Protea Hotel By Marriott Cape Town North Wharf

we had a nice service apartments with a kitchette, washing machine, dish washer. microwave etc. but it would be nice if detergents for dish washing, laundry etc were already pre-set, rather than having to ask for it. we asked for them on our way out in the morning, especially for shower gel as it was empty when we checked it, and items didnt come, when we were back the the evening. I would like to commend on 2 outstanding staff from this hotel, who made us want to return again. First is receptionist Dylan. When he found out about all the items that we were not sent, he sincerely aoologised. We know he was not housekeeping, but Dylan personally went to collect everything we requested for and immediately delivered to our room! I wanted to personally thank him, but i didnt see him when we checked out. 2nd is restaurant staff Mr Gode. We had bfast for 4 days and every morning, he made sure we were welcomed with his kind words, frequently checked on us at our table to see how we were, made tea for us, etc. All the staff were friendly, but i would like to specially mention these 2 fantastic staff. Hotel Protea is fortunate to have them.

Hi, my wife and I stayed here for a few days, the Staff were amazing service was excellent. From Amarah to Mr H and everyone in between were unbelievable. The Kitchen staff were brilliant the food was great and we will definitely make this our home when we are in Capetown again.

Porter stood by and watched me struggle with luggage and finding parking while he was on his phone. Air con stopped working for two days, had to sleep with balcony doors open leading to loads of mosquito bites and a strong smell of fish presumably from the nearby port and loads of noisy vehicles all night long. Location wise very convenient for both the city bowl and the waterfront. And restaurant staff were very pleasant.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s weekend here, and it’s easily a top pick for a romantic getaway. The rooftop pool on the top floor is a real highlight—clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing together. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were excellent throughout: warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of quality choices, and the cleaning team deserves special mention for keeping everything impeccably clean each day. Overall, outstanding value and a stay we’d happily repeat.
