It was very memorable. I would highly recommend going. It’s a great time for everyone and offered many unforgettable experiences.

I hate to leave negative reviews however they were 45 minutes late. We had a really hard time understanding the tour guide Silvestri. Luis the driver was great.
We had a wonderful day, Tulum was super beautiful, Mary knew so much interesting information about it. The cenote was amazing, exactly what I was hoping for. It was a long day but that’s just because we were leaving from Cancun. The van was comfortable and we were picked up on time.
The tour was okay, but the ruins were pretty close to Tulum, so it would be easy to do on your own. The guide was nice, but not very engaging. When we first arrived to the ruins everyone split up before we entered, so we kind of just hung around for about 10 mins unsure of what was going on. The cenote was pretty, worth a visit.
What an amazing day. Lovely weather, beautiful water to swim in, tasty tacos and mean margaritas! Tobias is a cocktail connoisseur
I’m so glad I booked this experience instead of a different Tulum/cenote tour! I did a lot of research and it paid off. Jackie and Pedro were great. Jackie has so much knowledge about Mayan culture, even my teenagers were listening. Our group was the only one at the cenote and the tacos were amazing. Highly recommended.
We had an absolutely amazing day in Tulum! We were picked up right on time at our hotel by our friendly driver Hugo and our wonderful guide Gabriel. At the archaeological park, Gabriel shared his incredible knowledge of Mayan culture and history with us. The ruins were fascinating, the views were stunning, and we even saw plenty of iguanas and a beautiful beach below. After exploring the ruins, we visited a breathtaking cenote where we swam in the crystal-clear water — such a refreshing and unforgettable experience! To finish off the day, we enjoyed some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. On the way back, we made a quick stop to see some beautiful spider monkeys — such a lovely surprise to end a perfect day. Everything was perfectly organized, and both Hugo and Gabriel made the experience truly special. We’re so happy we chose this tour — it was the highlight of our trip :)
Our guide Mari was excellent, very knowledgeable about the ruins. She gave us helpful hints prior to getting off the van. Opt for the lunch and get the tacos, so delicious. Bring a towel for the cenote and the water is cold! I knocked a star off as it was impossible to call the company like they asked ahead of time. Trip advisor staff really helped out. The Cancun travel experience should use what’s app!
We drove around in circles picking up people and in one case, waited 45m for a family. The travel time both ways was over 5 hours when it should have been 2-2.5h max. It kind of ruined what were 2 beautiful experiences. The cenote was lovely - small, quiet, refreshing and the Tulum ruins were pretty cool too - lovely area. But just not worth spending 3/4th of a day with most of it driving in random directions.
My family and I went to Tulum in August 2025. We stayed in Tulum so the pickup spot was only a few miles from our hotel. Plastic bottles (water bottles) are not allowed inside the ruins. There's a store where you can purchase canned water and a towel (you're going to need it). Aside from the August heat, the Tulum ruins were a must see. The cenote trip after the ruins gave us a chance to cool down. The only thing I didn't like was the $40 fee for local tourism. I was unaware of this until I received the email the night before the excursion.
We had a great time on our Tulum tour. We were picked up directly from our hotel and joined by a few others along the way. Everything was well-organized and smooth from the start. Our guide, Silvestre, was knowledgeable and friendly—he shared interesting facts and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the trip. The cenote themselves were nice and we had plenty of time to swim, explore, and enjoy the surroundings and grab lunch after our swim. Overall, a really enjoyable and memorable experience. Highly recommend if you're visiting Tulum!
We got picked up at our hotel, picked up a few other cool peeps at neighboring hotels, then with a van full of career aged adventurers we were off to explore. Our guide was knowledgeable and good at keeping tour schedule. Our driver was fantastic. Worth seeing and doing!
Abbi was a good tour guy. The tour guy inside the ruins was not the best but he was a federal employee, not with Viator. The cenote was great, but not the one mentioned in the description. We went to Puerto Maya, which was more secluded and we were the only ones there. The food truck there was delicious, but expensive.
They did not have no contact with me about the tour at all and I was waiting for 20 minutes to be picked up. Very upset and now my travel plans are ruined for the day.
Tulum is too hyped up for what it is. I think it’s outrageously expensive and not worth the trip. I paid the company extra to pick me up and drop me off from my hotel and they didn’t do that. I did them a favor by walking to the meeting point in Playa Del Carmen since there was no sign of them picking me up from my hotel. They called me 15 minutes before 9 to say they just saw my reservation. To be fair, I did book in the middle of the night, hours before. However, if their calendar allows you to do so, I would imagine they would have a good system to catch all of these late reservations. Their description said if you are booking with 24 hours, to contact the company at the number provided. I did to no avail. The phone rang and rang and I couldn’t get through to anyone. It was meet luck that someone called me 15 minutes before scheduled departure. The driver was very nice and professional. A very kind man. Unfortunately, we got stuck on an English tour despite the fact that I specifically requested a Spanish tour. Luckily, I’m fluent in English, but my travel buddy was not and was unable to get the full experience of the tour. As a Mexican Citizen, I’m fully aware that the mandatory Mexican Government fee can be discounted with proof of your national ID. I mentioned this to the driver, but he said that was only on Sunday’s and that I needed to pay in full… I have a hard time believing this as other archeological sites grant discounts to citizens any day of the week. I paid in full anyway because I was already deep in the hole with them. The tour in Tulum was only about 25 minutes. I expected a whole history lesson and instead got a Spark Notes overview of the city that left me unsatisfied. That said, I felt I overpaid for what I got.
It was an awesome experience , the tourist guide were super good Nice and cool shuttle, super friendly Tulum ruins are amazing and super clean
We got scammed. The person never showed up and they didn’t answer the phone. We tried calling multiple times and was at the pick up location on time.
It was my family’s first time visiting Tulum, and the experience was absolutely amazing and well-organized from start to finish. If you’re staying in Playa del Carmen, the bus ride is much shorter compared to coming from Cancun, which is a plus! Our first stop was the Tulum Ruins. To get to the park entrance, we walked through a small vendor area—feel free to support them if you’d like! The ruins themselves were stunning and rich with fascinating history. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor—we absolutely loved her! The tour lasted about 45 minutes to an hour, which was the perfect amount of time. Next, we visited the Akumal Cenote, which I believe is family-owned. Regardless, we felt so welcomed by everyone there! The staff was super kind, and the cool water was a refreshing break from the heat. There’s also a bar for drinks and a food stand offering tacos and burgers—both were absolutely delicious! Overall, my family and I had an unforgettable time. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area!
Trip started out a little rough with transportation but Abby got us back on track and we had a wonderful day. He was extremely attentive to our needs.
Abbi and Felipe provided a GREAT time. The ruins of Tulum were explained in detail and we had several opportunities to explore on our own. The swim at the cenote was fantastic! What a great experience.
Aubi was a wonderful and organized tour guide, and made sure everyone was safe and doing well under the Yucatan sun. Jesus got us to our destinations on time. The cenote was beautiful! Great tour overall!
Wonderful to hear the rich history from a local and appreciate the age and past of Tulum. Exploring the cenote was a very unique and special experience capped off with authentic roadside tacos!
This Tulum and Cenote experience was an unforgettable experience. Mary is a funny gal :) super detailed with her history knowledge! This Cenote is a PRIVATE site for only this travel agency so only the tour excursion passengers had access to this cenote! That was AMAZING!! Tulum is hot so just stay hydrated and take sunscreen! It’s beautiful though! MY FAMILY AND I LOVED THIS TOUR! I HIGHLY recommend this tour! :) thank you Mary! :)
This was a great tour. Just enough time to see the ruins & cenote and get back to our hotel for the afternoon. Our driver Adi was on time and great. The cenote was amazing. Not busy at all. Loved that we had the place to our self. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Not old but newer VW passengers vehicle. We had a great trip
Great experience for the price. Would definitely do it again. Our guide, Maria, was very helpful and friendly.
Nice trip, it’s a full day experience. We got picked up at the hotel at 7.25am and got back at 4.00pm ish.. very comfy bus so the transportation is no problem. Jackie was our guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. The ruins in Tulim is worth the trip, and the stop at the cenote for swimming and tacos was nice. It was pretty hot in the Tulum site, so recommend to bring a hat and wear a minimum of clothing.
This was an absolute rip off. They charged so much money and the entire experience was very poor. The bus ride was very slow and we reached almost 4 hours after leaving from Hotel Zone in Cancun. Julian, our guide was not so great. He put so many restrictions on not taking bags etc, when there was no issues whatsoever. He barely provided any information about the Mayan Ruins and the culture. At the ruins, we (English speaking people) were asked to go with a different guide. He seemed so disinterested and barely stayed with us for 10-15 mins. We were given only 1 hour in total to stay at the Mayan Ruins, including to and fro from the parking lot. Then we visited a cenote which was very basic (as compared to the cenote we visited during our trip to Chichen Itza. I would stay away from this tour company, they are just looking to make money. You are better off coming here on your own if you have rented a car.
Our excursion was booked for 10am. We were supposed to arrive ten minutes before hand. We arrived at the address that we were given 20 minutes prior to departure. At 9:50 we called to make sure the van was coming. We were told they would be there at 10:00. At 10:10 we called again because the van had still not showed up. Whoever I spoke with told us that the van was at Burger King (this is not the location stated in the directions). I told the man we would be there shortly to please not leave us. When we arrived at Burger King, there was still no van. So I called the number again. He informed me that the driver left. I asked for a refund and was told that I needed to contact his attorney. Which seems a bit extreme. All in all this was an awful experience with poor communication and a complete waste of money.
Unbelievable experience! We had the best tour guides. Very informative. The Tulum ruins are amazing, it was hot as heck, definitely recommend bringing a shade umbrella. No plastics in the park, so make sure you carry water in an aluminum bottle. Juan was a gem, he knew so much information and spoiled us with knowledge. Wish we had more time to keep talking with him. The cenote swim after at Puerto Maya was the best way to finish a beautiful day! The hosts were accommodating to the families with small children too. The water was so refreshing and there is a bar and restaurant there too. Prices are in USD. You can rent lifejackets and lockers too. Saw cool wildlife, lots of iguanas baking in the sun. This was a great start to our vacation and I am so happy with how smooth everything was! Thanks again everyone! 10/10
It was a long walk in 100 degrees during September, only caned water was allowed to be taken there. Remember to take an umbrella with you. The Tour guide was highly knowledgeable and interesting. She explained the history, geography and culture of Mayans in Tulúm.
Beautiful and filled with history and nature. Mary was a wonderful guide, informative and helpful. Cenote was a refreshing second part after the tour of the ruins. Amazing architecture for the time period. Fascinating how it was built and has withstood for centuries. Great family outing for the whole group.
Tour guide Mari was very knowledgeable about the history of the ruins and a good storyteller. She even had photos to highlight the customs of the Mayan people. The visit to Cenote Puerta Maya Akumal was amazing, easy to access the water (not too many stairs), not crowded, and the tacos al pastor were delish. The driver, David, was timely and the ride was comfortable. Things to consider: no plastics or glass allowed at the ruins, pack an insulated or aluminum water bottle. Summer months are hot and humid, bring hydration sticks like Liquid IV or some other electrolytes. Bring a small umbrella for extra shade/sun protection. Although the activity is listed for 8 hours, consider planning other same day activities after 18:00 (6:00pm).
The tour itself was great but we should have been notified that you can’t take water bottles with you. The heat in August is brutal but it was compounded by the fact that we couldn’t take water with us on the tour. The cenote was awesome and the tacos available for purchase were really good! Overall I would recommend this tour but make sure to have an insulated water bottle if you plan to go during the summer months.
Mary and Felipe was so great!! The tour was very informative and exciting. The bus ride wasn’t too long. We had a great experience, definitely recommend!
My husband and I both enjoyed our tour to the Tulum Ruins. Our tour guide Mary and driver Felipe are true professionals! Mary was the best, and it is clear that she is passionate about what she does. Not only did she answer anticipated questions, she spaced out and timed the tour with perfection. We greatly enjoyed the tour of the ruins and the refreshing swim in the cenote was awesome! Communication from the company was excellent and the transportation pick up and drop off was seamless. We also booked our private transportation to/from the airport to our hotel with the same company and it was amazing! I highly recommend this tour and booking experience and will use them in the future without hesitation.
We were the first to be picked up at 7:15 AM. There were 4 other stops to make on the way for pickups (not too bad in my opinion). This made the total journey time ~ 3 hours. Once at Tulum, Jerry did a fantastic job telling us what to watch out for as we made our way through the hectic surroundings. Inside, he gave a very informative presentation for ~ 45 minutes and then we got ~ 45 minutes to explore on our own. Following this, we went back by the entrance where there is a taco stand and all had lunch. The fish tacos here were the best I have ever had. Following lunch, we all got back on the shuttle and took a short ride over to the Cenote. The tour was worth it for the Cenote alone. Beautiful setting and perfect waters for taking a swim after walking around Tulum for a few hours. We got ~ 1 hour at the Cenote and then boarded the bus again. We got back to our hotel ~ 4:30. This is definitely a full day excursion. Yes, there is a lot of time in the shuttle. I saw the direct pickup at the hotel as a convenience as opposed to having to meet somewhere and then get picked up. At this price point, I don't think you will find anything else that is offering a "quicker" trip to Tulum that includes pickup right at your front door. Overall, I enjoyed the trip quite a bit (probably not great for my 5 and 7 year old though with all of the waiting and heat).
Mari was great tour guide. She was very informative and a joy to be around. My only recommendation on the whole experience would be to try to plan out the resorts other people were staying at closer together. One family was picked up at 7 15 while our pick up time was 9 15. I understand having to fill the bus load. But seemed little too far apart. Other than that the expierence was great and learned alot :)
Omar was an amazing tour guide. He gave a great history lesson on the Mayan Ruins as well as went over all rules and restrictions of the area and what to expect. He did the same with our Cenote visit and made it as smooth and enjoyable as it could be! Our van developed a huge oil leak on the way back from Tulum to Cancun. We had to wait approximately an hour for a replacement van. Omar was great at handling the situation and communicating the situation at hand while waiting.
I loved our excursion. Jerry was very knowledgeable and very personable. I can tell he enjoys interacting with the group and he did an amazing job of teaching us about the Mayan culture. The cenote was beautiful. 10/10 would recommend and special shout out to Rene!
The info and insight the tour guide gave was awesome! The cenotes were very open and not as enclosed and cave like as expected.
The actual tour was good and cenote was great. However, the add says Approx 8 hours. We were picked up at 7am dropped off at 6:45 pm. Spent over 7 hours in the van. Missed an event because this tour took longer then advertised
We booked this tour and realized there is another tour that includes Coba ruins and Playa De Carmen priced almost the same. Please install WhatsApp on your phones that way communication becomes easier used by tour operators. We were contacted a day before on WhatsApp and via an email to be ready by 7:25 AM. As soon as I came out of hotel in downtown Cancun, the pickup van was ready 5 minutes before given time. The tour operator than took us to various hotels to pickup remaining passengers. The van was sufficient for 15 people or less and didn’t had any bathroom on board, but the tour guide Sylvester told us that he can stop if given pre-intimation. The tour includes the admission cost but does not include the conservation fees that is $23 or 340 pesos. Better to pay in pesos as you’ll save some. There is a walk of about 0.5 miles before we reach the entrance to ruin so be prepared for that walk both ways. Our tour guide was good with history and explained well but he was heavy on accent, but manageable for me. We took some good photos as Tulum is right on the beach. As we were busy taking photos the tour guide left us and we didn’t realize where he went. We called the tour operator and any other number we could find but still were not able to reach him. Ultimately we decided to go back to place where we parked. Later we ate at Subway as there are very few options over there to eat. After finishing our lunch we went to Cenote Tulum Casa Tortuga. The entrance fees was included. This cenote has multiple cenotes in it and is really easier for family to enjoy in water. Life jacket should be worn but most of the people were not wearing them. Since I didn’t swim so I didn't needed it. This cenote was better because we could go near water without wearing swim costumes and dip our foot in it. There are multiple shops for purchasing item and food. There was tequila tasting included in the tour and I tried few. The return took same route and since we boarded from downtown Cancun we were the last one to be dropped off. We were back in hotel by 6:00 PM. The only thing I didn’t like about this tour was that it covered only Tulum when Coba can also be covered in the same day. Food was not included. Secondly the tour guide left us during Tulum ruins.
Jerry our guide was very sweet and gave us quite a lot of information. You could tell he liked chatting with us and was passionate about the area. I did have to wait 45mn at my pick up point and comms around this were very unclear. First I was told there was an accident on the road, then that some ppl ‘had been lost’. It would have been great to be kept updated so I could stay in my hotel instead of standing out there for nothing.
It was a great experience. The Tulum ruins are impressive and the cenote swimming was quite interesting.
Beautiful location and history was explained in detail. Would of liked longer there. Great swimming in the Cenote, again beautiful surroundings.
A last minute booking as badly let down by another provider. These were very helpful. Good tour and guide.
great tour guides, Carlos Moo, Luis Estrella, Juan bus driver, very informative, down to earth, love
The tour guide Edwin and driver Luis were incredible ! Very informative and interactive. The ruins are definitely worth seeing and the cenote was such a fun experience ! 10/10 would recommend ! I was not prepared for such a long day. If you are considering booking please read further . The day started with 4 hours worth of bus pick ups and travel before arriving in Tulum. Of course this time would vary on the amount of people booked across the multiple hotel pick up options . After visiting the ruins there was an option for free time and a late lunch around 1 pm before heading to the cenote . We left the cenote by 4:30pm and as the last bus stop, arrived back at our condo at 8:30 pm. The tour was worth the long day but I would recommend bringing food , snacks , drinks and anything else you may need while being out for an entire day. Would also be wise to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, swim suit and water shoes of flip flops.
Great experience, short drive to Tulum m, 1 hour walk around ruins, lunch then 40 meal be at denote, back at hotel for 3.30 now ce trip out xx
