Big 5 Game Reserve Sunset Safari

Was a great gift that my wife gave us, i and kids to experiment wild animal in real life so thank you to TOS travel and tours to organised our safari

This tour did not happen, but not before the tour company had all the participants waiting for pickup for over a half hour with no communication. I finally reached out to them after I had not been picked up for almost an hour and only then did I receive a message that the tour was cancelled because the Guide had been involved in a car accident on his way to fetch everyone so the van was out of commission. They had rebooked for the next day, but I was already booked for a different tour the next day so I just missed out having traveled from New Zealand to SA. I can understand weather cancellations or park closures, but to just not have a back-up van/driver is not cool. DO NOT BOOK with this company. They were terrible at communicating and they didn't even offer a refund, I had to submit through Tripadvisor a request.

Enoch Lokwa was a great guide. He was very patient when we had to reschedule due to issues with our cruise ship. We were very lucky to see elephants, lions, hippos, and rhinos. Unfortunately we had bad weather but apparently that’s when you get to see the hippos walking around so it worked out!

Nothing to see very few animals 2hours from cape town for few animlas that you can see in any zoo very over priced

The experience was great, Enoch, our guide, was very friendly and helpful with all matters. The animal reserve is very big and could host more animals.

The actual tour was fantastic and our driver , Enoch Mukidi lokwa, was superb!!! However, we had booked a sunset tour months earlier and we're confirmed but two days prior we were changed to the day tour which is more expensive and possibly less likely to see all of the animals. It worked out fi e for us, but it seemed very unprofessional.

everything was excellent, it was close with Cape Town and the guide was fabulous!

Although this is a game reserve rather than a traditional safari, the sunset drive was an absolutely incredible experience. Seeing the Big Five at such close range was unforgettable, and our guide’s knowledge seemed endless — every question was answered with insight and enthusiasm. The highlight for me was watching the elephants washing themselves in the pond; it was a truly special moment and something I’ll never forget. If you’re in two minds about whether to do this experience, do it — you won’t be disappointed.

I went on a safari for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing! Enoch was a fantastic tour guide he got us to the safari safely, made sure everyone was well looked after throughout the day, and always checked that we were comfortable and okay. At the end, he even drove us back and dropped everyone off right outside their hotels. Such a great experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend Enoch!

Aquila Game Reserve was a wonderful experience. The Reserve is massive and the lodge is just lovely. We saw 4 out of 5 of the Big 5 on a half day safari! I highly recommend Aquila Game Reserve!

Such a fun and wonderful experience to share with my mom. The lions woke up for us and were great to see in person. The elephants and zebra and buffalo were awesome too! What a joy. And Enouch our tour guide was a wonderful driver and had great knowledge of Cape Town.

It was absolutely amazing. One of the best experiences I’ve had in South Africa. I did it solo but my guide Enoc made me feel comfortable through out. Would definitely recommend 10/10❤️

Don’t go. Our “sunset tour was in the middle of the day. You won’t get what you pay for. Viator didn’t bother to pay for a park truck so when we got there we had to go early and pay an unexpected premium for another truck. We had to be back in time for our drivers to take out another group on a REAL sunset tour. That meant we only got 90 minutes instead of 2 hours. We should have just went to a zoo

While our guide, Enoch, was friendly and knowledgeable, Tos Travels really let our group down AND charged extra to do so. In short, the 2 hr trip too and from was in a POORLY air conditioned bus (aka a sauna). Next, Tos had not made a reservation at the Reserve for the 12 of us so Reserve was surprised to see us! Tos was NO help but our guide wrangled us into the Reserve (booked full) BUT we each paid $87 MORE and tour was NOT at Sunset. Reserve was very cool but I am sure there are more reliable companies to hire

Dear Friends , Yesterday We did not have to time to send our complaint. It has been a terrible experience, the tour guide send us a message that he will be at 10.30 instead of 12.20 at 10 am so we had to run to be on time. Once we arrived he ask us to wait and when he returned like 45 minutes he told us that we had yo pay more for the entrance fee it was supposed to be 1090.00 for the sunset tour of 3 hrs and end paying 1477.00 for only 1 1/2 hrs tour and obviously no sunset tour. What type of company are you . You offer one thing and then your tour guide says that it only transportation . That is not what you advertise. Apart from the ripoff from the company The park has only 1 Lion 3 Lionesses 2 giraffes 3 elephants The most they have ate cebras And rinocerontes I will not recommend you any one. Honestly, this was the worst tour we have booked during our travels over the past five years. The only saving grace of this outing was Enoch who tried his best to make the most of a trip that his company should have canceled. To begin with, we got a text letting us know that we needed to meet an hour earlier than the arranged pickup time, which started the day on a stressful note. Then, we drove two hours in a crowded and uncomfortable van with broken AC to arrive at the reserve where things got confusing and rushed. We were told that the sunset safari that we booked was sold out but that our guide had arranged for a private safari which would cost us 200 Rand more per person, but was actually 400 Rand more per person (almost $50). Instead of a multi-hour sunset tour, we paid extra for a rushed 1.5 hour tour (thankfully, the reserve guide was amazing) and were then rushed back into the van with no time for browsing souvenirs and drove almost three hours in a sweltering hot van back to the port in Cape Town. I arrived back drenched in sweat and with a pounding headache and wondering why on earth we paid so much for a miserable ride to and from the reserve for a more expensive afternoon tour. I realize Enoch was trying to avoid making it a 5 hour can ride with no safari, but it was truly an awful experience and a big disappointment. Don’t waste your time or money.

We paid for a sunset tour that took place in the middle of the day. You didn’t schedule a park truck to be available so when we arrived at Aquila we had to take a private truck and got told we had to pay an additional premium for it. Then the driver told us that he had to have the truck back by 4:30pm so that meant we only got 90 minutes instead of 2 hours. You also put Anoch in a terrible position. We only had one chance to do this tour and you ruined it for us. We should have went with another company that would have given us what we paid for. We are demanding a full refund for the way that you ruined our day. You really need to make this right for us.

Its a 2hr drive to the reserve but our van had no perceptible air conditioning. A 4hr sauna. Then the tour company didn’t make a reservation for us at the Reserve and it was chaos. But our guide, Enoch, was a real trooper.

Is was a marvelous trip for us. We were able to see some of the big 5s at close range. We were very well taken care of by our guide Enoch.

We took pictures for our memories with seen the mountain that ends south Africa and the tour man was explained for us every one was understand the language

Top safari experience! Everything was perfectly organized and absolutely impressive. I would particularly like to highlight Enoch – the transfer and the accompaniment from him were simply first-class. Very friendly, reliable and competent. Anytime again!

Unfortunately, no one showed up at the pickup. The hotel was also not notified although this should have been done. Unfortunately, this is probably happening more and more as friends have experienced the same thing while kayaking where no one showed up. Unfortunately not a nice experience as the full day was planned for it. At customer service, no one responded and every phone number is death or issued. So don't even get help or support.

It was a very nice and exciting experience. We saw the Big Five and some other animals The lodge is magnificent.. Food, drink fantastic 😄 Our guide Enoch was great, he took great care of everything and drove the long distance very prudently and proactively.We were both alone with him in the car. You can recommend Enoch as well as the trip 100 percent. Thank you 😘

Mr. Enoch enjoyed talking with us, I was able to stay occupied along the way. Be careful about having one lunch after the safari.

The experience itself was amazing, with beautiful landscapes and lots of interesting animals! Our guide, who picked us up at the hotel, named Enoch, was exceptional, great professional and very well-humored! My family loved every aspect of the day!
