The ride on the beach was very special. The staff were friendly and the horses were awesome. We could walk, trot and gallop at full pace, and the whole experience was amazing. The horse ride was a brilliant experience. A great, experienced guide. A fantastic atmosphere. Yes, I fell off the horse, but it was my own fault, and everyone looked after me really well. So, thank you for the brilliant adventure😊😊

This was a highlight of our 2 week visit in South Africa. Dominique was absolutely fantastic , her farm is amazing . Me , my husband and our 8 year old daughter went on horse ride through the most beautiful surroundings, saw giraffes in the wild and ended up on the prettiest white beach . We are very much beginners to horse riding but managed 2.5 hours ! And what an experience that was ! One I will never forget ! Great and very supportive staff! Thank you !

Dominique and her crew are absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed 3 days of horse riding with them, including a fantastic beach ride (wow!) a safari ride including zebra and giraffes and many other animals and a horseback safari ride at Khwa ttu reserve with fantastic views and more incredible wildlife. (Followed by lovely meal in the restaurant ) The guides are incredible and looked after us so well. Dominique horses are all well cared for. We had the pleasure of riding the same horses for all 3 rides, which suited us perfectly. The horses were well mannered and responsive, and nicely sure footed! We both highly recommend riding here.

Dominique was lovely and the horses were beautiful, unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Unlike the previous reviewer we found the horses very unsettled & hard to manage (I have a fair amount of riding experience), they spent a large part of the ride trying to bite or kick each other and the guides had trouble controlling their own horses. Our 4 children with little or no riding experience were unable to prevent their horses from bolting at different points in the ride. Towards the end the guide lost the leading reign for my 9yr old and his horse bolted with him through trees causing him to be knocked out by the branches. I would not recommend this for inexperienced or very young riders.

Place is at a fantastic location close to a huge magnificent beach and in the middle of a small nature reserve. The horses are very well taken care of, fit and extremely well trained and easy to ride. Denzel, my guide for the day was super friendly, helpful and competent and manged to find Mama Giraffe with her few week old offspring for me (hidden behind a bush - yes Giraffes can do that! ;- ) ) . I enjoyed my time on Pavarotti very much (no, he didn't sing.. )

This was a fabulous experience! The team were great and very patient. We were a mixed party, with one experienced rider and one who had never sat on a horse before! But our guide made us both feel very comfortable and safe. Beautiful place, beautiful horses and beautiful memories, thank you so much!

Amazing, got to see a few animals, having never rides horse before, I was rather nervous but was put at ease from the off. The guide was super helpful and easy to get along with very knowledgeable.

Horse riding with „West Coast Horse Trails“ was one of the highlights of our holidays here in the West Cape! Beautiful landscape, excellent ride on the beach. With enough accompanying riders, the group split up so the experienced riders could enjoy a long gallop along the shore. A dream come true! We even spotted a giraffe, gnus and eland on the way back to the lodge.

Had a lovely time, they match you with horses according to skill level and the farm & beach was stunning! Loved our guide, thank you Emile :)

We had a beautiful ride at the beach and then went into the national park to see more wildlife. Our instructors were so sweet and included all of our personal wishes!

What an incredible experience! My 10 year old daughter and I have wanted to do a beach ride since she started riding 2 years ago. She loved her first gallop along the pristine empty beach, I loved riding through a herd of zebra and cantering along the dunes. It was so perfect and relaxing. Our guide, Emile, was a superstar. Definitely recommend.

The instructors were excellent and it was amazing to bond with the horses and exploring the other wildlife

This was a lot of fun!! Especially since it was really too cold to go swimming. Dominique warned us to get a driver who would stay and wait for us as it’s very far out and would not be able to get a ride back. We got to ride through the reserve to the beach and so we got the best of both worlds. We went in the morning. Would not recommend booking and afternoon tour afterwards. Wish we had actually done a sunset ride. Overall, great experience!

What an incredible experience!! Dominique and Aneel were so patient with us. Communication before the ride and during the ride was brilliant. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a different experience visiting the longest beach in South Africa.

We had an amazing day horseback riding by the incredible beach !! Also saw some animals, giraffes,goats water buffalo. Missed the zebras but was a magical experience. Highly recommend this excursion!!

My guide “Denzel” was the best, the views on the beach was stunning ! All of the horses are beautiful, healthy and look to be well taken care of. I was lucky to be the only one on the tour at my 11:45am time slot, so I had the opportunity to take plenty of photos and videos ! Definitely recommend

Travelled form the Bahamas & booked my ride before the air b n b. I had THE most wonderful ride and experience! I can not recommend enough. Loved it & thank you for a fabulous day out.

Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest we had an absolute ball of a time. The horses loved my wife and I, and we loved them. The service from the riders who attended the safari with us was top quality as the picnic was a perfect little break in between the riding. Me and my wife absolutely loved this and would recommend it highly, ESPECIALLY during the flower season.

It was a fantastic ride and Dominique was great… We haven’t been on horseback for more than 30 years, so Jenny was a bit apprehensive, but the horses were great with us.

The booking was easy and straightforward, and directions to the Blombosch Farm were clear. The one hour + drive from Cape Town Central was really well worth it. The horses are well cared for, and I felt safe and secure and cared for during the whole duration of the ride. The beach gallop was incredible. We kept saying we would do a controlled canter but we just ended up gunning for it.

Our ride was rained out on the day we were supposed to go but Dominique accommodated us as soon as the weather was good enough to ride. She matched the whole experience to our riding ability which made us feel safe on her lovely horses. Riding at sunset was the best experience ever!! It was incredibly beautiful and the bonus was seeing some giraffe and buck on the way back from the beach. If you enjoy breathing in clean sea air, being in nature, watching the sun set over the ocean through storm clouds and having a little adventure, this is highly recommended. Definitely the highlight of our weekend!!

when we pulled in you could see the giraffe in the distance coming in. The trail was great. The beach had alot of kelp washed up, but we went around it. Horses were not deadbeat trail horses so we enjoyed the challenge of actually riding not just following. there were my sister and i and a leader and follow up guide who opened a few gates. they were terrific people. professional ranch, clean and neat, equipment was good, horses were better kept than most trail horses with many for them to pick from based onyour ability. we did a little trotting and a little cantering. Its a long ride from Cape Town, but they arranged a driver, who waited the two hours we were gone and took us back to the water front area. Well worth the price if you want to ride a beach. Was on our bucket list and we very much enjoyed it.

Beautiful trail and sense of freedom. I had Robbie who was rather very lazy. Next time I'd like to ride a more fiesty horse. Thank you for allowing me to feed the horse and just mingle with the other horses. Truly awesome experience. Also with we had seen some animals. Shout out to Emeal!!!

My 9 year old and husband rode today and had an amazing time! She galloped for the first time and on the most beautiful beach. Dominique very kindly took lots of videos and photos which she shared with us afterwards. Highly recommend, a really fantastic experience:)

Die Tour war der Wahnsinn. Wir waren zu zweit mit zwei Guides, sind über drei Stunden geritten, sind viel galoppiert und getrabt und hatten ein tolles Picknick. Zum Schluss haben wir dann noch Giraffen und Zebras gesehen. Wir konnten nicht fassen, wie günstig dieser Ausflug ist, verglichen mit dem tollen Programm, welches uns geboten wurde. Ich kann diese Tour nur empfehlen. Für mich war es das absolute Highlight von unserem Kapstadt Aufenthalt.
