very friendly. He was very knowledgeable about all of the art pieces that we saw as well as about the community in general. He was very passionate and had a lot of insight about how the art reflected both the African culture and world culture. Thank you Xolani for adding a great element to our trip!!
Great tour! Fantastic knowledge, super friendly and professional. Wonderful guide. I highly recommend
