They should know you are rushed. Be prepared to move on one minute. Besides the stature, watch other photo opportunities. I didn't care for the tpue guide Roger. He catered to those that knew Spanish when this suppose to he a English speaking tour. Je was very impatience and sometimes angry. We got charged and extra 50.00 and I still don't understand when everything was paid for upfront. This is definitely a scamming tour or tour guide.

We were very pleased with their service! They provided us with a private van for eight adults, and took us to the Mayan runs in Tulum, swimming at 4 Cenotes and a buffet taco lunch at Casa Tortuga, and then to see the Mother Earth statue south of Tulum —- all for $150 per person. (If you are in Cancun its cheaper without the private van) We were picked up at 9am in a very nice van and the driver stayed with us all day until he brought us home at 6 PM. We spent as much time at each stop as we wanted, it was great! The driver even stopped at gas station so we could fill up our cooler with drinks for the day. Overall I would highly recommend MyCancunTours for everything from Cancun to Tulum and all areas in between.
You have to be ready for a long day. The only thing I did not like that they do not do pick up at all of the resorts. We had to pay extra $100 for taxi to get to the pick up location and back. Also, the drop of time was around 9.30 pm, and after that we had to look for taxi with the kid and that was very uncomfortable. Other then that the trip was good.
The tour was a false advertisement. I can't believe this has a "badge of excellence" from Viator. Jesus, our tour guide, picked us up (4 people) from our hotel at 7:15 am; he told me the taxes were $5 per person, and my e-mail indicated $4 pp. I didn't argue, as it was at the beginning of our tour. I gave him $20. The driver stopped at a location, and we waited for over an hour. Then, a group of people got in. There were more than 50 people on the bus. There were no explanations for why this was the case. On the bus, Jesus started collecting money for the taxes, and he charged the Mexican speakers only $4 for the taxes. Another "tour guide," Sergio, introduced himself and said he and Jesus would be the tour guides. Sergio took the lead and asked how many English speakers there were, so only the four of us raised our hands; so much for an English Tour. For some reason, he spoke Spanish for the MAJORITY of the time. I had to use a translator app to understand what was happening. Per the ticket information- what to expect: Tulum Archeological Site 45mins, Cenotes 2 hours, and (Mother Nature) Sculpture 1 hour. This iterinary was not followed. Our first stop was Mother Nature - we were told to take a picture, one minute per person, and return to the vehicle. We waited and waited for the other people to show up. Sergio and Jesus needed to provide clear instructions and honor it. Everyone's time is important. Our second stop was the Archeological Site at Tulum. We are again told to wait at this store, not knowing what's happening. It "seems" like we are waiting for the other people. Sergio walked us to the Archeological Site and told us to return to the meeting place at 1:45 pm. Once again, we waited and waited. We left the place at 2:30 pm , and then we had lunch. The last stop was the four cenotes. It was supposed to be a 2-hour activity. Again, that didn't happen. We left the cenotes at 6:30 pm, and that should be it - the inconsistent and inconsiderate tour should be over - but no, the bus stop at Playa De Carmen, Sergio said, "return in 45 minutes to get a dessert." This tour wasted a lot of our time that we didn't sign up for. This tour is not what I bought. We got dropped off at our hotel at 10:45 pm. Viator should check if this company is worthy of the "Badge of Excellence." the tour wasted our time; it wasn't an English Tour, and they overcharged us - all this inconvenience without explanation.
Worth every dime. Our pick up was in Cancun making it an early morning for us. The first 2.5-3 hours were picking up. They gave us a motning snack the a hot delicious lunch. Once in Tulum we saw the Giant Sculpture then Tulum Ruins, bring comfortable walking shoes tennis for this part as it's lots of rocks, gravel and walking, next was the cenotes swim, bring a water camera for videos and wear water shoes as more gravel walking, this was fun too and lastly Playa Del Carmen was shopping and tasty treats from food vendors..... Omar was our guide, he was funny. This was worth it!
Nice trip but the trip got the whole day from 8am to 10pm, and most of the instructions by the tour guide was in Spanish.
This was the longest tour of our time in Mexico. We booked an English speaking tour and were met only with Spanish speaking tour guide. He asked us if we spoke Spanish and we said no. He said oh ok and then asked another tour guide if they had room in his bus on the first stop… which he didn’t. Breakfast was a ham sandwich, an apple, and a juice box. The first stop was about 15 min (the statue) then we went to the ruins. If you want a tour guide there you’ll have to pay because our tour guide didn’t go in. The tour guide at the ruins was the best part of our trip. He was very thorough, answered questions, was knowledgeable, and friendly. We then went to the cenotes. The life jackets and lockers weren’t included. We didn’t swim. We hung out at the bar but the people we were on the bus with said our tour guide left them in the cenote. This stop was two hours. Lunch was about an hour as well in this little restaurant on a side street. We were able to choose our meals when we got on the bus and lunch was pretty good. We then went to a shopping hub which was an hour and fifteen minutes for souvenirs. We were picked up at 8 and we didn’t get back to the hotel until 7:30. I would not recommend this tour.
Beautiful places and nice experience with the tour. Totally recommended and I will go back to visit new places that I missed.
The attractions on this tour were wonderful, but we felt that the organized of the tour was a bit mismanaged. We had taken this tour during our honeymoon in tulum. To arrive at our meeting point where the tour began, we had to take an $35 usd cab ride to a super market in el centro, just to be taken to our first attraction which was only .75 miles down the road from our hotel. We feel like it would’ve been ok for the tour operators to have us met them at the first attraction to save time and money. The Second attraction was the Tulúm ruins. It was wonderful, but it did feel a bit rushed as the bus parked a long way away from the ruins, therefore consuming a lot of time to walk to the bus to the ruins, and then again from the ruins to bus. We then were taken about 10 minutes driving PASSED the third attraction to have lunch at another location. While lunch was included and delicious, we feel it would have been a much better use of our time if we were to spend more time at attraction and we could have lunch there. Then we went to the cenotes, which were absolutely beautiful, and we could have spent a lot more time there than just the 2 hours that were allotted. We will definitely be returning to the cenotes on another trip!
Tour was great, but VERY long day. I was not prepared for the additional stop at Playa Del Carmen. Highlights were the stop to Cenotes and Sculpture for our group. We did not get back to the resort until 9 PM (departed the hotel at 7:10 AM). I would recommend tour to others.
Never again! Airbnb, needs to crack down on tour companies using its platform to promote a false sense of an Airbnb experience. There were so many things terribly wrong with this “experience.” Allow me to break down my experience as Follows: I was told by Gabriel the driver was in my hotel lobby and he was looking for me, he wasn’t. I was standing outside when the driver pulled up. FIRST RED flag. I began receiving calls and text messages from Trip Advisor. Strange because I didn’t book any Cancun tours with them. I messaged Gabriel and asked him what was going on and if this tour hosted by a tour company. He lied and asked me to ignore and block the calls and text messages from the tour company. I reconfirmed with the tour guide, Christian about this tour, and he assured me that everything was okay. At that time, I received a called from tour company telling me that I have got on the wrong bus. I asked him to speak with the phone representative as I don’t know what is going on (at this point, I lost interest in this tour). I would not advise this experience to anyone, specifically a solo lady traveler. About the tour: < Once the Christian checked the attendance and collected the $15 dollars, he proceeded to hand everyone their lunch bag which included 1 of each sandwich, apple, juice box dessert cookie and breath mint. < The first stop on this tour was the Tulum ruins. A few others and I were asked to join another tour guide (from another company) that spoke English. We arrived at this stop shortly after 11:20 am and needed to meet the bus no later than 12:30PM. Hence, were not able to conclude with the full ruins tour. This portion of the tour was super rushed. < Next, we arrived at Muyil and saw another ruin/temple and then to a break for lunch. Respectfully, the lunch was the highlight of the entire “experience”. < WE DID NOT STOP AT ANY BEACHES!!! Upon arrival to the Cenote, I took note that this Cenote looked NOTHING like what is pictured as being a part of this experience. Guests climbed down a “hole” with over 80 steps to get to the water. I can’t swim and only desired to take photos. The tour guide Christian insisted I should have some excitement and swim even though I mentioned to him I can’t swim. He jokingly suggested that he should push me in the water. Not cool. Lastly, we stopped at Playah de Carmen 7:30Pm, giving the group and hour to walk around. Upon return, the bus was nowhere to be found! I had to contact Gabriel to help me hunt this bus down. Totally not a great feeling at all. At the end, the driver dropped me to the main entrance of the hotel security checkpoint. Christian (tour guide called me a cab to drive me the rest of the way to the hotel. Once I entered the cab, THAT DRIVER had the child lock on! This was an Airbnb experience from hell! I will NEVER book this experience, and I will not recommend it to anyone else, particularly ladies traveling alone! This “experience” lasted 15 damn hours!! Killed my entire day!
4 Cenotes, Giant Sculpture, and Ruins Tour very LONG day. 7:30am-9:30pm They advertise that they speak English but, because the majority of the group was spanish speakers that was what was spoken most of the time. There had to be a special effort to speak to the few of us that spoke ONLY English. The Ruins I found to be not that interesting. I liked the Cenotes although our tour guide did a horrible job of keeping our group together. At one point we were told to go to the van in the parking lot and we could not even find the driver had to walk around the lot for while and eventually come back to the guide and tell him that we could not find the van. When driving back to Cancun from Tulum it was raining and on the main road there was some issue with the truck driving right in front of us. I was dozing off and woke up to the van slightly slamming on its brakes. I noticed with the rest of the van two men harassing our driver apparently they threw something at our van and instead of our driver backing off away from the truck who was trying to cut us off he was driving very close to the truck and it was very frightening. One of the passengers next to me told our bus driver something in Spanish and he backed away from the truck. Apparently told him to back off. That blew me away just the fact that he thought it was okay to put everyone life in danger . If I were to do this all again I would do a much shorter tour. The ruins and lunch with one Cenote. No shopping or Giant sculpture stop. The Giant sculpture took way too much time. Long line of people taking photos with this sculpture. We were just ready to get to the good stuff. The bus ride was going to be 2 hours already without this long photo stop.
AMAZING ! The tour guide was super cool & diving into the cenotes was unbelievable! The water is so clear. The caves are amazing. The whole staff working there is super welcoming. I love how humorous they are. Definitely recommend!
A Nice visit to Tulum and refreshing swimming in the cenotes. Although 1 hour in Carmen beach felt bit rushed and not sure what we could have done in the end of the day and the guide in Tulum is not included in the price.
We visited some amazing sites and had a great time, however I warn you, this is not an 8-10 hour tour it’s 14 hours. We were not totally prepared for that but, it really was a lot of fun! Especially swimming in the cenote caves!! And the Tulum ruins
Bus stopped in every town to pick up people until they filled bus. We got to Tulum at noon at this time I was so angry that pid 100usd for a cab to take me back to hotel. Viator has refused to refund me. Note: this was a 139 dollar tour per person, we were 2!
Fantastic day! We used Altournative adventures and tours Tulum, Coba, Chi Much cenote and enjoyed lunch in a Mayan village. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly! She even arranged for us to get a Mayan certificate for our anniversary. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a LONG day. We all agreed seeing one of the ruins would have been enough. Even though they are spectacular. I recommend two excursions if you want to see multiple ruins. It was a lot. And by the 9th hour of your excursion each ruin starts to look the same. Other than that it was a spectacular day! The food in the village was amazing. The cenote was breathtaking. Couldn’t ask for more!!
Be careful to pick this tour. We had a worst experienced. From pick up time towards the entire trip. They pick up us late, second we transfer 3times in the bus. After they settled everything about transportation they put us on a wrong tour. They gave us a different one. They don’t even informed us that tulum was closed for almost a week. But they never say anything. Instead they pushed us to take the tour that they have. We tell the guide we did not booked that trip because we already did It before. They said if we don’t want to go, we have to pay our own transportation going back to the hotel. And one of the guide was so rude. In other words whatever you see in their add was totally different of what you are going to get. So be careful of what you booked and make sure you had a copy of what they offer. It is a total disaster. We booked a tour to Tulum with Coba and two cenote plus supposed to be snorkel gear are included but we didn’t get it.
Jamie and George assisted us on our zipling experience while on our honeymoon and we couldn't recommend them more! Such high spirits, great teachers and amazing people. The entire staff is so helpful whether you decide to zipline, do a cave tour, or swim in cenotes, we couldn't be happier with our experience!
The tour guide was very informative and well spoken. The ruins at Tulum were amazing and so were the cenotes. However, 3 members in our group were charged an extra $600 by the tour guide after we had already paid for the excursion out of nowhere! The tour company and merchant have not responded to my emails. I would stay away from this tour and go with a different company that offers a similar experience.
What an awesome day trip to the Tulum ruins. When you walk through the tunnel to get to the city you are greeted by a beautiful site, as you walk toward the cliffs the ocean view is amazing and a perfect spot for some pictures.
Our tour guides Roberto, Poncho and Benjamin were amazing! They were very well informed super nice and we got to experience some real authentic Mexican culture. Will consider doing again! Thanks guys!
The trip was long from our resort but very much worth it. Tulum was an awesome ruins site. Our guides Luis, Lee, and Marcos are great. They made sure we were well informed and gave great history on the site as well. The second part was the dual Cenote sites at Aktun Chen. The first a dry stalagtite and stalagmite underground cave. The second was a underground river in a cave where we snorkeled in water filled with fish. Awesome and worth every cent of the trip. Highly recommended.
The tour was great and our guide Lee was awesome. It was a little hectic for us at first only because we don't speak Spanish but once we got a hang of what was going on, we relaxed and had a great time. You don't have to speak Spanish for this tour so don't let that scare you! We just got a little overwhelmed at the beginning. There were so many moving parts with all the different tours going on and it was impressive how Lee was able to keep track of everyone and was always on time. It seemed like the tour was personalized to us
Tulum was ok. I'm not that into the ruins. It was very crowded. But, the underground cenote was amazing. If I could have that day back, I would spend my whole day at AktunChen. They have ziplines, an amazing cave and the underground cenote, food and animals. (Spider monkeys, deer, javelina peacocks and iguanas. The water in the cenote is the most clear water I have ever seen. Our guide, Jamie, was great. He took his time showing us around and then we had plenty of time to ourselves to swim and take pictures.
We went on an awesome tour with an awesome tour guide Lee. Lee was very informative and treated us like royalty. He was very attentive and made sure we were well informed about everything. He even carried our sunblock so we didn’t have to take it into Tulum with us. We were the only ones going to the Cenote tour and made sure we made it into the right vehicle to get there. We were on another tour where the tour guide left us to figure out where we were going and that is very frustrating. We enjoyed talking and joking with Lee, he is awesome. Look for Lee on your next Translamex tour, he will take good care of you.
Enjoyed a great Tour with our guide Lee who was super friendly. The highlight of the day for me was swimming in the cenote. Definitely a once in a life experience
Luis and steven were great guides. We had the place to ourselves. Impressive experience and very fun and professional guys!
Wow! If you have the opportunity to take this tour, do it. The Tulum guide was full of information, very friendly with a great sense of humor. Lunch and Aktun Chen was wonderful. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The Cenote was the highlight of the day; beautiful, cool, historic...just amazing!!
My husband and I had a great time. Everyone was so friendly. The trip was very educational. Our guide Luis was informed of all the things we were doing. Thank you for a great trip.
The tour was amazing, all the guides Alan, and Lee, were very entertaining and helpful. I highly recommend the tour. The Cenote Aktung Chen is a must visit. Few people and very clean.
Luis, Librado and Victor are great tour guys always on time and great giving intructions thank you guys !!
Christian and Juan Carlos were our tour guides they did an awesome job! Very friendly and knowledgeable I was impressed and the unlimited drinks were very nice! Loved the tour felt totally safe to put myself and my family in their hands. Thank you we will come back and definitely recommend it!
If you want to see the ruins of Tulum, but don’t want to be overheating all day this is a great trip! The ruins were amazing and the caves were beautiful! The water in the Cenote was cold but it felt great and was a very cool experience. My wife and I had no shortage of great photo ops throughout the day. All the guides were very good! Librado was our guide after leaving Tulum and he was very knowledgeable and personable! My wife and I would both recommend this tour!
My husband and I visited Tulum and Cenote on an excursion through our resort and had an amazing time. The ruins in Tulum were incredible the caves in Cenote were unbelievably amazing. I highly recommend this trip and our guide librado was very great and helpful as well!
First off, I want to make this point very clear: It was safe for the whole family. The staff was professional and courteous. The tour was fun and it was cool to see the ruins and to swim in a Cenote. It was a good tour, it just was not what we expected and the timeline was a touch of a setback To begin, they did not pick us up for the tour at our hotel, but made us travel to a different pickup location. It would have been no issue if to pick us up at the hotel we were staying at, but they made us travel a mile up the road to be picked up at the different hotel. (no, no one else was waiting there, it was just us). We got there 30 minutes before our pickup time (09:45) to be sure we were early. We did not get picked up until after 10:15. We got climbed on our full tour bus (which was no problem) and we headed off to what we thought was the start of our tour (the Tulum ruins was first, followed by the Cenote). Instead they dropped off several other tours first. Basically, they hire a big bus and put a number of different tours on it that are all in a similar location. So you spend more time that you would like stopping at things that are not your trip while people load and unload. After unloading some folks for a different tour, we left for Tulum and got a below average tour of the ruins. The guide was nice (we did not have the same guide of the whole day, but rather had different guides for different portions of the trip). but only gave a very topical overview of the ruins (about 10 minutes). Beings I'm not Mayan, I was excited to learn about the Mayan's, but instead got told very little. Again, he was polite, just not educational. We were told to meet back at the bus at 13:45. We were the only ones who made it back on time. The bus finally loaded and left at 14:15. We then went to Aktun Chen (which is a pretty cool place) after dropping off some other folks for another tour. After the tour of the Cenote, we went back to one of the previous drop points for a different tour and waited for almost an hour for them to load up. We then got dropped back at our pickup location, not our hotel. All that to say, the trip was good, just ended up being over 10 hours and only 4 of that was really seeing/doing anything. The rest of the time was sitting and waiting and wondering what was going on.
This tour was by far the best one I have done out here. Food was provided and Luis was extremely helpful and pleasant to have as a tour guide! Highly recommend it! See you soon Luis!
Went on this tour July 2019. Would highly recommend to anyone that visits here. Amazing tour company with great tour guide Lewis. Definitely a must do!
My son and I had a great day out seeing the Tulum ruins and swimming in the centre with our very helpful guide Luis
Great excursion ,excellent tour guide luis Cervantes. He has a great knowledge of these place, he is very kind and helpful.
So the tour is really good. There are only two downsides. I'll get to those. They pick you up at your hotel and take you to a meeting point to get everyone on the right bus. Takes a little while but that's how all these tours operate. Once on our bus our guide, Luis, was terrific. Explained everything that was going to happen and the timing of everything. It's about a 1.5 hot drive to Tulum. Then you're there and you walk to the ruins, get a short guided tour, and then free time to explore. This is all great, but the ruins just aren't that exciting. We headed back to our lunch spot early, there just wasn't that much to see. Then got back on transport, then changed to smaller transport to get to lunch. Lunch was pretty good. Had lots of options and everyone seemed happy. Too bad it was 2pm. We were picked up from our hotel at 7am. If we hadn't brought snack bars and been in the all inclusive for some beers and tons of extra water we would have been starving. Who doesn't eat from 7am until 2pm? Anyway, bring snacks, and lots of water or go all inclusive (we drank 8+bottles of water). The caves and underground cenote are also really cool, but just not that much to see. If you've never done a cave tour before it would probably be a lot cooler, but we've done a half dozen or so. The swimming in the cenote was also awesome, but after 15-20 minutes, we, and most of our group was done. All in all, great tour, great transportation, great guide, just not the most amazing sites.
My husband and I had a great experience! Translamex picked us up from our hotel and we headed to Tulum. Make sure to take a lot of water, good walking shoes and even an umbrella. It is very hot and the sun was beaming!! We left the Mayan ruins in Tulum and headed to Aktun Chen. Luis and driver (I think Roberto?) did a great job! Luis was very nice and friendly and explained the tour very well. The staff at Aktun Chen was phenomenal! Everyone was super friendly! Thank you to the restaurant staff, food was freshly cooked and delicious! I got 3 chicken tacos (they are huge, lots of meat!), rice and beans. The underground walk through the cave was beautiful and the cenote swimming.... oh my goodness, it was perfect!!! Cinthia did a great job as well. Overall, great experience! Thank you to Translamex! We will be back very soon! -Valerie and Cesar de Texas
Our tour Guides name was Luis. He was very friendly and made sure we always knew where to go and gave us clear instructions. We went to Tulum. It Was Beautiful and our tour guide was so knowledgable. We also went to the underground cave, we got to walk around and also swim in the caves. We loved it and highly recommend it.
My husband and I had a great time today. Translamex tours picked us up right on time. Lee our tour guide was very organized and explained a lot along the way, very educational experience. He was professional and courteous and made sure everyone was taken care. We had a great time and will definitely be using Translamex tour's again in the near future.
It was a full and fun filled day. Interesting facts of the Tulum ruins. Refreshing snorkeling in Cenote caves and nearby reefs. Would recommend this for anyone looking for an adventure for a day.
We are super grateful for Lee and Jaime's Service throughout the day. We had enough time to appreciate the Tulum and Cenotes complex and also to take pictures. The tour is well-scheduled and gives you plenty of information about the places we visit.
The park is a beautiful place where you find animals in free life, the cenote is beautiful, and the spectacular cave of you, speaking of natural sites.. on the other hand the fun is in zip line.. I want to thank all the people who made this day even more special with their patience and kindness.. to the zip line boys Joshua, George and Javier, to the dry cave boy Diego for the interesting information during the tour, to chyntia de cenote and to Mr. Jaime. I hope to come back. Excellent place.
It is a more rustic park, but with extremely attentive and friendly staff. The walks in the cave and the Cenote are spectacular. The park is very well taken care of and diving in the Cenote is a unique experience. Being a smaller park is much more interactive. The staff is attentive and Jaime who guided us in the Cenote is very good. A cheap and extremely pleasant ride.
We hired the excursion with Traslamex and we just finished it, we can not fail to recommend it. Our guide to Aktun Chen and back to the hotel, Li, is charming, very respectful and professional and we are very grateful to him. Tulum is very beautiful but the heat can be exhausting, from the bus parking lot to the temples there is a stretch, so I recommend taking it easy, the first idea is to take a dip in the beautiful beach that is under the ruins, but today for example the sea was very moved and murky so it was not as palatable as it could seem at first. In any case the second part of the tour left us relaxed and cool. Aktun Chen Cenote is inside a nature reserve, it is a grotto cenote therefore the water is absolutely crystal clear as no leaves or soil fall. Stalactites, stalagmites and columns cover the entire grotto. The facilities are very clean and we were lucky to be practically alone in the cenote, so we enjoyed twice the activity. Thank all the staff of the park but especially Jaime, our guide in cenote who practically made us a private tour with almost no tourists.
Our guide (Lee) very attentive, always explained the necessary of the place. We visited first tulum with a detailed explanation by Poncho of the archaeological site and the beach, the heat was unbearable, for us but it was not a factor that prevented us from making the tour, and later aktun chen, which we loved, the verdun we had enough time in each site, and we enjoyed the cenote in all its splendour, the food we were offered very rich, and the guides inside the parke of aktun, very attentive. Transportation was always very punctual, Great experience.
