The show and the river is the best part of all of if but the snorkling is with no fish around you and not in the ocean as you think , the sea trek . So you getting some of the activities and the most you are not , there no jaguar or puma as they show on the map.

We had an amazing time at Xcaret! The park was huge and beautiful. There are so many things to see, explore and enjoy. We especially loved the underground rivers, beach and the beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious and staffs were very attentive. The evening show was also incredible and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. Everything was well organized. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Cancun. Every dime was well spent! Highly recommended! ❤️
Great experience and staff was great
Taken to the park very early 7:30 am. Then got to worried the day would be too long as night show starts at 7pm. We nearly went home but managed to kill some time doing snorkelling and a long lunch. We didn’t buy any extra activities that they try and sell you. So glad we stayed for night show as its very spectacular! However its 30 mins too long and a bit uncomfortable in theatre as hard seating with a cushion. The visit would have felt expensive if we didn’t do the show. Be prepared to walk a lot in this park. Food was nice but preferred food in Xplor. We had a nice day but preferred XPLOR as kids ( aged 14/11 ) loved the activities there.
Really great experience from start to end. We was picked up in an Xcaret bus and driven to the park, the guide was very informative throughout the journey and answered any questions. The park is stunning with something for everyone. Really enjoyed swimming the underground caves.
The drivers were fun and entertaining. We recommend this for first timers.
Exceeds my expectation. Worth it!
Awesome BEAUTIFUL will do it again definitely!!! Only thing was the entry of the food my husband & I believed we had entry to the food from 12-5pm And that’s not the case !! only once the whole 12 hrs you are there at least mentioned that The bus driver there the one who sold us the ticket mentioned food but as if it was available all day Maybe correct that or give an option for another snack for the 12 hrs one is there!
We had the most incredible day at Xcaret. The tour was great and so well organised and lots of information given. For us it was magical and worth every penny. Memories for a lifetime.
The park it’s incredible, I highly recommend water shoes, the Jalisco buffet was amazing and the staff very friendly, the 2hrs. show at the end of the night it was very good be ready and prepared to spend all day at the park.
This was overall a fun day and worth going, especially if you're staying at a lower budget hotel that doesn't have a spectacular beach or activities like snorkeling, etc. The guide was friendly and gave helpful tips about the park. It was encouraging to see that the animal enclosures were very spacious, much bigger than zoos I've seen before. I will say that from start to end, including on the bus to get there, there was a lot of upselling on extra experiences which were quite expensive for Mexico. I got upsold on the dinner at the evening cultural show which I would not do again- I'd just go to the show and get myself a sandwich at Oxxo later. The food was good but it was essentially a tasting menu and I think most of the money went towards alcohol which the replenished very rapidly. I got the dolphin experience too which I think was worth it and got some great photos. However, the smallest photo package was almost as expensive as the experience itself and they don't allow outside phones or cameras so be prepared to invest in that. The park was a little tricky to navigate and I got caught on some 5 minute detours throughout the day. Not a big deal but annoying with how hot and humid it was. There were a lot of maps around the park but I would have appreciated printed maps being available. There's an app you can download but I had very little cell phone service out there. I went on a weekday and while it was busy I never had trouble finding a place to sit/lounge. Not sure how it is on weekends.
The experience was incredible. The rivers were amazing! A few things I would change for next time, do not wear rings or jewelry into the rivers! Both mine as well as my moms weddings rings lost diamonds within a few days of being in the rivers! The water must do something to the jewelry! We brought towels from the hotel to Xcaret, but we only needed a few, not one per person because we had to carry a bunch of towels around that you really don't use much throughout the day! Bring bug spray! I got bit over 10 times, especially at the cultural night dinner at the end. The cultural show was good, it was long for my young kids. We paid for the dinner as well, but I probably wouldn't again, the food wasn't great.
Everything was excellent. The dinner was delicious and there was no issues at all. Will continue booing with you guys.
Xcarat is a wonderful place filled with plenty of things to do. On entering you go to a place where you can choose your activities. We understood our booking included all the activities at the park, with the exception of the dinner. This was not the case. Some are included. Others are not. We recommend you have in writing all the activities and associated fees before you go. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. You can use a QR code to have a map in your phone. There are also maps you can see at various places along the trails. We swam with dophins. There is a fee for swimming with the dolphins. There is an additional fee for photos. You see your photos at the end of the dolphin experience. We declined the options presented. The price was then lowered. It was still to high for us, but if you want the photos, don't pay the price first quoted. Maybe bring your own thumb drive and ask what they would charge for downloading them. We enjoyed the included buffet lunch. There are several places in the park for lunch with a variety of cuisines. They are at various locations. We missed swimming with the stingrays, which also incurs a fee, because we didn't allow ourselves enough time between activities. I'm a little slow when it comes to walking. Know your pace. Don't schedule things too close together. The massage was much needed and relaxing. We recommend it toward the end of your day. There is a fee. It's worth it. You will be inclined to leave a nice tip. We paid for dinner as part of the Xcaret México Espectacular. We have seen other similar presentations. This one is the best. The food was good. The service was excellent. It's worth paying the fee to dine as part of the included pageant experience.
Restaurante Jalisco inside Xcaret provides the best food buffet options and the service by the staff is very well attentive! Lucio our waiter went above and beyond to provide us with the best service! 100% recommended if thinking to visit Xcaret park
We had a lot of fun here. The food was amazing. The whole park was super fun and best experience. The one thing I didn’t like that one of the servers still does have the buffet that’s all you’re giving me as a tip. They wanted more but highly recommend if you have kids or your first time here you’re gonna love it. The one highlight I will recommend what’s the California restaurant
Xcaret Park was amazing! The night cultural show was one of the best experiences of the entire trip, beautiful, entertaining, and unforgettable. I also highly recommend the shark and stingray activities. Definitely a must visit!
Excellent Trip! only problem it was too much hot and humid. Hope they had misters all over the place like Universal Studio and Disneyland.
We did not get to go on this excursion. Terrible service, never booking another one through you. We couldn’t call or get through to anyone. We were never picked up at our hotel.
Great experience overall, beautiful park and installations. My only concerns were, 1: the station to refill your water bottle around the park is not cold. With this heat drinking hot water is not fun. 2: tons of snacks bars around but they only offer chips and sodas, no sandwiches, pizzas, hotdogs, fries, fruits, nothing, just prepackaged processed food. The variety of food in this area, besides the specialty restaurants, is very minimal. We didn’t bring anything with us thinking that we would find something substantial to eat before our dinner, so it was a little disappointing, good thing we find a bread house and a coffee shop. That is why I don’t give them a 5 stars.
There needs to be transparency that the pick up time is designated and very early in the morning. We thought we could pick our own time for pick up.
Amazing experience, you do not need to buy wet shoes really, we used our sliders/flip flops and used the flippers for the river and snorkling as they were included in our package - take towels and change of clothes for evening show! Was a long day, but well worth it.
Great experience, I will definitely do it again as many times as I can. Spent most of my day in the park.
A great and amazing, special the shows during the night.
Lucio my server for the xcaret show dinner night was awesome. Kept trying to make us comfortable and happy. I appreciate it.
Definitely not worth the money. Avoid.
Very overrated very expensive day out Paid 300pd for 2 booked via website Not that much to see or do. Left at 2pm as basically seen everything there was to see which is not much ! Show was not till 7pm and couldn't find anything else to do for 4hrs Was highly disappointed. Expensive 2 ice lollies 300 pesos ! Water caves where ok but they are man-made and your basically swimming or using ropes to go thru a river with nothing to see for almost 1hr so hard going if your not pretty fit! Theres no other shows or dancers limited myan cultural as there was massive law suit with excaret and the myan gov regarding them.using myan culture so all was pulled from excaret so apart from a few animals its all shops restaurants and extra activities you pay more for. The usual overcrowded tiny pools for dolphins sharks turtles and manatee which breaks my heart to see as they just being used for tourists to ride on. They just swim around their tiny pools ! What life is that. Beach area tiny Snorkeling area packed. Bird atrium was nice Rest of park just basically walking around lots of vegetation and palm trees. I would definitely not recommend it as prices are way too high for what you get. They need to offer more for what they charge. Parks and zoos in uk offer much more than excaret did and cost a lot less.
It was an experience. For me it wasn’t as whoa as others have put it…it is quite expensive. We paid £560 for family of 4. A child over 12 is considered an adult. Apart from that, we also paid for a photo pass which was $120 for us. Also a lot of additional activities come at a cost- which is exorbitant. We did the sea trek which we enjoyed- going to the bottom of a shallow coral reef & u didn’t need to know how to swim- that was about $400 for all of us again. So if u want to do a few experiences u easily spend over £1000 for a standard family of 4. We did enjoy the sea trek, it was a good experience though was expecting to see more animals as the video showed turtles- it was mainly small fishes. You could see jaguars, lots of birds, some butterflies, and eggs hatching. Lots of lovely nature scenery if that is your thing. There was a swimming in the river challenge, some flamingoes. Apart from that nothing else spectacular. There was a theatre show in the evening if you paid for it- it was good - showing culture and history of Mexico but quite long- 2hours and I felt for a family at the end, it was a bit too prolonged and could have been made an hour Didn’t realise the xplor park (with the zip lining/more activities) was different- might have considered that more & it’s a little cheaper
Amazing experience! I just wish we had the option to revisit for a second or additional day for a small upgrade fee instead of having to repurchase the tickets, as we couldn’t see everything in just one day. Other than that, everything was very well organized, and the park had so much to see and do. Definitely a great experience!
Easy to book and provided pickup instructions right away, overall great, but very long, day (7am-11pm) Stay for the night show!
The park itself is massive so be prepared. We didn't have a guide for some reason. Wasn't sure if we were supposed to so we did our own thing. Based off reviews we knew to hit the river swim first so we did. You can do the buffet at at least 5 choices of restaurants that offer you buffet options. Its humid and hot so carry your fan water and use the mini 💦 water options. The plus options is way at the top almost lol . not every option is included in your band so pay attention to your downloaded map to help you decide.
Really disappointed, me and my husband have had this on our bucket list for so long and booked for the rivers and cultural experience. The animal cruelty is out of this world. I am disgusted with how small the enclosures are, there were 7 turtles piled on top of each other, I will attach a photo too. Manatees, sharks and dolphins were kept in very similar enclosures. Rivers were beautiful but seeing the animals like that ruined our whole experience, we left early unfortunately and would not go again.
The underground river and the show were nice , the rest was just average, aquarium and museum nothing special.
A very good day out. No queues. Lots to do. The show at the end is more geared towards the Mexican audience, but that creates a good atmosphere.
It was an amazing experience that I will never forget, and to see the joy on my son’s face, that is priceless!!
Good explanation and excellent attention with jesus At Expendio de café
Extremely disappointed This is the no.1 thing to do around Playa Del Carmen? Initially we decided it was too expensive to go however I’m not sure I’ll ever be in Mexico again so I thought ‘you only live once’ this place gets amazing reviews so I can’t miss it!! I paid for my husband and I and my 2 boys 16 & 18. The Good - Due to being on an Xcaret bus we got straight through the turnstile - at Alton Towers you’d be queuing for an hour! - Buffet food at no.40 was very good and the waiter very attentive but the ‘huge dessert offering’ was 3 deserts and one ice cream flavour. - Despite the dangerous amount of people in one place the queuing was virtually none existent - England need to learn from their efficiency - The aviary had amazing birds The Bad - The travel there was good (only 20 mins from our hotel) but we were the last pick up, if I’d been the first it’d have taken ages to get there due to each family signing their life away before boarding. - Constant upselling of the only decent activities at the park. - Price with my massive ‘special discount’ it was £550 for the Xcaret plus experience. You get lockers, the buffet lunch and the show included. £550!! This took me a long time to earn and I’m gutted I wasted it. The park was wall to wall people - £10 for a slush puppy, it was a big one but £10?! Crazy - The river. It’s very long and we saw some bats in a cave but you were squished in with 1000s of others and there’s no flowing water. We felt like we were walking and doggy paddling through peoples wee. - We weren’t told about the duffle bag option to get your stuff to the other end so we walked all the way back and couldn’t be bothered to do the other two. Having just spent £120 in Walmart for 4 pairs of reef shoes and rash vests what another waste of money!! - I googled the place and bought special suncream and insect repellent as that’s what I thought you should have - no one checked any of our bags once - another expensive mistake. - I didn’t take my own snacks as I read they confiscate them for not being eco friendly…. - No one checked our bags! No security checks at all. Luckily everyone there was a genuine tourist. - The snorkelling - again no queues to get the equipment but you couldn’t move in the small area - neither could the fish. I saw about 10. - The show. Honestly this was the biggest disappointment- I’d been thinking the price will be worth it when we see the amazing spectacular show at the of a long day. 1st half - the history of Mexico. 2nd half - folk songs and dancing from each region of Mexico. I think the Mexicans had a great time as they understood it all and recognised the songs. They’re extremely proud of their culture which makes me sad that the English never celebrate their heritage. My boys were so bored. - Extra cost for walking under water in a helmet, swimming with dolphins, riding a speedboat, parasailing, getting your feet nibbled by fish. $120 for the photo package (where there were queues to get your pictures and so many people it was often frustrating for the people getting their snaps without others accidentally walking across them) crazy money that most seemed to have paid for. - £40 for a plastic wallet for your mobile. The ugly - dolphins in a small pond like area, jaguars on a tiny island, no room to run, manatees in and enclosure they could hardly turn round in. There’s more butterflies at Stratford butterfly farm. I came away feeling very sorry for the animals. And hugely ripped off
Purchased a package including the night show experience. It was a long day but filled with activities. Many interesting species of animals seen and had a chance to snorkel with turtles and sting rays. Overall a great experience but I do feel like the park is way too overpriced.
Great i had a good time with the family
Xcaret was one of the absolute highlights of our family vacation in Riviera Maya. We visited with our two children (ages 5 and 10), and everyone had an incredible time. The park is beautifully maintained, incredibly clean, and surrounded by stunning nature. Our favorite experiences were the underground rivers, butterfly pavilion, sea turtle habitat, aquarium, and of course the spectacular México Espectacular evening show—it was world-class and the perfect ending to the day. What impressed us the most was the staff. Every employee we met was friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. One staff member went above and beyond to assist our family, making our visit even more memorable. If you're visiting for the first time, my advice is to arrive early and plan your day. The park is much bigger than we expected, and even after spending an entire day there, we couldn't see everything. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water shoes, and don't miss the night show! Although Xcaret is not inexpensive, we felt it was worth every peso. It offers a unique combination of nature, wildlife, Mexican culture, adventure, and family-friendly activities that you simply won't find anywhere else. We would absolutely recommend Xcaret to anyone visiting the Riviera Maya and hope to return again in the future.
The tour was incredible. They pick you and drop you off. Getting the buffet was all worth it. Staying for the show was an incredible experience.
During our visit to Xcaret Park, we paid an additional supplement of approximately USD $75 per person for the Adrenalina speedboat experience. Whilst I would like to commend both the captain and our guide, who were friendly, welcoming and professional throughout, the attraction itself was extremely underwhelming. The entire experience lasted only around 20 minutes from leaving the dock to returning, and it was considerably less exciting than the equivalent speedboat experience previously offered at Xavage. Given the premium price charged, we felt this represented very poor value for money. We were also disappointed by the butterfly pavilion, which appeared sparse and contained very few butterflies compared with our previous visit. Another recurring frustration was the park’s navigation. The maps are poorly designed and difficult to follow. We spent a considerable amount of time walking around trying to locate attractions, and we observed several other guests appearing equally confused, including couples openly arguing over directions. Better signage and clearer mapping would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
World class🙌🏼 infra is not dinky, hospitality is bar non, show and dinner was truly a spectacular extravaganza, food was great! can't wait to got back with my daughter.
Absolutely Loved The Xcaret Experience.. So Many Things to Do you can’t Fit it all in One Day. Will Def Be Back for More
Loved the tours from xcaret! Both the xcaret and Chichen Itza tours were fun-filled days with plenty of activities, learning opportunities, and adventure!
The river was amazing. Also the Sealife experiences are very special.
Breathtakingly beautiful eco-park. Part exotic animal zoo (with some free to roam among the people!), part oceanfront water park, part history/culture museum, part cultural show. And every part was masterfully done. At every turn I was in wonder how they could design and build such a massive yet exquisitely detailed park. The underground river is a must. Watching the flamingo parade, a must. The evening show, a must. (Get the idea?) I'd recommend paying up for the "Plus" package, which includes one buffet + lockers (there is a separate, extremely convenient locker section just for the Plus ticket holders).
It's a beautiful place, but for the cost, I don't think it's worth it. It costs us $675 for three people just to get in. That doesn't include any activities other than swimming and walking around the property. It's like paying to go to Disney and then having to pay to go on each ride. For those that go, bring a towel, sunscreen, water bottle and water shoes.
Long day but super fun! Highly recommend dinner with the show; 7 course meal, worth it! We also swam with dolphins & or was sublime. Ask for discounts, they’re willing to bargain.
We absolutely loved this place. It has so many things to do and not even time to do it all. The lazy river was amazing although takes up a lot of time. The frozen slushes are lovely although you need to pay $100MXN pesos each cup and they don't refill them. The dolphins were a bit of a rip off, it was rushed, no family photos and time taken. And an extra $100USD for the photos digitally. The buffet food was nice enough. The snack bars were expensive we were £67 for a can of coke 2 slushes (one with 3 shots of vodka) fake pringles and a 2l Corona. The show at night was really cool too. The shower situation is carnages, you are in a like outside to have everyone watch whil you try to clean up a bit then there are hardly any places to get changed.
