Route

Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya is more than just a beach destination — in the right hands it becomes one of the most romantic escapes in the Americas. Watch the sun rise over the ancient pyramids of Chichén Itzá before the world wakes up, sail to the Island of Women on a private catamaran as the afternoon turns gold, climb jungle-clad Mayan pyramids together, discover the clifftop ruins of Tulum above the turquoise Caribbean, and lose yourselves in the extraordinary flavours of a private tacos and tequila tasting tour through the authentic streets of the Yucatan. Over eight extraordinary days, Cancun reveals a depth and beauty that goes far beyond the Hotel Zone — ancient civilisations, extraordinary natural wonders, and a Caribbean light so beautiful it makes everything look like a painting. This is the Yucatan for two — romantic, immersive, and completely unforgettable.

Itinerary

Day
1

Day 1: Arrival & Sunset Welcome

Touch down at Cancun International Airport and let your private transfer carry you to your luxury resort on the Riviera Maya as the afternoon sun turns the Caribbean gold. Check into your suite, change into something effortless, and spend the first evening doing absolutely nothing except existing in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The beach at sunset is genuinely extraordinary — the sky turns every shade of orange, pink, and violet over the Caribbean as the warm evening air settles around you like a second skin. Find a beachfront table, order cold cocktails, and let the magic of the Yucatan begin to work on you. Tonight is about arrival, atmosphere, and the quiet anticipation of knowing that the week ahead is going to deliver something genuinely extraordinary. Tomorrow the adventures begin.

Day
2

Day 2: Chichén Itzá at Sunrise Private Day Trip

Rise before dawn and slip away from the resort while the rest of Cancun sleeps. A private transfer carries you west through the dark Yucatan countryside as the stars begin to fade, arriving at Chichen Itza just as the first light of day breaks over the ancient Mayan city and the towering El Castillo pyramid emerges from the morning mist in one of the most breathtaking and romantic scenes imaginable. With a private expert guide and the entire site to yourselves, this is Chichen Itza as it was meant to be experienced — peaceful, profound, and deeply moving. Walk hand in hand through the ancient city as the light changes by the minute, discovering the Temple of Warriors, the Great Ball Court, and the extraordinary astronomical genius of El Castillo together. Continue to a private cenote for a secluded morning swim before the journey back to Cancun — arriving with a shared experience that belongs entirely to the two of you.

Day
3

Day 3: Private Tacos & Tequila Tasting Foodie Tour

Today Yucatan reveals its most delicious side. Join a private tacos and tequila tasting tour through the authentic food scene of Cancun — venturing far beyond the resort strip and into the local neighbourhoods where the real Yucatecan food culture lives and breathes. A passionate local guide leads you through colourful market stalls, family-run taquerías, and artisan mezcal and tequila producers, sampling extraordinary regional flavours at every stop — cochinita pibil tacos slow-roasted in banana leaves, freshly made tortillas pressed directly on the comal, smoky al pastor straight off the trompo, and street-side ceviches that taste of nothing but the sea. Between the food stops, a guided tequila and mezcal tasting explores the extraordinary depth and complexity of Mexico's most celebrated spirits. It is one of those experiences that makes you fall in love with Mexican culture all over again — and with each other over every extraordinary bite and sip.

Day
4

Day 4: Tulum & Cobá Private Mayan Wonders Day Trip

A day of ancient wonder and Caribbean drama in equal measure. The journey south begins at Cobá — a vast Mayan city rising from the jungle, where the Nohoch Mul pyramid can still be climbed to the summit for sweeping views over an endless green canopy that stretches to the horizon. The scale and remoteness of Cobá creates an atmosphere of genuine discovery that the more visited sites cannot quite match. Continue to Tulum in the afternoon — where Mayan ruins perch dramatically above the turquoise Caribbean on ancient limestone cliffs in one of the most romantic and visually extraordinary settings in all of Mexico. A private guide brings the history and mysticism of both sites to life as you explore at your own pace, and the afternoon ends at a secluded stretch of Tulum beach below the ruins — one of the most beautiful and atmospheric beaches in the entire Riviera Maya. Return to your hotel as the sun sets over the jungle.

Day
5

Day 5: Private Sunset Catamaran & Isla Mujeres

The sea takes centre stage today on a private catamaran that delivers the most romantic day of the entire week. Sail across the turquoise water toward Isla Mujeres — the Island of Women — stopping at secluded snorkelling spots along the way where the reef is alive with tropical fish, sea turtles, and vibrant coral gardens in water so clear it barely feels real. On the island, wander the bougainvillea-draped streets hand in hand, find a quiet corner of legendary Playa Norte, and share a long, unhurried lunch at a waterfront restaurant with cold wine and the sound of the Caribbean lapping at the shore. The return sail is the day's final and most extraordinary act — as the sun descends toward the horizon, the catamaran carries you back across the glittering water in a blaze of golden light that turns the Caribbean into a painting. There is no more romantic way to spend an afternoon on the Mexican Caribbean.

Day
6

Day 6: Chichén Itzá & Yaxunah Private Mayan Ruins Day Trip

A second journey into the ancient Mayan world today, but with a completely different character from day two. Begin at the extraordinary village of Yaxunah — a rarely visited Mayan community and archaeological site that served as a political rival to Chichen Itza for centuries, where local archaeologists and community members share their passion and knowledge directly with visitors in one of the most intimate and authentic cultural encounters available in the Yucatan. The contrast with the grand theatrical spectacle of Chichen Itza — which you visit next — makes for a deeply rounded and profoundly moving day that puts the entire Mayan civilisation in a new and more personal perspective. Return to Cancun in the late afternoon with the evening free for a romantic dinner at one of the finest waterfront restaurants — candlelit, unhurried, and the perfect close to an extraordinary day.

Day
7

Day 7: Private Half Day Puerto Morelos & Spa Afternoon

A beautifully paced final full day — intimate and cultural in the morning, deeply indulgent in the afternoon. A private transfer takes you south to Puerto Morelos — a charming, largely untouched fishing village that feels genuinely Mexican in a way that much of the tourist corridor does not. Wander the colourful town square, browse the artisan market for the perfect keepsake, and enjoy a long lunch of fresh seafood at a waterfront restaurant overlooking the Caribbean and the pristine reef just offshore. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon for a couples' spa treatment at the resort — deep tissue massages, a private jacuzzi, and the kind of complete surrender to relaxation that only the last full day of a perfect holiday can deliver. A final romantic dinner on the beach tonight — private table, candlelight, the sound of the Caribbean, and a week of extraordinary shared memories to celebrate.

Day
8

Day 8: Final Morning & Departure

One last sunrise over the Caribbean — the light at this hour on the beach is genuinely extraordinary, the beach quiet and the water perfectly still. One last swim, one last Mexican breakfast, and a final slow walk along the shore before your private transfer arrives for the airport. The Yucatan has a way of getting deep under your skin — the warmth, the history, the food, the colour, and the extraordinary Caribbean light — and by the time you board your flight home you will already be planning your return. Until next time, Cancun.
