This is an absolute scam! Unless you want to waste money. From the beginning I was asked to pay more than others had paid so this feels like they just make the prices up as they see fit. They sold me tickets early to guarantee me a table at the front. The table in question is actually a shelf which you share with another 4-8 people. As for front row seats this was a complete lie and when challenged was told oh no it’s front row behind front row? When was that a thing. The drinks are not drinkable. The show itself is loud and probably lasts in total of 20 minutes over the 2.5 hour period we were there. It feels like a complete money making scam. I have tried to resolve my disputes but I’m told the member of staff who sold me the tickets will be reprimanded no more than that!

Fun night to go music was good good atmosphere staff were great drinks topped up as all inclusive of price
We had a fantastic time at Coco Bongo! The performances, music, acrobatics, and special effects were absolutely incredible and kept us entertained all night. A special thank you to Sara and Rayo, who were extremely helpful with the ticket information and made our entry quick and seamless. Their friendly and professional service really enhanced our experience. If you’re visiting Cancún, Coco Bongo is definitely worth experiencing at least once. A fun and memorable night out that we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended!
Now let’s put this in context. I’m a 57 year old male and haven’t been to a nightclub in a long time so was doing this as a favour for my 21 year old daughter who had been told by friends it was a must visit. I’d read a lot of reviews and they seemed very mixed so I went with some trepidation, thought I’d give it a try and stick it out for a couple of hours. Turns out our experience was a lot of fun, we had a fantastic time and didn’t leave until past 2am. We paid for Gold membership and were directed to a short queue (the general admission queue was a lot longer) then into the Bongo Bar for a drink before entry into the main club. We had second row seats right next to the stage and with a good view over the dance floor. We were fed (small portions and not that great) and then offered drinks. The drinks kept coming all night, including a lot of shots. We had to ask for more sometimes but they came quickly enough. The shows were very good, especially those with some acrobats flying around the venue. After about midnight the shows stop and it basically becomes a nightclub again, which my daughter in particular enjoyed. Overall, we had a fantastic night out. It’s not cheap and they do try and sell you extras (mainly photos) but didn’t get pushy about it. You can get up on the stage to dance (I politely declined that offer, my daughter didn’t) where they still bring plenty of shots to keep those dancing ‘happy’. Tip your server, it helps keep the drinks flowing. I’m sure there is the potential for some real horror stories, plenty of opportunities when lots of drink is involved but we didn’t have or see any problems. They do like to shoot air up the skirts of girls dancing at the front of the stage which some didn’t mind but not all. Bit of a cheap stunt that they should stop, but that’s my only real ‘complaint’. Go, be careful, but have a lot of fun!
Fourth time at Coco Bongo, first time at Cancun, normally have been at Playa Del Carmen, and the first time I've ever left really disappointed. The entrance was chaotic, we ended standing in queues for well over an hour, getting in to the show about 10 minutes before it started. Seats gave incredible view, front row VIP. Didn't get the food/snacks as promised and service, no fault of the server as he was rushed off his feet, but one server taking care of 2 or 3 rows of people. Standards of drinks not as good as Playa and frequency of service massively down. It's still capable of being an amazing show, the Astronaut performance may possibly be their best ever show, there were other great show such as Beetlejuice and Spiderman, but overall there simply wasn't enough of them. Instead the audience made up half the show, and if you are desperate for attention this might suit you, but my wife and I had just paid $332 to watch people waving at the cameras, customers twerking (repeatedly) and a few girls picked out by the cameras as attractive. In playa everything is more involving, there are more shows, a better atmosphere; it feels like a proper night out. Here the shows broke up audience participation. And the music, clearly was meant for a certain customer, 70% hip hop . Shame as they had a few good tracks. Maybe look a bit to Europe for a few good EDM tracks to create more of a party atmosphere. Will I be back to the Coco Bongo, yes, of course I will, but it will be in Playa Del Carmen where a much better show, party atmosphere and much better service and higher standards await.
Unlimited drinks and great show!! Server was attentive and check on us frequently. Got front row tickets. Got served food without asking for it because it came with the purchase of the tickets. The multiple shows were awesome and did not disapoint.
Our experience at coco bongo was unlike anything we have experienced before and would definitely recommend to anyone considering booking!
We were picked up on time at resort, didn’t take long to get there! Lots of staff outside directing people where to go depending on ticket purchased! We got cheapest ticket with express pass ! I have to say we weren’t impressed with the girl on the desk, she wasn’t very helpful or happy ! We didn’t bring ID our fault for not reading small print but it was obvious we were over 18 ! But once inside we had a dedicated server who took us to our area with what l thought was great view of the whole show , always made sure we were ok and always had a drink! All the staff inside were fantastic from the servers to the staff looking after the toilets! The show was amazing , dancers fantastic ! You are guaranteed a brilliant night and l would recommend the cheap tickets so you can dance and go up on the stage in between acts .
Arrived early at 8.15 with Gold member tickets. Initially sent up the escalator to nowhere, then one queue which when we got to the desk sent us to another. Eventually got through to the area which said Gold member entrance, but after some time was sent to the other side, thus joining a huge queue and eventually got in 75 minutes after arrival. We ended up on the top bench with zero air con and a crap view. If you want to watch 80% videos with the odd 60 second show. Plus audience cams of girls the cameraman fancies, plus watching people having tequila poured down their throats, then this is the place for you. Overhyped and overpriced!
I did not enjoy my experience here at all. The venue was vastly overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to move around comfortably or actually enjoy the environment. Instead of a vibrant atmosphere, it just felt chaotic, claustrophobic, and poorly managed. To make matters worse, the overall tone of the entertainment and the crowd's behavior was surprisingly vulgar. The lack of refinement and respect completely ruined the evening for me. I was expecting a much higher-quality experience, but it turned out to be an uncomfortable and frustrating disappointment. I definitely will not be returning.
We booked 2 VIP tables for a party of 10 people directly with Coco Bongo. Arrived and checked in around 22.00. Showed my drivers licence as photo ID because this is required by the booking terms and conditions. My Chase debit card does not have the card number printed on it so I had to share the digital debit card on my phone. The staff at check in took a photo of both. I didn't question it as they did it in front of me and it appeared to be a requirement per the booking terms and conditions. Couple of hours laters, several fraudulent transaction were made and over £1,000 stolen from my Chase current account. Obviously, the member of staff who took the photo of my card and ID either used the info themselves or sold it to a criminal 3rd party. Coco Bongo Management have done nothing about it because the money was not stolen by the Club itself. Although they have responsibility for the actions of their staff, they still do not care; they are employing crooks. Chase Bank are investigating on my behalf. WARNING: DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD; DO NOT LET THEM TAKE PHOTOS OF IT. THEY ONLY NEED TO CHECK THAT THE LAST 4 DIGITS MATCH TO THE BOOKING. The show itself is mildly entertaining in a trashy sort of way. I do not recommend it - overall an overpriced bad experience.
We booked the VIP gold experience which cost £667 for 4 people. Very disappointing experience. It felt far more like a crowded 18–30s nightclub than the premium show experience advertised. The food was inedible and the “premium” drinks definitely didn’t taste premium. Overall, very overrated and nowhere near worth the money we paid. We bought 4 pictures and this was £140. Crazy!! Staff were slow, lacking enthusiasm and rudely requested we tip them. Have been twice before and loved it. Will not return.
Paid for front row golden tickets. Seats were great for view of the stage. Table service was nonexistent, one server for 80 people, and not once did they ask if we wanted a drink. Ended up going the bar every time we wanted a drink. Not a big deal, but when you pay over $300 for tickets for a premium service, you expect at least a basic level of service. Zero stars. Expensive, poor food and drinks, abysmal service.
Coco bongo is the best club in Cancun, it has a variety of incredible shows, the music is great, from shows of the 80s, 90s, the most popular and the most modern, Josué was our star salesman, a very friendly and charismatic boy, with a good disposition from the beginning he provided us with all the information and helped us choose the best for us! He's the best at this! It has an incredible energy and a nice boy !
A fun night overall and glad we went, but also wouldn’t rush back. Skip the queue isn’t real and still queued for 30 mins to get in. Staff are very efficient , but not particularly in a good way. The drinks are mixed quality, even with the so called gold package. The plus side is the energy of the shows and the atmosphere it creates.
Amazing !!! Definitely will be back soon
We paid a lot of money for our tickets when we got there. I guess it was a little late we paid for a table. We never got a table it was an a stool that we were sitting on way up in the corner. They don’t tell you first come first serve on the tables. They were very rude. The show was excellent, but the people that worked there are very, very rude. They didn’t help us. I fell. Nobody cared so people if you’re going to go there you better go early cause it’s first come first serve tables you are not guaranteed the table after spending all that money.
Thank you Oliver and Alfie amazing service. i’m going to recommend this place to my friends and family. We cannot wait to come back here again.
Coco Bongo is a great night out and definitely something different — the atmosphere is brilliant, loads of energy, and the shows are entertaining. Drinks service was ok. That said, it is a bit overhyped for the price.
An ok night out and glad we went but wouldn’t return. We had booked front row seats as they were advertised what we ended up with was sat 3 rows back on a stool having to stand up to see anything on the stage. The drinks were good and the waiter was fantastic at bringing them as soon as we had drank ours. The night went from fun to wild with everyone around us ending up absolutely intoxicated being sick and generally causing chaos (maybe I’m just getting old!) but the whole place seemed to be quite seedy and not what I’d expected. Glad we experienced it but not again
The shows were first class absolutely brilliant in a nightclub setting. You get a free open bar once inside. We went as a couple and chose gold seating with dedicated waiter service and seeing some reviews I decided to take the cash I had left for tipping around 2500 pesos. We were directed to our seating and there was a couple of larger groups which was fine as it added to the atmosphere. We waited over an hour to get any service from the waiters as they were too busy serving the groups with shots and drinks and burgers with fries and we got ignored for just over an hour eventually the waiter came over after I called him over multiple times for a drink and I asked for a whiskey and a bacardi which took another 20 odd minutes to arrive as again the waiters were more interested in serving the groups for tips. After our first drink we had the same drinks put in font of us about every half hour and a burger and fries x2 arrived but we're stone cold by the time we noticed they'd been sent as we wasn't even told. The last 2 drink im 99% sure were alcohol free and we didnt drink them. I didnt aim to go there to get extremely drunk but by half 1 i can safely say ive been drunker on a school night. The group in front had 2 people being sick as they were that drunk by midnight and the waiters cleaned up gave them water and plied them with more alcohol. In a nutshell the shows were absolutely fabulous and well worth the 5000 pesos we paid if the service would have been any good. Needless to say at around half 1 ish we decided it was time to leave and I took my 2500 pesos tipping money and had a great time with the waiters at the hotel bar the next night and they were so greatful and attentive. I get that tipping is the culture and u get the service you tip for but I truly believe if the service is bad then you won't get a tip from me. The taxi back to the hotel was extremely happy and friendly and he got a 500 pesos tip. If you want to goto coco bongo as a couple id suggest you dont book the seating area if u want any kind of service. The rest of it was perfect. Even the extremely drunk outside were looked after by staff and given water etc. Ps. The guide that sold us the tickets said he'd be back to check on our service but needless to say he wasn't seen again. A nice fella called jaziel but once we were in he disappeared too. Ps again the photos and stage actors were great when they came round to do the photos well worth it.
diego was the best bartender was there during thanksgiving 10/10!!!! will be back….best time ever…will be back definitely reccomend
Without a doubt, the best nightclub we've ever been to! We were two couples looking for a wild night out and we knew exactly where to find it. Jose our host (waiter, barman) was very friendly and super quick at serving drinks and cocktails. The open bar is a bit chaotic, but not completely disorganized. The atmosphere, the show and the music make this place a madhouse in the best possible way! An 11 out of 10 for the staff, the DJ,, and the amazing people who share the moment with you.
I will start with a positive - our waiter (who’s name I didn’t get) was fantastic, before we finished our drinks he has brought another just in time & remembered what we had ordered first time round - also showed us to the exit & walked us down, if I’d had cash on me would have tipped him. Paid around £280 GBP for our tickets which were the Gold Member premium drinks package, considering the price we paid the seats were terrible, I could not see much of the show going on below. Must have been if you looked ok you also got moved as a gold member to better seating. As soon as we got out of the taxi 3 men (The Masks) insisted on having photos (which you can take) with us which yes we thought was good fun at first, I personally didn’t like being picked up but anyway, they expected a tip for this, we didn’t have cash so that’s was tough I’m afraid. Once inside the photos continued, before you know it the hat it on your head a major hygiene issue for me lol! But just say no to the photographer and they will move on although the mask does a gesture which basically tells you to “F off” and he does this to everyone who says No. Show was ok, more music videos & watching the general public dance etc, was good fun just not worth I thought the price we paid & I wouldn’t have called it a show have seen much better performers.
At first it seemed pricey but once inside I think it was worth it. The show was amazing. This venue is like a Cirque du soleil show followed by a disco with good music. You can’t help but feel the energy level in there. We went with 13 guys celebrating a birthday and they catered to that occasion as well. Highly recommend the VIP Gold pass as you get a VIPentrance/food/drinks/show/seating … everything included. We bought tickets from Jesus who works out front of coco bongo. He was great to deal with. Safe place to go as well.
We went to the ‘kids party’ in October as a family (children aged 9 and 3), by the end of the evening we had all enjoyed ourselves and left happy, but the start of the evening was a different story! Getting into Coco Bongo was probably the worst experience we’ve ever had of getting into a venue/event. The queues were endless and very unclear on what you were queuing for, we were supposedly ‘gold members’ but there was no queue skipping going on, if anything, we kept ending up at the back of yet another queue, in the heat, with no idea of when we would actually get in. It took over an hour for us to check in, the checks were like being at an airport, and we missed the start of the show and ended up right at the back, yet people kept coming in behind us and we were quite literally squashed in like sardines, and it was boiling inside also. There appeared to be plenty of queue skipping for the locals, but prepare to be ushered to the back over and over again if you’re a tourist. Once the show got going, it was a great atmosphere and the kids loved it. The ‘show’ elements were really impressive with the acrobats etc. but the gaps between each show were quite long. There were way too many people in the venue, especially as this was an event for children, getting to the toilets with small children was a bit of a nightmare, like going to nightclub toilets on a busy night out but with children in tow. We travelled as a group from the hotel as part of an organised trip, and we all had the same experience. We were all fed up before we even got in, but by the end we had made the best of a bad situation and enjoyed ourselves. I personally wouldn’t go again, but it felt like a ‘must do’ when in Cancun. I would say go and enjoy it, but be prepared for an awful check in process and a very hot and crowded evening! If we had been more prepared for how it would be we may have been a little more understanding.
Amazing. Splendible. Incroyable. I'm still on shaking my head and looking at my pictures. I will return for sure. Mille gracias a Josue. Servicio de Comandante !
The show is in another level! Having seats it´s worth it and also you get drinks to your seats. I went on Monday and it was full.
The show was great from start to finish. Drinks flowed and my host made sure I had everything I needed. The show was interactive and really well put together. The building was air conditioned and pleasant. I was sat on a stool, wasn’t the comfiest but it didn’t detract from the experience. Food was good too.
It was absolutely amazing we had front row seats right next to where all the characters come down. The show it’s really something else all drinks include never went dry all night.
Gold member ticket - not all its hyped up to be. Never got to skip the queue, nobody explained what the process was to get in. Seats were terrible, on the path to the toilet and kept getting knocked by people walking past. Never got the included snack. People were vaping and smoking in the venue and the staff did nothing about it. After the show, the exit is through a shopping centre and you have to walk down broken/turned off escalators - maybe not the safest thing under the influence of alcohol!! Drinks were well topped up throughout the night and the show was really good fun!!
Honestly don’t waste your money on this ! Myself and wife decided to try it after hearing positive things about coco bongo! Wow what can I say no skipping the queue as everyone is stood in a line that’s rammed and people none stop pushing to get to the front soon as the doors open it’s a mad scramble to get in with zero crowd control in place , once in the nightclub area we were escorted to our seats , the drinks were very watered down and the burger and hotdog were terrible! The show although was good the breaks between performances were to long I would not attend again and spend my money elsewhere We felt like it was very degrading to women with sprits being poured down the necks to get them to flash there boobs or shake the backsides
Absolutely terrible experience. We were scammed by a man named Elias, who sold us tickets for $140 USD each, promising VIP treatment and the best seats. Instead, we were stuck with the worst seats in the venue—right beside the washrooms and far from the stage—so we could barely see anything and missed most of the show. The performance itself was mediocre at best and nowhere near worth the hype. To make things worse, he claimed transportation to and from the club was included, but on the way back we were forced to pay an additional $40 USD because it only covered one way. Elias took our money under false promises, and this whole experience was a rip-off. I am sharing his picture here so others can recognize him and avoid being scammed. Absolutely avoid this at all costs!
Fun Night at Coco Bongo – But One Disappointing Experience Coco Bongo in Cancun is definitely an unforgettable experience — the show, the energy, the music — everything was amazing and we had such a great time overall. However, we were really disappointed with the service from one of the waiters, Antonio. While we were there to have fun and enjoy the night, Antonio was more focused on chatting and flirting with one of our friends than actually doing his job. We spent a good amount of money and expected at least decent service, but he completely ignored us, and we had to ask other staff members for help multiple times. What made it worse was that he opened our bottle of Smirnoff without asking, just because we shared it with some friends — which is totally unacceptable. His attitude was unprofessional, lazy, and honestly took away from what could’ve been a perfect night. And it wasn’t just one of us — everyone in our group felt the same way. On a more positive note, the girl at the grill area was fantastic — super friendly, helpful, and gave great service. We appreciated her so much that we made sure to tip her personally. We’re sharing a photo of Antonio just so others are aware. While Coco Bongo itself is a wild and amazing experience, beware of poor service from certain staff members, because it can really bring down your night.
It was a lot of fun i can’t lie. We got absolutely plastered. They’re fantastic at keeping the drinks re-filled, lost count of the amount of vodka cokes and tequila shots that were consumed. The show was brilliant and a lot of fun! Got a cheeky quesadilla from the place opposite (which tasted incredible but that was probably a benefit of the alcohol) and then spent the 30 minute uber waffling pure rubbish to the uber driver in what was my best go at Spanish. Overall great experience and a great night out!
Had such an amazing time here! Came with my husband for my birthday and they brought out shots and had everyone sing me happy birthday! Definitely made me feel special. The show itself was also amazing!! The dancers were sooo good and loved all the themes to their routines. Would go recommend for a fun night out!!
I had an amazing night here... WOW... High energy club that never lets up. By far the most entertaining club I've ever been too.
This was truly a brilliant night from start to finish . The show was absolutely brilliant ,all night , the music was superb and we just had so much fun . Our 18 yr old son absolutely loved it . The drinks were flowing our server Victor was exceptional as were the performers .
To sum up our experience of Coco Bongo is completely bonkers, epic and sensational. We paid extra for the gold ticket which was absolutely worth it. We had someone to show us to our seats, jump the huge queue and also waiter service with premium drinks all night. The show itself was completely insane. Such a fantastic show and very entertaining. What a night, worth every penny!
Coco bongo live entertainment is amazing, the crew are very talented and you will be wowed by their performances. The busboys are very helpful and try to go above and beyond. Shout out to every busboy (grey shirt). However, on my visit I purchased a gold member ticket for $165.00 USD and the experience was horrible. It’s a first come first serve seating, the standing in line is confusing, people cut in line and run toward seating. the supervising staff ignores your questions, the servers are rude and disrespectful, they are interested only in what they think are “high tipping customers”, ignore your drink request and take forever bringing back a drink. The drink quality is terrible and watered down by the time you get it. The ticket included snacks which we never got. Many people in gold and first row were walking to the bar to get their own drinks. This place is not worth the hype or your money. If you can just skip it and try something else. The ambience around is amazing and I’m sure you’ll find something better. Use your money wisely, not in Coco Bongo.
The worst experience. If you buy gold member you gonna loose money. Dont buy this experience. NOT WORTH it, we came july 2025………
a escape in an amazing performance, party all night, drinks and more. Love this place, servers attending you all the time, the shows and performance were one of the best part of this place
Slow to get going, big breaks between the actual entertaining, the entertainment was just aerial shows and lasers, nothing I hadn’t seen before, no story or rhyme or reason to anything, the rest was just brash, young girls flashing their boobs on the crowd cam, waiters pouring spirits into guests mouths. I kept thinking something will happen in a minute but it didn’t just more of the same. I’ve been better entertained at a high school end of term show. Couldn’t wait to leave wasn’t our thing at all. The waiter was very attentive and kept the drinks flowing faster than we could drink them for a few tips. The hotdog/mini burger wasn’t great, the chips with it were ok. We had gold members tickets the seats were good in comparison to others but squashed and restricting no room to dance. The ladies toilet is 1 single cubicle that doesn’t lock with a massive security woman watching your every move, I presume they have problems with drugs. Couldn’t find the way out, we were shoved out a fire escape. If you don’t want tequila pouring down your neck and you aren’t into flashing your boobs I’d probably say don’t bother.
Extremely good entertainment. Dancing show with food and beverage free on VIP place. All good with the performances and the place was organized and extremely good environment.
The show was brilliant. Really enjoyed all of the performances and I would defo recommend. Pros - Entertained thought. - Table service was quick for drinks. - Good air con. - Friendly staff. - Food was good. Cons - Paid for the gold package but the line took ages to get in. - People who weren’t gold hovering behind me and over my shoulder to see the acts.
Amzing, insane, and crazy. Better than a Vegas show. Take Studio 54 and combine with Cirque de Soleil then sprinkle in Moulin Rouge. BUT… also priced like Vegas. Gold ticket 175$USD gets you upstairs but then the hard upsell starts. You want a chair? You want to be closer? You want drinks included? That upsell will get you front row balcony close to the stage with 10 drinks, and that was was an extra 100$USD person (negotiated down from $200 per person). Well worth the price. Total with tip 600$ for two people. I justified it by comparing it to a Vegas show price. Overall: Amazing Just wish they were upfront about the actually pricing policy.
Very badly over rated. Over sold and mediocre shows at best. VIP seating is actually worse than simply standing at the general admission floor section.
Seating: We booked our tickets online and went for the gold package. However, our seats weren’t great as we were on the top tear. We couldn’t see over the heads of other guests and felt too far away from the show. We were very quickly offered seating on the ground floor for an additional cost (65 dollars). The seating was just a row of steps with a very small table, not big enough for four people to sit down or stand around. This was really disappointing. As the area filled we had little to no room to sit or stand. We were ushered off the second step we used so each of us could sit so that tables behind us could be sold to other customers. This really impacted on our experience and as a result we left the show early. Food and drink: We had a small burger and a handful of chips which was enough to tide us over. Included in the gold ticket purchase was a drinks package - this was not worth the money. We were given a bottle of flavoured vodka and tonic but not everyone in the group wanted to drink this. Getting to the nearest bar was impossible and no service was offered to get these for us. As a result little of the drinks package was used. The show: Wow! It really is amazing and worth a visit. Don’t but a package and just get in the queue early to get good seating.
This is a must do whenever in Cancun so much energy In the building very fun place to be always a vibe the music is good and the show is good to
Attended the Disco and Show with some hesitance due to the price of entrance for a Gold Member Ticket. I can tell you it was way beyond our expectations. There was 8 of us. They seated us in a spot that was just perfect for us and right beside the upper stage where the shows are performed. All of our drinks and snacks were included. Our waiter did not allow us to go thirsty or hungry in the 5 hours we were there. The shows and dancers were spectacular. The DJ keeps you energized with music while new shows are setting up. At times it was like watching a Cirque Du Soleil performance. No nonsense in the club staff and security keeps things well controlled. If you’re not an alcohol drinker no problem lots of water soft drinks and virgin drinks available. And no dress code which is a bonus in the heat. The club does have AC. All in all a great experience would recommend it for a good night out. We paid USD.
