We did the wine lands and the Cape of Good Hope tours on two separate full days. Our guide Mo was excellent and full of interesting information. I would highly recommend these trips with a private guide.

Itinerary
Clifton is the heart of Cape Town’s beach scene, pulsating with the energy of the bronzed and beautiful. It’s a place to see and be seen, with itsy-bitsy bikinis, g-strings and designer sunglasses the order of the day. While topless tanning is not frowned upon, total nudity is best saved for Sandy Bay. Just offshore, a few yachts lying at anchor in the clear blue waters add to the exotic flavour. Clifton’s four dazzlingly white beaches, separated by outcrops of granite rock, are the most sheltered in Cape Town. This means that Clifton can generally be relied upon for perfect conditions in summer, even when the wind chases people off other beaches. Temperatures can soar on the back beach, but down near the water’s edge the icy sea has a welcome cooling effect. Here, on the hard, wet sand, more active types work up a sweat with beach bats and frisbees, periodically taking a refreshing dunk in the shallows. Others prefer a quick shower to cool off when roasting in the sun gets uncomfortably hot. Vendors ply the beaches selling snacks and drinks, so it is possible to spend a few hours on the beach without wandering far. Each of the four beaches has its own special character. 1st Beach, where many of the locals and old-timers go, is the least crowded, but lacks the cosy atmosphere of the other beaches as it is overlooked by exclusive beachfront apartments. 2nd Beach is considered the place to go for a few hours in the sun without too much hype, while 3rd Beach is a popular rendezvous spot for gay men. Finally, 4th Beach is usually packed with trendy people but is also frequented by family groups, being closest to ablution facilities and parking areas. Clifton 4th Beach is a blue flag beach and one of South Africa's most popular and sought-after beaches. Visited by stars and the famous, 4th beach at Clifton is the in-scene. One of a series of small coves, 4th beach is on the Atlantic Ocean side of Cape Town. Be warned, the water is always icy-cold. Various environmental programmes, including interpretive signage and lifesaving training will be implemented on the beach.
Wherever you have chosen to stay in Cape Town, this popular beach is a must see. Camps Bay Beach is the camp ground of sun tanners and sundowners capturing a clear ocean between Lions Head and Table Mountain. Cafes, bars and restaurants stand mountain side of the beach drive while sand, palm trees and gleaming water falls ocean side. A cosmopolitan lifestyle of see and be seen fashionistas meets a beach town dream-style of sea and be scene.
The penguins are visited by thousands of tourists throughout the year. These cute seabirds, named as the Jackass Penguins because they bray like donkeys is one of the main attractions for young and old.
There is an opportunity to see baboons, antelopes, ostriches by the seaside, special flora (about 8600 species of fynbos vegetation), Cape of Good Hope name-board where you can have your photo taken, as well as take a funicular or walk up to the lighthouse at Cape Point.
Initially constructed during the First World War, this 9km route with its 114 curves, skirts Chapman's Peak, the 593m high southerly extension of Constantia Berg, and follows the rocky coastline to unfold breathtaking views in both directions. The route starts at the picturesque fishing harbour of Hout Bay and the climb winds steeply up to Chapman's Point, revealing breathtaking views of the sandy bays down below, until the road reaches lower levels again at Noordhoek. Chapman’s Peak and the surrounding areas offer local and foreign visitors a myriad of things to do. It forms the gateway between Cape Town and the South Peninsula.

Excellent introductory tour covering main highlights on the Peninsula. Very informative guide who was very pleasant and knowledgeable
There was so much we wanted to see and do in Cape Town and so little time as we had spent the first of our 2 days on Safari. Choosing Mo to show us around the Cape meant we managed to fit in so much in such a short time, we would not have managed any other way. So knowledgeable and friendly probably the best tour we had on all of our world cruise. Would not hesitate to contact again if we manage to return.
Mogamat was an excellent guide and driver. He gave 110% in making sure that I had a great day. We went to several markets and Table Mountain, the wine country, a whale coast tour, and a special trip to de Hoop to see whales since my boat trip in Hermanus was cancelled. I learned a lot and enjoyed his company!
We had a most serendipitous day in Cape Town! Our cruise line had canceled our Stellenbosch tour but failed to notify us. While trying to straighten this out we missed the only other tour to the winelands. How fortunate for us! At the pier we fell into the very capable hands of Mogamat Toffar who customized a perfect tour of Stellenbosch and Franschoek, including shopping, a stunning lunch at Delaire Graff, more wine tasting at Haute Cabriere and lots of sightseeing and excellent, well-informed conversation in between. Mo’s deep personal history with Cape Town and South Africa, his mature insights and knowledge and his ease of conversation made him the perfect guide for us. He steered us to the best and we asked him to join us for lunch so we could continue our talks about current culture and society while reflecting on history. Our day with Mo was a highlight of our 8 week trip. Very highly recommended.
We had a fantastic time touring Cape Town, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Our family had a memorable time in South Africa because we had an excellent and fantastic tour guide, Mr Mogamat Toffa. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights and first-hand experience about the history, culture, and landmarks we visited. What stood out the most was his flexibility—he adapted our itinerary seamlessly to fit our schedule and preferences, ensuring we got the most out of our time. Mr Mogamat also went above and beyond by recommending fantastic places to visit, like the Heart of Cape Town Museum, which perfectly aligned with our interests. Thank you very much, Mr Mogamat. Till we meet again! Sincerely, Latifah, Nadia, Fara, and Kieran.
Excellent oraganization and in 3 days he managed to show all key locations with very good customer satisfaction
This is an amazing tour with breath-taking views of the Cape and extremely pleasant drive along the coast with stops in several nice and characteristic places to take photos or shop. Optional stop at Penguins' beach which is a must and should not be missed. The driver (Mogamat) was an extremely kind and knowledgeable person which made the tour even more pleasant.
We had an amazing day driving by the beautiful coast, visiting Cape of the Good hope, Cape Point, Boulders Beach, Stellenbosch with wine tasting etc. Our private driver and guide Mogamat was very friendly and easy to talk to. He had a lot of knowledge and a contagious laughter. This guided tour is highly recommended!
one day sightsseeing tour with a lot of fun. It was bad weather and cold but I will do this trip once more with hopefully good weather.
We had an amazing time discovering Cape Town and its beautiful landscape. And the tour guide Mohamat was just amazing ! Such a great guy!
Cape Town it is. That's where we are going, Mom said. And here we are. Surrounded by the sheer majestic beauty of a place that produced Charlize Theron and the great Nelson Mandela. Of course there's the famed Table Mountain, its image on just about every postcard. And then there's Stellanbosch, Cape Point, Simon's Town, Cape Anguillas, where the mighty Indian ocean meets the Atlantic. On a clear day, and if you're lucky enough, you can see a distinct line, separating the blues. The Cape Malays have been here for centuries, forming a distinct culture of its own. Our guide, Mr Mogamet,a 7th generation Capetonian speaks a language peppered with Dutch German and Malay words. He lived through the apartheid. He was young then, but he remembered the injustice, the horror, the privileges the privileged ones had, just because they could. Simply for being born in the right colour. From Struusbaai to Stellanbosch, from Vineyards to valleys, Cape Town is steeped in history and culture. From colorful ethnic headscarves to hijabs, the sheer diversity of this city is amazing. There are moments, foliage, landscapes reminiscent of Rome, Provence, Naples, Wisconsin, Seattle etc. The World in one city. 4 seasons in a day. Bluest skies, hues of turquoise and sapphires. Delicious cuisine, beautiful people. This is just the beginning of my love affair with Africa. God-willing, I'll be back. Kenya? Ivory Coast? Botswana? A big thank you for taking such great care of us. I am already missing Cape Town.
We are so happy to have met Mo and explore South Africa and Cape Town with him. He has such an interesting, personal history while sharing the history and present time of Cape Town. He is fun, funny, so knowledgeable and agreeable to be with during this once in a lifetime trip. We went on five days of tours with him and loved each and every day. My husband and I said this trip was MOST enhanced by being with Mo. Thank you Mo and we hope to return with all our boys!
Mohammed was our guide for the Peninsula Tour and also to Table Mountain. He was definitely one of the best guides we ever had the pleasure to meet. Once you have met him its like you've know him a long time because of his easy going and very funny personality. He has vast knowledge of the history and culture of South Africa. He took us to see things you would not experience on a regular tour. We had the best time and great memories from our trip to South Africa. I would definitely highly recommend him as a tour guide to anyone visiting Cape Town.
Mr. Mogamat gave us a memorable experience. The day filling tour brought us to all nice places. A lot of knowledge about cape town history, super friendly and relaxed. No need to look further if you need a Cape town tour !
Normally I don't like to travel by guides, however Mogamat has changed my mind completely. He is the best guide I have ever seen, he is not only a good guide, but also very knowledgeable, humble, very friendly, helpful for every need, smiling all the time and guiding you for everything even if it is not the scope of the tour. If you are going to cape Town you should definitely do the tours with him to have the best experience and learn very unique things.

This is a perfect tour to see the fantastic coastline of the Cape Peninsula and a chance to taste some great local wine. A bright sunny day is ideal and we were lucky to have one for our trip - which was just the 2 of us with our excellent driver and guide, Mogamat. Several stops for great scenic views and photographs of the Twelve Apostles and Hout Bay en route to the first stop at Simons Town. Home of the South African navy, this is also where you can optionally visit Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony, which we enjoyed.

After the stop and hike up to the lighthouse at Cape Point, its quite a long drive, along the fabulous False Bay coastline to a wine estate in Stellenbosch. Sunday hours meant we did the wine tasting before lunch and can recommend the wine plus chocolate tasting on the Spier estate excellent wine, unusual chocolate, and, for a UK visitor, incredibly good value for money at around 3.50 each! Our tour ended with a late lunch in the picturesque Stellenbosch town.

Mindful that there are a lot of miles to cover on this trip - and we were there on a busy, sunny Sunday with locals all trying to enjoy a day on the coast - if time we would have liked a few more photo opportunities particularly along False Bay and in the Winelands. Apart from that it was perfect.

While in Cape Town, we did a tour of the peninsula and Table Mountain one day and a tour of the Winelands a different day. We were lucky enough to have Mogamat for both days and we can't speak highly enough about him. We were very happy to see he was our guide on the second day. As with any good guide, he showed us all the good things and was very knowledgeable. There are many things that set him apart, though: he is incredibly knowledgeable about the landscape and the history but it never felt like we were on a tour filled with canned facts. Everything felt organic as if we were just riding around with a friend. Upon hearing about some of the things we had not yet seen he worked it out and changed the schedule to fit them into our tour when it was not originally planned - this was very appreciated and added a lot of value to our day. We had a lot of good conversation with him regarding not only the history but also current affairs and politics, all of which he was very well versed. Great, great tour and we would definitely look him up for another one the next time we are in CT..
I traveled from Los Angeles to Cape Town in late September, 2014. My friend and I were so lucky to have Mr. Mogamat as our tour guide to the winelands. We arrived as a tour group but later were divided into smaller offshoot groups and went on separate extended tours. We later found out that the attractions and restaurants that Mr. Mogamat took us to were far superior and more interesting than what our fellow tour members experienced with their tour guide. We visited the largest winery in the world and ate a superb and reasonably priced lunch at the new beautiful resort of the famed owner of Virgin Airways. The food, service, and ambiance of this restaurant would rival any top rated restaurant in Los Angeles! Most of all, Mr Mogamat's integrity, superb service, professionalism, intellect, knowledge, kindness and patience is what made our trip so special. I realized after Mr Mogamat dropped us off at our hotel that I had misplaced my prescription pills in my cosmetic bag somewhere along our tour route. The next day Mr Mogamat went out of his way and located my lost bag at one of the far away wineries we had visited and arranged for it to be delivered to my hotel. He could have easily dismissed my bag as being "lost." I cannot say enough good things about him! I must add that he was born and raised in Cape Town and told us many interesting stories and insights of the area that only a native born could tell. We learned so much from him!!
Beautiful day, full of emotions and unique landscapes! From Penguin Beach, to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, Clifton, on the way back with magnificent viewpoints along the coast. Our guide has always explained everything to perfection! I highly recommend this tour!
We took the private tour of the Winelands with the Mo guide, went to Stellenbosch to visit the city and museum, and then took us to lunch at a farm called Les Pommerie. We found ourselves very well, he was talkative and clear in the explanations. Very discreet when we decided to go around the city on our own, and always available.
We met our guide Toffar at the cruise terminal in Cape Town. From the first moment he convinced us with his calm manner and informative reports. On our tours to the Cape of Good Hope and the wine region we learned a lot about the sights, but also received a lot of background information about the country and people. Through his journalistic background, we have also roamed many other interesting topics. Toffar drove us to great places where we were not in the very large crowd of tourists. His driving is extremely safe and we could rely on Toffar at all times. He is absolutely trustworthy! When we come back to South Africa, we will definitely turn to Toffar and his company again! Thank you, Toffar , for your support!
