It's a fantastic journey but bring some sort of nature safe mosquito protection and go as soon as you can due to the reefs being damaged.

We had an amazing day here as a family, we booked tickets via Get Your Guide which was seamless and included hotel pick up and drop off. We were the first in the park and the first on the lighthouse slide which was amazing, there is plenty do here even if you don’t pay for any upgrades. The food places were great with lots of choices, something for everyone, the staff were lovely. You defiantly get your steps in here, although it doesn’t feel tiring as you are constantly stopping and starting, we attended on a cloudy day which helped we think as the sun didn’t beat down on you but the humidity was still high and we got eaten alive by the mosquitos, they even got us through swim wear. We never felt like the park was packed and never had to que for anything which was a nice change, maybe as the weather wasn’t forecast as great. I am not a water lover and this trip was booked more for everyone else to enjoy but I was certainly brought out of my comfort zone several times and did things I never though I would do, the zip lines are good fun. The only thing we didn’t like was the size of the enclosures for the dolphins and manatees, they seemed very small and cramped, especially for the manatees. Overall a really good day out and would highly recommend it.
Definitely worth the cost of the admission fee! One day wasn't enough to experience the entire park. The atmosphere was very friendly and it wasn't overly crowded the day of my visit. The staff were fantastic -- attentive and willing to assist you in any way possible.
One of the best experience in Cancun, we enjoyed the activities in the river, bike, animals and the food. (delicious and authentic Mexican). I will back again!
We have been here a good few times and always loved it mainly because of the huge lagoon and amazing snorkelling available. After this most recent visit I just dont think we will ever go back .. actually felt quite sad when we left. The lagoon has gone from paradise to feeling like you are swimming through excrement .. not sure what it was but it looked like sh!t everywhere, the volume and range of fish has also dramatically reduced since we were there 3 years ago. The queues for everything .. food, cliff diving, zip lines were also a lot bigger, lack of queues had previously been a massive positive. Overall I just think the place is being ruined by overuse and corporate greed, this isn`t just a seasonal thing or a one off bad experience as I`ve spoken to others who have seen the decline over time This was a magical place ... and could be again but unfortunately now its just an expensive very average day out
I was very disappointed with this purchase. I spent 560.00 dollars for the all inclusive admission for 4 people. The snorkeling was atrocious. I wouldn't waste any time out there unless you go over by the sting rays. You snorkel outside of the enclosed area, but you can see the rays and some very large fish. The water is very murky everywhere else and you only see random fish every now and then. The jump platforms are fun. The lighthouse slide was underwhelming as were the ziplines. Way too many people on the lazy river, but the scenery was impressive and peaceful. Breakfast was pretty bad, but lunch was very good. You can eat and drink as much as you want so get your money's worth. The cenotes are average as was the secret cave. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have younger children that haven't seen or done these things elsewhere. I would say to save the money and pay for a snorkel excursion or even a learn to scuba diving excursion. My 3 teenage children loved that way more. You take a short class...learn in the pool then go on a real dive about 40 feet down and see great stuff....47 minutes for us. Dan at the Riu Yucatan is advanced certified and we had him as our teacher and guide. If you are a strong swimmer and comfortable in the water, it was way worth the money. Overall...skip this unless your kids are younger.
The whole day and experience was our best family day in Mexico! It is such a well designed and exciting, adventurous day out! We started with a bike ride through the trees to the start of the lazy river, which was such an exciting start, drifting Under the canopy of the mangroves and popping out in to the open river, finding a cliff to jump off and then swim/float on down to the fabulous zip lines in to the water. That was just the morning! Around every corner there was something new to do and challenge ourselves. The park was clean, safe, well landscaped and super exciting for our children (8,10,13&15yrs old) and for us as adults! We would highly recommend it to any families with adventurous kids.
Xelha offers a great experience for everyone. From kids to adults there is something to do. I love the combination of nature and adrenaline. Love it and will come back
I highly recommend visiting this absolutely stupendous waterpark on any trip to Tulum Mexico. We have been to many water parks in the United States and are none that compare with the excellence of this waterpark. It is a beautiful venue, and there are many activities included in the price of . One of the best things about it is the inclusion of the price for food and drinks, including alcohol all day long. This was our favorite activity on our trip to Tulum Mexico. Every single thing about it was stupendous, and we loved it! Highly recommended!
Exelente love this park!!Love the restaurant and open bar
The park was very nice. My family enjoyed the park . I love the nature of park, the fauna, the atmosphere. Everything it’s equipped with everything. Lockers, towels, equipment for swimming, food , drinks, the service was excellent!!!! I highly recommend!!! Note : Just the pictures are expensive!
It Was Amazing, all the People in xelha were very Kind
Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful natural parks I've ever visited. Crystal-clear water, breathtaking scenery, and so many activities to enjoy—from snorkeling and cliff jumps to zip lines, cenotes, and floating down the river. If you're visiting the Riviera Maya, this place is an absolute must. The perfect mix of adventure, nature, and unforgettable memories. Thank you, Xel-Há, for such an amazing experience! 🌊☀️🐠 #Xelha #RivieraMaya #Mexico #Travel #Adventure #Nature
It was supposed to be a park for snorkeling. That’s what the billboards show. Everything was dead in the water when we snorkeled. No vibrant plant or animal life whatsoever. The water was full of sunscreen and the chemicals from it. You could see it. The water was literally greasy, unclear under the surface. Almost no fish and we swam through the entire park and mangrove river looking for them. We only found a few clusters of fish. Xel-Ha is already expensive and the regular ticket doesn’t include a lot of the “worth it” activities, like swimming with dolphins or sting rays. The sting rays and dolphins are the only authentic part of the park with true sea life. That’s what we thought. Everything has died. There’s really not much else! If you’re looking for ocean life or great snorkeling experiences, go somewhere else! Do not go to Xel-Ha. Also, the manatee exhibit was closed off to tourists when we went because of construction or something. And the water slide was slow. The food was average. I know it sounds like I’m being a hater but I really don’t want a family to waste $500-700 on a vacation day there when it is truly not worth it. The Yucatan peninsula has so many other options. If you are already on your way, if you are driving, please stop in Akumal before you get to Xel-Ha for a real snorkeling experience. The reef is exploding with abundance. You will save time, money, and life. We stopped in Akumal after our day at Xel-Ha because we were so disappointed and sad. We were SO sad. My local boyfriend went to Xel-Ha 10 years ago and at that time, the water was full of flourishing life and hundreds of fish. But not anymore. It’s really sad to see what’s happened to the ecosystem there now. Xel-Ha is killing their office. They are killing what puts the food on their tables. I hope they can find a way to fix it
While Xel-Há is a beautiful park, our experience was negatively impacted by poor customer service and inconsistent information. First, an employee named Sharon at check-in window one was un profesional. She clearly knew I was next in line, yet repeatedly allowed locals and others to go ahead of me. I politely but firmly pointed out that she was aware I had been waiting, but she completely ignored my concerns. It was frustrating and disrespectful. Second, there seemed to be confusion regarding restaurant hours throughout the park. It felt as though some locations were effectively closing service about 30 minutes before the posted time, which created unnecessary confusion for guests trying to plan their meals. The most frustrating example was when a park employee at the Information center directed us to La Parrilla Restaurant because we were specifically looking for a steak option. After making the trip there, we were told they were closed at 4:30 PM even though the posted closing time was 5:00 PM. When I questioned this, the explanation changed to, “We’re open, but we only have snacks and no meat available.” Had they simply been honest from the beginning, we could have saved time and gone elsewhere. Xel-Há has many wonderful attractions, but better staff training, clearer communication, and respect for guests’ time would greatly improve the overall experience.
Absolutely fantastic facility and staff. Highly recommend.
Definitely go for the all day admission. We visited Xel-Há during our trip to Cancun/Riviera Maya and overall had a very enjoyable experience. One of the biggest positives was that lockers and towels were included at no additional charge, which was very convenient and appreciated. The breakfast and lunch buffets offered fairly decent food with a good variety of options available throughout the day. While the food was not necessarily outstanding, there was enough selection for everyone in our group to find something they enjoyed. One of our favorite activities was the lazy river tubing through the mangroves. It was relaxing, scenic, and one of the most enjoyable parts of the park experience. The natural beauty throughout the park really makes it feel unique compared to other attractions in the area. The main attraction for us was the spiral waterslides, and while they were fun, we honestly found them a little slower and less exciting than they were hyped up to be. They were still enjoyable, just not quite the thrill we expected based on reviews and advertisements. Overall, Xel-Há is a beautiful park with relaxing attractions, helpful amenities, and a fun atmosphere. We would recommend it for families and visitors looking for a more laid-back adventure day in Riviera Maya
Amazing day out from Playa del carmen. As with all Xcaret parks the transport was on time, clean and friendly. Stephanie on the bus explained everything to us and recommended the best way to start the park! The river was so much fun! We also loved the floating bridge it was funny to just people watch and see everyone trying to cross.
Our whole family had a great time at Xel-Ha. We really enjoyed the lazy river (did it twice). The slide was very exciting! It was a great day!
We enjoyed our visit to Xel-Ha overall, however the water was distorted from all the sunscreen which made it difficult to see the reefs and wildlife. It was also quite crowded. Tubing down the lazy river and going down the massive slide was our favorite activity overall! Purchase the photo package with your tickets or else it's more expensive to purchase the day of at the park, and be prepared for lots of people around.
Beautiful setting, very well organised and landscaped. Lots of wildlife including lizards, small mammals, birds as well as fish/ rays. We had the light package and there was no way to buy any food without upgrading to all inclusive. Snorkels were only all in one . Some questionable ethics with the dolphin encounters.
Such a beautiful place! Family of 4 (teens aged 14 and 16) had a great time. Got there at park opening and did everything plus Sea Trek and were ready to go around 4pm.
Clean, well organized, and large enough to spend a full day there. A fun family adventure! Be prepared to walk quite a bit.
The information when I purchased the tickets is not true it said that everything is included but when we arrived in the park we have to pay more for that you page is not is true
We absolutely loved Xel-Há. The park is stunning, beautifully maintained and feels like a perfect mix of nature and adventure. One of the best things is that almost everything is included — food, drinks, towels and the majority of activities — which makes the day feel relaxed and great value. Any experiences that cost extra are clearly explained, so there are no surprises. There’s so much to do, from swimming and snorkelling to simply relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It’s incredibly well organised and easy to spend a full day there without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend Xel-Há for both families and couples. It’s a memorable experience and somewhere we would happily return to.
Nice park but a lot of walking. A bit overpriced for what is there. My great grandson enjoyed his time with the dolphins but that was an extra charge. Go th Jungle Place instead, more bang for your buck
We were considering purchasing a one day "Resort pass" through a popular app. To have a nice day at an all inclusive, but we read reviews that food , service and available chairs were not always great, even at a nice resort we had chosen. The cost with all the fees using the Resort Pass would have been about $115. each, with no guarantees that we would be able to even get a beach or pool chair due to the Chair reserving that is common at all inclusive resorts. I also wanted to snorkel and visit a cenote while in Play del Carmen, and the hassle and reviews were mixed with so many to chose from. Then I looked into Xel-há. It checked off all the boxes and then some! The Xcaret Group which runs Xel-Há is a first class organization, think of it as a Mexico Disney type conglomerate. Xel-há is "built" into a natural inlet off the ocean and is a natural water sport theme park, for lack of a better description. Not the plastic thrill ride kind of water park...an ocean inlet water paradise. It is also an all inclusive Resort for a day concept, with a AYCE breakfast buffet, Lunch buffet and all day drinks included. There was never a shortage of areas to lounge... with or without shade ...between water experiences and ample bars to order a drink. The buffets offered a wide variety of Mexican and American foods and the service at the table for drinks such as coffee or a margarita was fantastic. Don't waste your time snorkeling the river area...it's much better at the inlet (swim to the edge across tbe inlet or the coral island closer by. I saw lots of fish and even a 3ft sting ray. There are tons of floating chairs to use and never a shortage of snorkel gear. The lazy river float through the mongoose trees was cool and the hike across the inlet was dramatic with a small cave, cenote and jump off cliff. The zip line isn't over the jungle canopy, but into the water and was a great way to cool.off. you can grab a bike for the jungle walk or hop a tram. There are alot of things offered that cost extra, but we were there to eat, drink, snorkel, float and enjoy a nice day of relaxation. 10 stars for meating that objective! And WAY better than a Resort Pass day!
We did the Xel-Ha "Light" non all-inclusive option (no food). We had been to Xel-Ha before, but many years ago, and a lot has changed since then. At the station to get snorkeling equipment, you don't get any direction on where to enter the water, where you're likely to see more fish, etc., and when we asked staff members questions we got looked at like we were idiots. The snorkeling was ho hum at very best. We saw very few fish, and one sting ray. The day we went it was very windy; swimming out was easy, but swimming back presented a challenge. I'm a pretty strong swimmer (especially with flippers), and I couldn't make any headway trying to swim back across the lagoon. I finally had to swim to the boardwalk and swim my way around the edges where there was less wind, which took considerable time. The lazy river was a crapshow. We got three different sets of directions on how to get to the train that takes you up to the top of the river. It was a 10 minute walk on an uneven cobbled path, good luck to you if you don't have swim shoes (which we didn't and it sucked hard). We waited for the "train" (a half ton truck towing train cars) for close to ten minutes. It parked to collect passengers, then another truck towing a trailer with pedal bikes pulled in, blocking the train. We had to wait until the bikes were all unloaded and the other truck to get out of the way before we could leave. Very efficient. 🙄 At the lazy river when you get your floaty seat, they should probably give some instruction on what to do if you get trapped in an area with no current. The first part of the river is as you would envision, but further on it opens up into a large inlet, and the current seems to flow only through the central area. On either side the flow dies and you're "dead in the water". This happened to me, I couldn't paddle my way back into the current no matter what I did. I didn't want to get off my floaty because there was no way I'd get back on it if I needed to, and it was a good half mile swim minimum back to the lagoon....I didn't want to do that either. I paddled like a madman to get to the edge so I could grab onto rocks and vines, and I pulled myself around the outer edge for about an eight of a mile till I got to the stairs for the cliff dive. I figured I would abandon my floaty there (as clearly many had judging by the number of empty floaties in the water), climb up and figure out how to walk back. After about 5 minutes walk (again, on rough cobbled path with no swim shoes), I came to a map, figured out where I was and where I had to walk to. It was a good distance, I walked over 20 minutes total. My feet weren't very happy. The park should make some recommendations, like bring your swim shoes because you may end up walking longer distances on hard terrain, and outline the scenarios you may encounter on the lazy river. There was a woman with a small child who got trapped outside the current the same way I did and she didn't know what she was going to do. Like I said, crapshow. The Xel-Ha website warns that they only allow use mineral sunscreen, you may be required to shower if you're wearing chemical sunscreen, containers of chemical sunscreen may be confiscated, etc. etc. What a load of bull. The word sunscreen was never mentioned one time by any park staff in any of our interactions. We could have been wearing radioactive waste for all they knew. We had liberally covered ourselves in SPF 50 chemical sunscreen before arrival. The non all-inclusive passes we bought ended up costing us $260 CAD (for 2 people), which was way too much money for 4 hours of not a lot of fun. I felt more like I'd played a game of Survivor than spent time at an eco park. That might be fun for some, but not for me.
Second time on México and first time at xelha and is Just amazing, whole nature is amazing. Nice food and drink! We will back soon
Xel-Ha is by far the most relaxing of Xcaret parks and it gives you the most freedom. Just spent 4 nights at hotel Xcaret Arte and this park was included. It was our favorite of the ones that we visited, and we visited them all except Xenses. It’s basically a water themed park where you can get in the water and interact with sea animals or you can just lounge and float or snorkel through the mangroves, float down a natural lazy river, cliff dive, ride the tallest slide in the Riviera Maya, and more. There are also restaurants and areas for kids. The highlight of my day was swimming with manatees, which was a bucket list item for me. It was a beautiful experience, and I really will cherish it. I also rode the giant lighthouse slide, which is the tallest slide in the Riviera Maya. It was really fun, although the end was quite a surprise and felt like I got thrown into a washing machine. My favorite part of the day was floating down the natural lazy river and I honestly loved it. The water was crystal clear and the temperature was 80° and I will remember it forever. This place is truly awesome and it’s great for families or couples. I plan to be back in the future.
Awesome park. Spent a full day there and didn't even get to everything we wanted to do. Very clean, well run, friendly staff, decent food, and they don't nickel and dime you with the all-inclusive ticket. Highly recommended for a day snorkeling, tubing, and just relaxing. Even my jaded screen-addicted 17-year old kid enjoyed himself.
This experience was amazing. All of the staff were so nice especially in the bar area and restaurants. The facility was very clean right down to the snorkeling equipment and life jackets. The bathrooms were spotless with attendants in their cleaning constantly. The bar drinks were absolutely delicious, the flavor was spot on and some of the best drinks I have had in PDC. The food was just average but it's a buffet, don't expect gourmet meals, the food was decent. We didn't do any additional activities but the ones that came with our ticket were fun. The inlet snorkeling and river kept us busy all day. I appreciate the attention to every detail and I can't wait to come back.
The Adrenaline ride was our favorite. We loved the all-inclusive food and drinks. We enjoyed the tall slide. All the staff was nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back.
This was our second visit to Xel Ha, one of Xcaret Group´s flagship parks. Our first trip was 15 years ago and was so much better than this time. Back then, there was so much more fauna, and it was the best place to snorkel. All of that has changed as the park felt over commercialized and we didn´t see any fish. I am giving two stars for the food. Apart from that, it is not worth the asking price
I can be at Xel-Ha park all day and be totally immerse by the beauty of nature, activities offered, the kindness of its employees, the variety of its food and drinks… I mean, my list of positive experience can go on and on… I was completely satisfied with me and my wife visiting this park. Thanks Xcaret!
Great experience with family there is something for everyone. A great way to be in the nature. On a safe and control environnement. Like Disney but natural. All inclusive wich makes it easy for everyone. Love the recycled glasses and all drinks included so no waste on glasses or water bottles
Excellent day at the park with my family of 12, six ranging from ages 7-14. Loved everything and was very glad the 7 year old could do all of the activities. Tower slide, zip lines and cliff jumps were their favorites. Food was very good as well with the all inclusive package.
Had a great day yesterday at the park, there's lot's to do. Rather than booking a package with transport we were in a nearby resort so saved over £100 by getting there in a taxi, 400 pesos each way. Towels, snorkels and lockers are free. Lots of choices for food and was included in the package. We brought our passports as they checked the main booking name when we arrived. They were doing deals on some of the extra things such as dolphin experiences 40% off. Started with the lazy river to get a feel for the place, it's very lazy with little current to push along. There are some cliff jumps and zip wires to do on the way down.
We had a great experience at Xel-Há. The park’s natural beauty is stunning. The water slides were a blast, and we enjoyed walking the park. The highlight, however, was the Manatee Encounter with Sam and his team. Sam’s passion, knowledge, and genuine care for these special creatures made the experience feel intimate and meaningful. We learned a lot and left with a deeper appreciation for manatees and their conservation. We highly recommend an encounter with these gentle giants!
Overall, my family had a lot of fun, but not sure if it is worth the cost spent to send 7 people there. Pro - The park is well done - organized with really good signage. It is organized and there did not seem to be long lines anywhere that we went except for the waterslide tower. We waited about 15-20 minutes there. Pro - Lot of activities and we definitely did not have any wasted time there. We could have stayed a few more hours and then might have done everything. Pro - The food was quick and there was plenty of seating even though the park was crowded. Lots of options for the pickiest of eaters. Con - If you have spent a lot of time around water and water parks - you are not going to be blown away by any of the activities. The snorkeling is fine, but only in the spots closest to rocks or the ocean. The ziplines and jumps are cool - but pretty average on the thrill scale. Con - the locker rooms/showers/changing rooms are sweltering. Get a fan in there or something. Con - the food is average at best. A bit expected for all you can eat buffet style, but for the money I expected a bit more.
Great experience for the price great food Amazing views Great personel The wait time for the activities was very short Great for kids
I would love to share this park with everyone I love! I want to come back and eat here again. The food is unbelievable. I want to eat everything but that’s just impossible
I visited Xel-Há on 18th July with my partner and her son. We’d been looking forward to a relaxing, enjoyable day, but the reality was far from that. I left feeling frustrated, restricted, and pretty disheartened. The life jacket policy was a major problem. I’ve swum the English Channel – I’m not exactly new to the water. But at Xel-Há, everyone is forced to wear a life jacket at all times, even in shallow areas or while floating in a tube on the lazy river. It’s incredibly restrictive. You can’t lie back, can’t free dive, and you’re basically bobbing upright like a cork the entire time. It made what should have been a chilled, enjoyable activity feel uncomfortable and over-controlled. A simple waiver option for capable swimmers would solve this, especially since we had to sign a liability form on entry anyway. The manatee enclosure was honestly upsetting. I’ve got a real appreciation for marine life and conservation, and what I saw didn’t match the eco-friendly image the park promotes. The enclosure was far too small for such a large, slow-moving animal. It was hard to watch. My son was excited to see a manatee, but I found the whole thing pretty heartbreaking. It felt like a token attraction rather than a genuine rescue or conservation effort. We did see a few stingrays near the slide, which my stepson enjoyed, but it wasn’t anything particularly impressive for me personally. The snorkelling was mixed – some decent areas, but a lot of murky water too. I didn’t bother with the fast food lunch. My partner and son did, and said it was like eating something from Iceland back in the UK. For anyone outside the UK, think basic frozen supermarket food that’s been reheated. Not what you’d expect from an all-inclusive experience at this price point. On the positive side, the international buffet meals were much better. The beef stew and salads were solid, and the breakfast omelette was decent. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the setting is naturally beautiful. Toilets were clean, and the drink stations were convenient once they finally opened. That said, we arrived before many of the main food and drink areas had opened. While there were water fountains available, there was no access to other drinks or refreshments for nearly an hour. For a park that’s marketed as all-inclusive, it didn’t feel very welcoming to be sat around waiting with limited access to anything. We were also given a locker that was too small for the three of us with bags and had to go back for another. Small detail, but another unnecessary hassle. All in all, I wouldn’t return unless some serious changes are made. The life jacket rules are excessive and genuinely ruined the day. And keeping a manatee in a space that small doesn’t sit right at all. As a long-term visitor to Mexico, I also think it’s time parks like this reconsider their pricing. We’re here for months, not just a few days, and would be more likely to return if there were discounts for people on six-month tourist visas. At the moment, the prices clearly cater to short-term tourists, not returning guests.
We went as a family of 4 with sons 5 & 8. From the start the experience was extremely I pleasant, stressful, highly overpriced and shocking. If you enjoy packed, commercialised theme parks but want a touch of nature. This may suit. Key points: -Work out your entire day ahead of time, download the app, decide on timing. -We purchased the entry without the included lunch (£130 for a family of 4) we decided we wouldn’t spend that so went without the inclusive lunch planning to buy perhaps a sandwich or a hot dog light lunch once there. However, you’re are unable to purchase ANY food there. Only with the inclusive bracelet. You’re not even allowed in the restaurant. So if you need any food at all, it will cost an additional £130 for the upgrade. Have a starving 5 year old? Sorry the whole family has to purchase. -No normal sun tan lotion allowed. They ban this on entry and require you buy their bio-friendly one. I appreciate the ecological aim but this is clearly one of many, many money grabs. -The staff are everywhere and extremely rude and aggressive. One locker point was shut, so we went to the nearest, this was full. We then ended up walking a huge distance with the bags, eventually finding a faulty locker. After that we were given a key that worked. Told they were huge having checked our bags (!) we then needed to return as not enough room for the bags. -I wanted to watch the kids come down the big slide (with a back issue I could go myself) sorry, not allowed, no watching at the bottom 😂 how is that even a thing? Who makes these rules? -Continual bossing around and confrontation with the staff, at one point my 5 year old tried to pick up his shoes- just that….someone was taking a photo with staff near there and he was told off by the staff. He waited patiently as they continued. 10 minutes later we tried again- and they aggressively approached me and told me they hadn’t finished. We just wanted to pick up some shoes! Madness -The dolphins are kept in netted enclosures. This is well known to dress the animals out and has been banned for these intelligent creatures in many areas. As somewhere focused on ecological progress, it’s laughable they do this whilst also advertising pro-eco aims. -The parrots sit, not moving half asleep on branches. You can have your photos with them (at cost). Parrots do not naturally sit untethered for a full day. In other countries this behaviour has been achieved by drugging. I’m not saying they are here but perhaps conclusions can be drawn. -The boat ride looks amazing (adrenalina) and for £65 a person I would hope it was for 15 mins. Sadly that, like the other rides, is not allowed for 5/8 year olds. We wouldnt return if it was free and their cheap horrible buffet food was given out without a £130 price tag attached.
Best food, activities and views of Cancún. Something You cannot miss! They make your experience perfect from te moment You get to the park.
Amazing water park. Mostly all natural and stunning. Didn’t like all the activities that were separate from Our ticket, but we had a great time!
A few things no one tells you that might help you enjoy this experience more! 1. This park is massive; 15-20 min walking from one ride to another. Plan on 20 min to get to the bathroom or your locker. Wear walking shoes…that you can also swim in…👍🏻 2. DO NOT SEPARATE FROM YOUR FAMILY! You may never find them again in this park. There are miles of beautiful wooded tropical paths ideal for enjoying nature. The stuff nightmares are made of for loosing children. Total transparency. Xel-ha’s remedy for his is to sell you a theme park priced waterproof phone case so you can stay connected. Heads up. 3. THE ONLY WAY TO GET FOOD IN THE PARK IS TO PURCHASE AN “ALL INCLUSIVE BUFFET TICKET PROCED AT $40 USD per person.). No other meal or snack purchase options are available besides chips and cookies and cokes. FYI. 4. All inclusive isn’t as good as it sounds. The park serves breakfast and lunch. Let’s say you get there around 10am. Your “all inclusive meal ticket for your family may wind up being a $160 USD lunch. As the restaurants close up at 4:30PM. 5. You will be wearing a life jacket for ALL attractions in the water. FYI if you set it down a little man may come and take it while you insist you are still using it insisting all life jackets should be returned to the racks at the close of each ride. Facts. You can’t make this stuff up🤣🤷♀️ 6. Everything aside from the zip lines, snorkeling, lighthouse water slide and tubing is an up charge. Photos? Extra $100 USD, zip biking? Extra $100+, dolphin swim? Extra $100+. There were over a dozen add on’s. A family of 4 could easily drop $1k in the park. While this is typical extortion for Tulum, expect to walk back to the park entrance with each member of your party to add these items on after you pass through general admission should you choose not to take advantage of these extras upon arrival. 7. The park closes promptly @ 6pm HAVE AN AMAZING DAY @ XEL-Ha!
My son and I, along with my brother and family had an excellent and fun day at Xelhá All Inclusive. This was my 10th time going to the park, my sons love it. From the activities included, the snorkeling in the river, taking a walk around the park to the buffet (breakfast & lunch) it makes it a fun place to spend the day. Totally recommended if you plan to visit the Mayan Riviera.
Xel-Há is an incredible experience and one of the highlights of our trip! The whole park is absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear lagoons, rivers, and lush jungle scenery that makes you feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. What We Loved: 🌴 So many fun activities included—snorkeling, tubing down the lazy river, cliff jumps, biking, and exploring scenic paths. 🍽️ The food was excellent and abundant. We especially loved the Mexican buffet with authentic local dishes—plentiful, fresh, and delicious. 🍹 Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are included throughout the day, adding to the all-inclusive feel and making it easy to relax. ✅ Staff were friendly and helpful, keeping everything clean and well organized. Good to Know: 💡 While so much is included, some premium experiences like dolphin swims or zip-bike rides cost extra. It’s worth knowing this ahead of time so you can plan or budget if you want to try them. Overall: We had a fantastic day at Xel-Há and would absolutely recommend it. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a fun, worry-free day surrounded by nature, with great food and drinks included!
There are so many parts to this park. You can do some of it or all of it. Expect to spend the whole day there. We watched the dolphins without having to pay for the experience to swim with them and it was still quite amazing to see them up close. The lazy river was fun, and you can stop on the way to do cliff jumps or zip lining into the water. The kids playground is so good. A nice big space, but contained with all sorts of different cool parts including a water slide. And then in general you can just go into the water anywhere and swim around and look at fish with a snorkel. Getting around and getting stuff we needed was so easy. There are life jackets all over the place so you can just take and leave as you go, or keep it with you the whole time. There are stations with towels and you can just keep going to get more wherever and whenever you need it. There are lockers to keep stuff in so you don't have to worry about it when you're in the water. Great day for kids all ages (we had kids ranging from 2-12).
