Awesome time, food was great. Had fun taking pictures. Tower was fun but couldn't go up top to take pictures and then go all the way back down and stand in line to go down slide. Other than that, fun times by all.

I want to give a shout-out to Valeria for her outstanding customer service! After getting eaten alive by mosquitoes while participating in the jungle activities, I needed help finding the right medication, and Valeria was wonderful. She was incredibly sweet, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful in making sure I got exactly what I needed. Her ability to speak English so well was an added bonus, especially as she patiently helped me while I attempted to communicate in my very questionable Spanish! Employees like Valeria are exactly what every business needs. She is a great example of what excellent customer service should look like. Thank you, Valeria!
You have to get up early. You will spend a couple hours getting there and a couple hours getting back if you are in Cancun.
Just Amazing experience. A to Z!! Nothing to add, transport, food, staff, activities. Will come back for sure!!
This place is once in a lifetime experience. So awesome! Way better than Disneyland.
This was one of the biggest disappointments of my trip to Mexico. When I booked the excursion, I expected a lot more. The place was packed and a rat race of people and their kids running around with no regards to anyone else. Xel Ha also blatantly exploits the wild life in the park, handling wildlife in ways that seem unethical. I don't know how I missed the manatee attractions in my research before booking , but watching the two manatees being manhandled for corporate financial gain was pretty gross. Same with the dolphins. I thought the dolphins were free roaming in the park instead of captive and tiny little areas like the manatees. For this reason alone, I would have skipped it all together if I would have known. It seems like a SeaWorld level of unethical extortion. I know sargassum is a problem during the summer season, but there should have been a warning about how the slides use the seawater and dump you into a basin of it at the bottom. The entire ride down the slides, you're getting splashed in the face in eyes with salt water that burns. If you happen to go in the summertime like I did, then you get the of awful, rotting smell of sargassum thrown in your nose the whole way down. Towards the end, it goes from an open slide to and enclosed tube that violently accelerates out of nowhere and throws you around. I hit my head a few times and was essentially waterboarded before getting tossed in the pool of salt water in a state of discombobulation. I thought I was drowning and I'm a very good swimmer. A lifeguard had to come help me up and it took me a good 3 or 4 minutes to recover from what had happened. I love water slides and am quite the adrenaline junkie, but this was not a pleasant experience in the slightest. It remains the only water slide. I refused to ride a second time. Plus, the people and their children kept trying to cut in front of me and I lost at least six spaces in line due to selfish individuals who couldn't wait their turn. The snorkeling was extremely underwhelming. Since I have been to Costa Rica and had a wonderful time seeing a vast amount of marine life, I had an expectation of similar caliber for this park. Not only did it not live up to the expectations I had, but the whole water system was a disappointment. I didn't expect to wish that I was back home on the small, local River because it was more interesting. Plus, there would have been much less annoying lines to jump off a "cliff" that was much smaller than I am accustomed to. The zip lines and other activities on the river were gimmicky and pretty boring if you have done any respectable ones prior. All this felt like a giant Kiddie Park rather than something for all ages. Plus, the tubes they have are an absolute joke and not even worth it. The buffet selections are abysmal. The only thing I liked out of the selections were the lime soup and some of the fruit. Everything else was mediocre or terrible, and I am in no way shape or form finicky. Most of their meat choices were awful; I packedy plate with supposed local specialties, but it all made me immediately wish I left it all on the buffet line. I didn't even bother finishing most things I picked up, and I never waste food. While the regional selections were were disappointing at best, the other two were even worse. The all-inclusive package was the biggest waste of money. The drinks were also watered down. I had four margaritas in one sitting, and the only thing I've noticed was a brain freeze. Not that I was trying to get drunk, but I should have felt something from having four margaritas in less than 15 minutes time. At the end of the day, I just wanted something basic that couldn't possibly be messed up, so I picked up a couple pieces of pizza. I wasn't even expecting anything special, just something like Tony's, Totino's, or any other basic, frozen pizza. What I got was a lukewarm piece of cardboard with no sauce and flavorless cheese. The taste was terrible and was hard to chew. I've never been so disappointed in cuisine in my life, and I used to be homeless and eat anything I could get my hands on when I was 18. Cold clam chowder straight out of the can for breakfast as a hobo was better than Xel Ha. The only decent thing was the transportation. It was worth paying the extra for transportation if you do not have a car because you would have paid more for a transfer or bus and subsequent taxi ride. The buses were nice and comfortable. It's sad that leaving was the best part of the whole trip. Do yourself a favor, and skip this absolute waste of time and money.
Booked direct via Xel ha website. The Xel ha bus picked us up on time from our hotel in playa del Carmen. We took 45 minutes to get there. Brilliant host telling us all the do’s and don'ts enroute. Park is spotless. Towels available for free. Head for the red zone because this is central. Lockers are free. Suncream is banned apart from reef friendly brands. Snorkels included, scanned out and in by your wrist band. Restaurants good quality and drinks brilliant. We had 9.5 hour day here and loved every minute! Beach shoes a must. Ladies/girls wear some shorts, much more comfy with the life jacket strap between your legs.
Good experience overall, would not recommend going down the giant slide if you are over 30 or over 170 lbs. Tubing was the most enjoyable part
Stay at the expensive Xcaret arte, and was very underwhelmed that the Xelha experienced is mostly upsells. All the nice experiences are at the xtra charge, and you are left until 5pm , stranded, so you have to pay extra. Beautiful place, horrible deceiving price structure, insanely overpriced. Just stay at the hotel parks, Xplora, xenses.
Great family day out. The bus pickup and drop off was great. Photo package for $110 was good value for money. The all inclusive package included everything we needed on the day: food, snorkling kit, life vest, towel, unlimited drinks and ice cream. The employees work their socks off keeping the place clean and tidy. Well done to all.
We went to Xel-há with a 6 year old and 8 year old. They were able to participate in all of the included activities and had a great time. Transportation to and from the resort was easy and comfortable. Xel-há provides everything you need: food, drinks, towels, lockers included in the all inclusive ticket price so it makes for an easy, fun day. I had difficulty downloading my tickets via the link provided by Viator but a quick call to customer service fixed the problem and they sent me a PDF of our tickets. Overall it was such a great experience and we will go again next time we are in the area.
Park is beautiful but slightly overpriced (some activities are not included in the admission fee). Tour guide on the way there was very nice and open to questions. Return drive wasn’t all that great, bus driver explained instructions in spanish and declared “no english”. Was overspeeding and driving like he had no people in his vehicle. Overall, would recommend (minus the return drive experience)
Great place for families. Don’t let the hotel tour sales people fool you. Plenty of fish here for good snorkeling. Only draw back is people trying to upsell you the additional activities. If your into snorkeling, no need to buy anything more than just entrance tickets
Great time. Snorkeling was awesome despite what hotel tour sales people say. There are plenty of fish to see up close and personal
Fantastic day had by all, the younger kids thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling and my eldest love the speedboat ride. Buffet breakfast and lunch was good, plenty of choice & lots of varieties.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Experience — Thank You, Xel-Há Team! My family and I visited Xel-Há Park on July 3, 2026. Unfortunately, during our visit, another tourist—not a park employee—somehow gained access to my locker, took my bag into the restroom, and stole approximately $600 USD in cash and my Samsung Galaxy S25 phone. We discovered what had happened when we returned to the locker area to get a few things so we could continue enjoying our day. My bag was missing, and while we were looking around, an employee found it. That was when we realized that my money and phone had been stolen. We immediately reported the incident to security, and that is when we saw how much the employees at Xel-Há truly care about their guests. The lady working at the Brown Station locker area immediately contacted security. Mr. Benito from security was absolutely amazing. He was supportive, calm, professional, and genuinely concerned. He assured us that the team would do everything possible to identify the person responsible. He simply asked us to give them some time to review the cameras and investigate. We decided to continue with our day, although, of course, we were frustrated and upset. What impressed us was that everywhere we went, Xel-Há employees reassured us that the team was actively working on our case. When we visited the information center, Elizabeth apologized for what had happened and explained that the team was reviewing the security cameras. At that point, I was very pessimistic. I truly believed that my phone and money were gone forever. Mr. Benito spoke with me again and said, “Go enjoy the park with your family and come back in an hour or two. We should have an update for you.” I followed his advice. Even though I was upset and frustrated, I wanted to keep a smile on my face for my children and make the best of the situation. After we finished enjoying the water tubes, we returned to ask for another update. I was told that the investigation was still ongoing. I was beginning to lose hope, but what I didn’t know was that the entire Xel-Há team was working behind the scenes, using their security resources to identify, locate, and track the person responsible. Then something happened that I will never forget. Rodrigo found me while I was with my family. He apologized for everything we had experienced and explained how the team had spent hours identifying and locating the person responsible. Then he told me the words I never expected to hear: “I have your stuff.” They had recovered my phone and my money! I still cannot believe it. What the Xel-Há team did was absolutely amazing. They used their security systems, their resources, and their teamwork to make sure the person responsible was identified and that my belongings were returned to me. The professionalism was impressive, but what touched us the most was the genuine care and concern shown by the staff throughout the entire situation. They treated us like our problem mattered to them personally. Thank you to the entire Xel-Há and Xcaret team. A very special thank you to Benito, Rodrigo, Elizabeth, the staff at the Brown Station locker area, the security team, and everyone else who worked behind the scenes to help us. My family and I will never forget what you did for us. You turned an extremely upsetting experience into an unforgettable example of kindness, professionalism, dedication, and excellent customer service. You all will always have a very special place in our hearts. We will absolutely be back. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you—from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
The transport is there to pick up sharp at the hotel and we were at the park right at 9am when they opened. What can I say about this piece of paradise? Magnificent! This was a breath of fresh air since there was sargassum at our hotel beach, but minimal here (just at La Cueva de Los Secretos since it kinda opens to the ocean a bit). We did the slides at the lighthouse first, then went to the lazy river, then did the zip lines. The park is big, but getting there at 9am and leaving at 6pm there’s plenty of time. Some attractions we did twice. It was not crowded at all, even for a Friday. The foods and drinks were amazing and plentiful with several options. Overall we had an amazing time and will return again if visiting the area.
Don't book the tour with this and doing separate cenotes in the same day, it would be too much. You will want a full day at this park in itself. Overall a good day though, but when we were sold visiting "cenotes" then those were disappointing in comparison to others in the Yucatan. In the water park, they are actually replacing the signs which say cenotes with the word "caves" which are more fitting. The park claims to have 50 activities and our all inclusive isn't truly that, you have to pay for many extras, but things like snorkeling, lazy river, caves are included. I would say there is mainly about a dozen things to do total, but they probably are including platforms in the water, photo ops, etc as separate things-to-do. The children's play area was pretty nice with a small trail of elevated walkways to challenge the kids. The lifeguards there blow their whistle for about everything, even at adults. Lifejackets are mandatory everywhere when in the water, even in shallow areas. There are lifejackets for all ages (including infants) and people of all sizes and they are readily available throughout the entire park, so you don't have to carry them from stop to stop. The main buffet included in our all inclusive was decent, but the same dishes throughout the day from breakfast to dinner. If you want dinner you have to get there at least 30 minutes before they close because right at closing time there is a mad rush of employees packing it all up and throwing everything out. They cleanup everything in under 10 minutes, so don't go last minute and expect to eat. Even the ice cream runs out by the end of the day. The other smaller buffet restaurants were ok too for lunch, with less variety. The walk around the entire park is a few miles long so if you are on the far side of the lake, beyond the floating bridge then give yourself ample time to get back. If you decide to float down the lazy river to get back, the jump out point isn't clearly marked. But, you can (for free) leave your stuff in a locked bag, and they will bring it to the end of the lazy river (near the park entrance) so you don't have to worry about getting it all wet. The lazy river will take you 1+ hour to get through, if you don't stop so give yourself time to get back, change, eat, etc before you need to depart. I wouldn't suggest starting the lazy river after 2:30pm. We were in Cancun during a very slow season, so the lazy river was not that busy. The line for the water slide which goes around the "lighthouse" was less than 10 people when we got to the top (lots of stairs, no elevator). So it was nice to not have to wait in line. You would think the water slide would be fast, but it was much slower than I expected, other than the final drop at the end. Water shoes are allowed in most of the park and I would recommend having them, but they are not allowed on the water slide to prevent injury. Overall for the price per person it was kinda costly, but included transport which was helpful. The transport driver was mad at us because we were late to come out due to the baby having a poopy diaper, but with a 1+ hour transport we had to change him so the other vehicle passengers didn't need to smell it. He was speeding back afterward and got pulled over by the police and given a ticket which delayed us more returning.
Food was good but there were no bicycles to ride to the trails and no one explained the photo points of interest or the price until the end. We would've paid for the photo package had we taken photos at each spot.
Very good park, and very nice trip
Xel-Ha provided an outstanding water park experience. The ticket I purchased offered delicious food, drinks, and numerous activities, ensuring a full day of enjoyment. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the park was impeccably maintained. Highly recommended!
Brilliant water park with so much to see and do. Everything is very well organised with conveniently spaced locker/shower stations and plenty of towels available (although the towels could have been bigger). Food and drink options are all great and the staff all welcoming and friendly. The grounds themselves are gorgeous and really pleasant to just walk around and enjoy. Worth the ticket price. Do ensure you have a waterproof phone case (to take lots of pictures) and some water shoes though.
Went for a day trip and booked through the resort. Transportation to the park was included and went seamlessly. Entrance to the park is easy as they use the wrist bands, plenty of lockers around the site. We enjoyed using the red lockers as they were quite central to everything and had a large changing station. Plenty of towels, snorkel equipment, life jackets and tubes. If you can use a solo tube, I recommend as the double tubes are hard to navigate down the lazy river and the long trek back to the main area through the water. Only thing we had an issue with was the food. The food was decent but gave a few people in our group upset stomachs. Maybe stay away from the pasta. Otherwise it was a great time. They push you to do the add on experiences but we didn’t do any of that and still filled the day with activities.
If you go to Xel ha, you don’t need to rush anywhere, you have plenty of time to experience it all and enjoy it!
Great park with an abundance of activities. Fun for the whole family.
Our day at Xel-Há Park was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The park itself is stunning—crystal-clear water, tons of wildlife, and so many fun activities to choose from. We tubed the river, ziplined, cliff diving, and the light house slide. But what really made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Johnny Bravo. He was knowledgeable, funny, and kept everything running smoothly while making sure we had the best time possible. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows in the way he takes care of his group. Highly recommend Xel-Há, and if you can get Johnny Bravo as your guide, you’re in for an even better experience!
Our family of 5 had a fantastic day out at this park. Our transportation was included from our hotel and just collected us and another party so no stoping at 20+ places for collection. The park was well laid out and easy to navigate. Lots of lifeguards about so I felt safe in the water with our children. All equipment was provided and was easy to use and in good condition. We ate several meals and all food and service was good. The activities are brilliant and kept us well entertained all day. Our kids are 15, 13 & 9 and all loved the park. The staff were all excellent, no queue as so many staff and all very helpful and well trained to carry out their duties. It was one of our more expensive days out so I was hesitant at first but seeing what we got for our money I now believe we actually got good value. A fantastic day out that I would do again if I ever returned on holiday and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
We booked as a family of 2 adults and 1 x 11 year old. We also booked via Tui direct at our hotel. This was a stunning place it was by far such a relaxing place to be in. The extras were cheaper the Xcaret but shorter I can’t comment on these or mention much here. They have so many lockers, towels inc so u don’t need to take your own plus food and drink inc alcohol. The park is stunning sadly it poured lunchtime when the locals say leave your table and shelter u move 🤣 the temperature then dropped and it poured all pm so this isn’t a park to visit in rain as the Caribbean Sea rolls in and there’s no shelter anywhere. So many snorkel sites, lazy river was fab if Mexican people understood that! They were in a rush 🙄 a really lovely site to visit and around 30mins from hotel Grand Sirienis. Worth a visit 100%
It was fun spend the whole time there and the staff was fun and amazing
Best water park I have been to. Great activities, good cocktails & very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Generally, this is a great day out which we've done before. The food is good, the snorkeling safe and very interesting. The lazy river inflatable ride is normally very pleasurable, however on this occasion it revealed a very serious safety issue that Xcaret need to address immediately before someone is seriously or even fatally injured! A freak gust of wind blew my wife and young daughter straight across the closest zip wire route and if the participant, who was a big lady, hadn't seen the danger and let go of the zip wire early, plummeting from quite a height straight down into the water, all would have been seriously injured. There needs to be a non-crossable barrier between the zip wires and lazy river as this could easily happen again! All there is currently, is a partially sunken rope with occasional floats; this stops nothing??? The zip wire operator should have not allowed the lady to go down the line, plus the attendant life guards didn't vigilantly do their job instead they were busily chatting to each other, oblivious of the impending danger! Eventually one of them swam over and pushed my traumatised wife and daughter to safely, after the event. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION Xcaret Group and resolve this very serious issue.......install a safe & effective safety barrier!
Great time at Xel-ha park! However, the ticket says light it should indicate that the food option is required & cannot be purchased a-la cart as its buffet style
Xel-Ha was an amazing experience in every possible way except for the price. They run a brilliantly smooth operation from the front gate through every activity. The food was absolutely delicious (100 times better than BP Grand Coba). Every staff member was incredibly helpful, friendly with my wife and our boisterous boys, and knew how to expertly pace the experience. The photo package is a MUST and the photo stations set the standard for every theme park and experience I'll ever visit going forward. Power Snorkeling (shout out to Santiago and Carlos) was hands-down the coolest thing I've ever done on vacation. The management should be proud of their hiring, training, attention to detail, and commitment to high quality service.
They dropped us off early so we truly had all day. Our 3 young girls (4, 7, and 10) loved it. Transportation was organized and timely.
Transportation worked 5*. Food and drink all you can eat and drink in the park. I had two boys of 11 and 8 and they loved all the attractions. Please be aware if you have kids <12 years old, they cannot participate in nearly any extra paid activity. This was the only downside, but the park has enough to do for one day.
Only get the all inclusive. There is nothing to purchase from any restaurant. Amazing park, loads of workers who are all very friendly! Only go if you like the water. Not for young children or anyone with mobility challenges.
Felipe and Jesus were amazing would definitely come back just because of them
Great adventures, awesome memories and I lost my shoes, but was able to easily locate it at the lost and found. Nice friendly staff. Thank you Melany!
We were hopeful it would not be too busy and we were happily pleased with the outcome. The day was so well organized and the park and the staff were awesome. Food was delicious and again ran so smoothly and efficiently. Lots of supplies everywhere like snorkels, masks, life jackets. No shortage of anything and lots to do and see. Would highly recommend for all ages.
We went to Xel-ha on March 2026. Spent the entire day there. We went as a party o 11 - 4 kids and 7 adults. This park is not all inclusive - BUT it is very enjoyable. The food and drinks are free as well as water activities such as snorkeling and tubing in the river. Special experiences such as swimming with the dolphin, stingray and manatee are extra costs. Fish spa, massages and photo passes are also extra cost. Our party decided to do the dolphin interaction. It came as a package with the free photo pass. it was $120 USD per person and the pictures with the dolphins was an extra $420 USD (we split the cost of the pictures). The interaction last 20 minutes and you get to touch and kiss the dolphins. The kids loved it and we had to buy the pictures. The food was great. We did breakfast then dolphin encounter then lunch. WE were always full! We then went snorkeling. The masks were not the best, as they kept sliding down with sudden movement. We tied the ends but it was just not working for us. The sea life was awesome though. There are lots of areas where you scan your bracelet to take a picture. We definitely indulged in this as it was part of the dolphin package. The big tower slide is for adults only. You have to be a good swimmer to go as you definitely go down fast and submerge deep in the water. River tubing. For the love of GOD do not do the double tubes. We had 3 double tubes. 1 kid in the front and the adult at the back. We were straining our necks to move the tubes. We ended up ditching the tubes and swimming in the river. The river is MASSIVE so we stopped at the zipline. Which was great as we enjoyed doing the zipline. OH! merch here? Expensive. We bought 3 tiny fans and it cost us 100 USD. So maybe don't buy merch. All in all, it was an awesome experience.
We loved it at Xel Ha park. We love to snorkel, but are getting older and have health issues such as a bad knee, so were a bit concerned about the ease of entry and exit, but there was no need to be concerned. there were lots of spots to enter and exit the snorkel areas, all of them with easy steps going fairly deep into the water, and all of them having a railing as well. The viewing was AMAZING. We saw an abundance of fish, including a fairly large sting ray.
A whole day of fun and the sun with lots of rest and relaxation down the lazy river or resting in hammocks. An endless day of snorkeling and adventure through jungle pathways left so much to be discovered. We will definitely come back to Xel-Ha the next time we visit Mexico. Such a beautiful country ❤️
We had a full day fun! Speed boat was definitely worth a try, it's not that scary but fun and exciting. We didn't snorkel, I don't think there are many fishes there )but I could be wrong). Zip lines were short but nice. Lazy river was OK, somehow I went slower than everyone else and caused traffic... Photo package was worth it IMO. Food was really good for the buffet style. Drink servers were a bit slow. Bus conductor told us not to take any cash, but we did have to pay with credit card, also I wanted to tip the bartender. I wish the bus left on time instead of waiting for late people. Overall it was a great experience and we'll do it again!
Beautiful snorkeling, swimming & wildlife. This park is a must visit if you are in the Riviera Maya. The food is amazing, the staff is gracious, the accommodations make your entire day comfortable. There is something for the entire family to do. Make sure you move around the whole park, there are hidden places in every corner to enjoy. We will definitely be back!
Go here. You are free to swim wherever you want, do whatever you want, it’s incredibly organized and fancy. Transport to and from resort was in a luxury bus. Amazing experience
Great nature experiences, floating or snorkelling down the river through the mangrove and in the cenotes. Saw fish, and also the captive dolphins and manatees. They provide lots of other diversions but just enjoying the natural outdoors will be enough for a day. High quality well maintained. All facilities good
Great trip, friendly staff some of the best snorkeling in the cancun area, with calm waters. food is OK
A full experience with everything Xel-Ha has to offer..!! From hammocks to floating the lazy river..Real family fun. !!
We enjoyed a great day of outdoor activities in this beautiful park setting. The food selection and quality was great, especially the dinner! Every employee is positive and service-oriented. I lost my prescription glasses and clip-on sunglasses. Your team found them quickly and gracefully.
Transport was on time, comfortable and not far to the park from our hotel. Guide was informative about what to expect when we arrived. The park is lovely with so much natural beauty. We found the initial walk to lockers a little far and confusing on how to get a locker key and then operate the lockers. Some activities are not included and must be paid extra for but we did not do any of these. We enjoyed the included activities instead. We enjoyed it all but is all very waterbased so if not everyone in the family is into swimming etc, a park such as xplor might be better. Snorkeling is incredible! If in the rivers you will see more fish towards the edges of the rivers not in the centre. Nearer to the sea you can see rays if you are lucky! Food and drinks included all day. Food was decent but better at xplor. Alcoholic cocktails were lovely, I had an excellent Margarita. All in all if you are into water activities I definatley recommend this!!
