The guide (Albert) was educated and knowledgeable. So very friendly and funny! An excellent tour. Thanks!

Itinerary
Visitors will be picked up at their accommodation in Cape Town between 7:15 and 8:00am. Soon after pick up we will proceed on a brief drive-by city tour to gain a better understanding of the rest of the day tour. We will see historical monuments and buildings like Bartholomew Dias and the Slave Lodge in Adderley Street.
Our first stop of the day will be in the Bo-Kaap. Here we will have a brief photo opportunity with the famous colorful houses in this area also known as the Cape Malay Quarter. The colorful houses of Bo-Kaap date back to the Malaysian and Indonesian slave history and culture that forms part of South Africa's heritage.
We take a coastal drive along the scenic Atlantic Seaboard and pass through Clifton and Camp's Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove for one of the most spectacular photo opportunities of the day. Marvel at the sky-blue pristine beaches on one side and the Twelve Apostles mountain ranges on the other side.
We continue our tour along this magnificent Atlantic Seaboard coastline and pass through Llandudno, which is home to some of the most expensive residential properties in South Africa. We stop in Hout Bay Harbour, where visitors will have the option to take a boat trip to Seal (Duiker) Island to visit the seal's colony. The entire boat trip lasts 45-minutes. For those who wish to skip the boat trip, a visit to the Harbour Market for shopping or a coffee at the nearby curio shop will be available.
We enjoy a drive along Chapman's Peak drive, which is part of the top five scenic drives of the world. Chapman's peak proudly holds second place in this top five. We will stop at Chapman's Peak viewpoint for an incredible photo opportunity with vast stretches of scenic ocean views.
We proceed along the coast towards Noordhoek Farm Village, with endless stretches of pristine beaches and white sand in the distance. This is known as Noordhoek Beach and Long Beach. We make a stop at the Village Roast for the best coffee freshly brewed in Cape Town (optional).
Simons Town is the navy capital of Cape Town and Boulder's Beach is home to the African penguins. Take a walk along the boardwalk for a closer view of these enchanting sea creatures. You may even be fortunate to be greeted at the gate by one or two "Happy Feet".
Our last stop for the day will be at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. Here visitors will learn more about the Bartholomew Dias navigational beacon and the Vasco Da Gama navigational beacon. Both beacons have been crafted out of stone and painted white with a cross at the top of each one. A visit to the Cape of Good Hope is not complete without a photo behind the name board at the Cape of Good Hope.
This is the most southwestern tip in Africa and also the meeting place of two ocean currents: the cold Benguela and the warm Agulhas currents. Most of our visitors enjoy the short hike to the Cape Point Lighthouse from the Cape of Good Hope. However, should you wish to skip the short hike, you are welcome to use the Flying Dutchman Funicular to get to the top. We recommend lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant or a takeaway at the nearby eatery.
Our return route back to Cape Town will be via the Boyes Drive, passing through Fishhoek & stop at the Shark spotters View Point in Muizenberg with a drop off at your accommodation between 17:30 and 18:00pm.

I had a great experience. our guide Armando was fantastic. Very kind and personable but also deeply knowledgeable in terms of history and the sites. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
Jean Claude was an excellent tour guide. Very accommodating, patient and tailored the tour to suit the needs of my three young children. Overall we had a fantastic time and highly recommend him for a small personal tour around the Cape.
Jean Claude was a great tour guide. He was flexible with timings and very knowledgable about the history of the area. He was patient with his time and looked out for us when buying from street traders, to make sure we were getting a fair price!
Gabriel was great! Kept us informed when pick would be late ( 10 min) due to traffic. Engaging and very knowledgeable about the history of the region . Very accommodating to everyone on tour. Always smiled.
Our guide, on the morning of the tour, told us we were being given the wrong tour- a tour we had partly done the day before and asked whether we would wait in the bus 2 hours whilst other guests visited Table Mountain. We were also told that a visit to Seal Island was not possible which again according to other tour operators was not accurate. We have now booked with another operator and are waiting to be picked up. I am afraid that this company cannot be trusted.
Very well planned trip with many interesting stops. The guide was inspiring and professional, and the driver competent and friendly. Lunch was at a great seafood restaurant, and was a lovely surprise. 10 out of 10!
This was not our original event. We originally did something the day before but loved our tour guide, Ray so much that we booked with him another day. 10/10 would definitely recommend !!!’
Inclusive tour. Penguins, seals, ostriches, lighthouse and more. Pleasantly surprised and pleased with tour and Gift (guide).
This tour is great where it covers most of major attractions such as Table Mountain, Cape of good Hope, Cape Point, Bantry Bay beach, Boulder Beach penguin colonial, BoKaap neighborhood. If anyone is expected to take time for each place that won’t happen. The tour guide did time management well so he can cover these many places in a day. Well done! We’d recommend this tour!
Wilson was a very good driver and guide! Very good Tour to Cape of good hope and the penguins. Good car.
We highly recommend this your! It helped us see most of Cape Town’s top highlights in just one day, and our guide Ray was an absolute joy to spend the day with. Ray was extremely personable, answered all our Cape Town questions, and made sure we got the most out of this tour. If I only had one day to spend exploring Cape Town, I would take this tour.
Both the driver and the guide were so friendly and humane. The scenery/nature was wonderful and the size of the group was nice and small. Very good experience.
Had a very beautiful experience, such an informative trip. Armando is exactly what people talk about when speaking of Ubuntu. We Loved every minute of the Tour Nandipha + Yolanda
Ray was very informative and insightful. The views were breathtaking and we took loads of photos. Will highly recommended this day trip.
The pickup process was very unorganized and took far to long to collect everybody over 1 and half hours from first to last pickup. We decided not to do the whole trip as it was going to take 9+hours .Sylvia the tour guide was very helpful and arranged for a taxi to take us back to our hotel
A fantastic way to see cape of good hope and cape point with plenty of beautiful stops along the way.
I’ll start by saying that the guides Zaine and Nathan were excellent, they are the only reason this review score wasn’t lower. However the management for this tour was really bad. For some reason they told us to be ready at 7:30 but they only picked us up at 8:30. In the meantime while I messaged for updates, they only said the bus would arrive shortly (it arrived 30 minutes after that point). When they finally arrived, of course we were the last ones on board so were stuffed in the very back where there wasn’t even a clear window view and it was super stuffy. Lastly, this is NOT a small group. It’s medium at best. It’s not a personal experience as I was expecting, it’s a minibus that stuffs you in with 19 other people. The guides were good and the itinerary was great, but these to us did not make up for the fact that they made us wait for an hour and we were uncomfortably stuffed to the back of the van for the entire day.
Fantastic trip, loved seeing the penguins and the boat ride to Seal Island was amazing. Mr President and Encoch were brilliant guides. They gave us lots information throughout the day. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Gordon our tour guide made this tour a most memorable one. He was warm, friendly, very knowledgeable about literally every topic on Cape Town. None in our group felt rushed when we had stops for restroom breaks, souvenir shopping or lunch. August weather was brisk and windy so bring a hat/jacket. Cape of good hope was magnificent and we enjoyed it all. There were ostriches, monkeys, along the way as we drove. My mother Beverley and I thank you Gordon for an amazing day with our group. And thank you for being gracious when we got you off to a late start. Kay
Gordon and Big D, our guide and bus driver were very nice but TOO NICE because they allowed people to be 30 minutes late and it happened more than once. The tour advertised Cape of Good Hope and Penguins but due to running so late, we only had 15 minutes at the Penguins which was VERY disappointing. Our last stop was at Tabletop Mountain that was not on the agenda and my husband and I had already visited on a different day. They stayed for a 1 1/2 hrs which I stayed on the bus since I was recovering from food poisoning and my husband had to miss the tour due to being sick. My hotel was only 10-15 minutes away but they did not offer to take me there. I found the trip very frustrating due to having to wait for the “rude” people at almost every stop which the guide should have established “rules” at the beginning of the tour - not there by a certain time, leave them behind.
Trip was amazing, made even better by our tour guide Ray.He was very knowledgeable and a great guy to show my family and I all the wonderful sites along the way.I would highly recommend this tour for anybody visiting Cape Town.
Polite and professional Ray guided us to Cape of Good Hope among other interesting sights. Additionally we saw antilopes, penguins and ostriches in nature park area. I loved this trip!
Incredible fantastic tour, how to see the key Cape Town landmarks in a day !!! Our guide Ray was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend for family tour.
This was a great day tour, our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The drive around the coast was amazing, well worth it. The only hitch was when we arrived at the Cape, it was very busy with not enough time to buy lunch
We had a fantastic trip - Luc was helpful and willing to answer any questions. He gave us lots of information throughout and went out of his way to make sure we got to see Bo Kaap which the traffic had prevented early in the morning. Great places to stop and see.
It was a beautiful blue sky and cool weather day. We went to the Cape of Good Hope and to see the African Penguins at Boulder Beach. Another fun thing we did was to stop at some local places along the way for coffee and a little shopping. It was great to get into a community and buy some local goods. Our tour representative, Mr. Ray, was very knowledgeable about South African history and shared many personal anecdotes relating to his life growing up in South Africa. We never felt rushed and he always communicated how much time we had at a certain stop. Mr. Ray was very aware of our needs, making sure we were comfortable, and he was even curious about our own experiences living in the US, Vietnam and the Philippines. I've been on many tours around the world but I'd have to say this one is in my top 5. Mr. Ray really made the tour a memorable and enjoyable experience. I would rate him and the tour higher than 5 stars if I could.
Ray did a fantastic job showing us around the Cape of Good Hope. He was kind, accommodating, and highly knowledgeable. Ray knew exactly how long to spend at each spot to maximize how many things to see in a day, but also to enjoy the site. Whilst driving through the Cape, he provided invaluable information on South African history, as well as current events. He was also very adaptive for our group, able to switch up the route when Chapman's Peak was closed, bringing us down an equally scenic route. If you want to get the most of your Cape Point tour, you must book with Ray! His tour included many stops not included on other tours or the Red Bus. I have actually been on this tour three times now and Ray is by far the best guide I've had. Most importantly, Ray is a wonderful person and a pleasure to get to spend the day alongside.
Its really a beautiful place to see penguins 🐧 in their natural habitat. The weather in August was amazing and we had a lovely time.
you can’t have a better guide then Ray. Every wish, every fotostop is possible Warm hearted, educated and entertaining You will enjoy the day with him
This is a well organised, comprehensive and enjoyable tour. Our driver and guide Ahmed provided great information throughout the day, and gave us plenty of time to explore Cape Point etc. Not having to directly purchase the tickets for the Penguin Colony was a time saver also.
it was a really amazing and ordinary experience! We had a very lovely and cute driver (Kembo), who we would recommend everyone!!! We had so many interesting conversations with him and he really adjust the tour to our interests. During the drive to cape if good hope we saw a lot of bamboons and ostriches, which was really cool too! The puinguins at the boulders beach were cute and clumsy ☺️
Really enjoyable tour! James was a knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining tour guide. Would highly recommend this.
Jason is an asset to the company; driving excellently, pointing and allowing us to enjoy interesting places and activities while giving clear historical facts, seemingly always knowing where everyone is at and never forgot to emphasize time lines…how long a certain activity will take, when to arrive and when we’re supposed to meet back. This trip is recommendable for everyone!
What an amazing trip! Reagan was a great tour guide giving us insightful information throughout on the history of many places throughout Cape Town. So many good stops on this tour, with Cape Point being my favorite - just breathtaking views! The shuttle was comfortable and there were plenty of stops along the way. Lunch was great and there's plenty authentic South African food you can try like game meat there. Overall an amazing trip and covered a lot of great spots in Cape Town. Highly recommend it and recommend Reagan as a tour guide!
We really enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide was Ray, and he was so knowledgeable about everywhere we visited. We learned so much while seeing incredible sights. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
Our tour guide Ray was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, friendly but remained professional..made us all feel very comfortable and we had a very educational plus fun time
Absolutely amazing, we were only three ladies on the trip. Our guide Lucadel took perfect care of us and helped with individual wishes. He answered all questions about South African Life Style, history and wildlife. Additionally he is fluent is in French.
We booked this tour as it’s a shared tour. We were picked up by our hotel by our Guide Ray. We were 8 in total in the mini bus. It’s a full day full of so much to see and do. Our Guide Ray made this tour even more enjoyable, his very knowledgeable about the history of South Africa. He took us to Noordhoek village for coffee stop. Best coffee we had in a very Long time. He made a reservation for us for lunch in Simons Town. Good fresh Fish, if you like sea food. Penguins was one of our favourite animals to see. We saw lots of other animals as too. There’s entry fee at Penguins and Cape of Good Hope. You can pay with your credit card. Thank you Ray for giving us a wonderful tour. We made new friends from different countries. We highly recommend this tour!!!
We booked a full day Cape Of Good Hope, Penguins from Cape Town. Our Tour Guide made this tour remarkable to not miss anything. We saw, seals, penguins, ostriches and the Baboons too. We had lunch at Saveur a restaurant in Simons town. Highly recommend. We learnt a lot about the history and culture about South Africa. Thank you so such a wonderful experience
Went solo but there was another woman on the trip. Our guide was very safe and accommodating. Amazing views and knowledge of the local towns.
Ray is an excellent guide. He is great company and has a lot of knowledge about the western cape and it’s history. We were a bit scared, that the trip had to many stops around and would be to compact, but that was not the case at all - we wanted to go for a swim at boulders bay, and he planned the trip, so that would be possible and in general it’s a conversation with him and the group how the days gonna go. Many beautiful sights on the way, amazing view points and stunning to see the penguins at boulders. Definitely recommend spending a day on this!
We had a great day with Ray, who was an amazing guide! Ray was flexible with our plans, very knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour and was great fun to be with. We really appreciated his guidance and would thoroughly recommend the tour.
Ray was amazing. He was kind, knowledgable, informative, flexible- a fantastic tour guide and I'd recommend him to anyone!
The experience was amazing. Ray a pleasant friendly guide with a lot of knowledge of the history of the places we visited and very patient to make a lot of stops for pictures and to show us even things that were not in the itinerary. I absolutely recommend this tour to every visitor, you will get a see so much during a full day and its excellent value for your money.
Ray did a great job. We had a wonderful time. Great views in a world of natural beauty. I would highly recommend the tour.
It was excellent. However remey that what you are paying for is only Transpotation. There are entrance fees and there is really no point to this trip if you do not pay them. Our driver Enesu had all that figured out ahead of time to expedite the entire process. It’s roughly 30 US for entrance fees in addition to whatever you paid for the original trip. We still considered it a great value. We covered a lot of ground, saw the major sights and Enesu did an excellent job of explaining history and culture.
It was an amazing tour of Cape Town, we got to explore so much of Cape Town within a few hours with a very informed tour guide. It really is worth going for
I had an awesome time on this tour. Our guide, Jean, was professional and knowledgeable about the history and area that we toured. He went out of his way to make sure that we saw Zebra, Elk, Emu, and Baboons!
Amazing tour with john, we really enjoyed as we did not feel rushed. The views were captivating and our driver was full of knowledge and was constantly feeding us with facts and stories. Worth the price we paid for, our guide made us feel comfortable. We had lunch at a wonderful hotel by the ocean. Always good to carry snacks as there can be a little bit of delay in lunch times as the tour guide tries its best to accomodate everyones expectations.
