The Hop On Hop Off tour routes were great - lots of sights to see on all the routes. I especially liked following the coast back into the V&A Wharf. Courteous and friendly drivers, very accommodating to passengers who needed a little more time to board and disembark.

Nice trip. Helpful drivers and guides. We saw al the highlights of Cape Town we wanted to see.
Great trip around Cape Town, especially the blue Peninsula route. Good regular stops and buses available. Commentary is very informative. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
Fantastic way to get around to main sights and to stop off at some other towns. Great that the lines met up meaning we could get home via any one. We got a 3 day pass and thought this was reasonable. Would definetly recommend recommend
Great way to see and learn about this beautiful city! The highlight was the drive up Table Mountain and riding the gondola to the top of the mountain for a 360 view of the city!
I love hop on hop off buses and Cape Tow’s did not disappoint. I was impressed that there was more than one route. We went on the red route and the blue route the first day in Cape Town. This allowed us to see the places we were thinking of visiting and ruling out the ones that didn’t interest us. This was the first time that all the plugs worked when listening to the history of the different areas. The cruise we added was nice. I thought it was a bit short. I would have liked to seen more of the area. The best part was the bus stop was right in front of our hotel. We used the service twice with two weeks in between.
Excellent semi open-top buses, complete with multilingual commentary that is really informative. Carefully driven, the buses have two separate routes which are conjoined for the most pictureque section, giving a rough;y 15 minute interval service there. The full circuits are roughly 90 minutes and 140 minutes respectively, meaning using both on a single day really fills your day at a bargain price. I can't recommend this tour enough.
This hop on hop off option served very well my plans in Cape Town. It concentrades on main spots and you just get off and back on whenever you wish to.
This is a very good way to get around Cape Town. We used all three lines - red, blue and purple. The commentary on board was very informative and clear to hear. The commentary is heard using earbuds that come with the ticket.
We were told you could only scan ticket once so my husband tossed his. It turns out he needed it and even though we had proof of payment they refused to issue a new ticket. Thought it would be a good way to see the city but you would be better off using another company. It was ridiculous that they wouldn’t issue him another ticket or just let him on. The receipt even had the date
Too many steps to complete the whole process you can simplify by creating boxes to tick QR code should be sent by email and sms as an individual email and not hidden inside text messages I struggle to find the QR code and kept everyone waiting in the queue I am retired and new technology changes and create unnecessary steps and processes Keep it simple keep it easier to navigate
Great way to see the events and decide which ones warrant a closer look with more time. Many activities were fun to see but I didn't need to see them again.
Better organized than any other hop on bus I've used in other cities! There's a tracker website to see how soon buses will arrive, and staff at the office locations help with any questions you have. At some locations there's a staff person at the bus stops to help out.
Excellent value for money and a great way to see the area. We booked the two day premium experience and took both the red and blue routes. The red route took us up to Signal hill as the cable car was closed for maintenance and we had fabulous views across the city. Worth having a stop here for 20 mins and walking around this point before heading off to Camps bay for a walk along the beach and views of the ocean. Heading back to the main terminal at Victoria and Alfred and chance to shop in the waterfront. Blue route is the Peninsula which takes in the botanical gardens and then around Hout Bay before joining the red route back to the main terminal. Driving was good, information at stop off points about the timetable was well posted and the routes easy to navigate and plan. Definitely worth the trip if you have only got a few days to see Cape Town,
Lovely day on the bus tour, driver friendly and drove very well
Great way to see the island. Can change to the purple bus for the wine region - Groot Constantia was well worth the visit. Would recommend the botanical gardens too
Always a great experience and this time round extra special to take my parents on the trip
Absolutely worthwhile way to get not just an overview of Cape Town, which covers a large area, but also to be dropped off right where you need to be then picked up again for the next section of your tour. The included map shows all the stops and the red line covers most likely sites you’ll want to see. The office on Long Street has a great cafe (exceptional staff too, one of whom also kept an eye on our safety, unnoticed, early one morning!). This is also the starting point for truly excellent free walking tours. Be sure to tip your guide fairly as that’s how they are paid!
Hoho Cape Town was interesting with beautiful views. We weren’t able to go up Table mountain due to winds.
Great way to see the city. We did the harbor cruise. Sunset and rode each line. Just do it! Awesome city.
Great experience, and the sites were really great. We was able to see a lot of history and learn new ideas in the process
Good way to get an extensive tour of Cape Town and surrounding areas. Blue line is scenic and worth the time.
Excellent value - an awesome way to get a view of the greater Cape Town!
Have been on quite a few Hop On/Off tours around the world. This was probably the best one. Very good narration with a beautiful venue all around.
All round it was a great experience, but there should be further updates on some activities that are paid like the extra fees charged for wine tasting and other stopovers
It was a good overall view of the city.and does go too all the spots of interest.would recommend to get a overall sense of were you want to go.
Great way to see the place, did the trip to the table mountain then did the peninsula trip
This is a great way to see Cape Town! We thoroughly enjoyed our day spending at different places along the route!
Great way to get a feel for the city and surrounds. Good informative commentary during the tour. Handy bus schedule to plan your stops and the sights you want to see during your day.
It was very informative and we saw a lot.
A great way to see the city. The audio commentary was helpful and entertaining. Buses ran frequently.
First time doing trip on cold windy day but enjoyed as much it as in summer, just make sure to dress warm...sightings and commentary on bus great...staff was great..learn alot more about Cape Town...wonderful experience...will do again and again
That there are three different hop on hop off roots, and that they should research each of the route to decide which one best meets their needs
Brilliant - so easy to get on and off. Changeover on blue line to go to Winery at Constantia was very efficient. Commentary was great with some humour which made us smile. Harbour tour was great, if a little underwhelming but again, the commentary was informative and funny, in places. A great way to get a feel for Cape Town.
Best value for your money to get around Cape Town and see all of the major attractions. The multi day ticket gives you additional benefits.
A ride taking you to.majoe stops in capetown. Ths blue route takes you to the country which is also nice
Ideal activity for an insight into Cape Town. Buses were clean and ran on time, staff friendly. Spot on!
Two years ago my wife and I visited Cape Town and did the Red Bus tour. We didn't know there were different routes so our expectations were not fully met. This time we did the Premium package, 2-days Hop-on/Hop-off which covered all 3 routes and all the boxes were ticked...great value for money. We also met Gael at the Long Street Stop and he was kind enough to help us create a memorable video💯👏👏
It was an awesome experience to get to know Cape Town especially since it was our first time in the City.
Great way to see the city. Highly recommended. We stopped for lunch near the beach and then hopped back on for the rest of the tour.
The stops nearest my hotel We’re not operating. I should have waited to buy the hop on hop Off ticket after I arrived.
We had a group of 31, and we had a great experience. The service was excellent, the buses ran on time. It really is a great way to see Cape Town!
I have given this an average score as a few of the bus staff dont seem to like their jobs, they are quite rude and miserable. Particularly in the office on Long street in Cape Town. If you dont like your job, get another. Also staff now seem to be more interested in their mobile phone life, than their job. Tourists expect a nice cheerful welcome, it leaves a good impression. The buses and the routes are fine, prompt and clean.
Great overview of the city. Convenient stops at most tourist attractions. Good commentary on the bus. Excellent value
Got 2 day premium ticket which was great value for money. Day 1 went on blue route and stopped off at Groot Constantia vineyard for wine tasting. We then carried on along the blue route which in total took around 6 hours. Day 2 we went on the included harbour cruise which was very informative. We then took the red route so that we could connect with the Urban Safari bus and the walking tour of Bo Kaap which were included in the ticket price.
We travel alot around the world and always appreciate a well done HoHo bus, this one was excellent. The buses are in great shape, come in a very regular cadence, and the audio system works well. The stops are great, it's easy to change lines, and you get to see so much beautiful scenery. It was a great way to get to and from Table Mountain and then continue exploring. Recommend getting off in Camps Bay for lunch! We chose the multi-day ticket that included the Harbor & Marina boat tours from the V&A waterfront, an excellent value. The weather changes quickly and some areas are very windy, so dress accordingly and enjoy Cape Town!
The LaGuGu tour with Thobela and Luyolo was deeply moving, fascinating, safe, and fun! It was amazing to drive away from downtown Cape Town and into the history of apartheid in South Africa. The driver, Thobela, had a big personality, explaining what we were seeing very clearly and adding his sense of humor to the fun of the experience. Luyolo then told us the brief history of Langa and walked us around the township, pointing out the different levels of living, letting us peek into a preschool, and reinforcing the sense of community as he said hello and waved to many residents. We all felt safe, and the residents, especially the children, were welcoming. Luyolo was smart, knowledgeable, and explained everything so well, answering questions with thoughtful responses. He deserves to go to university! All in all, it is a tour that my husband and I will always remember as a window into SA history and a tribute to the resilience of the black community. Don't miss out!
The red route covers the majority of stops people would want to visit in Cape Town. The audio is informative and interesting. Very convenient that it stops at Table Mountain as well.
Great way to see the main sites and a good idea to hope off at the sites you like
The bus drivers were so friendly and helpful, which made everything even better. We could truly relax and just enjoy the journey without any stress. And the two-day option is such great value for money — definitely an affordable way to explore and make the most of it!
