Overall Rating is 5/5. It was a great experience that we bring home from Cape Town and Garden Route. I must admit that Denver, Daryl and special big G (Gerard) did a great job! I am so happy that we made it to the Table Top!!! Thanks to Big G who did not give up to the last minute. Bo-Kaap has become the Bonus ☺️ Everything happened as we have planned from day 1 until we board. Thank you so much, and until we meet again 👌 Cheers, Evelyn, and the group

Itinerary
Day 1
1
This 7day tour combines a 5-day Garden Route tour and 2 day tours near the Cape Town region. Subject to availability your combo package may start with the 5day or a day tour first. If you join the 5 day tour your morning pickup transfer service start between 6am to about 8am (subject to your exact address) from your accommodation in Cape Town to reach the Garden Route area by afternoon. Please Note > This day-by-day itinerary serves as a guideline as your trip may need to run in reverse or a different order based on seasonal or operational availability.
Early morning pick up from your accommodation in Cape Town CBD or Stellenbosch (usually between 6 to 8am, subject to traffic and your drop-off address.) You can receive your pickup time a day before. Start this epic road trip journeying along the ever-changing scenery on your first day’s drive from Cape Town to the Southern Cape. Wind your way through mountain passes and get ready for the Route 62, modelled after famous America’s Route 66, but with a distinctly local flavour and known as the longest wine route in the world. The Route 62 is more than just a leisurely drive – showcasing local culture, food, larger-than-life local characters and world-class wines. Wine lovers will be in their element with a Wine Tasting pit stop to sample some of the local produce about midway to your overnight stop.
Complete the day with a journey through the landscape of rugged plains and towering cliffs to reach Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, situated in the semi-desert Klein Karoo.
You’ll spend the evening here at leisure in this countryside town of Oudtshoorn. Your guide can help you book a restaurant or join the backpacker's group to taste local delights, such as ostrich "sosaties" (kebabs) and "pot brood" (bread cooked on open flames) at this optional 'braai' barbecue experience at extra cost. Enjoy a peaceful evening relaxing at your accommodation around a crackling fire or under the vast twinkling starry night sky. === Accommodation included - subject to availability and stay package option selected: Saver/Dorm> Uthando Backpackers, 3*Comfort > 88 Baron van Reede guesthouse, 4*Luxe > Hlangana Lodge (ask to upgrade to Buffelsdrift)
Day 2
2
Wake up in Oudsthoorn, where the ostrich reigns supreme. If you haven’t picked it up from the bird-filled paddocks and farms lining the highway or the colourful feather stalls on the way to town centre, you will from the many show farm signs and the palatial sandstone homesteads that hark back to an era when ostrich feathers were worth more than gold.
Head to the mountains to delve deep underground to the magical Cango Caves’ limestone chambers, alive with drip formation stalactites and stalagmites and remnants of Khoikhoi paintings. Opt for the easy-going Heritage Tour to test the cave’s acoustics and gain insights your guide provides into the formation and dripstone evolution. By contrast, the Adventure Tour (if available - may be closed if flooded) allows would-be contortionists to squeeze, twist and wiggle their way through limestone chimneys on a rather more adventurous underground route. On route to your next stop, you’ll pass through Karoo country to a small-town gem. Visit a charming “padstal”-inspired restaurant and sample proudly South African cuisine as on a special local-treats-taster menu, handmade with love, featuring traditional dishes like “bobotie", “roosterbrood", “koeksisters", and “melktert". You’re invited to appreciate a real taste of our tradition, served with heart and heritage.
As you journey to the world-renowned Greater Addo Region the dusty plains of the Klein Karoo morphs into a greener horizon. This small citrus farming community lies in the Sundays River Valley surrounded by the Zuurberg Mountains that offer some spectacular hiking and game viewing in a malaria free area. Tonight you'll stay overnight close to Addo National Park, making it easy to be ready to go on safari first thing in the morning. === Accommodation included - subject to availability and stay package option selected: Dorm/Saver > Avoca Backpackers, 3* Comfort > Gerald's Gift Guesthouse, 4* Luxe > Addo Wildlife Lodge
Day 3
3
Rise early to visit Addo Elephant National Park to see wildlife as the bush awakes. Your guide will use local knowledge to pinpoint the whereabouts of the park’s big game animals while deftly navigating the maze of dusty dirt roads in search of some of the Big Five animals. You'll experience an included ±2 hour game drive in the tour bus. The original elephant section of the park was dedicated to providing a safe haven for the few wild elephants that survived government-sponsored culling in the early 20th century. The lush vegetation provides protection and a rich food source, supporting what is now the most densely populated area of wild elephants on the planet. This finely tuned ecosystem is a sanctuary to over 550 elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard, a variety of antelope and zebra and other species.
The early morning start means free time in the afternoon and J’Bay’s surf shop village – with its discount outlets – is perfect for shopaholics. But, if you’ve always fancied learning to surf (optional activity at own expense), then this town or the sand slopes beyond it are the places to try surfing or horseback ride on the beach (optional activity at own expense) or just chill out on the beach. You can rent surfboards and wetsuits for an additional fee. End the day with dinner at the backpackers accommodation or a night out to a local seafood delicacy restaurant, listening to the sounds of the waves lap against the shore. === Accommodation included - subject to availability and stay package option selected: Saver/Dorm > Island Vibe Backpacker, 3*Comfort > Sea Whisper Guesthouse, 4* Luxe > On The Beach
Day 4
4
Lush green landscapes and adventure go hand in hand on this adrenaline-packed day... from ziplining over gushing river gorges, breathtakingly-beautiful ocean and river views atop Bloukrans Bridge and exploring dense forests along suspension bridges and footpaths in Tsitsikamma National Park - today is all about the "garden" of the Garden Route! Calling all adrenalin junkies: get ready for the highest Bungy Bridge Jump in the world... Here, seemingly normal people hurtle face first down the 216m drop only to spring back up on their elastic cord like a yo-yo. So if you're feeling daring, why not face your fears and have a go? For a more relaxed thrill, try the optional Waterfall Ziplining through dramatic scenery and over waterfalls in the nearby Tsitsikamma forest. You’ll complete about five individual slides, zip over three waterfalls and slide down one impressive gorge.
For a more relaxed thrill, try the optional Waterfall Ziplining through dramatic scenery and over waterfalls in the nearby Tsitsikamma forest. You’ll complete about five individual slides, zip over three waterfalls and slide down one impressive gorge.
This region is a playground for the outdoors, and for those who'd prefer to keep their feet on solid ground a visit to the lush forests of the Tsitsikamma National Park is sure to provide your essential forest fix. From birding to game spotting and waterfall chasing; your Tsitsikamma to-do list will be absolutely jam-packed. A short but steep walk to Tsitsikamma’s suspension bridge is worth it for the views alone, but the abundant reptile and bird wildlife, secret waterfall and sandy beach is waiting to amaze and delight you along the forest footpaths.
As you head along the coastal belt, the paradise-like coastal towns show off and display why this region is a favourite with holiday goers and locals alike. Stop for the obligatory photo op at Knysna Heads, a pair of rocky sandstone cliffs on the edge of the lagoon, to drink in the exquisitely scenic lagoon views surrounded by ancient forests.
Spend the evening soaking in the slow town way of life in Sedgefield, Wilderness. Take a walk along the uninterrupted sandy beach shores at sunset, this place oozes serenity, the ideal way to reset your inner calm. After your recharged stroll check out the rustic beach restaurant if you are in Sedgefield or venture into town for a more intimate dinner if you overnight in the Wilderness, Sedgefield area. === Accommodation included - subject to availability and stay package option selected: Saver Pili Pili Backpackers, 3* Comfort The Rex / Fairy Knowe or similar, or 4* Luxury Protea Hotel Knysna Quays or similar

5
Venture along the N2 national road as you return to the Cape and stop near a seaside village called Mossel Bay. Choose to do another optional Botlierskop 4x4 Safari drive (if you've not seen many animals in the Addo National Park, this gives yet another option to spot most of the Big 5 animals on safari) at this nearby private game reserve. After ticking off the region's must-do bucket list items and exploring the best spots of the Garden Route, journey back to the Cape and end with an evening drop-off at your Cape Town or Stellenbosch accommodation at about 8pm to 10pm (subject to traffic and your drop-off address.) === Accommodation included - subject to availability and stay package option selected: Saver/dorm> Never@Home Backpackers, Comfort> Hotel Sky or similar, Deluxe> Victoria Junction Hotel or similar.

Day 7
7
Join a Cape Point small group day tour (outsourced tour) Start with a pick-up from your Cape Town accommodation. Hout Bay, an unassuming fishing village on the northern side of Chapman’s Peak, is the first stop of the day and offers the chance to visit the seal colony of Duiker Island, just a short cruise from shore. For those without their sea legs, rather explore the local harbour market and snap Instagram-worthy pics of colourful fishing boats.
As you leave Hout Bay behind, you’ll take on a staggering 114 mind-blowingly beautiful bends – stretching over nine jaw-dropping kilometres. Chapman’s Peak road, or Chappies to the locals, is touted as one of the world’s most scenic drives – and with good reason. Rugged mountains face off with the Atlantic and the roadway, an incredible feat of engineering, cuts a swathe right through and provides unparalleled views of the Atlantic below.
Chappies sets the scene for the afternoon’s adventuring as you venture onwards to the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwesterly point of Africa. Here, water and wilderness literally collide and create a picturesque jagged shoreline adorned with greenish fringes of fynbos. This is a place to pay tribute to ancient seafarers of old like Bartolomeu Dias (who discovered the Cape of Good Hope back in 1488) and pioneers, like Vasco da Gama, who journeyed through these treacherous waters from Portugal to India. Indigenous fauna lines narrow winding pathways en route to the Cape’s whitewashed lighthouse, with views well worth the climb. Local wildlife – ostriches, baboons, and various antelope species, including bontebok – keep the journey interesting and add plenty of postcard moments for the shutterbugs. On the hillside, an optional funicular eases the journey for those that want to reach the top of the lighthouse.
As the day lengthens, travel to Simon’s Town, perched on the shores of False Bay and the home of the South African Navy. Just a few minutes to the south lies Boulders Beach, a comely stretch of sand littered with granite. This hotspot is home to a large colony of African penguins who strut their stuff in their black and white feathered finery to the delight of the crowds that gather to watch. Boardwalks separate man from bird and provide the perfect vantage point to see these cute creatures. You'll get back to Cape Town by late afternoon to early evening from about 5pm (but can also be later due to traffic or delays). Please do not book any flights or make specific arrangements for the first or last day of this group tour.

Reviews
I’m going to divide this review into 3 1- 5 day Garden Route- great trip, Neville our guide / driver was fantastic, very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and always ready either way a smile. Trip was good, maybe Addo was a bit of a let down only because the safari previous to that was brilliant. Accommodation was great too. My only complaint was that there was too much travel time in the bus, however on looking how far we went there had to be, if I were to go it again I would chose a longer tour over the same route. 2- Wineland tour- absolutely fantastic! Great guide, great wines , great scenery and a wonderful lunch. 3- Cape Point Tour- scenery was amazing, felt a little rushed but a nice tour to see a different part of South Africa. Our driver/ guide was ok. Lunch was not great, I’m in South Africa on a tour I want South African food, not a greasy hamburger!
Excellent communication with office and both our guides were great. Useful advice given too. Accommodation arranged was of a high standard and vehicles were also very comfortable for our tour. The company they recommended for our Kruger safari was very good too. Certainly would use them again.
Nev is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. He took great care of us and had an amazing spirit. Would recommend to solo female travelers like myself! Overall very safe and organized.
My wife and I had 7 wonderful days with Hotspots2c. We opted for the 5-day Garden Route tour and for 2 additional days for the Cape Peninsula and Winelands. I highly recommend these tours because I think they are the best option for those who want to make the most of their time in South Africa. You get to see so many beatiful places in a well organised way, which is better then going by yourself. A professional guide, like Isaac was in our case, can share so many things and you can get many insights that you can't otherwise get. We've made new friends with other tourists in our tour and we've made unforgettable memories.
My friend and I booked the tour, because we didn’t really know how to manage to do everything by ourselves. The tour really exceeded our expectations - we had a great time with amazing activities (e.g. safaris, wine tastings etc.) and great accommodations (we booked the backpackers option with private rooms which were all really nice). What made the trip really special was our guide Maudi who went out of his way to make the tour an unforgettable experience for us. He always made sure we were safe everywhere, took us to nice places when we had extra time, and had an overall lovely, funny and caring personality.
This excellent tour was a perfect introduction to South Africa, prior to a following 30 day tour of Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Western S Africa. Travellers coming to southern Africa should include the Garden Route. Hotspots2C delivered an engaging itinerary, leaving indelible, positive memories. Our choice of accommodation at the 3 star level felt more like 5 star while those in our group who chose backpackers were also very impressed.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked the tour . It was our first time in South Africa, and we didn't know how to plan the trip, so we booked this tour through the Viator based only on reviews. And it was amazing !!! It did not disappoint, from the beginning to the very end , every day was packed with activities to explore the most beautiful parts of this side of Africa . From game drives to beautiful scenery to ziplining , climbing , wineries, and most importantly, seeing animals in their own environment was an unforgettable experience. We did have to get up early every day, move from one place to another ( with our luggage) and spend a lot of time driving, but it was all worth it, and I would do it over again. Big shout out to our tour guide Maudi , he was very knowledgeable, kind and willing to go out of his way to make our time unforgettable. His job is his passion and it shows
Amazing trip which was very professionally organized by Hotspots2c. We’ve been informed of our pick up times early enough and our guide Mr Nev was fantastic! He went above and beyond to show us the beauty of his country and involved everyone in the group by adapting spontaneously to our wishes. The Botlierskop Safari and the Tsitsikama national park were breathtaking. We were lucky to see all of the big 5! Would definitely recommend and book again.
I thoroughly enjoyed my two-day tour with Maudi. He was a brilliant, enthusiastic guide and the scenic Wine Route, two safaris, and a pit stop in Mossel Bay were all fantastic. (Having said that, Viator seems to have mixed up the tour descriptions: I thought I had signed up to a two-day Garden Route + Safari tour, but went on a Wine Route + Safari tour. I wasn't too fussed, but contrary to the title above, I did not do a 7 Day tour... A similar mix up seems to have affected an Italian woman on my tour, who was very upset about it, so I suggest you double-check directly with the tour company to avoid disappointment.)
One of the best trips I've ever booked. We did this journey in July, so in the winter months. Our tourguide was Maudi (he's absolutely brilliant!! he really made this trip so much more memorable!) We started with the Wine-Tour and the Cape Point Tour and then had the five day Garden Route. We were kept updated about the tour to the perfect amount by hotspots (the communication really worked so well) and it never felt unorganized. The activities planned and the optional ones worked perfectly together and the itinerary was just brilliant. I have so many good memories of this, be it the Addo-Safari, the bus drive through the mountains, meeting other people in the greatly picked hostels or the animals we got to see. The bus was very comfortable too, even for the 12 people we were in this group. As I said, Maudi was a big part of this. He made sure we were always on time, had good food and felt comfortable, he was so patient with us too and was honestly super fun! Overall this trip deserves a 100/10 and I would recommend it to everyone! Thank you to hotspots and Maudi! Hopefully we'll be able to do trips with them again soon.
This was a week long trip to Garden Route, Cape Point and Winelands. Our group was very small and our guide was super nice and knowledgeable. He was always on time and ready to help out. The booking with the HotSpots was also seamless and they were always very friendly and responsive.
My friend and I booked the 7-day combo tour including Garden Route, Winetour and Cape of Good Hope. Our guide TK (5-day Garden Route) was great! He organized every day perfectly. Lunch was always already on the table when we arrived at the restaurant, the activities were always planned without waiting and he also always explained interesting things about South Africa during the trip. We really recommend Hotspots2c. The reservation worked flawlessly and we were constantly kept up to date by Tammy (reservation manager). It was simply a wonderful vacation in South Africa.
My wife and I went on our honeymoon in South Africa and this was the first thing that we had planned right off the plane. I couldn’t have been more happy that we decided to do this tour. Our tour guide TK truly was the highlight of our honeymoon. His hospitality, charisma, and genuine personality made us feel like we had made a friend for life. He had a deep knowledge of everywhere you go on the tour as well as general South African history. He would go out of his way over and over again to make sure every person on the tour was having the best experience possible. I’ve ton hundreds of tours in America and worldwide and TK was the best guide I’ve ever had. We choose to do the 4-star package and all of the accommodations were excellent. They are all bed and breakfasts that are privately owned so everything is very intimate. As far as the tour itself you are seeing and doing things in South Africa that I would have never planned on doing on my own. Going to feed elephants, climb through caves, zip line through national parks, going on private game safaris, and most uniquely going to small towns and villages that are very remote and having meals in local restaurants. There is a lot packed into 7 days along with a ton of driving, so it can be exhausting, but if you want to see and do as much as possible I would highly recommend this tour.
I have travelled to many places in the World, but Cape Town is one of the most beautiful, I go back every year. Ask me
This trip was amazing. We were spoiled by our guide, Maudi, who gave 200% to ensure our comfort. 10 stars for Maudi! There was a lot of driving, but we were able to experience places in South Africa that otherwise would have remained unknown to us. There were no disappointments so the driving was necessary, and therefore worth it! If possible, make sure to go on the elephant walk. It was a favorite, as was the safari, wine tasting at Simonsig in Stellenbosch and having breakfast with our marvelous hostess in Khayamandi who treated us to chakalaka, fry bread and rooibos tea. Everything was so much fun. We booked the luxury accomodations, and again we were not disappointed. The Agulhas Country Inn and Restaurant was my favorite. My spouse liked the safari tent accomodations at Buffelsdrift Lodge which had a wonderfully relaxing pool. We both enjoyed a wonderful dinner at De Viskijf where we dined on exquisitely prepared game meats, including ostrich, kadu and springbocke, and enjoyed a very tasty Bibotie. Try and visit via taxi and ask for waitstaffer Bianca. But in the end, the tour would not be complete without Maudi, who went above and beyond. Highly recommended Hotspots2C!
The trip was very well organized. Everything went smoothly. The accommodations were also well chosen. Our guide Maudie was always very friendly - he knew very well and explained everything. He also responded to our requests. Simply a successful trip, which I can only recommend. If you'll travel alone by car, you would not experience so much in such a short time. Thank you very much and see you soon ZA :-)
Both the guides we had during the tour were top-level. Isaac Matlakeng led us for 5 days and Maudi for the last two; they were both very friendly, efficient and delivered us an awful lot of interesting information about places, history ... The choice of the activities was well balanced between the needs of young and less young participants. We had the 4-star accomodations that were really satisfactory, both in terms of location and quality. We suggest to take warm clothes, especially for early morning safaris.
Had so much fun on the garden route with our amazing guide Uriel! He was very knowledgeable, kind-hearted, and hilarious. He truly made my experience one I’d never forget!
I had a very interesting holiday. We had a great time. Our guide, Uriel, organised everything for us perfectly. I have no hesitation to recomend this tour and our giude Uriel to anybody else who wishes to explore the vineyards and the Garden Route.
Our tour guides were phenomenal - personable, perfectly timed comfort stops, ensured everything was lined up for us. They even made additional stops knowing that we were studying photography. This tour was perfect for us as a group of photography students! So many memories and photographable moments. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you, HotSpots2C!
My wife and I generally never take tours but decided to do it this once, having never been to South Africa before. And it's true that on tours you lose a little independence due to the need to coordinate with fellow travellers - some of whom may have different priorities than you do. But despite that, we really really enjoyed the 7 days spent with Hotspots2C, largely because of the tour guides. Our trip was divided into two (Winelands/Agulhas, then Garden Route/Karoo) so we had two guides. Both were great guys. The first, Uriel de Wee, absolutely deserves his 5*+ recommendation, not only for his helpfulness but also because of the deep and very human conversations we were privileged to have with him about South African history, society and politics. Not to mention the music! The second, Mordy, was also great, working incredibly hard to help everyone, often getting up pre-dawn to ensure a full experience. He must get really tired at the end of the trip! In short, even more than the convenience and the sites, it is the people who made the difference and justified our taking a tour just this once.
If you have the time, this is an absolute must tour. 7 days of the stunning Garden Route with all its beauty, numerous attractions and activities the entire trip. There is something for everyone on this tour. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
- Well paced tour, with regular comfort breaks, tea/coffee/snack options and clean bathroom facilities across the route - Excellent 3 star guesthouse accommodation with good breakfast options. Very friendly staff - Good restaurants with suitable vegetarian food options - Isaac was our driver/tour guide and was well informed about each area and gave good safety advice and was very helpful and friendly - A very well organised tour Pick-ups were always on time Only recommendation would be to provide guests with a copy of the full proposed itinerary at the start of the tour (which we understand is always subject to weather conditions and time), that includes: - approx. pick-up times - time allowed at each stop (or indicate the quicker we leave the better for the next stop) - set lunch slot/times and inform guests that food orders take longer, so they can pre-order. - details of activities/options for each day and approx. costs. - what footwear, appropriate clothing to wear (i.e. extra layers around Cape Agulhas and in the evenings, trainers and swimwear for Tsitsikama National Park & Cape Agulhas) Eating lunch/dinner as a group was great as it gave us time to get to know each other and share experiences. However, it would be helpful if the restaurants are able to issue individual bills to couples, groups, etc, rather than guests having to work out what they ordered and add tips on top.
I did the seven day garden Route tour with this company and the same tour guide Maudie for all seven days. Maudie was very professional, flexible and caring for the visitors ensuring their safety and fun at the same time. We were taken to all the places as organised, but it was flexible with the weather and the time, which suited everyone. We had one cancellation (whale watching) due to bad weather but did not get another activity to compensate it, other than that it was excellent. Accommodation differs from back packer hostels to 4 star. Morning breakfast was provided by the place you stayed. Lunch and dinner was extra depending on where you want to eat and what you want to eat. There were a mixture of activates and sightseeing and you could add extra activities to your liking. I had a very pleasant experience with this tour group and I would highly recommend this to any one who wants to get a taste of Cape Town in a week.
I have joined the 7 day Combo-Tour of "Garden Route & Addo-Safari" (5 days) + "Winelands" (2 days) Mid-August with HotSpots2C. I was a bit worried first to book it. A group-tour? For me, as a single-traveller? What if I don't like the other people joining the tour? What if the program is just rushed through? What if...? However, I booked and at the end, I didn't want it to be over :) It is important to reconfirm the tour with Hotspots2C two days prior tour starting date. The lady taking the line was very nice and send me a list of "things to bring" in WhatsApp that could be useful (that's why I carried a bonnet with me which was so useful during sunrise safari). We were a group of 10 in total, 5 young Germans, 2 young Spanish and three Australians (one of them a couple). Very mixed group. We had a mini-bus with a trolley (always locked) for our luggage. Our driver-guide was Maudi, a very warm, knowledgeable person. From the first day he spoiled us with coffee for everyone during stops, sweets and was always flexible in regard to time we need at stops. However, due to his experience, the duration he suggested for each stop was usually exactly what we all needed. He helped with taking photos as well. Breakfast was included in the package. I had chosen the 3-star option with single room and the accommodation was always fine. Only down point was that the rooms were generally very cold being winter in South Africa. I am used to hotter weather so mornings it was just like 6 degres Celsius and the warming blankets/AC was not always enough for me. Better bring warmer pyjamas than I did as a recommendation. Lunch was usually taken together with the group somewhere on the way (at good chosen restaurants, value for money was good). We were all dropped at the booked accommodations some when between 16.30-18.30hrs after our tours. We had some time to rest or shower and Maudi then either picked those who wanted up from their accommodations at a certain time to drop us at a restaurant for dinner or arranged another driver to do so. The hostel-people from our group mostly had dinner arranged (but excluded in their package rate) in the hostel itself so it was usually only the Australian couple and me to go out for dinner together. We had a lots of fun with our guide Maudi! At the end of day 5 of my tour, I was dropped at my guest house at the end of the day and the rest of the group continued to Cape Town, as they had only booked the 5-day-tour. So the next morning I was picked up by another guide: Ulrich! I was the only guest for the 2-day-tour. This can be either positive because you can tailor make your tour as you want just like a private tour even though you purchased a much cheaper sharing tour, or it can be more negative, if you are with the guide alone and can't chat with the other group members etc. For me it turned out to be great! Ulrich was such a talkative guide that we had interesting conversations from pick-up at 8.30am until drop-off at 18.30hrs. I learned lots of new things during the two day extension of my tour. The night was spent near the most southern point of South Africa in Struusbaai. What I didn't like here was that I was the only guest in that guest house for the night and even all their staff left home. I was all by myself in that accommodation and that felt weird. Ulrich, my guide, and I had agreed that I will walk alone to my dinner place as it was just around the corner. However, I later got a message from him that he would like to pick me up as it started to rain and he didn't want me to walk in the rain even though the restaurant was just a few hundred meters away. Very kind! When I woke up in the morning there was no electricity and no mobile coverage, nothing. Therefore, the guesthouse was very cold. The staff returned back in the morning to prepare my breakfast. Obviously, due to no power, there was also no hot water. The manager of the guest house therefore went to another village to get one kettle of boiling water at least for me to have a hot drink. That was very kind, however, thinking of the point that I was all by myself in that guesthouse the night - what would I have done if really an emergency had occurred? I could not even have called someone as the coverage and power was destroyed in the whole town due to the rain and storm in the night.... These are all "what ifs", but still something to consider as a female solo-traveler. I could write more but hope that the above helps other travelers to decide to book with HotSpots2C and get hopefully one of the brilliant guides I had during my time - Maudi & Ulrich. I am myself working in a DMC/tour company so I guess I can judge the quality of other tourism companies very well. Thank you for the amazing time in South Africa. I can highly recommend to book with Hotspots2c and when I am back in South Africa (which I will definitely) then I will book with them again as well. Thank you!

Zahid our tour guide was awesome! Great trip! Although the mix of the group could have been better, because 7 out of 9 of us were germans, this was an exception to my group because other groups were of a better mix.

My best vacation ever ..Winetasting,safari,Bungy jump, canoeing,Garden route and new amazing friends and best guides (Handre first 2 Days and Isaac 5 Days were perfect ) .. Do this tour..So much fun All the time.. epspecially the group on the 5 Days trip was amazing (trip in 2 - 2 + 5 Days) ..Thank u

The tour was so great, highly recommended! We have experienced and seen so much of the beauty of South Africa in such a short time. Our guide Maudi was the best; he worked so hard to make sure we had a really good time and felt safe and told us a lot about the country. We had the backpacker package and were very positively surprised by the beautiful hostels, some directly on the beach. Due to the long distance to Addo, you have sometimes spent a long time on the bus, but you could only see so much in such a short time. For us, the tour in a small tour group with nice company and the best guide was just the right choice.
Wonderful tour, Mr. Nev organized it perfectly, had an answer to all questions, was always in a good mood and made the trip an unforgettable experience. Extremely interesting and a lot to see in a short time! Perfect and highly recommended!!!!!
