During the lockdown period 2021/22 i badly needed to occupy all my faculties in remaining healthy. I consider myself fortunate in having been introduced to Patrick Hendricks who took me on general tours two years in a row. With returning in 2026 i was certain i wanted to have a revival while wanting to show a friend of mine around climbing Lion Mountain with clear skies.

From the start our guide Samuel made us feel so welcome. The drive through Chapman's Peak Drive is something I will never forget , every corner is a postcard. Then we reached Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, so wild and beautiful. We had enough time for photos, walking, and just enjoying nature without rushing. We finished at Boulders Beach to see the penguins up close, such cute little creatures! The whole tour was well organised, safe, and full of interesting stories about Cape Town.
This 5 hr tour efficiently covered the penguin beach at Simon's Town, Cape Point, and Cape of Good Hope. Beautiful!
Beautiful Sceneries and a Breath of Relaxation filled Air lol
We had limited time and this afternoon tour was an excellent experience enhanced by Patrick our friendly and knowledgeable guide.

He also helped us to find more fun stuff to do in cape town, aswell as telling us about resturants in the area we where staying We would highly recommend this experience!
We took a private half day tour to Cape Point via Boulders Beach to see the Cape Peguins. Our host Patrik was excellent, extremely knowledgeable and constantly providing a commentary of the sights during the tour.
Fantastic guide called Patrick a fountain of knowledge Charming and polite, nothing a problem to give you the best experience
Such an amazing experience it was! Patrick our tour guide was very welcoming and informative! He gave us alot of information about each and every part of the trip.. We enjoyed alot! A highly recommended tour when in cape town!
Our Guide Patrick knowes so much about history and animals and plants in general and especially in the Cape Natural Park. We had a 2-person private Tour with him and it was great! Absolutely recommandable!
Our family engaged Patrick (Cape Escape Tours) for two days, as we were brand new to Cape Town. The first morning, he guided us expertly through the beautiful and expansive Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. From there, we drove south, down the False Bay coastal highway to the town of Kalk Bay. He took us first to the fish docks, where we saw the fresh catch (and seals awaiting scraps) as well as salted snoek fish drying in the sun. Next, he took us to Kalk Bay’s nearby beach-front town, and gave us our space to shop in the mixture of antique shops and beach boutiques. We met at the Brass Bell, a delicious restaurant separated from the breakers by tidal lap-pools. My wife and I enjoyed beer and wine with our lunch, while Patrick responsibly abstained. After lunch we continued down the coast to the Boulder Beach penguin colony, and then finally to the Cape of Good Hope lighthouse. While the sites and scenery were inherently beautiful and fascinating, Patrick’s historical and ecological commentary gave depth and meaning to a day of sightseeing. For our second day we requested a short spin through Bo-Kaap, and then a trip through wine country. For this, Patrick, a Frenchman, was a natural. After a colorful stroll through Bo-Kaap, we drove to the beautiful, ancient town of Stellenbosch, full of Dutch architecture and luxury shopping. After exploring for an hour or two, we regrouped with Patrick and drove to the nearby Delaire-Graff Estate for a wine tasting. We enjoyed Patrick’s company at the tasting table, but again he responsibly abstained. From there, Patrick drove us to the quaint and historical town of Franschhoek for lunch and wine in a delicious French restaurant. Patrick regrouped with us after lunch and he returned us to our Cape Town hotel, discussing history and current events along the way. We really appreciate Patrick’s knowledge, judgment and professionalism, and genuinely enjoyed his company and friendship. He provided us with a great exposure to the country around Cape Town.
The drive out was beautiful. Patrick was very informative and a pleasure to converse with. Once in a lifetime experience. The weather was great. Views fantastic. TIP hold on to your hat. The wind is wicked
We had a wonderful time visiting, the trip to Cape point was great our guide was great had a beautiful moment for sure we wont forget.
Informative guide who took us to see the main sights. Was done at our leisure and adapted to suit our needs
The area is amazing and I really enjoyed the stops and the conversation with Frank, my guide. Felt more like a day out with an old friend than a tour - which is what I prefer!
Muizenberg and Chapmans peak drive on way back. The guide Patrick was very knowledgeable and very nice. He is an excellent tour guide. Highly recommend him.
Had a great half day with Patrick as we made our way down to Cape Point and back via Boulder's Beach (penguins). Patrick kept us well informed along the way and adjusted to our timing at the various stops. He was kind, professional and provided lots of insights. Communication to set up the tour was prompt and pick up at hotel was right on time. Although we did not need it, Patrick offers other tours that people may not know about such as hiking up Lions Head or mountain biking. All in all an enjoyable tour, we recommend.
Patrick- I don’t think I’ve ever had a guide this knowledgeable. It was a long day but it seemed to fly by with his conversation. He was early and we never felt rushed. Highly recommend him.
Excellent trip! The guide shared so much knowledge and history about the different locations visited.
Patrick was a fantastic driver and host for the day. He had so much knowledge over a wide variety of topics. This trip was beautiful! You are in the car quite a bit so bring snacks if you are a hungry person. Even though in the car a lot, the views are spectacular! Would highly recommend this and Patrick
We had an excellent trip to the Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point and this was enhanced by Patrick who proved to be an excellent guide. He adapted the tour to satisfy our interests and overall we had a great day. I would highly recommend both the tour and Patrick our guide. They both merited five stars
Our guide, Patrick, was knowledgeable, entertaining, warm, and energetic. He was a wonderful guide, and we highly recommend Patrick and this great tour of the Cape Point Nature Reserve and a Table Mountain National Park.
Great driver, Patrick. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was a great way to the the Cape and at a good pace. Thank you
Patrick our guide was fantastic. Half day afternoon tour took us down the East side of the cape, thru the park and back out thru the West side and Chapman peak. Plenty of photo stops as well and a few surprises like seeing baboons crossing the street for another cool photo opportunity. On the way back we also got a great dinner recommendation at Victoria and Alfred marina, try Den Anker restaurant.
We had a superior travel day to Cape Point with our driver and guide, Patrick........he was friendly, a great driver, and a wealth of information......it all made for a memorable day.
Fantastic trip. Our guide, Patrick, was the best guide we have had in the last month. Highly recommended.
This tour way amazing and Frank exceeded all our expectations!!! We learned and saw so many places in just 5 hours. He is so knowledgeable and I felt like I learned so much! Highly recommend for anyone coming to Cape Town!
My wife and I very much enjoyed our afternoon Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point tour on Saturday October 22nd ! Our tour guide Frank picked us up at the Lagoon Beach Hotel right on time and proceeded to give us a well informed and enjoyable tour around the Cape peninsula with stops along the way to take some incredible photographs ! Frank was very considerate and attentive to our needs. We learned quite a bit of local history from Frank on the tour ! Overall both my wife and I agreed that it was the best tour we took on our one week trip to Cape Town.
Patrick was so friendly and knowledgeable (and a good photographer to boot!) - he gave us such a great insight into life in Cape Town, the animals and flora of the region, as well as the food! We had great luck seeing animals in the reserve & had no queue to take a picture at the Copa of Good Hope. It was great having the flexibility of a private tour as we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted in each place- and we had perfect timing to catch a beautiful sunset at Haut Bay as we returned to the city.
Patrick was a great tour guide! Nice to have a private tour and go at our own pace. It was the perfect amount of time to see the Cape of Good Hope.
We had the most amazing tour guide called Patrick, he very knowledgable, friendly and courteous1 We couldn't have asked for a better guide, he made our afternoon tour unforgettable!!! This trip is a must for anyone visiting Cape Town!
Patrick was an excellent driver and guide who offered in depth experience about the local culture, sights and animals. I’d definitely recommend his services.
Patrick is one of the best tour guides we have ever had and it was one of the best tours we have had. A lot of interesting facts, lots of learning, interesting conversation. We saw a lot and had an amazing day! Thank you so so much! If in doubt, book. You won’t regret it!!!
We could not recommend this tour and Patrick enough. This comprehensive tour is expertly lead by Patrick who is incredibly knowledgable on the area. The trips takes you to see the penguins and then onto the Cape of Good Hope. Along the way Patrick is telling you about the route and often things you’d never know without a local taking you around. The drive back from Cape of Good Hope provides the most stunning of views. If you’re considering booking a tour like this don’t hesitate, it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Patrick was phenomenal. We went on a guided hike to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Along the way he provided us with informative commentary about the flora and fauna. We also visited the Boulder Beach Penguin Colony. Incredible! Patrick was patient, very friendly and accommodating - He even helped us make reservations for post-hike spa treatments. Highly recommend this tour and guide!
Very knowledgeable guide and very friendly, been everywhere and seen everything, it was a great day!
I loved Patrick’s I formation and how he tells his stories. He’s very knowledgeable about South Africa, the culture, and knows his way around so well! I’ll be recommending him to everyone!
Wonderful tour. Our driver and guide Patrick was very knowledgable and new a lot about the various sites we visited as well as a good grasp of history. The views from scapegoat point were fantastic. The penguins at Boulders we’re worth seeing.
Patrick is a great guide. He knows so much about country and people. He was very responsive to the wishes eg for photos. We were lucky and saw not only the many penguins in the national park but also ostriches and antelopes as well as an olive snake and baboons. For us it was a perfect last afternoon.
We made 3 excursions with Patrick and have unforgettable memories. A huge thank you for your knowledge of the place and your kindness 😊
J'ai été impressionnée par la quantité de pingouins dans cette zone et par le fait qu'ils soient très à l'aise dans ce superbe coin de nature.
This tour is a must if you are in Cape Town. Within an afternoon we discovered wonderful beaches and landscapes, watched the penguins bathe, visited the Lighthouse, the Cape of Good Hope and much more. And all this with a professional and personable guide (Patrick).
Absolut lohnenswerter Trip!
