We travel along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. We stop at Maiden's Cove to take some breathtaking photos with the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach in the distance.
Hout Bay Harbour is next on our list of top attractions in Cape Town. Here we can choose to take the seal island boat trip or enjoy some shopping at the market. There are restrooms and a curio shop where you can also enjoy a cup of coffee.
From Hout Bay we will travel along Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the most beautiful drives in the world. We stop at the Chapmans peak viewpoint to take some breathtaking photos and marvel at the beauty of sun-glazed oceans sparkling for as far as the eye can see.
Travelling along the Atlantic coastline, with views of Long Beach in the distance, an optional stop at Noordhoek Farm Village will be offered. Coffee lovers will enjoy an optional coffee at the Village Roast, one of the best coffee brewers in Cape Town. If you have a sweet tooth they have the best ice cream in Cape Town
From Noordhoek we drive towards Cape of Good hope, Take an optional stop here to visit the Cape Point ostrich farm and maybe even feed the ostrich.

From the Cape of Good Hope we proceed to Cape Point, where we can either take a short walk to the cape point lighthouse or we can take an optional Funicular to the lighthouse at an additional cost. From the Cape Point lighthouse, we can take a peak through the telescope and explore the rest of the lighthouse. This is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean Currents: Cold Benguela and the Warm Agulhas currents. Lunch options at Cape Point are the Two Oceans Restaurant for a fresh seafood sit down lunch, or grab a takeaway from the informal eatery.
Departing from Cape Point, we will make our way along the coast to Boulders Penguins Colony, where we will view approximately 2500 African penguins frolicking on the beach. These enchanting sea creatures love to wander off the beach and you may find them striding next to you on the boardwalk.
From Boulers Beach Penguin Colony we continue with the coastal drive passing small town, Glencairn, Fish Hoek, Clovelly, Kalk Bay, St James, lastly Muizenberg. An optional stop at Muizenberg beach. Our guide Ray, was so kind from the very start of our tour. He tailored the day to fit our wants and answered all of our questions. When the ticket services were down at Boulders Beach, Ray quickly solved the problem and had us through the gates and to the penguins. When we were trying to address an issue that came up with our credit card (not with this company, but with the taxi company from the airport), Ray was quick to step in and offer solutions and even checked up on us several times (a week later, and even a month later) to make sure we had it resolved and had made it home safely. He was extremely knowledgeable in the area and took us to all the best spots. I was so glad that we decided not to rent a car, but rather to do this. That way we were able to concentrate on enjoying the beautiful scenery!
Absolutely amazing experience. Ray was an outstanding guide for our full-day Cape Peninsula tour and truly made our first day in Cape Town memorable. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire day. We visited Boulders Beach, Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope, Kalk Bay, and Simon’s Town, and Ray shared a great mix of local history, cultural context, and practical tips that made each stop more meaningful and enjoyable. The pacing of the day was excellent, and we never felt rushed. If it’s your first time visiting Cape Town and you want a guide who is personable, professional, and genuinely passionate about the area, I would highly recommend booking with Ray.
Clement was a wonderful guide, mine of information and I learnt so much about Cape Town and South Africa. The day was packed with amazing views, animals and experiences. Lunch (Clements booking) was fabulous at Live Bait. Thankyou for a fabulous day!
Ray is a fabulous guide!! Knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and kind, he made us feel welcome and at ease. If we were staying longer we’d have booked another day with him for sure.
Ray was an excellent tour guide for my Cape Town experience, including the Cape of Good Hope and the penguin tour. He was friendly, professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. He made the day enjoyable and stress-free, and I felt well taken care of throughout. Highly recommended tour with Kasi Africa Safari & Tours and Ray!
Was great I am enjoying the experience and it’s such a I enjoyed the experience and it goes beautiful views Ray the guide was 10/10 and knowledgable about the country and things to so
We did this tour privately with a helicopter start and the finale was wine tasting What an amazing day with Ray, his knowledge, willingness to cater the experience to our requests was memorable, as he was a first class Tour guide If you are looking for a tour that doesn’t fit any of the advertised ones, he is able to provide customised experiences to fulfil your ideas . Thank you Ray for being the perfect host, we will definitely be in touch when we are in town again 🥂
We had a private tour to False bay, cape of good hope and Chapman Peak Drive. With the most pleasant and knowledgeable guide. He comes highly recommended. When the cable car to table mountain was broke he arranged an excellent wine tasting.
Great tour guide! He thoroughly explained the history and the demographics of Cape Town as we went along. I would recommend Ray to anyone
The tour was great and we got to see everything we wanted to with great information being provided by Ray throughout. I would recommend doing the private guided tour as this gives you the opportunity to explore more of what suits you.
The private Cape Peninsula day tour with Ray was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and excellent at making recommendations based on our interests, adjusting our itinerary as desired. This is the way to maximize your day and capture many of the top must-see spots on the Cape peninsula. The tour exceeded our expectations - breathtaking views along the way with stops at great locations to take it all in. Chapman's Peak drive and Cape Point were amazing (a must to go up to the lighthouse). The penguins at Boulder's Bay were a great experience - be sure to take the path through the garden nesting area that goes to the beach.
Ray is fantastic, a true professional with exceptional knowledge. Bringing to life all that he shows you and adapted our tour to give us a fantastic overview of Cape Town and beyond. If you want to get the best guide, Ray is the one for you. Thank you Ray for a truly wonderful day 😀🇿🇦
My husband and I were recently taken on a private guided tour around the Cape Peninsula by Ray- he was punctual, professional and I cannot stress enough about his knowledge of the Cape history and sights! We only had one full day in Cape Town and this was definitely the best way to see the incredible scenery and learn about the significance of each area. We saw the penguins and were given lots of time to take photos and explore. Next year I plan to return and do a Garden Route Tour with Ray!
Ray was friendly, informative and very personable. It was great to visit so many amazing places- even in the rain! Ray not only told us about the history and key points relating to each place but told us about local culture and customs. This was truly amazing!
Ray was superb. We had a private day tour and Ray reordered things to suit the traffic and weather. From Seal island, to penguins at Boulders Beach, to the scenic drive to Cape of Good Hope, and some of the highlights in Cape Town, it was a packed final day of our holiday. Ray took photos, was very knowledgeable and looked after mum and dad perfectly. A true gentleman.
The guide was nice and the drive/scenic spots were beautiful. Unfortunately, nothing — including seeing penguins, despite the title of the experience — is included. Besides a dedicated driver and a bottle of water split between two people, everything else was an additional charge including seeing penguins, toll to get to the Cape of Good Hope, etc. Might be best, especially for more groups of 2+, just to hire a private driver or simply rent a car.
It was ana mazing experience! Perfect time of the year the eggs were hatching and you could see them from only 1 feet away with their babies and unhatched eggs. Mo our guide was spectacular! He is a true asset to the company
I would recommend this trip to anyone. Ray, our guide, made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He was also so kind and knowledgeable about the area. He really went above and beyond and even helped my fiancé and I book transportation in another area of South Africa. This was our best day spent in Cape Town. Thank you, Ray!!
This was a big highlight of our visit to Cape Town- truly a must-see!! Our guide, Mo, was awesome! He shared great information about the city, the landscape, the culture and history. I highly recommend making this a part of your trip. The coast and all the beautiful spots along the way are truly stunning.
Amazing and wonderful, Ray is an enthusiastic advocate for this region. A great stress free way to see critters and country side. Gleaned so much knowledge about this region. Highly recommend his tour skills.
Could not have asked for a better experience - George was an amazing tour guide! Had the best day and one of the most memorable experiences of our honeymoon! Booked a private tour with George who showed us some absolutely incredible views of the cape with perfect weather. He made a reservation for lunch that the best seafood we had during our time in South Africa. Had a marvelous time and would recommend to anyone!
Ray is an INCREDIBLE tour guide and created one of the most memorable days of our honeymoon! We booked Ray for a private tour to see some of Cape Town’s main sights, and we saw an incredible amount in just one day - Camps Bay, Hout Bay and the seals, Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Boulders Beach and the penguins, the Cape of Good Hope, Chapman’s Peak, and even more. Ray led us through so much, and the whole time, he did not pressure us at all to stay on a schedule or be rushed. We had truly memorable conversations with Ray; he is is kind and so knowledgeable, about the sites as well as the history. He also showed us a few local spots (great coffee!) that I doubt a regular tour company would know about. Every time we stopped, Ray offered to take great photos of us, and also gave us time to just spend alone. Even the place we stopped for lunch was just one of our favorite spots of our whole trip. The private tour with Ray was our absolute favorite day in Cape Town, and we credit Ray for that. We highly recommend booking any tours you have in mind with Ray and Bukuru!
Ray was amazing guide! We got to see so much and even got to pet a seal. His knowledge of everything is unmatched.
Awesome Excursion to the Peninsula. Just request for Ray he will give you the best tour. Good value for money. We saw Ostriches, Baboons, penguins, seals and much more. Food is great too.
My wife and I booked a private tour to the Cape of Good Hope. Our Guide Ray was fabulous. He knew the history of every stop. He was able to customise the itinerary for us and he made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. He made a reservation for us for lunch at a good restaurant. We had an awesome day with Ray. We definitely coming next year for the winelands with Bukuru Travel.
My husband and I visited Cape Town for 4 days. Before departing, I booked the Cape of Good Hope and penguin viewing private day trip. There weren't many reviews, but they were all positive. Therefore, I decided to take a chance on them. I am pleased to say it was the PERFECT choice! Punctual, Ray picked us up at our guest house, telling us Cape Town's history as we drove through the city. His vehicle was clean, roomy, and Ray's driving was impeccable. We saw all that we had planned to see and more. Ray made the day with his easy going, sense of humor, and positive attitude. We were able to spend as much time as we desired, so we saw Chapman's Peak, Boulder's Beach, Cape of Good Hope and so much more. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a second private tour two days later that included the giraffe park, wine country and cheetah outreach. We left CT to continue on safari, but we now know that we have a friend in Ray any time we visit CT. I HIGHLY recommend a trip with Bukuru Travel. The trips are personal, affordable and lots of fun!
Thank you again to Wilson, our guide for a wonderful day!! He was attentive, listening to us and told us some great stories😉
