Brilliant trip to do a full day sightseeing. Our guide Qiyahm was really knowledgeable and super friendly. Would highly recommend this trip with Cullinan. Blincow family

Qiyahn Williams was our tour guide and bless him for trying to show us Cape Town in the pouring rain. My mother didn’t get out of the car and yet we still saw so much. He was charming and had a plethora of knowledge to share. We almost cancelled the trip because of the weather but so happy we stuck it out! He was gracious and interesting all day🙌
A bit rushed at each stop. At Cape Point barely had time to go up funicular and come back down. Yet at the end in Cape Town they had us wait half hour for a smaller bus to come do the hotel drop offs, even though we were an 8 minute walk away. Finally the big bus was forced to drop us off, which they should have done anyway. At least the bus was roomy and we made a stop at Chapman’s peak.
Very nice tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great time. Especially loved the penguins!
It was ok. The drive the locations where beautiful. Perfect day. Chill guide great energy. On time I appreciate being on time. Upon pre booking for penguins which is an add on you can choose when booking I still had wait because the company didn’t pre purchase my voucher which they should have. Everyone doesn’t like long lines or waiting so we pay for premium service to avoid wasting time. The line took 15 mins while others who guide did pre purchase just walked on in. Which is the service I paid for as well. So for future ref if a person pre booked and pays in advance don’t make them wait in line with people who did not pre plan!
Excellent tour. Guide was extremely knowledgeable. The tour encompassed many great sights. Would highly recommend to others.
Cornelia was superb. She drove, she picked up the participants at 6 locations (without GPS). She provided information and history and cultural commentary. And she was fun.
This is a mixed review, our driver/guide was very friendly and full of information and the cape and the penguins were also great. However, we did not get the cake and tea, we did not stop at the Rhodes memorial, and we did not stop at the Botanical Gardens. All three of these thing were not only in the description but in the video. The gardens are the main picture and one of the reasons I booked. They decided to give me a ten dollar refund which doesn't cover a fourth of the expenses I know have to spend to visit the Rhodes and Botanical Gardens on my own time.
Amazing staff who was particular about getting us everywhere and on time. This is despite all the challenges with the virus overall
We enjoyed the hike by the lighthouse, the lunch spot and exploring the beautiful coastal town, and seeing the penguins. We also enjoyed having time to DIY explore the gardens. We wished we could get closer to the penguins since we had seen pictures of other tours that were on the beach with them. Overall, we would recommend this tour for all ages!
Very comfortable coach from the "hop on hop off" company. A very scenic drive and splendid comentry by "Mark" - our second tour with him. We also took a two day ticket with this company for the open top buses which we felt were excellent value.
Tour was OK but very rushed. Wasn't offered boat trip to seal island or walk about Hout Bay. Had lunch in Simon's Town which was very good but again no time to see the town or walk about. Chapman's peak drive was fine but very rushed. It really was just a drive around. While it was OK and I can say yes I have been around the Cape Peninsula it really was not worth the money. Much better hiring a car or maybe use some other tour company.
Excellent trip .. worth taking .. our Guide was great .. full of knowledge .. small group makes it more personal
Perfect day visiting Cape Town area. Highly recommended. Great guide. Comfortable couch and very rich information about area.
The tour was exactly as described and, although packed, I didn’t feel rush at all during the stops. The tour company was very accommodating of my requests (had to change the date of the tour a couple of times due to unforeseen circumstances) and promptly answered all my questions. I was travelling alone and did a lot of research before picking the tour company for my day trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We were a group of 10 in a comfortable mini van so it was easy to keep on time and beat the crowds. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
Very friendly and involved guided tour. Many explanations and fun facts you wouldn't hear or read without that tour. Our guide, Carola was very, very friendly and open and radiated lots of joy. Thank you!
There is nothing particularly wrong with this tour—except being told there was no time to drive through Muizenberg—but compared to other tours, it was not very special.
Our tourguide Norman would probably be the nicest guy in Cape Town. You could ask him anything about Cape Town. His knowledge was a great pro on this tour. He accords to our needs. The tour itself was wonderful! Only 'negative' thing was the botanical garden. The garden itself was beautiful, but as it was beginnig of summer here, the flowers were not in bloom, so there was not much to see at the flower points. Learned a lot about Cape Town and South-Africa in general. Totally recommendable!
Our guide and driver "Super" was great, very knowledgeable and professional. The tour is very packed, so it can feel quite rushed but great if you have limited time to spend to cape town.
This trip is a must do when visiting Cape Town. It is a full day excursion, but, it is well worth spending a day booking it. A beautiful drive along the coastline, stopping off along the way for photos, interesting landscapes along the way to see, finally entering the Park, you stop at the Cape of Good Hope where you have the best photo op by the sign to show you were at the most southerly point in South Africa. Then to the top of the mountain on the vehicular to see the lighthouse, more photo ops from there. Then a stop at The Boulders to see the little penguins on the beach, and, pretty close up views of them for pictures. Lots of local artisans selling their goods at this stop, musicians, dancers, etc., are also there. Very picturesque, and, interesting day, for sure. A MUST DO FOR SURE!
Recommended tour with your agency in Cape Town. Communicative guide (Mr Ashley), very good route chosen.
Our Guide/Driver Ashley was amazing with very good insight. The scenic beauty of this trip is awesome. Make sure you take the boat ride for Seals (additional), it is really worth to see the Seal family up close.
Thank you to Wilson for the fun and very informative tour! He's a very kind and considerate guide! We made it to all the stops and enjoyed our time.
This tour allowed us to see numerous, amazing sites. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. We got enough time at each location without feeling rushed.
We booked this tour for a Friday. Ashley showed promptly at 8AM, picked up the other four passengers (total of 6). Ashley was well-read and provided useful historical information about all the described tour sites. He was extremely hospitable. All-in-all a good tour. I would recommend. Ashley has a good voice, safe driver and shares information without being too talkative. He strikes the right balance.
We had a good experience visiting the Cape and most of the main attractions. Our guide Norman was knowledgeable and friendly, and open to have good conversations. Some of other tour companions were also friendly, which made the tour a good one.
Thanks to Salome(Sally) we had a wonderful day tour. Her knowledge about the area and of course her country was amazing. She did a very good job to guide this tour. Thanks again Sally kind regards Werner(Sean) and Michel.
Great day! Weather was perfect and we saw so much ~ not a wasted minute. Loved the penguins and the fur seals but then wildlife is my passion. Lunch at the restaurant in the picturesque town (I forget the name) was delicious.
Ashraaf our guide showed us the entire Cape Peninsula and the wonders of Cape Town. Everything was perfectly planned and adjusted thanks to professional guide and driver. If you choose a trip with Ashraaf, I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied!
The tour was prompt and collected us from our hotel on time. Our guide was Eileen who was an older lady and chatty. The tour took in some spectacular scenery and we visited some amazing sights. The minibus was ok to each place but Eileen seemed to talk about all the golf courses nearby (and no golfers on the bus), house prices (High Class and lower class etc?!) and the terrible habits of various drivers on the road (and she admitted she didn't drive) it was quite irritating but teens thought it was very funny. We could have done with much more actual information on the history as it was their first trip to SA and more stories behind the sights we saw. However, it is so spectacular that it was easy to ignore the remarks about car users and moaning! it was definitely value for money as to see so much in one day would have been hard to organise. We met some great couples on the trip from all over the world. The lunch stop was great and delicious food. Boulders Bay was quite crowded but with patience we got to the beachfront to take zillions of penguin pics. Cape Point Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens were included in the fee but Boulders Bay Penguins were extra - but not expensive. Cape point includes a steep walk up the hill - and we had Grandpa at 84 with us - so we found a shuttle bus service to the top which was worth waiting for (against our guides opinion) and it was not expensive and so worth the trip to the top. The Botanical gardens on the way back was a quick stop and we were ment to be going round with Eileen in a contained, orderly group - however the whole group escaped as we wanted to get a cup of tea and then explore (its not so big you can get that lost!) and we wondered about on our own for 20 mins.. the teenagers had been caged in the minibus a long time and this was the first big open space - theres a tree top walk way that looks over the whole of Cape Town.. and as it was late afternoon the sun was going down -it was lots of fun. (And the Mandela flower was out which was a bonus).
I wouldn't say it it is worth goingto if you are far from the place. We stopped to watch the penguisn, that was really nice.
If you want to enjoy the beautiful South African coastline with expert and interesting information all along the way, do sign up for this tour. The day was long but really terrific. Highly recommended.
First and foremost, Ashley our guide is an excellent guide. He knows Cape Town like the back of his hand. He is informative, funny and he can sing too! Overall experience 10 stars. I would recommend!!!
The views are simply breathtaking. The stops like at Boulders can be rather short; so be mindful of the time of departures of the tour. Have a good conversation with the guide to get cool tips, making the tour unique and full of surprises
Lots of love for this place it amazing place . Already missing my lovely Cape Town tour i got alot of picture to share with friend that need to be here.
We did this tour with the Thomson guy name Andrea, she made the trip. We had two other trips with Thompson and we’re not impressed at all. Not sure we would use them again, but they were certainly decent for this trip. We would’ve liked to of stopped at more of the small towns, so we would recommend a private tour if possible. Lessons learned on this one. The entire drive is beautiful. Thank you Andrea.
First know it is a long tour day. You will see a lot in one day from Chapmans peak, boulders bay, cape point to the botanical gardens. The view from Chapmans peak is lovely. The boat ride to seal island is not so much to see the seals because they are there in the harbor anyway, it's the scenery that is beautiful. So if the weather is half decent take the boat ride and enjoy (warning it will be several degrees cooler on the water so a jacket might be nice to have along). We had Elaine as a guide and she was great. The first stop at the store wasn't too necessary but everything else was great. The penguins are adorable. We really enjoyed seeing them. The stops at Cape point and the light house are must do tourist stops. They are pretty but at the light house watch out for the baboons. We saw a lot of them and they are not nice or cute. They will steal your stuff, we saw one steal a soda from a woman's hand, rather aggressive buggers. So be warned about them if your guide doesn't mention them. The botanical garden was nice but probably would be prettier in the spring when more is flowering but it was still a nice stop. Overall the tour was well run, we saw a lot in one day but never felt hurried or stressed. My only ding on the entire thing was with Springbok's office- answer emails about pickup times! I sent in 2 emails asking to confirm the pickup time with NO REPLY to either. We had to assume it was 8:30 pickup but they came at 7:52 and we were not ready. They had to go pick someone else up and come back for us at 8:10 which meant we had to rush and skip breakfast. Not cool. The office needs to answer emails and give people the actual pickup time. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating.
First, our Tours by Locals guide, Iggy Potgeiter, was best ever. Tour ran 9am to 4pm. His car with just my wife and me. Super knowledgeable, witty, perfect English, considerate of limitations. Windy local conditions necessitated itinerary revisions, but he managed to fit in all our site goals. Iggy is certified to guide throughout South Africa and we'd give him highest recommendations regardless of your SA destinations. Truly amazing sites and day. The Cape Peninsula is breath-takingly beautiful. Do not miss this area if in Capetown ... and hire Iggy as guide if available!

A MUST tour when in Cape Town...You get to see all the best sights with a guide that knows the ins and outs of each place which can be difficult to park on your own. The guide we had was amazing in general. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and we learned SOOOOO much!!!

This tour covers all the important places to see in the peninsula. It was a very good experience. The only thing I would improve is the knowledge and the guide which was ver basic.

This tour is a 'must do'. The guide was excellent and gave a knowledgeable commentary throughout. The pace of the tour was just right with sensible breaks during the day. The scenery was spectacular along the coastal route to the Cape of Good Hope and then back to the gardens in Cape Town. A small group of 7 people was perfect. I will visit Cape Town again.....I just love this place.

You can see a lot in one day. It is a bit touristic and commercial but not pushy at all. Boat trip to see seals, enough time at cape of good hope and cape point. Decent lunch and nice tour to the penguins ending at Kirstenbosch botanical garden. I enjoyed the tour but you need to be prepared that you will sit a long time in the van - I was prepared. I want to recommend this to all single traveller and people that are not willing to rent a car. Group was also nice.

Everything went well. The vehicle could have had better/bigger windows, as it was not always easy to see everything. We were unfortunate that the funicular was not working that day at Cape point - but not the fault of the tour operator. We chose not to go to Seal Island. The harbour area where we had to hang around and wait was not very nice - little by way of shops and cafes. Our guide was unable to suggest anything else for us to do. As this was an optional excursion, it would have been nice if non participants had been better catered for.

We didn’t think it’d be possible to see so much in such a short time. The trip is very well organized, flexible (optional parts, time to spend on your own if desired) and the guide (Ashley in our case) is extremeley knowledgable, entertaining, kind and helpful. Definitely recommended!
We had limited time in Cape Town and therfore this tour allowed us to see lots of the island in a day. Far more than we would of done alone. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and made it fun. Boulders bay was fabulous but so many people in such a small space. We visited. Cape point. Cape of good hope. Seal island. Boulders bay. And many more places. A great day out.

Covers a lot of ground starting with panoramic photo stops followed by a boat trip to an island of seals and visits to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point where there's just about time to walk to an upper light house scheduled and a lower one not mentioned if you're a brisk walker and skip lunch. Stops as a penguin colony and finished at the botanic gardens. Guide keeps things interesting, has a history of SA to tell and leaves people to explore the various locations at their own pace. Only reason for not awarding 5 stars is that the boat trip and the penguin area aren't included and anyone who doesn't pay the extra less than R200 collectively will be standing around for 90 to 120 minutes with nothing to do.

We had an excellent time with Jacques during one of the busiest times of the year. It seems that everybody decided to tour the peninsula on the same day. We were picked up on time in the morning and proceeded to start our tour (13 participants + guide + driver). The guide, Jacques, was very good. He explained what we were going to do and how to make the most out of the experience. Any inquiry was met with a smile and if requested, followed up with a recommendation. There was a lot of tourist traffic at the attractions but Jacques and the driver found a way to get us our experience in the Cape without any hick-ups. Our Highlight - Cape Point.
The peninsula full day tour was excellent. We got the opportunity to see the penguins, seals and baboons. It is was definitely worth the money. One of the highlights of my vacation. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made every effort to make all tourist comfortable

This tour is really good , everything was as per description . The guide , vehicle , timings everything was perfect and gave us the best value for money tour for cape peninsula.

I booked this tour on one of my last days in Cape Town and have no regrets. Sylvester was our guide that day and was very attentive, knowledgeable and fun. He made sure everyone had a good time and did provide as much time allowed at each stop. It was an 8hr excursion w/ a wine tour option at the end. Saw a lot and did try Snoek fish for the first time (a must while in the region!) All in all, you get to see a lot in 8hrs. I’d recommend the tour to anyone looking to see a lot.
