Cape Town: Half-day Table Mountain Cable Car Tickets

Thanks for giving the ticket on time and the lady was communicating with me town the waiting period much appreciated

This hike is challenging but well worth it if you like bouldering. Unfortunately it was foggy on our hike but happy we had Kurt Kruger as our guide. He was patient and clearly articulated what we would expect from the terrain. If you can I would highly suggest to request Kurt for this or any hike in Cape Town.

The ticketing process was very efficient and enabled us to do our visit without having to queue. It was great!

Very well organized. We changed pick up locations the night before, but they still went and pick us up in our hotel. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed his facilitation of the tour. I would say it was great value for money.

All you need to know is that the price for a normal ticket at viator is as high as a fast track ticket elsewhere. So you wait 2h more for the same amount! Priceless 🤬

I never received a WhatsApp message with ticket QR code and so had issues getting on the cable car . Thankfully the staff at Table Mountain were more than helpful and sorted it for us ! But not ideal So be aware you need to have received a WhatsApp message to get on the cable car

We were disappointed with the amount Viator charged once we got there we were told we were overcharged and we needed to upgrade to the fast track ticket Wouldn’t use Viator again

Table Mountain is fantastic but becoming a very over visited and spoilt attraction. The Viator trip consisted of at least twice the normal ticket priced opportunity to stand in a queue for the cable car (an impressive piece of engineering) but no additional information or support. I wouldn’t have missed the visit but don’t pay Viator for your ticket - they’re simply a very expensive middle man.

Plan for 30 - 60 mins wait to get on cable car, even if you have tickets. Wait area is shaded and well organised. Take a jacket, its much cooler at the top. Great experience

There’s was a long queue, you need to add more cable cars to and from mountain And the the online prices are very expensive and I don’t see what’s special it being too expensive than the normal prices at the gate

Coins needed to use binoculars. Good weather is not promised, we had lots of clouds today. But the experience was wonderful

The tickets were not recognised by Table Mountain and Viator failed in its contract. We had to pay twice!

I was conned because this was the first site that came up. It was much more expensive than if I had managed to go through the actual cable car site. My own fault. As a Senior citizen I would have paid R150 but this site did not have a senior discount. It cost R 1000 per person. There was no tour just a ticket to get up and down the mountain. Complete rip off

Fafa was the operator of this tour. I was told by two different people today that the cable car was closed due to the cloud cover. I contacted her and she tried to tell me that it was going to change and that I would be able to do the tour, but I did not want to go there and find out that it was not available… I would not use this company again

I bought a fast track ticket for R1000 per person only to get the venue to be told it's a general ticket which costs R460 at the venue.....I had to pay an additional amount of R2000 for a fast track. I could have 3200 but with Viator I ended up paying 4700 just to get to the Table mountain with my husband and my son . A total reap off

Our family spent three unforgettable days exploring Cape Town and the Table Mountain Cable Car was the highlight The ride was smooth and safe for kids and the staff were warm and helpful At the top we enjoyed breathtaking views of the city ocean and mountains perfect for family photos and quiet moments together The experience felt magical and relaxing making it a must do for any family visiting Cape Town.

That its better to buy the tickets direct with cable car .I booked for my husband and daughter we payed doulb6the amount if we booked direct with cable car wich I find very expensive even if they explained why the double price.When I get to the cable car on my profile they send me 7 ticket instead of 3 and 5 of those tickets where used I had to stand in the w8and call them so they se d me a third ticket for my daughter the embarrassment of having to sit and wait and be told your tickets are use already after being charged an arm and a leg.Not impressed at all.I couldn't even pay for fast track cause I used a third-party.

They are scammers, i bought 2 tickets when i arrived at the checkpoint in Table Mountain one ticket was invalid. Apparently it was refunded,

I booked through Viator and was sent tickets by a lady from Nyasha Travel and Tours. The service was so pathetic because when I got to the ticket office, I was told the tickets were already used. They also charge almost double the amount Table Mountain charges and it’s not even a Track ticket. I wouldn’t recommend using Viator.

We thought we had a specific time slot to board the tram. Not so we waited in line over two hours to go up and about the same to come down. We learned that there was a Fast Pass option but it was expensive.

This is a scam. They are reselling regular tickets at fast track prices with no tour guide or transportation being offered. They tour guide just sent me a QR screenshot of a regular ticket. For this price you can just buy a fast track ticket at the facility. They are false advertising so beware!!

We bought 2 fast track cable car tickets for Tafelberg cablecars through Viator. We received our tickets at 1am the morning of our booking at 10am. When requesting more information we were told "you should have already been there". This was 7:58!am. We went to the cablecars through the fast track gate only to be told the tickets bought at R1000 each (which is the price for a fast track ticket) was not fast track tickets so we need to go either wait in the 3hour queue or upgrade the tickets to fast track at the offices on site. We got to the office only to be told they cannot upgrade the one ticket since it was scanned. We upgraded the one ticket at a cost of R650 extra to the R1000paid for it and had to buy another new ticket at the R1000 fast track price. In essence, a R2000 experience ended up costing us R4750. Do NOT BOOK through this platform. Communication is poor!

This is not a legitimate business . When we called for assistance, someone answered the phone who sounded like they were asleep. Secondly the link to your tickets is not the actual thing and we almost got stuck at the top of mountain. The manager informed us that we were not the first visitors that this happened to. Go directly to table mountain via Google and book your tickets there.

We couldn’t get up there because of crazy amount of people in line. We arrived at 10am. We tried to get fast track tickets but the staff was kind to tell us that it wouldn’t make a difference

Straight to the point, plenty of advise regarfing activities, was advised to move my table mountain booking from5pm due to windy conditions to 7.30am the following day. That was best advise. Weather was perfect

It was not worthy it , the 450 ticket from the official table mountain website it's enough to give one the experience they need especially if you are traveling on a tight budget . Unlike paying 1000 for the same experience .

We wasted R 2000 through Aviator. Could not use the tickets at the venue. We needed to buy totally new tickets

Was very disappointed to find out that this was not a Fast track ticket for this price. The Table Mountain website sells these normal tickets for half this price, an absolute scam! Rather buy straight from the Table Mountain website and get Fast track for the same price as this.

You get a fantastic view of the city and the surrounding areas. Well organized with footpaths and places to take pictures.

It was relatively easy to get there(we took a Uber). The queue moved quickly, (we booked for 10am.).Luckily, we brought our hoodies and hiking shoes otherwise we would have missed the beautiful scenery and photo opportunity. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This was passed on to two other sites We did not receive our tickets only confirmation we took 3 hours to sort this out and nearly lost the event We were furious and so upset Did you know it’s passed on to two other sites it was a nightmare

It starts quietly—Cape Town waking beneath a soft morning haze. The cable car rises, almost floating, while the world below becomes smaller and softer. Up there, the wind carries a stillness you can almost touch. The sea stretches endlessly, the city glimmers far away, and time itself seems to pause. It’s not just a ride; it’s a slow drift into wonder. Even after you descend, part of you stays behind—somewhere high above the clouds, resting in the mountain’s calm.

We had to queue for 2.5 hours despite having pre-booked tickets, and we were lucky as it wasn't unbearably hot; in hindsight I wish I paid extra for skip-the-line tickets. Nonetheless it was definitely worth it, with stunning views. The food in the cafe at the top was absolutely awful though, by far the worst food I've paid to eat in recent years; take a picnic instead!

Scenic, Smooth and Totally worth it - Even with the wait. we absolutely loved this experience. We learned a lot while enjoying the ride. The cable car ride itself was smooth and fun and once we reach the top, the views were absolutely breathtaking.

Cape Town gave us a truly memorable experience. We were treated to wonderful views of the coastline and a fantastic view.

My family really enjoyed the experience of table mountain and Figo travel and tours makes the journey so smoothly and we recommend you use Figo travel and tours for the best experience

I recently did the half-day Table Mountain tour in Cape Town, and it was absolutely worth it! The entire experience was smooth and well-organized. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the mountain, Cape Town’s history, and local culture throughout. Highly recommend this for first-time visitors or anyone wanting a stress-free way to see Table mountain.

Everything went for the best evening ordered and at night the tickets were on the phone we had a wonderful day on Table Mountain with wonderful weather
