We had such a great time on this tour! Peter was an amazing guide with a great sense of humour, making the entire experience fun and enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and always happy to offer to take photos of us at the different stops. He also made an effort to have a quick one-on-one chat with us at the stops to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. His attention to detail was amazing, even taking the initiative to speak to the restaurant staff and make sure we were taken care of and seated for lunch, before we even got to it. It's that kind of thoughtfulness that makes a great experience even better! Truly incredible hospitality and service. We also had a great group of people, which made the day even more enjoyable. Would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Peter as your guide!

Upon arrival at Hout Bay Harbour (which is a quaint fishing village), you have the option to board a boat cruise to the Cape Fur seal colony on Duiker Island (own expense), or spend free time browsing the local curio shops at the harbour.
We then drive via Chapmans peak drive which offers the most mind blowing and breath catching views weather permitting. With sheer drops to the sea below and towering mountains rising above you. The twists and curves in the road seem endless and it is a photographers dream
“It’s amazing how the world begins to change through the eyes of a cup of coffee.” Why not stop for a cup or juice as we continue

He made people smile at a time when smiles were really needed.

I want to thank Eli for a really wonderful day. We were in Cape Town during some very rainy and crazy weather. Eli contacted us the night before the tour to arrange an earlier pick up time, explaining he planned to alter the route so we could see as much as possible despite the weather. Another couple was scheduled to join and there was a mixup (not Eli's fault!). Their ship had docked at an unexpected site. Amazingly, he managed to find them so they did not miss their tour. We arrived at the Penguin site and had the place almost to ourselves and during a lovely break in the weather. As we loaded up, the rains began and about 6 tour buses pulled up and we realized Eli knew exactly what he was doing. Thanks to his knowledge and planning we saw so much when many other tours were canceled. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local spot we would never have found ourselves.
Elie was an awesome guide during this jam packed excursion. We covered all the highlights- penguins, Cape of Good Hope, Hout Bay, seals, lighthouse. Elie took a route that avoided crowds and miraculously all the rain! Lunch at a local restaurant was so fun too. Thanks for a great day!
I did this side trip on my own. What a fun day we all had after he picked up a few other guests and our guide was a really nice guy! Was just wonderful to see the penguins and see the end of the African Continent. We were gone almost 10 hrs. Well worth doing if you're ever in Cape Town, S. Africa!!
The only positive is the fantastic scenery, really disappointed with this tour. Our driver Eli was in a hurry from the minute we boarded his bus. The driving was far too fast, he nearly backed into another vehicle when leaving a car park. The tour was conducted backwards, we saw the penguins first which meant no stop for lunch or shopping in Simonstown. The driver promised lunch in Hauts Bay. A single girl apparently asked to be dropped in Simonstown on the way back. Very surprised he dropped her on the outskirts of the town, on her own. Chapmans Peak was closed, no fault of the driver, but he appeared to skip two turnings to Haut Bay, where he had previously promised a lunch stop. Instead, we ended up back in Cape Town for lunch (2.30, late for lunch after an early start). Not ideal at all , as we can eat in Cape Town any time. We skipped lunch and the coloured houses, instead we, and others chose to continue on our own, dispite his assurance he was to return us to Haut Bay (in wrong direction) after lunch. The tour was down by 6 people before it ended…
All good, thanks ☀️ Cope of Good Hope rocks!
Angel was amazing! She took us on a full day private group tour around the Penninsula. She was so accomaditing with stopping for pictures, wanting to stay or leave earlier, and took us to fun stops. She had great recommendations for lunch and dinner later on in our trip. We had an excellent day with her and I highly suggest doing this tour.
This is a great excursion. We went to the pier to go and take the cruise to duiker island, but asked our driver if we could go feed some ostriches.....so great!! The whole tour was amazing, highly recommend it!!
We visited all the main sites described. There were 10 people on the tour and what made it special was our guide Armando. At the start he introduced everybody to create a relaxed atmosphere. He was very funny but was also very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. There were no time pressures at stops. Very chilled. The tour lasted for 9-10 hours including the pick-ups. An all round amazing experience to see all the fabulous places around the Cape. I would definitely recommend the tour and make sure you ask for Armando!!
Great trip with Angel . Her drive was very smoth around the curvy road and spectacular views of the coast and the penguins. Lunch in Cape Town and visit to Bo-Kaapp were a must.
Really enjoyable experience seeing the best of the western cape. We really enjoyed our day trip in a small group (7 total). We felt safe and not rushed at any point. Our guide Elijah was extremely friendly and welcoming. His knowledge was clear and he was happy to share a lot. He took us to a fantastic restaurant at the end of the day - though that would only be the downside of the trip was timing of the meal. We went the entire day without much of a food stop (though you could buy snacks at stalls in locations) but was expecting lunch a little earlier than 3pm. Nevertheless, a great day out and would highly recommend!
Amazing tour of the Cape of Good Hope and environs, with a great rich history of Cape Town and its peoples as a bonus. Many animals: African Penguins, Ellot, Ostrich (with babies), Baboons all almost certain to happen. My favorite part was Chapman Peak. Listen to the food recommendations!
Had the best day. Excellent tour guide. Easy to listen to, great information. Very considerate of the entire group. Route was well planned and well timed so we avoided the crowds. Highly recommend.
Fantastic day, saw even more wildlife than expected and our guide was very friendly & knowledgeable!
Whole day experience that was made enjoyable by our cheerful, caring guide. Good value for a days journey.
Overall we really enjoyed our tour. We had had a very small group so it was like a private tour. Our guide spent time explaining everything and was very knowledgeable. The only disappointment was that our tour started 1 hour late, we could have had a more leisurely morning instead of waiting in a foyer. Also you have to buy your own tickets online for the cape of good hope prior to arrival to the national park, you have to set up an account with your passport number etc. so make sure you have data.
Today Elie took our group of 6 around Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope, Bo-kap, and much more! We had a full day with gorgeous weather and an outstanding guide who gave us so much history and answered all of our questions about Cape Town as well. We enjoyed all the places we went, such a beautiful city! Thank you Elie for helping bring Cape Town to life for our group.
This is arguably the worst tour we’ve been on! The comfortable mini bus did not turn up at 8 am but a taxi driver arrived at 9:15am and said he had to pick up another couple as well! On reflection we should have refused to get in the car! My husband, myself and another lady sat in the back of the car and her partner sat in the front.I sat in the middle as my husband found it difficult to get in and out of the car ( we are both in our seventies!) It was extremely uncomfortable with three adults in the back as we did not have room to move and every time we went in and out of the car it was an extremely stressful experience to fasten the safety belts as my husband and my safety belt clicked at the same place! A few times we decided to not get out of the car as it was too much stress to buckle the seatbelts! The driver was obviously not a Tour Guide as he gave very little information about the places we visited! We were delayed for about 30 minutes at the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope National Park as we could only pay the entrance fee with one card payment for the four of us. I was assured by you that all entry fees could be paid by card and therefore we did not have cash and neither did the other couple. Luckily the taxi driver did sort out the payments! Obviously the taxi driver had not experienced this payment problem before. We booked this tour months ago and we would appreciate an explanation of what happened to the minibus and Tour Guide. Reading a review of your company, one person was taken on a tour by himself as he was the only person who booked for that day. We did not have the services you described in your advertisement and therefore feel we should be compensated!
What a fabulous day!! Great to travel in a small group to so many spectacular places, see the seals, penguins and the Cape all in a day! Our guide/driver, Barnabus was exceptional!! His knowledge and passion of not only the different locations we visited but of South Africa’s history was wonderful to listen to and was extensive. Thank you Barnabus! You made our day!
Great tour that covers the highlights of the peninsula well. Ample time at each stop, and good food options for lunch. Guide Albert was knowledge and entertaining.
We had a fabulous day with Elie. He has a great sense of humour & was very informative & entertaining. The tour itself was wonderful, with amazing scenery & we really enjoyed the stops we made. Highly recommend this tour.
Great day out! Enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was informative. Be aware there are park entry fees that are extra payments but worth it.
It was a beautiful trip! A very professional guide Armando, that told us about everything we asked. The route is very interesting including wonderful views and amazing animals. Everything was on-sport. Highly recommend.
This was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken, our guide Armando was so knowledgeable and patient with us. 10/10 experience would recommend.
Give was our guide, he was wonderful. He was on time for our pick up, his van was clean, and was very professional. He went over the tour before we got on the road. He set up lunch reservations ahead of time at a wonderful winery. The whole dat was fantastic. Thanks to Gift
Was great day out seeing various aspects of the Cape Town area, lots to see and great value. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly although he did not recommend going to Boulders beach when others said it was worth going.
Had a great day with a great guide with a great laugh, very interesting and informative tour. Arrived on time , would definitely recommend.
Mr. Elie was our tour guide for the day and he did an amazing job explaining the history of each location. He was super flexible with our desires (like eating fish & chips at 9a) and spending a bit more time at Boulders Beach. 5 out of 5 service hands down.
The tour was over sold. We were last to board. Only 1 seat available for 2. The previous group to book (6 people) had to be separated and leave the tour to accommodate us. This should have been addressed before leaving hotel where 6 boarded. Our guide made no effort to rearrange the seating, so my partner and I did not sit together. My partner was between mother and daughter that continually passed items back and forth. Food was allowed including children with dripping ice cream bars and greasy breakfast items. No eating should be allowed. Same for phone call none should be allowed. Being in the middle of a family call is disturbing. Guide didn’t address situation. When arriving at Cape of Good Hope the guide was not aware of change for fee payment. At the penguin stop we had not planned on going, but guide purchased tickets while we were at lunch so felt obligated. If you are approaching 6 ft in height. Only view is from window seats. Not much view otherwise. If you want to see the Cape of Good Hope, enjoy, reflect upon, or hike about some, find a tour that only does that. If you like a “seen that/done that” tour with many short stops, this one is for you.
Do not book this trip with Viator as the vendor did not pick us up and when contacted they wanted us to take a uber to one of the stops at our expense. They offered no other option other than a refund. We booked locally at the last minute which cost significantly more but we had no other choice as our time in Cape Town is limited and it was a considerable cost to get there. Viator’s emergency contact was no help basically we were on our own. Poor customer service!
A wonderful and scenic trip. Informative and engaging father/daughter duo as our driver and guide. While not a reflection on tour or guides, unfortunately, the funicular to the top was not functioning, nor were the credit card machines in the gift shop; so that meant no viewing and no shopping!
Our guide Jeff was basically a historian, full of interesting facts and history of the areas we visited. Enough time was spent at each location. Had a great day... thanks
Elie guided us on a fantastic day long tour of the stunning Cape peninsula. Elie is very knowledgeable and informative on a whole range of topics, a very engaging, thoughtful and delightful human being. We had a brilliant day with him.
Our guide Armando picked us up at our hotel. Super great guy. We started with a tour of BoKaap; the old slave neighbourhood with the beautifully colored homes which used to designate the trade of those inhabitants back in the slave days in S. Africa. Then on to a coffee spot for the best coffee in town. “Truth” coffee. Then we headed to Muizenberg area. Too cold to surf but a really cute beachfront community. After that we headed to the Southwestern tip of Africa: The Cape of Good Hope. It was very cold and windy but we saw Zebra, ostrich and eland on our way. Very beautiful spot! Then on to Cape Point for a while. We climbed up to the lighthouse and took a lunch break. Then after that Armando took us to the highlight of the day: Boulders Beach and to visit with the African Penguins. So many of them and they are so adorable. We spent a while there. Then we drove along the mountains past Nordhoek, Chapman’s trail and others. A little stop in Camps Bay, a south beach little community by the sea under Table Mountain. Then it was time to bid adieu to Armando and our fellow guests. It was a long and wonderful day. One I certainly won’t forget! Armando is the best guide. Book Zion Escape and Tours Travel.
We had a wonderful trip to the Cape point and the Boulders beach. Our guide Latisha was more than awesome. She was informative, engaging and interactive throughout. Shared a whole lot of details on the sights. Made it a memorable experience for us. Definitely recommend this tour.
The guide was very nice, and had a lot of information to offer. The trip was amazing. We had a lot of fun. I dont know what else to write
Fabulous! Jeff was a great host and it was wonderful to see and hear the history of all the different communities.
Great experience to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. The views are spectacular. Our guide took us to Chapman's Peak as well. The penguins were very accessible. The day went very smoothly and we were able to see what we wanted and continue on. We were on a cruise ship and made it back to the port in good time.
Great all day tour down south of Cape Town. Our guide Ellie was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. The scenery is spectacular (really no words to describe it) and the tour was nicely paced to the group’s requirements. Would recommend taking this tourZ
Had a very good experience during the trip. Driver was very friendly and give very useful information along the way. Highly recommend
Excellent tour with great guide Jeff. Only concern was that Table Mountain cable car stop was not listed in the Trip Advisor itinerary. We had actually gone up the cable car the previous afternoon. However, we decided to go on the cable car again as the weather was fairly clear and the view from the top is amazing.
I cannot recommend this trip enough. It was absolutely amazing. Armani our driver and guide was just the best. Full on day but so so worth it. Thank you so much for the memories which we will treasure forever. Don't even hesitate to book through this company.
What a trip! Jeff started us off with some history of the Cape and it all clicked once we started on the tour. We couldn’t have asked for more from Jeff and it’s safe to say it was the best day we had in Cape Town! We saw everything we wanted to see and had so much fun along the way. As the marathon was on the day of our tour it was just myself and my husband with Jeff so we weren’t rushed. Well worth booking!
I would really recommend this day trip to anyone who not only wants to see a lot but also wants to learn a lot. We had a fantastic day with the best tour guide we could have imagined! Highly recommended!!!
Our guide Marshall was the best we had in our life: full of culture, patient, mannered, gentle, super knowledgeable! He taught us a lot of things about history of the country and its nature. The tour was very good. We saw a lot of beatiful sceneries, and we totally recomend it! It will be a packed day but with the pleasure of learning and seeing so many fantastic things. Thanks again Marshall for being you!
Great tour - we wanted to see the penguins and in one day we saw the cape of good hope, the seal island. The drive around that scenic highway AND had lunch and saw the penguins! It was great. The seal boat ride and lunch and park tickets were not included. Most can be paid with credit card so have one (or cash) handy for these fees. Have fun!
Our guide Jeff was super knowledgeable and explained about 500 years of history to us while showing us the city from above! He took great pictures and knew all the best spots. Would definitely not miss this tour
Take this full day drive to Cape Point and the Penguins!! It was a great overview of these world known attractions. The stops at the seal island transport and the Chapman Drive overlook were well planned as was the coffee stop. Then onwards to Cape Point get ready for an upward hike! Finally head on to Boulder Beach, lunch and then penguins! Our guide was Marshall who had a great and friendly demeanor and made our drive fun with many stories about the Cape. Bring some cash for the Boulder Beach sanctuary tickets. Marshall got them for us while we had lunch so we were able to skip the long line and access the viewing platforms directly. (All other extras you can pay with your credit card, no worries). 40 minutes at the penguin’s passed by so fast! Enjoy them!
An amazing experience!!! I still cannot believe how many hot spots we hit in just one day and we never felt rushed. Marshall is absolutely incredible and his knowledge of the town and history in general was phenomenal. He had a smile on his face from start to finish and I feel like we gained a lifelong friend. We will definitely book again when we come back!!! Thank you
Marshall was an excellent guide. He was very candid and encouraged us to ask questions. There were only six of us, so it was easy to chat. He helped us take photos and had lots of advice. The lunch venue wasn't great as there weren't any smaller options, but apart from that it was an excellent tour.
