Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel

Cape Grace has long been a firm favorite of mine, but celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary here took our love for this hotel to an entirely new level. "Phenomenal" hardly does the experience justice. If I could redo our honeymoon, I would rearrange the entire week just to spend it all here! What makes Cape Grace so extraordinary is its quiet, flawless consistency. The atmosphere is beautifully set by fresh floral arrangements, Chef & Sommelier glassware, and Degrenne porcelain crockery. The staff (from Maka, Pumla, and Nxibisi in the Library to the attentive doormen who always welcome you back) add a real sense of warmth. Thoughtful details make all the difference, like the welcome card, De Grendel Brut with macarons, fresh flowers, and the in-room breakfast menu left at turndown. Ultimately, it’s the overall care and precision that stand out: perfectly aligned surfaces, automatic nightlights, seamless room tidying that makes every return feel fresh, and a clear commitment to supporting local creators. Checking out didn't feel like leaving a luxury hotel; it felt like leaving my own home.

I was here for the high tea celebrating my birthday. The best experience ever! Still warms my heart when I randomly think about it, I love high teas and this one will always be my favourite one. The staff was welcoming and also so friendly, they have your attention throughout the entire time, the chef even has your attention too, they even had like 2 surprises for me. I even enjoyed the piano serenades throughout the experience. I cannot wait for that day when I can even afford a stay at the hotel and get to experience Cape Grace at full capacity with their hospitality. Absolutely the best ever!!!

I had the most wonderful experience at the Cape Grace Spa and was lucky enough to have Amanda who was so professional and you can tell she loves what she does! All the staff were kind and hepful and thing seemed too much for them- particularly Rozanne. I look forward to coming back!

We had such a terrific experience at Cape Grace! Not only the hotel is spotless, with great food and views in the best area of Cape Town, but especially for every interaction with their employees at the main entrance, Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Library and in our room. The team at Cape Grace makes you feel welcome and special. What a wonderful hotel to be! I recommended it with my eyes closed!
