The two guides were OK. The van was comfortable. However we were not told that the tour stopped at the Diamond Exchange for at least 45 minutes where you were encouraged to buy jewelry. While the glass of Proscecco was appreciated, my friend and I had no interest in shopping. This should have been offered at the end of the tour as an optional activity for those interested in shopping. The tour could have started nearly an hour later without this activity.

I had the pleasure of joining a city tour with Delon as our guide. It was wonderful to experience the tour from a guest’s perspective, and I thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Delon deserves a special mention for making the experience so enjoyable. Exploring the city yourself gives you a fresh appreciation for what it has to offer, and this tour certainly did that for me. Thank you, Delon, for a memorable day and for representing African Eagle so well!
This review is for their day tour as well as the airport transfer service. We had a great time with Hamilton for our city and Table Mountain day trip. He's friendly, funny, and gave clear instructions. He drove safely, and very knowledgeable about the city. We had a fantastic time. Then we used their airport transfer service a few times, everytime they're on time and courteous. We enjoyed their friendly chat and could tell they really enjoy their job. I apologize as I forgot a few of the other drivers, but shout-out to Yusuf! 👍🏻
Excellent coverage of both sides of the Capetown spectrum- both scenic and social. Shiraz was a very interesting and knowledgeable guide. Unfortunate Table Mountain was under cloud, and parts of the museum closed, however still enjoyed the tour.
Fantastic experience with Sharaaz today. We saw Table top mountain and so many wonderful sites in just a half day. He had so much interesting facts about Cape Town and the surrounding areas. He was polite and set the tour at our pace. We loved our day in Cape Town.
I booked a half day tour of Cape Town through the Sky Hotel where I stayed. The tour was advertised for under $100 USD. However I was charged $434 USD. When I called and emailed to inquire I was told I had a private tour and the company would not refund any of my payment. I never asked for a private tour nor was I informed that no other tour was available that afternoon. This is fraudulent and unethical and I would avoid doing business with African Eagle.
Can totally recommend this tour A great experience with our Awesome guide Eddie who went out if his way to make sure that we took in all the sights of wonderful Cape Town Eddie was so informative of all the culture and history of this amazing city and went out of his way to make it a most enjoyable day
It’s a very informative and relaxed tour. Guide happy to take photos for me and also able to provide a lot of informstion
We were picked up a bit about 45mins late after several attempts to contact the Tour support to no avail. It took the hotel supervisor to call the Tour operator who then squeeze us into another Tour. The driver that turned on said he was just told about us some 20mins earlier at about 2.00pm. Obviously after the call from the hotel supervisor. This is a Tour I booked at 8.00am in the morning. Tour guy was very nice , made sure we went to all the places we were supposed to go, even visited the Table mountain and was able to take picture there and at Bo-Kaap
I was picked up on time and the tour covered everything as described. It is a nice way to see the highlights of Cape Town with only a half day.
We had Moses as our tour guide, who was professional, courteous and informative. He was extremely knowledgeable about the city and showed us all of the main sites, including a tour of the Diamond Works (with champagne) and the castle. He also kept an eye on the queue lines at the cable car (via an App), so when we arrived there we had less than a 5 minute wait at both ends. We never felt rushed and were allowed to linger wherever we wanted to.
Raegan was brilliant from African Eagle, very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. He gave us various tours across our first three days in Cape Town. Table Mountain, City Tour, Peninsula, and the wine region including Stellabosche. Always on time, happy to help and advise. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe, reliable, knowledgable and friendly tour guide in South Africa! Thank you Raegan!
Warning. Don't bother with these guys. We booked a tour for 8.AM. They called the night before at 8PM to cancel as they didn't have enough people. We committed to them and planned our day around the tour. To cancel and not meet their obligation at such short notice is pretty poor. They also knew we were taking 2 young ones with us. Poor poor poor.
The tour was full of many stops, including Signal Hill, which ad incredible views of the city below. Table Mountain was closed due to weather, although I would not have taken the cable car ride due to fear of heights. It was a small tour- only 7 of us total. the other six were all from Italy and very nice people. The Tour Guide was very informative and engaged with everyone on board. The only stop I wish we did not make was the first one at the Diamond location; felt like a Tourist trap to get people to purchase something, which no one did. It was well worth the booking.
Firstly, the guide was extremely late to pick us up. When he did showed up, he was driving up the hill very fast which made us uncomfortable. Then there was a lady in the bus that was coughing uncontrollable without a mask. To avoid getting sick, we asked to be let off the tour within 45 mins of it starting.
Yan (pronounced Jon) was an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about CapeTown and its history, friendly, obliged us by stopping for a much needed late lunch and took photos for us. We covered all the sites. Highly recommend this half day intro to Cape Town.
Great tour and guide. He was very personable and a good driver. Great intro to the city!!I was the only one for the time period so I got a personalized tour!
The tour was very interesting. I didn't care for the Diamond Institute stop and wished that we would have spent more time at places like the Waterfront, instead of the Institute. None of the passengers in my group were the least interested. Maxwell, our guide, did his best to tell us about the City and each stop. The visit to Table Mountain was perfect. We arrived at 4:30 pm and there were no crowds. Easy in and easy out.
The tour was excellent and our tour guide, Eduard was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The tour took in Table Mountain, the Company Gardens, the museum, the Cape Malay houses and Maidens Bay. I would highly recommend the tour as a great way to see Cape Town of you are short on time.
Moises was great, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It was a good whistle stop tour covering the main areas of Cape Town and Table Mountain. I think you need to stress that a stop at Table Mountain is included as all it says is cable car ticket not included. Didn’t have time for Camps Bay but didn’t mind.
Amazing tour guide and pace adapted to suit group. Really informative tour and showcased beautiful Car Town
We picked up 5 other vacationers and we all got along and had a Blast!!! We all enjoyed our experience on Table Top Mountain..it was an Amazing experience for all and our tour guide Maxwell helped to make it possible..
Our guide and driver provided us with an excellent tour of Cape Town and were most accommodating in stopping to allow us to take photos as well as in answering our questions.
Leticia took us on an amazing tour of Cape Town. She was well informed, so pleasant to be around and made the experience so wonderful. This was part The Glorious Cape Tours. I would recommend this to others and go again myself. I loved it.
Excellent tour. The guide is very knowledgeable took extra time to show us the city. On time pickup.
The tour guide was punctual, friendly and informative but for the tour wasn't so good for the price. I would recommend the hop on hop off bus instead that is much cheaper and takes you many more places.
This tour should be avoided at all costs. We were badly advised. It was supposed to be a half day tour. Our guide picked us up at 0810. It then took 45 minutes to pick everyone else up only to discover that half of us spoke French and half wanted to go to a museum instead of Table Mountain. There isn’t actually a huge amount to view in the city itself. We enjoyed the brightly coloured houses of the Cape Malay Bo-Kaap district but were only given 5 minutes to absorb it all which wasn’t even time for a coffee. The outside of Castle of Good Hope is not exactly going to set the world on fire and there is nothing really to see in District Six, which was declared a whites only area and bulldozed in 1966. Our guide then took us up to Table Mountain at 1130 where we had to queue for one and a half hours for the cable car. The views from the top were stunning as expected but it was simply crawling with tourists (obviously including us). By the time we returned to the lower cable station our guide had had to go (it was a half day tour) leaving us to make our own way back to the city. Difficult to escape the view that we had gone at the wrong time of day and that our guide must have known this. Much better, I suspect, would have been to take the first cable car up to Table Mountain at 0800 (most Tripadvisor reviewers recommend this) and then see Capetown itself at leisure by the hop on hop off City Tour bus.

Great tour and Ivan, the tour guide was super helpful and informative. Cape Town is gorgeous! Give yourself enough time to see it in all of its beautiful variations.

The weather was rainy and very cloudy. Thus, we were not able to see the panoramic view of Cape Town from the hill tops. The tour seemed a bit rushed. This may have been due to the weather conditions. We did a tour of the bright colored houses in the Malay Quarter but our guide didn't go with us. On another tour, the Freedom Walk Tour, we visited the same area, The guide escorted us and gave us detailed explanations about the buildings and the history.

La visite du centre-ville du Cap l'après midi est très rapide. Si vous avez fait les autres visites principales du Cap, vous pourriez compléter avec celle là. C'était le cas pour nous. Le guide était sympathique et très professionnel.
This half-day tour operated by African Eagle Day Tours is not recommended. Instead of a city tour with photo stops we saw a well "wannabe diamond grinding", an African museum (totally superfluous, were out in 10min.) with over an hour stay and the only beautiful, the colorful houses of BoKaap. It was hardly possible to photograph anything and you didn't know anything. The driver just wanted to finish quickly and left out the stops at the sights as a precaution.
This tour in half a day is great, they take you to the southernmost point of the African continent, to see the African penguins, and the basic city very good
