We spent a total of six days with Stuart (GoodTimes in Cape Town) and he was, hands down, one of the best parts of our trip. Even before we arrived, Stuart made the planning incredibly easy. We shared a few preferences and “must-dos” in advance, and he built a smart itinerary that actually made sense — realistic timing, great flow, no stress. And once we were there, everything stayed wonderfully flexible: if the weather changed or we simply felt like switching things up, Stuart adjusted instantly and it never felt rushed or chaotic. Over those days we covered so much, but it never felt like ticking boxes. We explored District Six and had some truly meaningful, eye-opening conversations about Apartheid, daily life, and the people of South Africa — Stuart shares history in a way that really stays with you. He also took us to a great mix of places: the Neighbourgoods Market, Bo-Kaap, Kirstenbosch Gardens, and several great museums. Timing-wise he is a master. He suggested Table Mountain at exactly the right moment when the weather was perfect and there were no queues — we didn’t even need a Fast Lane ticket. He also joined us for the Lion’s Head hike, which made it feel both safer and more special, and he organized an unforgettable helicopter flight flawlessly. Food and drinks were just as spot-on: Stuart had fantastic recommendations and reservations, and we tried plenty of South African specialties along the way. He also made sure everyone in our group was happy — including adding beer tastings alongside the wine tastings for the guys. What really sets Stuart apart is how genuinely attentive and helpful he is — not only during the tours, but in between as well. He was always reachable on WhatsApp, gave us endless great tips, and made everything feel easy from start to finish. We also did the Cape Peninsula Tour and multiple wine tastings with him, and the quality and consistency were exceptional across the board. If you want to explore Cape Town with someone who is professional, warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and can tailor each day to your mood while still keeping everything perfectly organized — book Stuart. Highest recommendation.

Anesu was excellent and we customized the tour to our liking. He explained the city history, took us to the places we really wanted to see even though they were not on the list. I highly recommend Anesu.
Stuart is an excellent guide who tailored the tour to our wishes. We wanted to visit a museum that was not in the program: no problem for Stuart. He is enthusiastic and knows a lot. He is an excellent host. Next time I would definitely book a tour with him again. This tour gives a nice introduction to Cape Town.
A very informative and interesting tour. Stuart is an excellent guide. The history and depth of knowledge gave us a great understanding of this area.
We had such a kind young gentleman who was very informative and he is Stuart : he was very patient with us and took us to most of the historical streets nnplaces around Cape town : we had a great time we enjoyed every moment
The experience was phenomenal,Stuart was the best , full of knowledge and very fun , we really had a wonderful time with him Keep shining we definately coming back and be our guide again.
Our driver Stuart was awesome! Knowledgeable on the history and was very accommodating. He was very patient with us when we interrupted him many times to ask questions and share stories of our own experiences. My husband and I came to Cape Town for work and with very limited time to do tourist thing in we hired Stuart to drive us around downtown and share with the history of this beautiful but complex city. The day before I had asked Stuart if he could drop us off at the end of our tour to the 12 apostle hotel and spa in the Camp Bay Area for our spa appointment and he agreed. Even recommending he pickup is up earlier. He even kept watch of time during our tour to make sure we did not miss our spa appointment. He was kind, respectful and watched out for our safety throughout the tour. He even went out of his way to go backwards on our tour to get coffee when my husband asked if it was possible. Really appreciated the time we spent with you Stuart! Thank you.
Our tourist guide, Stuart, was amazing! He has been giving tours for 10 years and showed us all of the must sees in Cape Town and then some. Very nice, clean vehicle. He allowed us all the time we wanted at each stop and never made us feel rushed. Highly recommend.
Stuart was able to fit so much of Cape Town’s history into one morning! He tailored the tour to our family beautifully, showing us both well known sites and smaller ones. We learned a lot and enjoyed the day.
Thanks Stuart for taking care of us while in Cape Town, you made our life so easy with my 2 kids. This was an unforgettable trip for us and the kids loved it. Stuart was always on time for our day to day activities, He comes highly recommended.
I contacted Stuart for our transfer from Cape Town International Airport to our hotel, it was last minute he didn't disappointed us , thank you Stuart.
Having done the Cape tour with Stuart the day before, we were excited but underprepared for the hard-hitting history we were about to be taught on this tour. CPT has a complex history, and Stuart gave us it all, in chronological order, no holds barred, with hands-on interaction where possible. It was the best history lesson you could ask for and kept us absolutely speechless at times. History aside, it was also a very enjoyable morning, with some beautiful sights and opportunities to explore areas we wouldn't have visited alone. We also squeezed in a cable-car ride in the morning, which was stunning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rour, an absolute must do in Cape Town!
I contacted Stuart prior to our arrival in Cape Town. He is responsive and professional. We booked him for three days and he tailor-made our itinerary with our input, which was appreciated. Stuart picked us up from the airport and served as our guide and chaperone for our entire stay. He is very knowledgeable, prompt and safety conscious. We visited the Cape of Good Hope via Chapman’s Bay and the coastal towns (with a wonderful stop for coffee at a little farm market cafe). We saw the penguins at Boulders Beach and visited Simons Town. We hiked up Table Mountain and Lions Head. Kirstenbosch is beautiful. We saw Bo-Kaap, The Waterfront (aquarium), the District Six museum, the castle, Green Market Square, The Old Biscuit Mill and the Woodstock area. We had lunch at Groot Constantia (with a quick stop at the ropes course!) one day and several excellent dinners in the Waterfront area. The entire time we were learning from Stuart. We traveled with our two young boys and they had a blast. Highly recommend. Thanks again Stuart!
Thank you so much Stuart from Good Times! We enjoyed our City tour with your company and will definitely recommend.
What a rich history of Cape Town and South Africa, thank you Good Times In Cape Town. This was highlight of our visit to Cape Town,we learnt a lot from Stuart and he is very knowledgeable.
Very informative and Interesting! Thank you our Guide Stuart,we enjoyed our City Tour and will definitely recommend this for someone interested in South African history.
Stuart is very knowledgeable, passionate and directed us towards some great local businesses we might have otherwise missed. He also took the time to connect individually with each one of us to share his own stories and where they fit into the historical context of the area. Bo Kaap was absolutely amazing. I loved the history regarding that area and also took us to a museum. The historic city tour is not a very long experience but it does ground recent major developments in South African governance and the end of Apartheid in a sense of place, imparting a true appreciation for the cultural diversity that makes the city so wonderful. Thank you Stuart for your time, knowledge, passion and showing us the phenomenal Cape Town.
Cape Town is 1 beautiful and memorable city, from colorful houses to great art attractions on the walls, our tour guide showed it all and was so patient as we love taking pictures. Thank you Stuart you rock.
The city tour is a definite must on all tourists’ itineraries, it is extremely interesting & one learns so much about the mother city’s past history! My personal highlight was the visit to the castle that was built in the 1600’s & we were led around by the local castle tour guide who is extremely knowledgeable & interactive with his guests! Thanks Stuart for an extremely interesting day out on the town!
We booked Stuart through our hotel for our City Tour, he was very knowledgeable about the history of South Africa. He made our day memorable and pleasant, we visited district 6 museum which had rich history about apartheid, castle of good hope, city hall, company's gardens, Bokaap and Noon Gun. Thank you so much Stuart, you made our visit to Cape Town unforgettable.
Ce fut une excursion enrichissante, instructive et, en même temps, pourvue d'une touche d'humour très appréciée. Bravo et merci à notre guide Anesu.
