Cape Town: Tandem Paragliding With The Experts

What a time! As a person who’s always wanted to sky dive, this was a great way to experience being in the sky. It was such a liberating & beautiful experience.

the experience felt rushed. i was in the air within 5 minutes of checking in and was given minimal guidance on taking off. additionally, we were only in the air for about 5 minutes, which is not very long considering the experience is $110 and i saw another persons review saying they were in the air for 15 minutes. it’s pretty but i would not recommend as it’s not worth the money.

Sooo cool! The weather was great, I’d say I was in the air for about 15 mins, Earl took so many pictures and videos. Unforgettable!

It was a very good experience in the flight but when the weather is not good it is hard to fly so go in the right time where there will be no wether problems.in the paragliding the view was so impressive the guide who come with will hand a go pro camera with so you can takes photos and videos while flying.

Truly amazing experience! Staff were super friendly, professional & supportive...especially Mike who checked in on me & gave me advice & assurance prior to the ride.The pilot/instructor Earl, was super cool & calm throughout the entire experience. I almost chickened out but I'm glad that I went though with it.The views were truly breathtaking & picturesque.Would definitely recommend including the pictures and videos to capture this truly memorable experience.

What a fantastic time! It was so much fun and so beautiful. I was a little nervous going into it, but once we launched I wasn't nervous at all! The ride was smooth and easy. My pilot asked me if I liked rollercoasters. When I said YES, he took me on a few extra dips and turns. So much fun and a very smooth landing!

As a first timer, I was very nervous, Earl my pilot was professional, calm, reassuring and delightful. Loved every minute of the beautiful ride and would happily do it again with this company. Do it, it’s a memory of a lifetime!

Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. Me and my partner were both nervous, me more so. I have a fear of heights, and scared of rollercoasters, but this was one of the smoothest rides ever. We opted for the photos and videos which is a MUST. Our pilots were great and definitely made the experience all the better.

Absolutely worth it! It’s a short ride but felt long enough to get the experience. Highly recommend. The pilots are so kind! PS. Don’t schedule this on your last 1-2 days as the wind determines flight so you may need to reschedule for reasons out of their control!

We booked the activity just at the night before and they responded quite quickly to confirm it. The whole event was well communicated and we enjoyed the process. The paragliding was beautiful but a bit short due to very low wind that morning. Nevertheless, I did not regret doing this. Thanks Tandem Flight Co.

This was an amazing experience! I was pretty nervous at first, but my instructor, Halil, was incredible and immediately made me feel at ease. He was professional, reassuring, and made the whole experience truly enjoyable. I can’t recommend him enough. The only downside was the scheduling and communication. We originally booked the 6:30 AM flight and were asked to move it to 7:00 AM, which we agreed to. However, when we arrived, we were told our company wasn’t there yet. Unfortunately, no one communicated with us about the delay, and they didn’t arrive until around 8:00–8:30 AM. Additionally, some of the crew assisting with the paperwork weren’t very friendly. Despite the delay and communication issues, the paragliding experience itself was unforgettable, and we still had an amazing time.

Great experience and thoroughly enjoyed the journey of the mountain. Very dissatisfied with the afterwards part. We paid 400 Rand each for the video and photos. We uploaded my wife's journey however my journey wouldn't upload. All my details were taken and was promised they would be sent later that day via email/whatsapp. Nothing has arrived even after sending numerous messages/emails to them asking where the video/images are? Very, very disappointed with this as its not everyday you do this activity and have nothing to look at or show family what a wonderful experience it was.

Very dependent on the weather which is totally correct, the day it was planned had too much wind we went the next day with very little wind, this meant a backlog of people waiting to fly and the flight felt a little rushed. However it was a great experience and well worth going highly recommended. The pilots were excellent and friendly. The GoPro was good value for money so I would recommend paying the 400 rande extra.

Amazing flight. Everyone was incredibly helpful. Would do it again and again!! The view was spectacular and the pilot was incredibly nice. Smiled all the way down.

I loved it! My amazing guide Deniz was great. His skillful guidance was wonderful. I had never done this activity before, but I knew immediately I was in good hands. The takeoff and the landing were so smooth and the whole flight was great. I am sure if I get the chance again, I will do it again.

Unfortunately the wind conditions were never right for me, so I ended up not paragliding after trying twice. I still had a good experience: the pilots and staff were professional, the starting location was beautiful, and the company was great about sending the refund. If you have your heart set on paragliding during your time in Cape Town, I would recommend having flexibility in your schedule if your first attempt falls through - you’re at the mercy of the wind. Additionally, wind conditions are often unfavorable around sunset (but it’s absolutely gorgeous on the hill, so you might still find it worth trying).

My friend who was brave enough to partake in this activity describes it as an exhilarating experience that she had ticked of her bucket list. She also says the pilot was friendly very helpful and kept her relaxed throughout.

Wow, what an amazing experience. I decided to go paragliding for the very first on my actual birthday. What an experience! The view if Cape Town from the sky is breathtaking. I flew with Earl and I can say he was so kind and very patient with me, he is absolutely the best. Thank you Earl for making my birthday a day that I will never forget. I highly recommend this tour.

Wow this was fun! It was quick and exhilarating. Earl flew with me and he was very kind. Would definitely recommend. Only thing to note is since this is so weather dependent we only were notified about 1 hour before if we were flying or not!

This is quite an experience if you like thrills! It's a different perspective to enjoy the city and the views! Try booking it as early on during your trip as this activity is weather permitting and it can get canceled on the day of and be rescheduled for later. The entire team was excellent on communicating and providing me with options. I would highly recommend.

This was a wholesome amd amazing experience The instructors were amazing and the views were absolutely stunning. I just got back from an incredible paragliding experience and I'm still grinning from ear to ear! The views of Cape Town were absolutely stunning, and the sense of freedom and thrill was exhilarating. Our pilot was experienced, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the flight. The takeoff and landing were smooth, and the whole experience was well-organized. If you're looking for an adventure that will push you out of your comfort zone and leave you feeling elated, I highly recommend paragliding with these guys. Can't wait to do it again!

Operating company was very organized and very punctual, however, I thought the flying was rather short and flying low. But the pilot said cold weather would not make enough hot air to go high. Understood!

Wow, what an amazing experience. The flight crew took care of everything. I just had to sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing views. It went way too quick I could have floated up there all morning. My Husband had the same experience. This is a must do while in Cape Town!

My paragliding flight got rebooked for two days later due to the weather and wind conditions, so for the optimal experience I recommend keeping flexible and arranging for the start of your visit to Cape Town in case the weather doesn't cooperate. Communication was easy and I was picked up directly from my hotel in Sea Point. I flew with Chris and he made the whole flight so fun and took fantastic photos, he even put me in touch with another Norwegian paraglider so I can start taking my own lessons and learn more about this sport. Great community to be part of!

It was a memorable and life changing experience, a blend of excitement, and peace. It was my first time and the paraglider made it so easy and I was able to conquer my fear. I took nice pictures and videos and it was perfect

Due to weather & winds, it took us 3 attempts to do the flight but it was well worth the wait! Our instructors were amazing (thanks to Johan who took me) and gave clear instructions & made us feel so safe. The experience is like no other-amazing views and just such a feeling of truly flying. This was a bucket list to do and I am so glad I achieved it in my 66th year. Can't praise the company enough for their patience and kindness & we are no all truly hooked on the paragliding experience!!!

The Flight experience was incredible. The instructor was very Friendly. He gave me an amazing experience soaring through the sky.Only that my photos and videos were erroneously discarded and attempts to recover them didn't succeed and so i lack photos to capture the beautiful moment in time. Otherwise for the flight, i would recommend.

Brilliant experience with excellent instructors. We opted for the 6am glide and it was brilliant, I was put at ease as I was a little nervous. We were well looked after, I would definitely recommend.

The flight was amazing, the views exquisite. the glider was patient with me even when we failed to take off the first time(my fault).

A truly tremendous experience flying from Signal Hill. Good equipment, great instructor and oh my, that view - wow! The flight is gentle, peaceful and calm, and a soft landing to finish. Loved it!
