I would highly recommend this kayaking adventure. Our guides were super friendly, and fun. The views from the sea are beautiful, and we saw dolphins, penguins, and seals. I went solo and was paired up with a guy from Germany and had a great time.

A great experience morning kayaking in the bay, saw plenty of dolphins and penguins. Guides were extremely friendly and helpful.
The kayak tour itself was really enjoyable and well-supported on the water, with plenty of staff keeping an eye on the group. The “main” guide is handsome! The dolphins definitely made the experience unforgettable—they came super close to our kayaks, jumping and playing right next to us! > That said, the arrival experience could use some improvement. When I got there, the shop was closed, ( tip: please leave a “Be back in 15min” note or something) and as staff trickled in, nobody wore uniforms or identification, so it was hard to tell who worked there. THERE WAS NO greeting or introduction, not even a simple "HELLO”! > It’s a young team and they did a great job out on the water, but a warm welcome and clearer check-in would make the start of the tour feel much more inviting.
Booked 2 events and both cancelled about an hour ago without reason seems like overbooking. Disappointed
The Atlantic Outlook Kayak Tour was absolutely amazing! Friendly guides, top-notch gear, and breathtaking views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic. Saw wildlife up close and learned so much about the area. Perfect for beginners and pros alike—truly a must-do experience in Cape Town!
Would highly recommend was a great experience and the guides very friendly. Only feedback I would give is there wasn't really any co-ordination to keep everyone togethor and we found ourselves way behind everyone else. Would have been more enjoyable had more effort been taken to keep us all togethor as we spent a lot of time panicking and trying to row faster rather than enjoy the experience.
This was such an amazing experience and I can’t recommend it enough! - Our tour guide, David, was so welcoming. You can see the passion the team has and their love for the dolphins. - The dolphins were so incredibly cute and active, I got a couple of jumping videos! They swam right next to my kayak, I think I could’ve touched them if I tried. - Their meeting point is in an underground parking area, so you don’t even need to worry about parking in the city (massive bonus). Seriously worth doing!
Amazing experience kayaking with the dolphins (within 5 minutes), seals and even penguins! Had never kayaked before but felt safe with the team / group and quickly picked it up - the modified boats making it easier to steer and balance… weather will also play a part in this but would trust the teams judgement. Very relaxed once out at sea and not too strenuous, an absolute must if in Cape Town.
I had a wonderful kayaking experience with Atlantic Outlook! The guides were professional and made sure everyone knew what to expect on the trip. Happy also gave a lot of interesting information about the marine life. We had an amazing time with plenty of dolphins around us and saw scores of thousands of cormorants flying and feeding.
We loved the tour! The view is great and we got to see dolphins and penguins 🐧 The guides were great and we had an amazing time!
Great day out! I was paired up with Natasha as I was solo. She was a great guide and we even chatted about different surf spots in Cape Town on our kayak 🤙
Sadly we visited in October & this was postponed several times throughout our stay due to the weather & we we're unable to do the experience before leaving however the team were great at communication, informative & friendly. Would absolutely look to book again if we return.
Great energy and knowledge with historical moments captured, great photography from Andy and to top off a brilliant morning we spotted Dolphins!
Definitely a must go! Me and my wife decided to go just after we arrived in Cape Town from Brasil. So we could see the town from afar and begin the trip with the right foot. And I must say it was definitely amazing! We got to see a lot of wildlife (a seal having a meal, some dolphins having fun, a ton of jellyfishes and a whole lot of birds. Of course we got very lucky to get to see all those animals, but we just loved the whole experience. The staff was amazing - helping with everything and the equipment was pristine. We absolutely recommend the experience!
Business run by some young guys who are sincerely cool. Great ambience! We saw plenty of dolphins, few penguins and even a seal jumping in the sea. Wonderful!! Everything with some lounge music played by the David on its kayak
Professional set up and good equipment. A steady paddle in the bay and we saw Seals, Dolphins and a Penguin. It’s a great activity with teens and a good way to see some wildlife in the city.
Absolutely magical experience! Such a professional team, and the best of luck was on our side, with an absolutely glass-smooth sea. We had dolphins jumping, penguins swimming, a seal chilling in the sea and we rowed through hundreds of jellyfish.
The coaches were really nice and it was no problem for me as a solo traveller as I got paired with another visitor. We saw the dolphins at really close sight it was amazing
BOOK EARLY ON IN YOUR TRIP! This incredible experience was one of my favorites in Cape Town. It got rescheduled twice though because of weather so make sure you book early in your trip so you can reschedule if needed. Recommend booking in the mornings for the most dolphin sitings. They were so close and so friendly, jumping and swimming all over! We also saw penguins and a seal. The kayaks have foot pedal steering and are 2 to a kayak. Paddling isn’t too strenuous at all, but wear a bathing suit because though you don’t end up in the water, you do end up sitting in a chilly pool of water from your own splashing. Lockers available to hold your things while you’re on the water. Unbeatable views from the water and the guides do a great job of taking photos and videos of everyone. You can take your phone with you worry free and keep it in the pouch of your life jacket. I also had my GoPro but didn’t really feel like I needed it. Andy and everyone were awesome guides. Can’t go wrong booking this once in a lifetime experience!
Great experience and we were lucky to have a baby dolphin swim among us. The location is slightly difficult to fin as the directions on Viator are wrong. The pick up location or meeting point is on the ground floor of the multi story car park.
Laid back paddle around beautiful coastlines . Chilled out but knowledgeable instructors , dolphins everywhere
It was so much fun and the instructors were amazing! I felt safe the whole time, especially since I usually don’t do such risky things. I prefer stable land lol
What a wonderful way to start our new year! A very professionally run outfit, that made sure that we had the best experience.
We saw playing dusky dolphins not far away:) Next time I´m in Cape Town I will join you again! Greetings from Germany!
The guides were all brilliant and the whole session was really relaxed. The kayaks were very stable and easy to paddle and steer (with feet pedals controlling a rudder). We saw a few dolphins up really close, which was a real treat. Highly recommend this activity.
This was one of my most memorable excursions! Firstly, it was very well organised and I was the beneficiary of endless patience - I can't read a map to save my life and so was late to the meet up. Although I was travelling solo, I was part of a lovely group of people and our guides were incredibly hospitable and cool! We spotted some dolphins and penguins in the water and the whole experience was surreal. We weren't rushed and at some point stopped paddling for just sat back in the water and enjoyed the experience. A 'vibe' as a the cool kids say. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I definitely plan on doing this again when I return to CPT.
If you're a kayaker looking for an actual kayak session this isn't the tour for you. It was a short kayak out which worked with the size of the group and varying experience and abilities, BUT, we thoroughly enjoyed it as we saw seals, dolphins and a Southern right whale breaching. Making it a trip to remember!
Had a lovely few hours kayaking. The guides were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We saw dolphins literally 20 ft away, jumping out of the water and playing. It was value for money
Wonderful time kayaking with the dolphins. Great bunch of guys leading the business. Thanks for a fun time.
Wonderful enthusiastic guides, especially helpful when one of us was new to kayaking. Really stable kayaks, despite the big waves. Got to see dolphins in the distance and a sunfish up close. Would love to do something like this again.
Incredible experience, the guys instructing us were very good, and we saw dolphins. Very good value for money, I highly recommend it
Wow! What an amazing experience! We were lucky to have chosen the perfect day for it. Not a breath of wind and the water was like glass. Saw plenty wildlife and the tour itself is not difficult, so any fitness level can do it. The guides were amazing, created such a great energy on the tour. Would HIGHLY recommend to do as a solo, couple, friends or family experience.
It was an amazing experience. The guides are great and friendly. They are very helpful and you can tell that they are passionate about what they are doing. They also didn't hassle about providing you with pictures and you can even ask them to take a few of yourselves. Bring along sunglasses and sunscreen and a change of clothes. Bring along some stamina as well because it it does take some effort to get around. An all round great experience and I will definitely be doing it again.
It was nice, my kids enjoyed it. It takes almost 2 hours if you are doing it for the first time, but it’s easier to get the hang of it.
My spouse and I rented a tandem bicycle from this group as we have always wanted to try it out. it was so much fun. We cycled all he way past Camps Bay. Lovely day for it too. Staff were amazing. Will definitely go back and try the kayaking next time.
We had a lovely morning out in the ocean, Jordan and the guys were super helpful. I would highly recommend this if you're looking to see the city from a different angle.
We had to reschedule due to bad ocean swells. But everything was conducted easily and well. Unfortunately i was unable to attend the rescheduled date, but look forward to rebooking in the future.
Tried to get in touch with the operator before hand as the weather conditions did not look good but heard nothing. Decided to go anyway as we had not heard anything, but when we arrived there was no one to be seen from the operator. We bumped into another couple in the exact same situation.
It was an amazing experience with dolphins swimming next to our kayak. The guide was very friendly and they didn't overwhelm or underwhelm with their conversation -- it was just right.
Had such an amazing time with the Atlantic Outlook team, they were all so friendly, upbeat and really made the whole experience really memorable! Would recommend if your a lover of water!
It was incredible. There were also dolphins and seals in the ocean next to us whilst we were kayaking
This is great for a basic / holiday visit who just wants a relaxed paddle to enjoy the scenery which is spectacular. For more bespoke paddles for the more experienced paddler, I suggest calling and making a separate event.
The views and dolphins were amazing. Friendly guides and awesome vibes. Would definitely recommend….
The most friendliest staff ever! We were 10 minutes late trying to find our way in Cape Town, however was still given a quick catch up by the instructor and continuous check ins by the instructors out on the water. Very chilled vibes. You’ll find marine life out there and beautiful views of Table Mountain. Tip - the 7am slot is amazing, the water is calm and you’ll be able to spot dolphins.
Perfect conditions, fabulous crew and extremely well organised! (It would be great to receive the photos from the day)
We had an incredible time on the water with Atlantic Outlook. From the get go they were fun, accommodating and friendly. Our first trip was postponed due to strong winds, and while it was disappointing it was comforting to know they would choose our safety over money. We rescheduled and had the most unbelievable time. We saw dolphins and seals, and were so at peace on the water. The staff were great and extremely helpful in every way! I highly highly recommend!
An amazing and thoroughly enjoyable experience for 5 friends visiting Cape Town from London… Conditions in Table Bay on the day- we were told were perfect, so we paddled out fairly deep and we’re rewarded with Dusky Dolphins, Heaviside’s dolphins and seals plying around our kayaks. The instructors were knowledgeable, totally professional and super friendly - so much so we invited them for a beer afterwards and enjoyed chatting some more! If you’re visiting Cape Town and fancy kayaking- trust me, this is where to go!
AMAZING ✨💖 such a beautiful, raw experience. We are nature and adventure lovers so it was perfect for us.
Guys are cool. But in general it wasn’t organized well. We experienced kayak tour with other company and can compare. Price is more or less the same but more benefits with other company. I will not use Atlantic service any more.
Everything was great from beginning to end. A fabulous experience. Staff were friendly and very helpful and made the experience that much more fun.
