Day 1
1
Pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00am and travel to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, located in the V&A Waterfront, to take the 9:00am boat to Robben island.
Arriving at the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island at 8:30am, you will skip the line for ticketing and join others in the queue to board the shared ferry boat. At 9:00am you will set sail to Robben Island for the prison museum tour which will last approximately 3.5 to 4 hours including ferry boat transfers. On the island you will join a shared tour of the island. The tour will be conducted by an ex-political prisoner tour guide who will share the history of the island with you and show you the inside of the prison cell where Nelson Mandela was held. Before returning by boat back to the V&A Waterfront, you will take the historical Long March to Freedom in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela.
After this enlightening experience, meet you tour guide at the entrance of the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for your transfer to Table Mountain cableway station. Upon reaching the cableway station, use your pre-booked ticket to skip the line and move directly to the queue to board the cable car which will take you to the top of Table Mountain. Here you can explore this 7 Wonder of Nature and see Cape Town from a different dimension. Why not enjoy a light lunch at the Table Mountain Cafe (informal deli-style eatery).
Upon your return from the mountain, we will travel to Signal Hill. This is a spectacular view point which allows you to see the Cape Town City Bowl area including the City Centre, Cape Town Stadium (FIFA World Cup 2010), V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Harbour and the Bo-Kaap.
From there we will drive down to the city and stop in the Bo-Kaap for photos with the historical colourful houses. Your tour guide will share stories about the meaning of the colourful houses and what they represent. Please remain close to your tour guide at all times and keep your belongings with you.
The day tour culminates with a drive-by city orientation tour through Adderley Street where you will view historical monuments like Bartholomew Dias, Jan van Riebeeck and Zackarias Waganaer Reservoir. Thereafter see some heritage museums like the Slave Lodge and Cape Castle. View the City Hall and the Company Gardens and proceed past the House of Parliament.
Drop off will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at the end of the tour between 17:00 and 17:30pm.
Day 2
2
Pick up will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at 9:00am as we travel along the Atlantic Seaboard passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camp's Bay, with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other side.
Our first stop will be at Maiden's Cove for a photo opportunity with the Twelve Apostles and Camp's Bay beach as our backdrop. We call this the Kodak moment.
Thereafter we make our way along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay Harbour where we will take a 45-minute Seal Island boat cruise to view the Seals at Duiker Island. Your tour guide will share the history of Hout Bay with you.
From Hout Bay, you will take the boat to Seal Island to view the seals colony. Please note that we will not disembark the boat at Seal (Duiker) Island but will view the seals from the boat. Note that this activity is weather permitting and not recommended if the seas are rough.
Upon your return from Seal Island, we will travel along Chapmans Peak drive (if it is operating), which is known as one of the most scenic routes in the world, and stop at the viewpoint for photos.
We proceed along this tour route through Noordhoek with an optional stop at the Village Roast located in the Noordhoek Farm Village for some of the best coffee roasted in Cape Town.
Our next stop will be at the monument of Just Nuisance in Simon's Town. Here your guide will share the story of Just Nuisance, the famous Great Dane Dog who made a name for himself in the South African Navy.
After a short drive from Just Nuisance we arrive at Boulder's Beach Penguins Colony, where we will take a walk on the boardwalk to view approximately 2500 African Penguins in their natural habitat. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you.
The highlight of the day is certainly the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. As we enter into the nature reserve your guide will share stories of the historical figures such as Vasco Da Gama and Bartholomew Dias while stopping at their beacons. Take your iconic photo behind the Cape of Good Hope nameboard.
Our last stop for the day will be at Cape Point, where we will take the Funicular to the Cape Point lighthouse. Cape Point is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean currents: Cold Benguela current and Warm Agulhas current.
Our return route is via the Old Cape Road with beautiful views of the False Bay coastline including the colourful beach huts at St. James Beach.
Drop off will be at your accommodation in Cape Town after the tour between 17:00 and 18:00pm.
Day 3
3
Pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town will be at 9:00am.
We travel along a scenic route to Marianne Wine Estate in Stellenbosch to experience Biltong and wine tasting. Marianne believes that biltong pairing enhances the flavors of the red wine they produce. Marianne’s Floreal blend was also hand-picked by Chef Gordon Ramsay for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday which was held in the Buckingham Palace.
Next we travel to Fairview Vineyards and Goats Cheese for a cheese and wine tasting. Here guests can purchase their favourite cheese and condiments, as well as their favourite wine from a choice of 3 ranges.
We stop at the Drakenstein Correctional Facility (formerly Victor Vester Prison) where former South African President Nelson Mandela spent his last two years of his prison sentence, for a photo with the his monument. Please note that we are not allowed to enter into the facility and will only take the photo outside with the monument.
We take a drive through the town of Franschhoek where guests are also welcome to enjoy an optional lunch at one of the many restaurants or buy a takeaway from one of the eateries. Franschhoek is known as the Food and Wine Capital of South Africa and we will pass the French Huguenot Monument on our way to Haute Cabriere wine estate.
We stop at Haute Cabriere wine estate, Home of Pierre Jourdan, for MCC (bubbly) tasting. A family-owned winery, Haute Cabrière has roots that extend deep into Franschhoek’s wine valley, heritage and community. With a passion for crafting memories to share in together through quality wines, Burgundian and Champagne varietals are explored by the von Arnim family through pioneering blends and single-varietal wines, generation after generation.
The tour culminates with a stop at the exquisite Delaire Graff wine estate, also known as the Jewel of the Cape Winelands. The ultimate Cape Winelands experience, Delaire Graff is dedicated to beauty in its many forms. An extraordinary natural setting, The Delaire Graff is a world-class destination for wine, art, cuisine and escape from the everyday. Experience the pinnacle of Cape Winelands hospitality. Positioned atop the Helshoogte Pass, delight in the unforgettable setting, panoramic views and exceptional facilities.
Thereafter we make our way back to Cape Town. You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Cape Town between 17:00 and 18:00pm.

Mena was a great guide. He paced the whole 3 days well. We had plenty of time to see and do everything we wanted. Robben Island was the highlight of all 3 days.
My journey was a learning and exploring journey hobong us a chance to make a difference. That I believe will help us to take each step at a time and to learn to recognize the times we live in. I do not regret the money and my time I have taken to get to the next level of life. It's a milestone achieved.
Nathan the guide was very much attentive to all of us in the bus.. And was informative about Cape Town even the normal sites. The driver was driving well & we felt safe with him on the wheels.
Gift was an excellent guide who was punctual, polite and proud of representing Cape Town. He was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Future guests allocated to Gift will appreciate his excellent service
A very good experience, getting to know Cape Town's highlights with Wilson (our wonderful tour guide) giving us a full background history from all the places we visited.
We had a brilliant 3 days with Ibby our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgable and he planned our days so we saw everything. He showed us everywhere with enthusiasm. Nothing was too much trouble. We saw all the wonderful places in and around Cape Town and spectacular views. We visited 3 wine estates on our last day and we asked if we could also visit Babylonstoren as it is a sister estate to The Newt in Somerset, UK near our home. Ibby was delighted to take us there for the afternoon. Thank you Ibby for showing us your beautiful homeland.
very good, the guide is very friendly and patient, and his english is good, i want to recommend him.
Isaac was a great tour guide! I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. I am a woman traveling solo and I felt safe everywhere we went.
This was one of the best travel experiences I have had,our guide Gordon was absolutely fantastic, showed us everything possible and more, changed times and places to suit weather and schedule which was awesome,as we got to go up Table Mountain which was brilliant.Gordon was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. An excellent and safe driver. Would highly recommend this tour,as you see a lot of Capetown in limited days, without the stress. An excellent service again,a truly big accolade to Gordon,he is an asset to your company. Thank you Viator Kathy,Australia
It’s a well planned tour, with a very nice and welcoming guide named Gift! Highly recommended, and I will go again with my family.
Our guide, Gordon, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We weren’t able to go to all the places we expected - Robben Island was closed for renovations and Table Mountain was closed due to weather. Gordon made great suggestions for alternatives while listening to us and our interests. Day one was wineries, two was peninsula including penguins and Cape of Good Hope, three was city tour. Days were well paced. Enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend.
Our 3 day private tour was the best option we could take, it saved us a lot of time, we knew the main attractions, Gordon our guide was very attentive, he knew when and where were the best times to save time, avoid lines, and locations for the best photos, his knowledge of the places and his pleasant explanation allowed us to appreciate the city and its culture, with vast knowledge of history his narrations transmitted us the feeling of its people and their deep pride of their ancestors, definitely if you want to do immersion and also go at your own pace this is the best selection you can make.
Ibby has been a fantastic guide. He has made our family experience unique providing colours to the places we have visited through interesting stories and historical background. If you visit Cape Town try to have Ibby as a guide!
3 days of everything we wanted to see and do. It was so convenient to have it all in one tour and not have to piece together many tours to get it all in. The pace was excellent. The private tour offered us flexibility and some minor adjustments due to weather. Ruben, our guide, was amazing! So knowledgeable, fun, friendly and a joy to spend 3 days with. We feel like me made a friend!
We would highly recommend this tour if you are a first time visitor to Cape Town. We saw everything there was to see over a nice, relaxed, comfortable 3 days. Our guide was flexible; he knew when the weather was best to go to Table Mountain etc. very knowledgeable. Safe driver, took care of our tickets and because he knew people in the places we went, he secured us wine tastings with the best sommeliers, knew the best restaurants in towns/villages and navigated through the crowds in ways we may not have if we were on our own.
3 Amazing days spent seeing the best of Cape Town. Our guide, Morne Hill, gave us a great introduction to all things Cape Town. We were able to see sites we wouldn’t have seen on our own. He shared a lot of information regarding the history of the sites we saw and of South Africa in general. He gave great recommendations of places to eat or additional sites to see on our own. We so appreciated the safety tips he gave us while we navigated our way through Cape Town. Thank you Morne Hill and the iPhone is still superior!!!
The beauty of this type of tour is that 1) it covers virtually everything one would expect to see in the Cape Town area; 2) it is customized to suit your wishes. For example, we are not wine drinkers, so on the third day, we visited vineyards, but he selected the ones that had tastings in wine and chocolate and cheese. He knew we are art lovers, so he chose a vineyard with an outstanding art collection.; 3) the tour guide ("nature boy") knows the areas and was most helpful.
We had a great time on the tour. Our driver and guide was exceptional. Everything was done on time. Big thank you to Morne.
Our tour guide Alex was wonderful and friendly. From the very first day he picked us up on time from our hotel and showed us all the places as per the itinerary along with sharing historical tid-bits and anecdotal trivia of the places we passed by. We couldn't do the Table Mountain on Day 1 due to weather conditions, but Alex kept checking for weather updates the following days and finally managed to fit it into our schedule on Day 3 when the weather obliged. The itirenary was also well charted out by Beyond Africa Safaris - covering all the important highlights one would might to cover during a short stay at Capetown. Overall great experience.. we didn't have to worry about anything during our tours - from travel, to entry tickets to cruises, wine estates, Boulder beach penguins, etc. and even restaurant suggestions (meal costs had to be borne by us as mentioned by the tour company earlier) - it was all very smooth & peaceful. Definitely recommend to all who wish to have a hassle-free travel across Capetown along with understanding the history & stories behind various places.
Morna 😉 truly showed us how much he loves his country! He gave us all the details about the politics, community, and nature. He went out of the way to take us to restraunts we would enjoy. By the end, he felt like family!
Morne was a great and informative guide! He was always on time and answered all of our questions. He made sure to give us a history of every place we went to and made sure we experienced Cape Town to its fullest!
We have just completed the 3-day Cape Town tour. We were provided with an excellent guide who was very polite and courteous and very knowledgeable. It made our tour very satisfying. Our guide was on time with a very clean vehicle. Everything we booked reached our expectations. Thanks to Beyond Africa Safaris for making our trip very enjoyable. Would recommend to any traveler on a short stay to Cape Town.
We had a lovely 1 day tour visitimg quite a number of places table mountain, bo-kaap, cape of good hope, boulders, long beach, city tour. Our guide and driver of the day was Lucadel a great guy and very knowledgable he shared the history of each of the areas their uniquness we learnt quite a lot from him
We were incredibly lucky to have Jacky as our guide throughout our stay in Cape Town. We did the cape of good hope, penguins, table mountain, robben island and wine tasting tours. He was so informative and friendly with all of us. He answered all of our many questions with no complaints at all and was very accommodating to any requests we had. He talked to us throughout all the drives telling us about so many stories and unique things that most guides would probably not think to add! Thank you again to Jacky for everything, we would highly recommend.
What an awesome experience, the guy was very patient and helping a lot, his name is Regan Kupa, he was patient with us, taking us photos, I fell in love with his humanity
Gordon our guide adapted very well to our pace, very attentive to everything, saved us a lot of time and his explanations were clear and enjoyable, I definitely recommend this tour.
Voltaria a utilizar o serviço e recomendo bastante.
