We booked this park out the blue for something different to do. We totally loved this park, it’s not well advertised or promoted. This park is great day out for fun and laughs and can get all the family involved. There’s water slides , cave rivers ( 6” deep approx ) mud river again 6” deep approx. Bird flight, the dark cave ( which is pitch black ) but a safe fun and harmless experience - To illusions to confuse you all day long. ( don’t forget to go out in cafe area... there’s photo opportunity there ) The photo pass is worth buying as there is so many photos to grab, n taking a personal camera is not recommended as when your following the route, u get involved in activities n there’s no were to leave camera, hence why getting the photo pass is recommended. You can go back n take pics after you done what you want as you can miss bits out where you want. There is a cafe, toilets, showers available, change of clothing is recommended. This is one of them parks were you will book and think hmmm, but when you have been and done it will love it and be pleased you booked it. defo recommend it - an not a fan of park rides / slides etc but all were perfectly fine ( am a feet on the ground person ) but every activity I got involved with

It’s a neat experience but the bus leaves at 2pm and it’s difficult to get everything in if there are lines/crowds or you stop for lunch. Also plan an extra $120 for photos because the whole park is centered around their photo package. Makes for a very expensive half day.
We purchased official Xcaret transportation alongside our admission tickets. In hindsight, we regret this decision. We arrived approximately 15 minutes before the park opened, which initially seemed reasonable. However, after changing and using the lockers, we discovered that the attractions themselves did not begin opening until 9:00 a.m. and, in some cases, 10:00 a.m. As a result, we spent a significant amount of time simply waiting for attractions to become available. When the Xensatorium opened at 9:00 a.m., we proceeded to the entrance. My partner was wearing water shoes due to a medical condition. Before we could enter, we were abruptly stopped by a member of staff and told that shoes were not permitted because it was “Rule Number 1.” We politely explained that my partner needed to wear his water shoes for medical reasons and was happy to continue wearing them throughout the experience. We could not understand why this posed a problem and felt that, if anything, the shoes offered greater protection. The employee insisted that unless my partner had cuts on his feet, he would have to remove his shoes. My partner suffers from post-thrombotic syndrome, experiences significant swelling and discolouration of his foot and leg, and is prescribed high-dose anticoagulant medication. Due to his condition, even minor cuts could result in excessive bleeding. He is also extremely self-conscious about the appearance of his leg and foot. The employee instructed my partner to remove his shoes so that he could inspect his feet himself to determine whether there were any cuts. This was humiliating, deeply embarrassing and entirely inappropriate. My partner was effectively asked to expose a medical condition to justify his need for reasonable accommodation. Feeling embarrassed, ostracised and with no alternative solution offered, we apologised and left the attraction. Later, after returning to the main area of the park, we quietly approached another member of staff to ask why water shoes could not be worn. At that point, the situation changed completely. The staff members we spoke to were compassionate, understanding and professional. They explained that the purpose of removing footwear was to enhance the sensory experience rather than for safety reasons. Once we explained my partner’s medical condition and the risks associated with it, they immediately understood our concerns. They apologised sincerely for the way we had been treated, completed a written incident report, and informed us that this particular employee had behaved similarly towards guests previously. Most importantly, they made reasonable adjustments and allowed my partner to experience the Xensatorium whilst wearing his water shoes, recognising the genuine medical necessity. We are incredibly grateful to these two employees, whose professionalism and empathy rescued what had become a very upsetting experience. However, the embarrassment caused by the initial interaction cannot simply be forgotten. No guest should be made to feel humiliated or effectively challenged to prove a medical condition in front of others. A simple conversation and a reasonable adjustment from the outset would have avoided the entire situation. Overall Experience We are a widely travelled couple who both work within the modern travel industry. We have visited Mexico on several occasions and have enjoyed multiple visits to Xcaret parks over the years. Sadly, we have noticed a clear decline in the quality of the guest experience with each successive visit. What was once an innovative collection of world-class parks now feels increasingly expensive whilst offering less value, fewer unique experiences and lower standards of customer service. It is with genuine disappointment that we say we will not be returning to Xcaret, nor will we be returning to Mexico in the future. More importantly, whereas we once enthusiastically recommended Xcaret to family, friends and colleagues, we can no longer do so with confidence. I hope you will treat this feedback constructively. My intention is not simply to complain, but to highlight areas where the guest experience has fallen significantly below expectations, particularly for returning guests who have supported and promoted the Xcaret brand over many years.
Well - they say its a half day experience. we spent 6 hours :) We reached around 10 AM - We did the dry part of the park first - great place to take awesome pictures - kids had a blast. We then did the anti-gravity town - and then the water slide, lazy river, mud slide, flying zip line, showers etc. Took a break for snacks and drinks and then did the sensory experience which was amazing. Crowds were well managed and staff was super helpful. - Its really a mesmerizing experience.
Amazing day out from Playa del carmen. As with all Xcaret parks the transport was on time, clean and friendly. This park is so so good we both said we would love to come back next time we are in Mexico 🇲🇽 Test your senses it doesn't lie! The wonky village to the nuggets slide and the senses walk is so good to do!
Xenses is a wonderful park—my kids absolutely loved it, and the activities were fun and unique. Unfortunately, the transportation was very disappointing. We were picked up at 7:10 AM but didn’t arrive until 10:30 AM due to delays, even though the park opens at 9. Then we were told to return by 1:45 PM, which made the whole experience feel rushed since the park closes at 6. We later found out there was a 3:45 PM return option, but no one told us earlier. We would have definitely chosen that. Great park, but transportation and communication need serious improvement.
This park has attractions that tricks you with optical illusions. Has fun water activities too like mud bath and water slide. Only takes a few hours to finish the park. Prices are more expensive through Viator though than through the Xcaret website. Visiting once is enough
This is an amazing place. It's not really big, but has a lot of fun. I would recommend it to any age.
The experience was great. You can enjoy this park in 5-6 hours so you have time for the rest of your day. The admission fee is reasonable given all the things you can enjoy. The atmosphere is very safe, relaxing and fun, they protect nature and the environment as well as flora and fauna. There were not large amounts of people, we did not have to wait in line for long in any attraction. The staff was friendly and professional, ready to help you in case of need. It is best for relaxation and having fun in unconventional ways because all the time the park plays with your senses.
Great day out, amazing activities to reset your senses, love it all! Great fun for families and adults. Facilities well looked after and updated.
Avoid the Xenses/Xplor Fuego Package with Transportation – Not Worth the Hassle or the Cost We purchased the Xenses/Fuego combo package with round-trip transportation, and it turned out to be a major mistake. I strongly advise against buying the transportation option. The reservation stated that we'd spend half the day at Xenses and half at Fuego, with round-trip transportation included for both parks. We were staying in Cancun, about an hour away from the parks. Our itinerary showed hotel pickup at 6:35 AM, return to the hotel after Xenses, then pickup again for Fuego in the evening. When I called to request a later pickup and asked if we could go directly from Xenses to Fuego without returning to the hotel, I was told that we were not returning to the hotel, there will be a shuttle that take us from one park to another, but we would still be charged for two round trips, even though we were only using one. I asked for a partial refund, which was denied by Jessica Lopez and her supervisor Mario Morales, who stated that transportation fees are non-refundable. It took 3 hours to get to Xenses because we had to switch buses and no one could initially find our names on the roster. We were stuck at Xenses from around 9:30 AM until 5:30 PM—far too long for a small park where we completed all activities by 2 PM (even with an hour lunch). The shuttle to Fuego was late. Rather than take us straight there (it’s only 5 minutes from Xenses), they made an unnecessary detour to pick up more people at a hotel. We didn’t arrive at Fuego until 6:30 PM, and the main zipline was closed. Due to the delays, we didn't have enough time to enjoy all the activities. Afterward, it was chaos trying to find our return bus. Eventually, we were placed on a completely full bus with an annoyed driver who had to move his things so we could sit. We were charged $210 for transportation for 3 people—something we easily could have handled ourselves with a taxi for much less, on our own schedule, and with a better overall experience. The parks are only about an hour from Cancun, and self-transport would have saved us hours of unnecessary waiting and frustration. Bottom line: Do NOT book transportation. Drive yourself or take a taxi. It’s more convenient, flexible, and cheaper—and it will allow you to actually enjoy your day. --- Let me know if you'd like to adjust this for a Tripadvisor, Google, or formal company complaint format.
Everything was good. There needs to be a place to sit and cool down between sections. It's very humid in the main room. There needs to be a sign where you leave your shoes saying water shoes are acceptable.
It really was a play on your senses. I enjoyed this trip excursion immensely! Great family fun. It exceeded my expectations, I wish we had more time, the time flew by.
Fantastic mind boddling day of fun. Bird flight and 'spa' a great part of the day out. Taking water shoes an essential
Picked up at wrong hotel and left me at mine. Wouldn't refund ticket and told me to take a cab at my own expense 50USD. Do Not trust this.
Amazing place! Quiet unique. Make Your wish to come back again. You can experience this activity only in Xenxes!! This park makes your experience to turn upside-down!
Great park with unique things that you don’t get to do in any other usual park. Definitely recommend it to do especially with kids
The leaning street is amazing! It was the sole reason we went and did not disappoint. It’s really well built and a total trip. The rest was average. I would have rated 5 stars if the pressure to take pictures and purchase the photo package wasn’t such a huge sale factor here but yet again it is. 125$ CAD for the photos. I loathe paying these prices for them to make the entire experience about the pictures rather than the experience itself. I understand they sell it as an easy way to enjoy the experience and not worry about your camera but it just feels like a photo shoot.
The park was fun and different! It didn’t take long to go through the whole park! The Pueblo town was amazing and great for the photos. The whole park is a photo opportunity. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a half day activity. The kids will like it and the pics you will take are great memories.
It's actually a very small place, but there are plenty of places to take good photos, So don't forget to bring your camera, there are also some places where you will get wet, so don't forget your swimsuit.
Xenses was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend it. Pick up was very timely and professional. The only drawback was the long wait at the transfer area. It was held up by late passengers. The park itself was an unforgettable experience. Short and sweet. Good to explore in a couple of hours. Drop off was efficient.
I was so excited to attend a day at Xenses with my husband. We visited on July 29 (Monday) 2024. The park itself was awesome but there were SERIOUS logistics issues that made the visit stressful and upsetting. We booked directly through their company and utilized their in house transportation from our resort. We were told that we would be picked up at 8am. To begin with, the bus was over 30 minutes late. We got on bus around 8:40am with travelers also going to xcaret. On our next stop, we were asked to switch busses and ride with people who were going to xplor. They dropped off the xplor people at xplor first, even though their return transportation was at 5pm and ours was 2pm. When we finally arrived at park around 10am, the lines to get in were extremely slow despite having pre bought tickets and filled out waivers on bus. Everyone still had to wait in ticket line. Only half the windows were open although there were many employees standing around talking amongst themselves and trying to sell photo passes. We did not get to enter the park until 11am, three hours after our pick up time. We were told we were due back at our bus no later than 1:45pm for a 2pm departure time. That means we got less than 3 hours in the park. We wasted no time getting in, and putting things in our locker and went to check out the xensatorium. This was an awesome attraction but we had to wait another 25 mins to enter. Then we went directly to the path of doing and waited 30 mins to go to the water slide. We did everything in succession. Then it was time to go. We had to rush through the town both ways and didn’t have time to enjoy the other attractions. They sold us a food package at the gate and we had to take it to go and almost missed the bus. We didn’t even change out of our wet clothes. Then we were crammed on to a 15 passenger van that was completely full. I was so looking forward to this date day and felt super cheated. I paid $190 and it felt like a waste of time and money because we didn’t get to enjoy it or relax at all. We needed a whole additional hour at least to experience the park to the fullest.
We visited Xenses a couple of days ago and we absolutely loved it! Such a unique and wonderful experience. I would say the photo package is an absolute must, so many different photo opportunities and they create great memories! A couple of things I would say, it was hot. And I mean sweltering hot, only air con available was the bus where you could eat so that was very much welcomed. I would wear swimwear all the way round with a cover up, we didn’t realise that the bird flight and slides etc were at the top of the town. The town can make you quite disorientated (and in my case very nauseous) and we had to do it twice as we didn’t have our swimwear on the first time round. The whole experience was amazing, lots of little things and even going to the toilet is fun! It took us around 3 hours to complete and we enjoyed every second. The only negative I have is that the food was awful, I had a pizza and it was gross, however my partner had a beef burrito and said it was ok. A must visit if you’re in Mexico and want some fun!
The park had very interesting exhibits. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The bird flight was less than a minute, both the water river and the mud river were a good length, but were too shallow for me to comfortably float, and the rain exhibit felt more like a car wash since water sprayed from all directions. The town was awesome and definitely my favorite part. We skipped the dark exhibit because you were required to remove your shoes and then walk a good distance on a hot walkway afterwards and my feet are too sensitive for that.
This park was amazing. The way they play with your senses is incredible. They have a pitch dark tunnel where you move based on touch, sound and smell. It is TOTALLY worth it. They have a town where it looks like you are going up hill but feels you are going down hill. The flight of the bird zip line and the slide was really fun. Definitely to enjoy with your whole family.
Xenses was absolutely beyond incredible. There were so many crazy new things to try and experience. I wasn't going to get in the mud river because I didn't want to get all dirty and. friend talked me into it! So glad I tried everything!!!!
What an amazing place! You must do this! Opens your mind! Fun for all ages ! We felt like children . The dark walk was an experience and pushed some limits! The town is hilarious and we couldn’t stop laughing. The photo package is a must and well worth it. It’s a half a day trip . I nearly drowned on the slide as I didn’t come up because it was so fast ! But the life guard was on the ball and saved me - staff were trained in first aid too !
We went on this trip by accident. I thought we booked another one but it was a happy accident a serious sensory experience that I got to enjoy it with my husband.! Very unique and cool. I don’t wanna spoil the fun and experience but this is definitely one you’ll have to try.
Very interesting and super foto friendly. Love all the activities. Great layout and lots of fun would definitely do ir again
The park is AMAZING. So much to experience with all senses! My fav was the 5 senses tunnel that was pitch black and you were required to use all other senses to truly dig into yourself and enjoy the experience! The upside down town was really mind blowing.... still cant quite work it out. streams running the wrong way, the clouds been lower than the building. WEIRD!!!!!! A fabulous day out.
This was an amazing experience! We have done Xcaret park before and loved it, so we wanted to try another one! This was such a fun time. Great for a family or couples! They have great photo opportunities and experiences to challenge your senses. Hence the name! Definitely would go again!
The park itself was AMAZING. So much to experience with all senses! My favorite was the 5 senses tunnel that was pitch black and you were required to use all other senses to truly dig into yourself and enjoy the experience! I'd also like to express my love and appreciation for the Xenses staff and patrons alike for helping me when my husband slipped and fell backwards, hitting his head on the concrete walking out of the Xauna area of the water experiences. I ran through the hallways yelling for help and 5 patrons of the park came to our aid to help put pressure on the open wound in the back of his head. Another park attendee held my hand and kept me calm as we got him out to the open air for the paramedics to assist. The emergency care staff on site were top notch to say the very least. The park took is by ambulance to their contracted emergency hospital off-site where my husband received x-rays, CT scan for concussion examination and 6 stitches. The level of care and attention was by far the best I've even experienced! Thank you so much for taking care of my husband and myself. Our first time in Mexico and I promise, not only the park being amazing, but the level of customer service and care we received will guarantee our return and our urging everyone we know to experience the XCaret parks! Xenses itself was my favorite park we went to this trip! Thank you again to all of the staff that helped us. I am forever grateful to you all! Love from the Everett's
The experiences in this park were truly one of a kind. I did not know what to expect but it was worth every second. This park really tests your imagination and gives you experiences found in no other place. There is something to do around every corner of the park. My advice is to go with an open mind and be ready to be amazed!!!
This place was so different and such a cool experience, especially in todays selfie era. There’s a few things we wish we had known that I’ll share to make your trip easier to maneuver. Purchase tix in advance online for a discount. You can select round trip transportation and even get a coupon code for discounted entry. Things you can’t get if you book via the hotel. Also buy your photo pass online when you book. It’s cheaper. It was $85 at the park, but wld have been $70 online. 1st, go in your swimwear and wear swim shoes. But bring a change of clothes for once it’s over. They give you a locker to hold your stuff. Be sure to bring a towel as well. My suggestion is to start at the Xensatorium. All of those activities are dry activities, so that way you don’t have to change clothes halfway through. The completely dark ecosystem sensory tour is very interesting. You have to go solo, which takes some getting use to, but 1 kid 12 and under can go with an adult, but 2 kids can’t go with 1 adult. There were 3 of us and it was too scary for 1 of my 12 yr olds to be alone in the dark, so she didn’t make it very far before they sent help to come get her. I think that’s a dumb rule personally. 2nd, the town is very trippy! Your equilibrium will be totally off. It’s a weird feeling, but gets easier. The Slip is the giant waterslide. Have to be accompanied by an adult to go. One of my 12 yr olds wanted to, but I didn’t, so she couldn’t go alone. That was a bummer and another dumb rule. Bird flight was fun! Not scary at all! Saltwater float was a challenge. Felt great, but water wasn’t deep enough to float. My bottom was tender the next day trying to drag myself across the pool floor. I almost skipped the Sludgerie, but it ended up being my favorite part. The mud is not thick and it washes off easy. I didn’t get any in my hair either, which was why I originally didn’t want to do it. 3rd, I highly recommend the photo pass. I thought it was worth the money and fairly inexpensive for what we got. We have 71 great memories. It’s 1 set price no matter whether you took 50 pics or 200 pics. You get them all. Be sure to do a couple takes at the different stations to be sure you got a good shot of out it. We had several I wish we could do over, but I didn’t know at the time that it wasn’t a good shot. You can view them at stations throughout the park. We started with the water stuff, then changed, ate, and did the dry stuff. I wish I had known to just start dry and wear my swimsuit all day, then change to dry clothes at the end. That wld have saved us time. We rushed thru the Xensatorium and missed a few of the indoor stations because we ran out of time due to changing and eating. It can easily be done completely in 4-5 hours. I hope this review was helpful. So much of this I wish I had known in advance. Enjoy, well worth it and such a wonderful change from the norm. We really enjoyed it!
We booked our Xenses tickets directly via the Xcaret Website and took advantage of a discount for booking over 21 days prior to our arrival. Transportation was faultless, friendly team member and driver picked us up from the hotel at the designated time. We had a comfortable air con bus ride to and from the park. The trip is half a day and transport back is usually around 2-3pm. The attraction itself was fantastic, we started with the optical illusion town which blew my mind and then went on to complete the water activities (Take a Change of clothing) before visiting the other indoor and outdoor attractions Xenses had to offer! We completed the sensory deprivation attraction which was definitely an experience in itself and found loads of photo opportunities at the end to make use of our photo passes (optional extra - recommended!!) This was our third X park and as usual it did not disappoint, plenty to do. Great attractions, Friendly staff and immaculately kept. We had lunch in the cafe, which was reasonably priced and the food quality was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting whilst on holiday in Mexico!
The entire experience was amazing and unique. I have never seen or heard of this kind of park before. I loved it
This is a nice park with entertaining things to do. The layout is a tad bit confusing because of the rotunda layout and the signs (we are fluent in Spanish) are not prominently displayed. The pathway to the locker rooms is a bit silly as signs say women go one direction while men go the other direction - and everyone ends up in the same location (seems like that's meant to be part of the "senses" experience but it came across as a waste of time trying to figure out the directions). I would have preferred the ability to "fly" from all 3 nests but only nest 1 was open. It was not crowded the day we went and it seemed like the option to fly all 3 nests could have been available -- this would have made the experience much better because nest 1 ride lasts only 3-4 minutes (if that much). The "floating" experience in the blue cavern was not fulfilling. Noone in our party could float - the water just isn't deep enough to float. it was a nice ambience - but we ended up having to crawl or walk out. An employee barked at one of my kids for crawling instead of floating - but what the heck were we supposed to if he couldn't float?!! He had to crawl just to get out. I stood up and walked out and was prepared to bark back had this employee dared say something to me for finding my only possible way to get out. We didn't do the tobogan or the mud float. The hammocks were very nice! It was disappointing that our daughter could not do the Xensatorium. While the other members of our family did this experience, I took my daughter to see the flamingos, macaws, and water fall. This is a VERY nice area! There's also a limonade "tree" - it's good!! My wife appreciated all the photo ops but I found it extreme. Picture here, picture there...scan your bracelet here, scan it there, scan it everywhere. There's a photo op location just about everywhere except the toilets. I was even about the "fly" on the bird flight ride and when the guy pushed me to go he yells "scan your bracelet." (and the scanning station was on my right side while my bracelet was on my LEFT arm!) He almost made me stop midflight departure to try and reach across my body to scan the doggone machine!! Perhaps the highlight of the trip is the "pueblo" or "town." There are some hilarious signs (many of which are not translated to English - which for those who don't understand Spanish they will miss out on the humor behind the signs). I would go again and I do recommend this place despite it's few minor annoyances.
Such an amazing experience here!! We went with family for a part of 10 people. We opted to do the dry areas first and then the wet but it probably would have been better to just plan to do them together because we had to walk back to the lockers to change. Around every corner were unique surprises and experiences. This is definitely somewhere you want to buy the pictures and make use of all the picture set up spots. There are even photo pictures of recommended poses
Its was a very unusual and odd experience! We had a tour through different ecosystems in pitch black darkness, a walkway to experience what it would be like to be a giant or a dwarf, a little piece of Eden to interact with nature, the inside of the Earth among caverns and caves, fun optical illusions, and a delicious lemonade tree at Xitric Garden. Park has great locations for beautiful photos. There is a small Mexican Town that will test your balance. We have been trying different slides: relaxing salt river, fast water slide, mud slide. Kids also enjoyed Bird Flight zip-line. activities and fantastic scenarios to arouse your senses to the fullest. So the the overall experience was great! We had so many activities and fantastic scenarios to arouse your senses to the fullest!
Xsenses was my absolute favourite out of all the parks. It is filled with such interesting and unique activities and the photos are the best ones of the vacation. It is well worth it to pay for the photo package. We went as a couple and visited with transportation included as part of a tour which allowed us to enter right away. Walk around and do all of the activities around the gift shop before heading outside. We spent about four hours there and were able to do everything.
This was a hole new n exiting experexperience...only recomend pickups &drop off are NOT in the hotels, BUT a very closeby pickup point and it needs to be informes this vlearly we endedup spending on taxis when it was not nessesery...
The experience reminded me of child learning, watching their parents, listening, touching/feeling, and smelling! Xenses hit a home run with the over 50 crowd!
The fun begins before you even find your way to the bathrooms and locker rooms. Truly amazing day and break from the Cancun beaches. Unlike any other place we have been. Such a unique fun place! Would highly recommend. So many interesting experiences , kept us busy for 5 hours. Bring your bathing suit, towel and change of clothes ( and some body wash to shower- not included) Tour was reliable and communicated well.
Transportation to and from the park is quick and super helpful. This excursion is a little shorter as its only a half day, but its worth it for sure! The Ziplines and Cenote's are amazing, the little town is so cool, and the Xpa/Spa is so fun with the salt water float and the mud float. Get the photo package to not damage your phone and get the best photos. All the illusions are fun.
Wonderful! I enjoyes flying like a bird and the spa with lovely music . A sauna in a cave it is awesome. The view is also great. I will definitly came back in this park in the next years
Very fun. The pueblo is a highlight, as is the waterslide and mud. Lots of laughs. Right experience for kids age 10 and 9.
What an amazing park. The street I cannot describe you really have to experience it to believe it. You think your going up when your going down. Walking in a straight line is near impossible. Fabulous. Went on the water chute 3 times, 3 times on the bird flight. There are 3 different rides chutes all fantastic. So many great photo opportunities. I highly recommend paying for the photo wrist band cause there’s so many fun photos places. Our tour guide Gabriel that picked us on the bus from the hotel was brilliant, gives you plenty of information on the park and was willing and able to answer any questions thrown at him.
Fantastic, great park with excellent games for your senses, I will be back hopefully soon. I had a good time. 👍 recommended.
We had the biggest fun of our lives in this amazing park. It is split into water and non water activities. The floating river and mud river are really relaxing as well as the walk through sauna. The bird flight is fun but a little short. Our most favorite part was the „town“ really exiting optical illusion right from the beginning. Soooo much fun. Also the garden is so beautiful and there are adventures all over the place. Highly recommended to go there!!!!
We had a great day at Xenses, after being picked up and dropped off at the park, we had just over 3 hours to explore. We are very happy that we paid for the photo pass as there were lots of opportunities for photos and this was good value. Not to give too much away as you really have to experience it yourself, but some highlights were the Street, the bird flight and the Xensatorium. The gift shop at the end of the experience also had a lot of unique items.
