We had the most amazing day on the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins tour! Everything was perfectly organised, the scenery was breathtaking, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you to our fantastic tour guide Candy, who made the day so enjoyable with her knowledge, enthusiasm, friendliness and wonderful personality. She made every stop special and shared so many interesting stories and insights along the way. And a huge shout-out to Zane, the BEST driver! He was incredibly professional, friendly, helpful and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. His driving was excellent, and his positive energy made the experience even better. Seeing the beautiful Cape of Good Hope, enjoying the spectacular coastal views and, of course, getting up close to the adorable penguins at Boulders Beach was simply magical! Candy and Zane truly made this trip unforgettable. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and that makes all the difference. If you’re visiting Cape Town, don’t miss this tour with Cape Archives Tours! We would book it again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Candy and Zane, for such a wonderful day and memories we will cherish forever! ❤️🇿🇦

Itinerary
Shortly after the commencement of the tour, before we leave the city for the coast. We will have the opportunity to make a quick stop in the historic Bo-Kaap to see the brightly colored houses and discover her long history. Your guide will walk you around as you take photos and learn about the history of this neighborhood.
Nestled at the foothills of the Lion's Head Mountain is an affluent suburb called Bantry Bay. Very well known for its wind free status, Bantry Bay has over 250 days of no wind a year which is a great deal in Cape Town considering the mother city's windy climate.
Tucked high up on the mountain side is another opulent neighborhood called Clifton. Besides the expensive real estate, Clifton is also well known for having some of the best beaches near Cape town. The four Clifton beaches that are naturally divided into 4 by granite boulders.
See the beautiful Beverly hills of Cape Town called Camps Bay. Stop briefly to take photos and enjoy the views of the Twelve Apostles.
15 minutes from Camps bay is Hout bay. A town that is surrounded by the mountains and the cold Atlantic. All the roads that leads traffic here goes over mountain passes. Do not be regretting leaving your passports behind when a "Welcome to The republic of Hout bay" sign appears!
Our journey will have an hour lay over at Hout bay harbor whereby you may hop on a boat and embark on a 40 minute scenic journey to an Island inhabited by more than 5 thousand cape fur seals. You will see the seals from the boat and if you may not be keen to take the boat trip you may spend some time exploring the craft market or even take a 10 minute walk to Hout bay Beach. Please note that this optional extra may add another hour onto the tour.
As we leave Hout bay, we will drive onto the world famous Chapman's peak drive. A mountain side road locally known as Chapies. An engineering masterpiece! The Chapman's peak drive meanders for 9km along the giant Chapman's peak mountains that seems to drop into the ocean like an avalanche. You will also have an opportunity to stop for photos and enjoy the views of the Atlantic ocean, the cliffs and the white sandy beaches.
At the Southern end of the Chapman's peak drive is a Noordhoek farm village. The whitewashed and thatched buildings operate as shops trading as raw juice shops, coffee shops, bakery, restaurants hand made crafts shop and clothing stores. A short stop to indulge in some of these will be offered to you.
A mere 200m before the Cape point nature reserve is an Ostrich farm where guest will have an opportunity to stop by along the road and take pictures of Africa's largest bird.
Cape point nature reserve is home to the most south western corner of Africa (Cape of good hope). Rich fauna and flora makes this place a biodiversity hotspot. You will be able to enjoy the views while in the comfort of the vehicle or even by foot.
Famed the corner of Africa. Where the Cold Atlantic and the Indian oceans shares common grounds. The Cape of Good Hope is however only the most South Westerly point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit of the Cape makes for great activity and sightseeing. The Cape of Good Hope sign is also another big attraction. Possible different hiking trails will be offered to you from here by your guide.
Walk or take a funicular (at own cost) up to South Africa's 3rd oldest lighthouse for a 360 degree view of the national park. The old lighthouse was launched in 1860 only to be decommssioned 40 years and dozens of shipwrecks too late after studies proved that its high altitude posed a great danger to sailors around the cape as they couldn't be able to see it in cloudy weather conditions. A new lighthouse was since built at a much lower altitude.
Another quiet and wealthy town on the false bay coastline. The victorian built Simon's town is home to some of the freshest seafood restaurants and where you might stop for an hour and grab some lunch (guide may choose to have lunch at Cape point depending on how the tour goes)
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony is home to thousands of the endangered tuxedo swimmers, the African penguin! Here you will walk on the beach and take close up photos of one of our flightless birds. Your guide will also provide you with information about the penguin's current affairs.
Muizenberg Beach is also known as "The surfers corner". Brightly colored changing huts on the beach makes for a great photoshoot. Provided that we have time and the traffic flow is reasonable, you will be able to have your last stop before the engines steers north for Cape Town to finish off a great sightseeing day.

Simply a great day out with an experienced host and driver to the Cape of Good Hope with Cape Tours. Learned so much from Candy and Zane who imparted so much information about Cape Town and its history as we ventured down to the most western southern part of South Africa. Would highly recommend it.
A full day exploring the route to the southern western point of South Africa with Cape Tours and Safaris. Penguins galore along the way and professionally managed by our hosts Candy and Zane. Learnt so much from Candy’s knowledge and enjoyed the smooth ride from Zane. It’s a great day out for sure but take a light rain jacket just in case.
The tour was very interesting and very well managed. We stopped at incredible viewing points as well as the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders beach. Candy and Zane were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this tour.
I booked my tour just the night before. Pauline was extremely responsive and sent information and updates. But the key player of the day and the tour was Kelvin, our driver. Impeccable service, he shared so much information, kept us entertained while safely driving us to the next stop of the tour. He even kindly jumped into the role of a photographer which is way beyond we could expect. If you book the tour, ask for Kelvin (if available), you won’t regret it.
Tour guide Candice and driver Zans (not sure of spelling) were fantastic. Everything ran to plan, and info provided was thorough and knowledgeable
I would rate this experience a 10/10. Perfect tour if you want to see the Peninsula in a day. The tour guide was really good, took care of all of us. The mini van was super clean and neat. Admission fees for the gates was easy to obtain from my point of view as a resident in SADC but if you are not tech savvy just buy the whole package with the admission fees for the parks. The Atmosphere was very friendly, bumped into a lot of cool families and tourists on the same journey so it made it 10x more fun and heartwarming. This trip is best for anyone who wants to tour the Peninsula without worrying about logistics, solo travellers, you will definitely be safe with these guys, they pick you up from your place and drop you off at your place if you ask them to. I would also recommend the trip for families too.
Excellent trip. Great communication regarding pick up time and location. Our guide and driver for the day Kelvin was personable and knowledgable. The whole journey was interesting with the highlights being the Cape of Good Hope National Park and the penguin colony at Boulders Bay. We saw so much wildlife including; baboons, ostrich and zebras. Kelvin even came back to drop off my sunglasses which I left in the van.
We did the Cape Peninsula and Boulders Beach tour with Kelvin and really enjoyed it. Kelvin shared a lot of interesting background on the area and the day ran smoothly, with plenty of time at each stop. The coastal views were beautiful and the penguins at Boulders Beach were a highlight. Would highly recommend!
An excellent full day exploring the main sights with a fantastic tour guide Candice. Candice and driver Zane really made our first day in South Africa truly memorable. Candy was so friendly, knowledgable and she made the day so enjoyable with her interesting facts and running commentary throughout the whole day.
Absolutely fab day out seeing all the key sights of the Cape peninsula. Candy (guide) and Zane (driver) were excellent, keeping us fully informed and on schedule for a full packed day. Loads of additional informative facts provided at every stop and many additional recommendations. All in all a must do!

They also made a great effort to share all the important and interesting information about the different sights we visited. This tour is so worth it, we had Natasha as our tour guide and she was absolutely fantastic. This is the second tour we did with her and she is amazing with young infants, our daughter loved her. The experience it’s self was amazing, loved the penguins and baboons at cape point. Could not recommend enough, thank you so much!

Candy was a great host - responsive to travellers, full of relevant information, and looked after us. Driving felt safe and comfortable. There were quite a few highlights, with the top one being Cape of Good Hope and its walks.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Day! Such an amazing tour with two wonderful guides, Candy and Penashe! We explored the beautiful Cape Peninsula, visited the Cape of Good Hope, and enjoyed seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach. Both were incredibly kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They explained the history of the area in excellent English and showed us some fantastic viewpoints along the way. The stunning scenery and the overall atmosphere made this one of the highlights of our stay in Cape Town. Thank you, Candy and Penashe, for such a memorable experience!

This tour was amazing. We had only a few days in cape town, so this tour is perfect to explore all the best spots in the city. The guides Candy and Zane were so great - we learned so much about South Africa!! I really recommend taking this tour - it’s so worth it!
We had a very pleasant day touring around Cape Town. If you are short of time, but you would like to see all of the essentials, this is the tour for you. The pace, the stops, the activities were all meticulously planned. We had an amazing time. Our guide and driver Candy and Zane made our trip unforgetable. The are truly professionals. Candy took very good care of us. She was super knowledgable about everything we have seen and paid attention to all our needs. I have been on many tours, but this one was very special.
Wonderful day! Small group, lots of information and facts given as we toured around. Rodney was superb, he made the day fun and informative. Loved every stop- soo much to see. Rodney was good with the crowd keeping order when the queues got chaotic for photos. Lovely lunch at the Cape of Good Hope. Maybe a bit too long at the penguins stop- we saw them- and then had a lot of time hanging around. But overall a really lovely day, got dropped picked up from our accommodation and dropped back- thank you!
What a wonderful day with our amazing guide, Candy, and fabulous driver, Zane. It was a very long day but well worth it. I was a solo female traveler and was with a small group. The scenery was magnificent and Candy’s was so knowledgeable about the history of the country and the places we visited. Don’t hesitate to book!
Candy was a FANTASTIC guide. Not only was she so knowledgeable, she was so kind and funny! I loved seeing how so many other guides sought her out at the stops to say hello. She is also a great photographer!! The itinerary was efficient in a good way and never felt rushed. Highly recommend this tour and Candice (Candy) to everyone!
This tour was the perfect way to explore Cape of Good Hope! Nana our tour guide was incredible and provided us with important historical information and kept us entertained and interested throughout the day. We saw many animals - seals, ostrich, baboons, penguins, and so many beautiful flowers and landscapes. Would recommend this tour to everyone! We particularly enjoyed the hike options at Cape of Good Hope and beautiful views and animals there.
Great experience. The sights are not to be missed. Our guide, Candy was very informative.
Kevin was excellent. Informative, considerate, helpful - perfect! The trip was well organised and Kevin tailored it to meet our needs
We had a wonderful day out with Candies and P. The tour guide was very helpful and friendly. We had such a good time Table mountain was a beautiful place we had plenty of time to explore. Candies was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail.
Candy was an excellent and experienced guide. She was so informative and kept telling us interesting facts throughout the day. Our driver P did a great job keeping us safe. Hopefully on your trip you will be lucky enough to have Candy as your guide.
We travelled in a group of 11 led by Candice with our driver P. Though we didn’t know any of the group beforehand it was still relaxing and comfortable travelling together. Candice was very informative throughout the day and we especially appreciated her filling in advance what was next. It was a full on day. We even saw a zebra, wild ostriches and baboons in the Cape of Good hope park. Our only regret was not spending time in Simon’s Town. P did a great job ensuring we were all there and safe.
I’ve been on many guided tours worldwide for many years. I can safely say that Candy was the best guide I have ever come across her knowledge on South Africa was amazing. Any tour company would be very lucky to employ someone like Candy.
We had a wonderful day with Candy and P to Cape point etc. Her knowledge at each location was very impressive. She was a fantastic tour guide. I wish she was on every trip. Our driver also was fabulous and very pleasant.
Packed day seeing many of Capetown's top tourist spots including Table Mountain and the penguins. Candy and 'P' were great driver and guide. We even saw zebra, eland, baboon and ostrich! A fun and informative day. Thank you to both!

Fantastic tour. The sites were incredible and guide Candy and driver P were amazing hosts with a lot of information shared throughout. They made the day even better
We had a great day on this tour. Our guide Candy and Pe our driver were both excellent. We went to Bo-kapp, then along the coast seeing all the sights, we had many photo stops. We stopped in Boulders Bay to see the penguins & then had lunch in Simon’s Town. After this we went to the Cape of Good Hope where there were options to hike the mountain or get the funicular to the lighthouse. Candy was very informative about the sights and also told us a lot about South Africa and it’s history. We would highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour, Danson was great! It was well organized and perfectly executed. I would totally recommend to visit the most important points in Cape Town
Wow, what an amazing trip from start to finish. 10/10 would recommend. We were staying in Camps Bay so we were unsure if the pick up and drop off service would include us but it did! We had a lovely driver who took us to meet the others at Bo Kaap. There we met our tour guide Rodney who was so friendly, welcoming, knowledgable, helpful, everything you could wish for from a tour guide ! Every stop was totally worth it and had just the right amount of time to do what was needed. Cape of Good Hope is stunning and a must see if visiting Capetown! The penguins at Boulders Beach, Chapmans Peak, seal island and Noordhoek Farm were all well worth the visit too! The journey to the places and the stop offs on the way were all so picturesque! The reason we picked this tour over others was because it INCLUDES all the fees ( other than the seal island which you can do if you want to ), and after seeing everyone else in all the queues to pay for their tickets I would say this is a better trip to book and worth it for a hassle free, easy, smooth day! We honestly couldn’t have asked for more, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone thinking of going ! Thank you for a lovely day :)
We had the best day with Nana and Zane! Nana shared so much history with us throughout the tour, it really elevated the trip and taught us so much. The stops are all so beautiful and this was a great way to see many of the Cape Town highlights in one day
A tour packed with things to see and so, worth it. Very knowledgable and friendly guide, careful driver. Was full of information and facts and managed to keep it going til the very end. Fabulous, enjoyed it immensely.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Candy our tour guide and Zane our driver. We were lucky to get to table mountain first thing in the morning to miss the queues and get up before the weather turned. It was a great day, where we leant alot about the Cape. Candy was very informative and also free to get us a good photo
We had such a great day exploring Cape Town! It was a long day, but we got to see so much, including Table Mountain, Boulders Beach, Simon’s Town and Cape Point Nature Reserve. Our highlights were definitely Table Mountain and Simon’s Town — both were amazing! Candy was such a brilliant tour guide. She was so much fun, really informative and full of interesting stories and facts about South Africa. She also took the time to get to know us, which made the whole day feel that much more personal. The hotel pick-up was easy and we barely had to wait for the cable car at Table Mountain, which was a bonus! Zane was a great driver and we felt in safe hands all day. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town. Thanks Candy and Zane for such a memorable day!
This was an excellent day. We were picked up on time by Togeda who was our guide for the day. Toured the coast, then the Cape and the Penguins. A big day but such good value and our guide Togeda was great. Lots of information provided. Enjoyed it all.
