Good location, however our stay was quite unpleasant. Rooms have akward layout, very out-dated and in need of maintenance, especially bathrooms. Looks more like a storage unit for someones old furniture. Room divide was used to cover up hole in the wall/old fireplace, unkept. Aircons broken.

Amazing venue, but Sally the managares waa extremely rude an unwelcoming when I checked in. Aircon was broken. Did not even reply to my requests. Gail checked me out and she was absolutely amazing.

From the minute we arrived we were treated excellent. Sally was there to show us around and took us to our room. She is an absolute star. The guest house is absolutely amazing. Welgemoed Guest House is a true gem. This was our third stay, and each time we return, it feels like our home away from home. The house is peaceful, elegant, and beautifully maintained. Sally and her team are warm, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. They remember the little details and always ask after our family in South Africa and our life in Melbourne. That personal touch makes all the difference. Welgemoed Guest House is our home away from home in Cape Town—highly recommended!
