Theo was a fantastic guide! We had a great tour and it was even more wonderful because we were able to hear Theo’s experience growing up in Cape Town. We saw the Castle of Good Hope, stopped at some awesome shops, and extended our tour to visit the Langa township. Theo also introduced us to the masala steak gatsby which is a must try when in Cape Town!

Nathan and his wife were my guides. He drove me around the city he loves and is utterly passionate about. Really appreciated his accommodation of my floral photo stop requests!

Very interesting visit around Cape Town including the castle, parliament buildings, community gardens and all sorts of buildings and streets which brought alive the history and some of the local colour. Karin was a very knowledgeable guide and very friendly and tailored to what we were most interested in. Good to read up a bit before the tour to be able to get the most out of the details and then to have time to follow up with a visit to one of the museums.

This was a wonderful tour on our first full day in Cape Town. We got a feel for the city and learned a lot more about the history. We got good exercise with great exposure to many different areas. A great way to begin our vacation!

This was excessive walking. Not recommended if it is too hot. We did not get the snack. The tour guide was hard to hear.

I learned much from Sebastian about the history of S. Africa. He shared some of his personal experience during some turbulent times, and how these experiences were culturally ingrained in young people. I enjoyed the castle visit. Sebastian was very attuned to our safety at all times. We also learned about great local food establishments. Thank you for a great afternoon, Sebastian!

Tour lasted less than 4 hours. Castle of Good Hope was closed in preparation for the opening of parliament. Guide did not take us to Bo-kaap. In hindsight we should have spent more time at Slave Lodge since tour only lasted 2.5 hours.

Parinita really cares about her city and tailoring the experience to suit your proclivities. We spent a lovely few hours in her company.

It was our first day in Cape Town and Sebastian gave us a great tour. He shared many information on the city's history as well as of his family, and many tips useful for the upcoming days. He made us feel very safe and at ease the whole tour

Wow - What a delight to see so much of what this city has to offer. Our tour guide, Sebastian, was knowledgeable, fun and prioritized our safety as he showed us a mix of historical and cultural locations. The walk was delightful insight into the feelings and flavours of South Africa’s history and potential. Even after our tour, Sebastian was available (via WhatsApp) if we had questions or needed recommendations. This tour is a must-do for anyone who is curious and inspired to get to know a city on a personal-level.

Sebastian helped me to have the best experience I could have in Cape Town. First, As I was alone traveling in his city, he gave me a lot of tips to feel safe every time when I was alone. First the tour guide contacted me to say he would have to send a colleague an hour later than scheduled as he had an accident. Which would have been fine, except he mixed the weeks and was 7 days too early. Can happen and we have clarified. One week later we arrived at the designated place as per the ticket purchased. Just the guide did never show up. Reached out to him (Nathan), seemingly he had canceled the tour at the tour operator 'withlocals'. This was a big disappointment as nobody did bother to inform us and we wasted half a day as a result. Did not even receive an apology from either Nathan or withlocals. Bad experience but I gave two points as we got at least reimbursed.

We spent 4 hours on the highlights of Cape Town tour and it was excellent. Sebastian is very easy going and nothing was too much trouble. He was very knowledgeable and it was fascinating hearing the history and especially the impact of apartheid given that is recent history in our lifetime. I would thoroughly recommend Sebastian.

Traveled to Cape Town with friends. We booked this excursion 1 month out and was excited to participate. The day before this voucher, my friend received a notice stating it was canceled. A refund was issued for 4 people. However, I did not receive this same notice, and when I tried to explain this situation to obtain a refund- I was met with silence. For obvious reasons, I did not feel safe traveling to this pick up location alone and thereafter leaving the drop off location alone as well. Our voucher was for Sept 13th. I have yet to receive any communication or refund regarding this matter. My advise, it's not worth fighting for $155 due to the majority of your party being canceled and met with absolute no communication

Christopher’s tour was top notch. I recommend anyone who wants to get past the surface level things to dive into a local’s tour.

My husband and I had a great experience walking for 4 hours through Capetown with Sebastian. Not only does he have a very eleborate knowledge of the history of South-Africa, Capetown and its people, he also has a great sense of humour. He is very kind and makes you feel safe at any moment. Parinita was an excellent guide. She took us to all the places we wanted to see and gave us tips on where to eat. This is a really good way to learn about the history of the city and to see places like Bo Kaap, where the hop on hop off bus doesn't go.

We (a group of 4 adults) have chosen the Withlocals company and their guide Sebastian to show us Cape Town based on feedback from other customers. Our tour guide was amazing! He went above and beyond. Our plans got changed last minute that day, we asked if we could move our time up to start our tour earlier, and he left his own vacation early just to accommodate us. What a wonderful gesture! He was so knowledgeable and kind. He even took us to the right location so we could meet the rest of our tour group at the correct time. He was so sweet! Highly recommend

A great introduction to Cape Town. And the four-hour walking tour was perfect following a long stretch of flying the day before. Sebastian was an excellent guide. He obviously enjoyed what he did, and knew more history than we could absorb in an our short time together. He was also happy to talk about current events. He will also quickly set you straight -- with a smile -- on the difference between what South African's call a braai and a barbecue.

We just returned from our first time in Cape Town. We did an amazing guided walking tour with our host Sebastian. We hightly recommend doing this tour. From the beginning to the end, Sebastian was outstanding. He shared his expertise of the history and city's vibrant culture making this experience a truly memorable one. He gave of recommendations of things to see and places to eat during our stay. Sebastian took us on a journey and he exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful city. We saw places we would probably not have otherwise seen. Our only suggestion is to do the tour at the front end of your stay. We did ours closer to the end of our time there and wished we had done the tour sooner.

I met Rushdi for a solo tour of Cape Town. I have travelled all over the world but was slightly anxious about walking around the city on my own. Rushdi immediately put me at ease and I felt very safe throughout the whole tour. His knowledge was excellent and I learnt all about the history of the city as well as seeing some diverse sights and have a much greater understanding of the history of Cape Town. And excellent guide who was able to tailor the tour to my needs. Highly recommended.

Sebastian was outstanding. He recognized right away that our youngest was energetic and probably would have had a hard time on the planned tour. So when I asked him for a change of plan- to guide us to the top of Table Mountain- he enthusiastically agreed and gave us a wonderful spontaneous tour of Table Mountain, Bo Kaap, Company’s Gardens and the markets downtown. It was just the perfect tour for us to get our bearings for our first day in Cape Town and to learn about the rich history of the country and city. Sebastian was most patient and knowledgeable and made us feel so safe and comfortable.

We truly enjoyed our time spent with Theo, even if it was a little different from the advertised experience. Rather than walking for 4 hours we were standing about half that time in the castle alone (a little too long for our taste). However, he was able to provide wonderful insights in South African Society, politics and economics, which we truly enjoyed. Not sure we saw many of the promised "hidden gems", but the meeting point itself was already a worthwhile experience with fantastic coffee and baked goods. Overall a great half day out and a fantastic host sharing his stories and insights with us. Thanks Theo!

Multidimensional tour with depth of knowledge and insights into the Apartheid era. Sebastian is personable and engaging which made for a really fun day out and about.

My friend and I did the Cape Town city tour with Sebastian. Sebastian is an amazing tour guide, with a lot of knowledge about Cape Town and about the history of South-Africa and Cape Town. He answered all of our questions, shared interesting insights on the history of buildings on the tour and treated us to some very good tasting samosa’s. Moreover he gave us great suggestions for places we should revisit and take our time to explore. We would highly recommend Sebastian as a tour guide!

A wonderful day with the nice local guide Dev. You make a nice walk through the city centre en make a visit to 2 museums (one about Nelson Mandela and one in the castle about the history of the country in general). Dev knew and loved his country and is nice person to spend the day with!

Today we made a guided walking tour with Parinita and she took us to castle of good hope , house of parliament , Nelson Mandela museum, Bo Kaap and so on. She nows a lot about the history of Cape Town and shared historical details wich made our tour very interesting and we visit places that we probably wouldn’t see by ourselves! So yes we highly recommend a tour with a local person !!

It was an absolutely amazing day. Sebastian is a smart, thoughtful and cool person. The way he tells about the people and history of Cape Town makes fall in love with the city even more. Well to be fair, we went to the wrong Truth Coffee Shop via cab. So that threw our whole trip off. Our guide wasn’t able to adjust well. Toured an old Diamond/Gold store which was amazing. The owner was a great guide. We enjoyed the colorful buildings HOWEVER- our guide was horrid. We walked and walked with no conversation. I had to ask questions constantly to pull any information from her. I think I had read more information than she provided. Then she stopped us off at the Castle at 1230 for a tour. We waited at the tour spot only to find out the tour didn’t start until 2 pm! She dumped us off knowing we would not get a real tour. No special treat was provided nor bathroom stops. No drink provided as described. We found a tour guide at the Castle who was amazing and paid him for a private tour. This guide needs a new job!!! We are experienced travelers with hundreds of tours and this guide was second to the worst we’ve had

We had a fantastic tour with a Sebastián. He immersed us in the history and culture of Cape Town where is was born and raised. He had us captivated and we could have gone on all day. Such an incredible authentic person. I highly recommend him as a tour guide.
