Excellent Guest House

Dear Management, We would like to raise a serious concern regarding the smoking policy at your guesthouse. We chose your guesthouse specifically because it is known as a beautiful, tranquil, and peaceful environment. Unfortunately, our experience has been significantly affected by the current smoking practices allowed on the premises. We are non-smokers and are also allergic to cigarette smoke. Despite this, guests are frequently smoking directly in front of their rooms and near doorways. As a result, smoke continuously drifts into our room, forcing us to move away from the area and, even late at night while we we're sleeping In terms of South African smoking legislation, smoking is not permitted in public places or near entrances, doors, windows, or people. A guesthouse is considered a public place, and therefore these regulations should be strictly applied and enforced. We respectfully but firmly request that the smoking policy be reviewed and enforced accordingly, ensuring that: - No smoking takes place near doors, windows, or rooms - Designated smoking areas (if any) are positioned well away from guests - Non-smoking guests are protected from second-hand smoke We truly appreciate the beauty and calm atmosphere of your guesthouse and would like to enjoy our stay without being exposed to cigarette smoke or having to relocate repeatedly due to discomfort. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We trust that you will address this concern with the seriousness it deserves. Kind regards, Karin Toerien
