Rai was an amazing guide who made the trip memorable, explaining both Cape Town’s landscape, architecture, and culture. Really recommend it.

Itinerary
Pick up at 8:00 or 9:00am at your accommodation in Cape Town. We are flexible, should you wish to begin your tour earlier or later. From there we will embark on a brief drive-by city orientation tour to view some of the important historical monuments in the city.
We stop in the Bo-Kaap to take a photo with the colourful houses and perhaps greet a local or two if they are around. Please remain next to your own tour guide and keep your belongings close to you at all times.
We travel along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove to take some breathtaking photos with the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach in the distance.
Hout Bay Harbour is next on our list of top attractions in Cape Town. Here we can choose to take the seal island boat trip or enjoy some shopping at the market. There are restrooms and a curio shop where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee.
From Hout Bay we will travel along Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the most beautiful drives in the world. We stop at the Chapmans peak viewpoint to take some breathtaking photos and marvel at the beauty of sun-glazed oceans sparkling for as far as the eye can see.
Travelling along the Atlantic coastline, with views of Long Beach in the distance, an optional stop at Noordhoek Farm Village will be offered. Coffee lovers will enjoy an optional coffee at the Village Roast, one of the best coffee brewers in Cape Town. If you have a sweet tooth they have the best ice cream in Cape Town
From Noordhoek we drive towards Cape of Good hope, Take an optional stop here to visit the Cape Point ostrich farm and maybe even feed the ostrich.
One of the most historic nature reserves in South Africa, Cape of Good Hope affords us the opportunity to explore the historical monuments of Diaz and Da Gama and take our photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board.
From the Cape of Good Hope we proceed to Cape Point, where we can either take a short walk to the cape point lighthouse or we can take an optional Funicular to the lighthouse at an additional cost. From the Cape Point lighthouse, we can take a peak through the telescope and explore the rest of the lighthouse. This is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean Currents: Cold Benguela and the Warm Agulhas currents. Lunch options at Cape Point are the Two Oceans Restaurant for a fresh seafood sit down lunch, or grab a takeaway from the informal eatery.
Departing from Cape Point, we will make our way along the coast to Boulders Penguins Colony, where we will view approximately 2500 African penguins frolicking on the beach. These enchanting sea creatures love to wander off the beach and you may find them striding next to you on the boardwalk.
From Boulders Beach Penguin Colony we continue with the coastal drive passing small town, Glencairn, Fish Hoek, Clovelly, Kalk Bay, St James, lastly Muizenberg. An optional stop at Muizenberg beach. Here you are given the opportunity to take a photo with the colourful beach huts. These beach huts are traditionally used as changing rooms for sunbathers and swimmers, and make for a colourful photo.
We return to Cape Town for drop off at your accommodation after a beautiful day in the Cape Peninsula.

Our excellent guide Leuya was welcoming and knowledgeable. The itinerary was great and we enjoyed many beautiful towns, scenery, the Cape and the Penguins. Great communication before tour from the operator. Highly recommend this tour and this company.
Ray was the best guide ever. He was very accommodating to our needs. He was very informative. The day went as expected from pick up to drop off.
I booked this trip for a group of colleagues since we were in town for a business meeting. The booking was easy and the operators were super responsive and helpful when we needed to modify a port of our tour. We had Ray was our guide and he was knowledgeable, fun and very thoughtful. He had a deep understanding of history, wildlife and culture. We asked SO many questions and he was able to answer them all. I would highly recommend this operator AND Ray as a guide. 11/10, 5 stars.
We highly recommended to go on this tour with Ray. He was very punctual, polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He went in detail about all information on the sites we visited. He timed perfectly for every spot and was very patient for our questions and needs. He impressed us with his knowledge about history, economy, education, nature, and fun facts. Great welcoming personality. Safe driver. The tour was very complete and included historical sites, natural sites, and city sites. He kept a great pace, and even though the day was long, we did not feel tired at the end. his professionalism was outstanding. Definitely go on this tour with Ray to see the beauty of South Africa.
Our Cape of Good Hope Tour today with Ray as our private guide was FABULOUS! Ray explained the history and little known facts about the sights that we saw. He was so patient..always willing to lend a hand and so much fun to be with! We hope to return to Africa again soon and will of course request Ray as our guide!
Joel did a great job showing me all around Cape Town on a private full day tour. During a comfortable ride we saw so many great sites and animals including seals, penguins, ostriches, elands and dassie (hydrax). The coastline was beautiful and we also got to tour some of the winery road with Joel giving historical info all along the way. Highly recommended!
Ray was the best tour operator. He thoroughly explained everything, was kind, and very helpful. We enjoyed our day with him and would highly recommend him and this company. He tailored the day to fit our likes and gave us time to soak in the views. Could not ask for a better experience.
Driver on time, brandnew car, all admissions prepaid, great lunch place, relaxed driver with good overall knowlwdge, Saw austriches, Penguins, Baboons
Collen our tour guide was amazing,he reached out before the pickup which certainly provided some reassurance-he was on time in a clean car !! Collen wanted to get to know us and told us all about his family ,he is very proud of his determination to do the best -this guy will go far and deserves to do so We had a great day touring the cape peninsula, nothing was too much trouble and he was fully of interesting facts -we learnt so much Please ask for Collen ,you will not be disappointed
It was a beautiful trip highlighting the most remarkable places in Cape Town our guide was a informative. We really enjoyed.
We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Ray, and he truly made our day unforgettable. From the moment we set off, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and warm personality set the tone for an incredible experience. Ray brought each stop to life with fascinating stories and history—whether we were walking through the colorful streets of the Bo-Kaap neighborhood, watching the penguins at Boulder Beach, or standing in awe at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. He guided us to breathtaking views along Chapman’s Peak, the charm of Hout Bay, and the pristine beauty of Clifton. He also knew just where to take us for delicious meals and treats—our lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant was perfectly timed with stunning ocean views, and treats at Kristen’s Kick-Ass Ice Cream in Noordhoek Farm Village was the sweetest touch. What impressed us most, though, was Ray’s compassion and attentiveness. One member of our group was prone to carsickness, and Ray went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable throughout the day, adjusting the journey with care and checking in often. His thoughtfulness and genuine kindness made all the difference. Ray is not just a guide, but a host, storyteller, and friend. If you’re lucky enough to tour with him, you’ll see Cape Town’s beauty through his eyes and walk away with memories you’ll treasure forever.
Ray is a great driver very knowledgeable and friendly, showed us all the good spots and restaurants! You will not be disappointed.
This was a perfect all day tour and Ray was the best guide to have. Showed us many different breathtaking sights around the Cape Town area and told us a lot of interesting facts along the way. The route and stops are very well thought out, the day flew by. And the Seaforth Restaurant we stopped at for lunch was great! I would highly recommend this tour and Ray as a guide.
Ray was the perfect host for this amazing Cape Hope experience. We will never forget the breathtaking ocean waves and all the picturesque views.
Ray is the best tour guide you can have! We had an amazing experience with him. Ray is a very nice, friendly person and a professional tour guide. He showed us amazing places and told us a lot of interesting things. Perfect tour with a perfect guide in a very nice car 😊👍🏻
I recently took a tour of the Cape of Good Hope, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Ray, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to everyone in the group. He shared fascinating insights about the area's history and nearby attractions, making the trip both educational and enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking, and Ray ensured we had plenty of opportunities to take it all in. I highly recommend this tour and Ray as a guide for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Cape.
Our trip was amazing! Ray was an incredible guide and really made our experience so special. He showed us all the best places, gave us a comprehensive history of the area and told us about local customs. The car was incredibly comfortable and we had a fantastic time. Would absolutely book any tour with him again!
Awesome day seeing the highlights of Cape Town with our guide Ray. The itinerary was perfect and Ray was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and fun to talk with about South Africa.
We had a wonderful full day tour with Ray. We were impressed with his knowledge and ability to engage our two children. I’d highly recommend for families! Thank you, Ray!
Kasi really knows about the local história, wich made a lot of difference on our tour. He showed us local atores and cafe and assisted us in everything we needed. We hope we can repeat tour someday. Tottaly worth it !
Had a great all day tour with Ray. He did a phenomenal job and was very accommodating when one person on our tour started feeling under the weather.
We had an outstanding day with Ray. His English was excellent and he was super knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He was fun and easygoing and a great driver . We were able to tailor our day trip to what we wanted to see and do. Highly recommend the trip and Ray!
Mo was an excellent driver he explained us a lot of things thank you to have made our excursion unforgetable we will come back for sure
The tour was great 👍. Mac, our guide, was excellent - professional, knowledgeable, and fun. The penguin colony and Cape Hope were wonderful.
We had an incredible time Ray during our trip around the Cape. He was able to help us navigate a heavy tourist season by starting at the Penguins colony and working our way back to Cape Town - it seriously probably saved us over 1.5 hours sitting in toll gates. He was great about adapting the tour - including taking us to a winery during lunch as it was close by. We would 15/10 recommend this tour and Ray as your guide.
We were fortunate to get a very fine guide in Roland. Also the assigned agency was very accomadating.and ailored the experience to our needs. We spent a lot of time with the penguins, less so in the hikes around the park and saw a lot of baboons.
We had an excellent tour with Ray to Boulder Beach and the Cape of Good hope. He let us know ahead of time of the traffic conditions so we were able to get ahead of the crowd. Very flexible in allowing us time to enjoy Boulder Beach and the penguins. Was very informative of the history of the area and the different towns we drove through. I think what we enjoyed most was his flexibility in allowing us to spend time in areas we were most interested in. Would highly recommend as a tour guide.
Excellent friendly guide creating an amazing day full of experience of wildlife and scenary. We think this was the best way to learn and see the very best selection of spots. So flexible adjusting the schedule.
This was, hands down, the best tour I’ve ever experienced. Ray was phenomenal and incredibly knowledgeable. The original tour plans were canceled due to weather and, as I said on the tour, everything happens for a reason. I was solo, as I was on a trip for work, and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We quickly shifted the plans and I’m so glad that we did. We squeezed in so many amazing experiences into a 9 hr day. We went to the cape of good hope, hung out penguins, went wine tasting, saw Bo kaap, stopped at the ocean to watch the waves, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and learned so much about the culture and history of South Africa. It was truly an extraordinary experience that created memories that will last a lifetime. I am excited to return with my family and cannot recommend this experience and Ray enough.
My mom and I did a Cape Point and Penguins private tour with Ray last month. It was great. Couldn’t have gone more smoothly. We had communicated beforehand because of mom’s mobility issues. Ray was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. He knew exactly what accessibility would be like at each stop. And advised us every step of the way. Ensuring we got to see everything we wanted to experience while also being flexible and responsive to our particular needs.
My friend and I booked this private Cape tour and requested Ray as our guide based on reviews i had read. We were so happy and grateful for our experience with him on the cape tour we canceled our wine country tour with a different company and booked a wine tour with Ray for two days later. We can not recommend him any mire highly. What a well spoken, knowledgeable and personable young man. He was so thoughtful, articulate , easy to hear and understand even from back seat. we learned so much about the history of the country and we so appreciated how much he shared about his own story and culture. He was very observant and attentive to our needs and limits and totally was guided by our choices for how to spend the days.
Ray was very warm, fun and knowledgeable! His narration during the tour was capturing and enlightening. He made some bookings in advance (e.g. the lunch stop) for us which was so kind.
It was an amazing experience to be at the southern most part of the African continent and see the type of vegetation and the animals that inhabit that area. The experience was greatly enhanced by our guide, Ray, who gave us the full history of South Africa and the different stops and attractions along the way to the Cape of Good Hope from Cape Town. We had small knowledge SS with us so we stopped along the way for them to get great pictures of the animals and views. We had an amazing lunch at the Seaforth restaurant which was recommended by Ray. Having a guide who is patient, know the history and have a pleasant personality make this one of our family’s best experience. We highly recommend Ray as a guide for this tour.
This tour give you a very good outline of the costal line of Cape Town, South Africa. Our Guide Joshua did an amazing job. He was able to customise my itinerary as requested. We saw lots of animals, penguins was our highlight. Thank you for such fantastic tour.
The tour said we could adjust the start time, so we pushed it back by 30 mins; however, it did not state that the ending would not also be extended. In addition, our driver did not adjust the order of the schedule to make sure we had time to do the winery, which was to be included, before they closed. In fact, I had to ask about the winery as our driver talked about our last stop and it wasn’t it. We also had to pay for our driver’s entry fee to see the penguins; although, he really didn’t add anything to our experience. That being said, we did get to see some amazing sites along the coast, the lighthouse, the colorful houses in town and the penguins. Our guide provided a lot of history and was generous with taking pictures of us.
We had a wonderful day from start to finish. Ray was attentive, knowledgeable and fun. He also made sure the pace and itinerary suited us, and we would unhesitatingly recommend him as a guide. Carl & Sue
We booked this tour as we prefer to be driven private and we had an airport transfer by 4pm. We requested for Ray as we saw lots of good reviews and the company reserved him for us. Our Guide Ray showed up to our hotel with a good clean sedan. Ray listen to us carefully to the things we wanted to do and see for the day and be by the airport by 4pm. Our Guide Ray made our tour very special. we saw all we wanted to see and more. He made lunch reservation for us as well. Very good Restaurant in Simonstown. Noordhoek coffee stop was great and had the best Ice cream in SA. Ray knew a lot of history about South Africa, very polite and good sense of humour. Thank you Bukuru Travel for such a wonderful tour with Ray.
This was the best tour ever! We had a private tour with our guide, Ray, from Bukuru Travel and Tours. He was so nice, knowledgeable, and fun to travel with! Because it was a private tour, he tailored our trip to see the sights we wanted to see. We never felt rushed to hurry from one place to another- he let us spend as much time as we wanted throughout the entire tour. I am amazed at how much we were able to see and learn in that full day tour! In addition to the tour, he also took care of our round trip transportation from the airport to the hotel. The Cape is beautiful and this private tour is the best way to see it! Thanks, Ray, for a perfect day!
It would be impossible to improve on this tour. Ray, our guide, was kind, knowledgeable, and never ever made us feel rushed. We saw everything we wanted plus extras he knew we would enjoy.. You will not be dissappointed using this Tour Company.
At first, I was unsure about booking a private guide for this tour, but I'm so glad I did it. Arthur made us feel so welcome and it was easy to chat. He went the extra mile to make the day special for us. The Cape Point National Park is spectacular, we even saw zebras roaming around. We stopped at an ostrich farm as well on our way there. But my real highlight were the penguins. We did the boardwalk on Fox Beach, but went to the actual Boulders Beach as well. This is where you can swim and walk right next to the penguins. Just amazing. Bring your swimsuit, though. I really lost track of time, there, but Arthur stayed very friendly and kind. Dinner was in a fish restaurant, very nice. I will never forget this day. After realizing that we tipped him poorly, I reached out to his company to right my wrong, and they were very nice as well.
This was our first time to South Africa and we thought that getting a private guide for our first day would help us with landmarks and provide us with education surrounding the culture. We had a wonderful experience with our awesome guide, Seraphin! It was raining in the morning so he re-routed everything so that we could see the best views of all in the afternoon when it was sunny. He took us through Cape Town, through the townships (and stopped whenever we wanted to), Cape of Good Hope, Table Mt. reserve, Boulder beach and penguins, Chapman's Peak, etc. everywhere we had wanted to go and beyond all the time explaining, laughing and enjoying as much as we were. Hard to believe that someone could keep two very active grandmothers and a 20 yr. old granddaughter engaged so well! Seraphin was on time with a very clean and new mercedes and the tour lasted about 2 hrs over what was expected as he wanted to ensure that we saw all. Thank you to Seraphin for introducing us to beautiful South Africa! We are already missing it! Will definitely book through this company next time
Picked up promptly from hotel covered a lot of attractions should of asked to go to bo kapp and camps bay and signal hill as we didn’t get chance to see them nice to do a private tour
I booked a private full day tour for my husband and I while honeymooning in Cape Town. We had a great timing seeing all the beautiful sights around the cape peninsula and got to see many animals including penguins (my favorite!), baboons, antelope, seals, ostriches, and these kind of ground hog looking things. We enjoyed spending the day with our tour guide who kept the day interesting by teaching us a lot about what we were seeing and the local history and culture. South Africa was playing in the rugby World Cup semi finals and we had reached out to the tour beforehand and asked if we could stop and see part of the game at a local bar - it ended up being one of the best parts of the day! Thanks for the wonderful experience, I highly recommend!
Seraphin was a wonderful guide. Because the private tour was just for myself, Seraphin customized the day for me. He even managed to stop at a few extra stops not listed on the itinerary for photograph along the way. Cape Town is such a beautiful city and not to missed as a bucket list place. I will definitely be back a few more times to this friendly, memorable city. The landscape and scenery are just spectacular. Thanks Sepharin for taking great care of this first time visitor to your city.
A big THANK YOU to Ibby for going above and beyond on our very first day in Cape Town and taking us on a fabulous private tour of the Cape. We spent over 8 hours with him, pouring out his endless knowledge to us and showing us as much of CapeTown as he possibly could. We learned so much from him that day, having never even been to SA before this trip, Ibby seemed to enjoy giving us the best experience possible. We ‘did’ Boulders Bay, Cape Point, The National Park of which he pointed out all the flora and fauna. Simon’s Town, Camps Bay, Clifton, Bo Kaap to name but a few! Wow! Thank you Ibby
Given we had already done this private tour when we last visited the area, we could have been very picky clients but Seraphin was an absolutely amazing guide. The wealth of knowledge he had was spectacular and he took no shortcuts with the tour. He actually took us to places we didn't see the first time and shared soooo much information with us about everything from history to culture to info about the nature. We don’t know if he’s a regular guide through this offer but we can’t recommend him highly enough. Most guides are reasonably good about sharing info but he knew all the stories about just about everything and also gave us details throughout our drive out of Cape Town about the history of how it came about. You could tell he was working hard to please us and he succeeded! I only wish we took a photo with him before the end of the day so we could remember how great he was!
We didn't have 8-9 hours for a full day tour and had a specific list of places we wanted to go. This tour was perfect for that! Nathan picked us up at our accommodations early in the morning and we headed for our Cape tour. He stopped when we asked and at spots he thought were must sees. He had interesting facts and information to share throughout the tour. We fit in everything we wanted including a lunch stop at a great place recommended by Nathan. We planned a hike afterwards and Nathan dropped us off right at the trail. We couldn't have asked for a better private customized tour!
We had a great day with Ibby!! He promised us an epic, next level experience, and he did not disappoint. We loved that we were able to see the things we wanted to, but that Ibby threw in skme ghkngs we didn't even know we wanted most! We saw the penguins, went to Cape Point, had an impromptu mini-safari and drove up to Chapman's Peak. After a delicious lunch at Cape Point Winery, we went to Signal Hill for 360° views of Cape Town before ending up at Sea Point to watch rge sunset. We even ended the evening with an epic game of mini- golf with Ibby!! We had such a great time seeing all the sights and learning a ton about South African history and pop culture! I would HIGHLY recommended this tour to anyone lookiing to have their own unique experience with an accommodating guide whose aim is to help you have the best time ever!!
