The Tulum tour was absolutely incredible and exceeded my expectations! I truly enjoyed every moment. I traveled solo, and I was a little unsure of what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly, welcoming, and fun the group was. The entire experience was unforgettable, from start to finish. It was worth every penny, and I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tulum. If you’re thinking about booking it, don’t hesitate — DO IT! You won’t regret it!

Loved this tour! So much fascinating Mayan history to explore (be prepared to walk!). The cenotes are dark and the water is chilly, but diving in was the perfect end to the day. Truly a great experience!
The excursion itself was good overall, but the transportation and pickup process was extremely disappointing. We were staying at the Westin in Cancun’s Hotel Zone near Playa Delfines. We were told that our hotel was not one of the designated pickup locations, so we had to walk to a nearby hotel. We boarded a bus believing it was taking us directly to the excursion. Instead, we were dropped off near a shopping center on the opposite side of the Hotel Zone and told to wait for another vehicle. We ended up waiting until about 7:45 a.m., and by 8:00 a.m. we were driving right past our own hotel. It made no sense that they couldn’t simply pick us up there instead of putting us through an unnecessary and disorganized transfer. The excursion itself was enjoyable and well worth experiencing. The Cenote experience especially was really good. However, the transportation logistics significantly took away from the overall experience. The return trip was also much longer than expected because the company combines drop-offs for guests staying not only in Cancun, but also in Puerto Morelos and other areas farther away. While I understand the need to accommodate multiple passengers, it made for a very lengthy ride back. Overall, the tour was good, but the pickup and transportation process could be much better organized and communicated.
Highlight was the cave swim in the cenote, it was a great day. Guide was also very passionate & experienced on the local culture.
Great last day for us!! Jackie & Eric were the perfect hosts for our tour. Fun & informative tour of Talum Mayan Ruins. Then lunch and a bit of shopping in the market. The day ended with a Cenote swim where we learned the history and importance of the cenotes to the Mayan before enjoying cool refreshing swim. The birds came out from their stalagmite nests to greet us, long with dragonflies. Great end to the day!!
horrible customer service they arrive early and they never call me to change the pick time i was watting in the point for more than 30 minutes and when i call them., to ask why ,they said the came early .... i request to refund my money but they want to refund me the money because they said is my fall
All went well with the excursion itself. However, it seemed like our excursion was combined with a different excursion. Instead of 2 stops (Tulum Ruins and a Cenote), we had 3. Our booked excursion did not include a stop in Playa del Carmen, but we stopped there. Instead of an ~8 hour tour, it was right around 13 hours. We missed our dinner reservations, and missed time at our resort that we were planning on.
The description of the trip on Viator should be what it is in real life. Why am I going to playa del Carmen to shop for two hours and only being given 25 min of free time at the tulum ruins . Ridiculous… was told 8 hours and it turns into 12.. insane I always have a problem with Viator !!!!!!
cancelled with 24 hour notice. went by ado bus to tullum. ripped off by supposedly tourist guide where ado bus stop. they are not official do not buy anything until you have bought ticket officially guides inside cost 900 peso boat trip not worth it ruins are interestin museum is wondeerful
Company didnt show up. 7:00 am pickup time. No call. Guess we'll see the ruins and cenotes on our next visit.
Our trip was cancelled by the tour provider, Cancun Experience, with very short notice. We had no opportunity to arrange a different tour. The reason provided was the tour guide had a family emergency. It may have had more to do with not selling enough tickets. Very disappointing. Choose a different tour provider to avoid a similar disappointment.
Well organized, nicely paced. and informative tour with a professional, and knowledgeable guide. Most enjoyable time.
This tour was an amazing experience. The ruins were beautiful, and Jackie was a kind, entertaining, and knowledgeable tour guide. Also, the cenote was very remote and almost entirely to ourselves. I would highly recommend!
I understand it was an all day excursion but about 3.5 hours of the days was spent picking up people and taking them back to their hotels. There should be better consolidation to cut this time down. Furthermore, the driver blasted the radio the whole time. I’m hearing impaired and I know if it was annoying to me it was annoying to the other rider.
It was a great day trip. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He allowed us adequate time to sightsee and take pictures. Explained everything very well. The only thing i would have liked to be reminded in tour communication that No disposable water bottles allowed in ruins. Only refillable bottles. Bring Hat and good walking shoes. Great time!
The sites/sights are beautiful and ancient ruins speak for themselves. Go see them. Our guide was not thorough in is explanation of expectations and directions. Six of the eight tourists were completely lost on what to do based on the poor explanations of the guide. One guy got lost and we had to meet him at the exit. The guide did not allow for time to tour the handy crafts and we seemed to get picked up on the side of the road verses the safe designated van and bus area. He had an aggressive verbal exchange with the bus Van lot attendants and then we walked out to the busy road where our driver found us.
Everything from the tour to the food to the cenotes was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend!
Great margarita, beautiful cenote!! We had a wonderful time as part of a tour, and would recommend anyone to come!!!!!!
We didn’t want to travel too far to see a cenote, and we also wanted to see Tulum. We did both in one day with this tour! Lunch was really good, too, and the guide was patient and helpful! Thank you.
Very good organisation. The driver and the owners of the cenote were super friendly and took good care of us. Beautiful places
This is a scam. First, we received an email the night before the trip telling us there was a $40 surcharge per person AND the charge must be paid in dollars or pesos (not credit cards). Notifying us of this $40 tax just hours before the excursion is unreasonable given that they only accept cash. We (as tourists) did not have much cash on hand. The driver could not explain why the surcharge was as much as the actual tour cost and why we had to pay cash. Plus, he said the money was for the "government." This was shady to us. We got out of the van, took our cash back, and did not go on the trip. We were told they would not refund us.
Amazing experience, Tulum ruins were very interesting, and cenote was amazing, the canteen there had tasty burgers and refreshing micheladas. Thanks to Tobias for his excellent hospitality!
Really liked the Tulum tour, learning about the history and having enough time in the attraction. The cenote was beautiful and clean with a nice food truck on site. Only negatives is paying an additional $40 USD per person on pickup, it makes it more expensive than needed. Also, our tour guide was racist towards us and kept skipping us when giving our wristbands, making comments that we snuck into the tour, etc. even 2 white women in the group noticed how we were being excluded. Transportation was good.
A fraud, this company wasted 2 days of our vacation. The first day they claimed that the weather created delays and they cancelled the trip , despite a call from them at 7 am saying it would run. Then told we were booked for the following day , its now the following day and they are unresponsive on WhatsApp and phone. Seems like a fraud to me, best to keep your money and book with someone else.
Tour guide was great, but the drive took 3.5 hours there and over 4 hours back. It was fun but not worth the time spent in the shuttle. Left at 7am and got back at 8pm.
Jackie was a wonderful guide, who described every aspect of the mayan ruins during our visit to Tulum, and very attentive to our requests. Francisco gave us a smooth ride and made it an enjoyable experience.
Great experience all around! Jackie and Francisco were amazing, made our trip to Cancun that much more amazing! Pick up and drop off at our hotel was very convenient!
Ur guide Jaqueline was great! Knowledgeable and so kind. It was Sunday so Tulum was very crowded. The cenote felt like a private stop. Food was delicious, service was good. This cenote had a hammock, a small ledge for jumping, nesting bats (deep in the cave), stairs for entry and overall was gorgeous. Regarding the pick up- We were picked up in Riviera Maya and had 4 hotel stops and a a gas station stop. That was more than we bargained for 3.5 hours for the 90 min commute. Added a lot of extra time to the day. Our driver Gustavo was kind and friendly- the delay wasn’t his fault but that of the scheduler.
The ruins tour was very disappointing. We never got close to the ruins and didn’t even see the main temple. Our guide spent the whole time telling us about how the Mayans sacrificed women. He told us how they did it (very graphically), how they chose the women and what time of year the did it. He wouldn’t allow us to stop and take photos. He kept saying Ko’ox (which means let’s go in Mayan) He took us to the back of the main temple and gave us 5 minutes to take pics. I would’ve gone around to the front had I know we weren’t going to. I’d recommend a self guided tour! Bring a reusable water bottle as no plastic bottles are allowed in the ruins. The cenote was ok. We brought our own lunch which I’d recommend. There’s only a food truck with a limited menu at the cenote. We had over 2 hours for swimming and barely an hour at the ruins. That needs to be switched. There’s nothing to see at the cenote so you don’t need 2 hours to cool off.
We booked last minute, the day before, because my local friend had something come up. This tour was terrific! Our driver Abby and tour guide Jacklyn were amazing! They were punctual with nice vehicles. They were very knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins and kept our kids engaged. We were taken to the best places to take pictures with the Caribbean as our backdrop. The cenote was really good with half exposed area and half covered with stalactites hanging. Gerry happy with our experience!
I did the all inclusive witches nice because you don't have to worry about all the other little taxes everywhere to pay and food and drinks. Frank, Powell and Francisco where so funny and gracious. I loved all of the history about the places we visited. Would do it again.
Nice visit just be careful of billing at the cenote for overcharging.. Also charging in USD contrary to the law.
This was a great tour. Mary was our guide. She is very knowledgeable and provides interesting facts. They provide you with enough time for pictures. The only drawback was that the tour takes about 11.00 hours to complete while the tour from pick up to drop off . Whereas the booking site says it is a 6 hours tour This is misleading.
A great introduction to a fascinating Mayan site and the bonus of a swim in a cenote afterwards! Tulum has one of the most beautiful settings of any of the ruins that I have seen over the years. Returning 32 years after my first visit I was very pleased to find it well looked after and not at all overcrowded. Our guide Gabriel and driver Francisco were so helpful and thoughtful, making sure everyone in the group was happy throughout the tour. Fresh jicama at the end of the Tulum visit was such a nice thing to be met with. Gabriel knows so much about the area, its history and ecology and we enjoyed talking to him about so many things that you wouldn't discover on bigger group tours. We were the only group at the cenote so could really enjoy a refreshing swim. The food from the little food cart was really good - we recommend the tacos al pastor! Thank you again to Gabriel and Francisco for a fantastic day out.
A wonderful day with all the details handled for you. Tulum was amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable. The Cenote was incredible, food and beverage onsite, what a great way to end the tour.
This trip is well organized and worthwhile. Mary was a great guide and well informed. Our time at Tulum was well paced. The swim at the Cenote was refreshing. Especially nice was that we had it almost all to ourselves. Nice sized group of 10. Good communication on pickup.
We really liked this tour, Tulum ruins were very good, it rained all day though, Mary was such a sport was able to give us a thorough history. Order the tour with lunch, tacos were amazing. Cenote was a privately owned, so take bug spray and spf. Umbrella is much it gets so hot. Only negative is wish they can take more money upfront for the extra taxes and get pesos so we didn’t have to go for money exchange. No plastic allowed, take a refillable water bottle.
This was a great way to tour the ruins and see a beautiful cenote. Price does not include tax and fees which amounts to $750 pesos per person. If you are on a budget bring your own lunch. The taco stand at the cenote was over priced ($15 USD for three tacos). Mary was a great tour guide and very knowledgable.
I had a great time on this Tulum day trip. Mary was our tour guide and she was very informative throughout the entire day. They picked us up right in front of our Airbnb in Cancún at 7 a.m., and even though we were the first of 13 pickups, everything stayed on schedule. After three pickup stops, we still made it to our first destination in Tulum by 10:21 a.m. We started at the archaeological site, which was beautiful, and then headed to Cenote Puerta Maya. The cenote was a relaxing way to cool off, and the chicken tacos and nachos there were honestly the best we’ve ever had. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable trip with a great guide and memorable stops. I’d definitely recommend it.
Excellent tour with Jackie and Jesus. Tulum was beautiful and Jackie gave us very informative explanations and kept the mood light even though it was so hot. Jesus was an excellent driver and made us feel safe on our drive from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. Would highly recommend this trip.
Had a great time on this tour with Mary and Jesus! We were a small group and it felt so luxurious and special. Pickup at our hotel was punctual, and the car was clean and with strong AC (greatly appreciated considering the temperatures during the day soared up to 35°C). The tour of the archeological site in Tulum was interesting, and provided great information both for those with no background and those with more prior knowledge. The sun was really scorching but Mary was able to find plenty of places with shade for us. We had the cenote to ourselves, and as we were such a small group, we had plenty of opportunities to get pictures and also just enjoy our surroundings without feeling crowded. The tour had no long stops in souvenir shops or any pressure to purchase from vendors, to the contrary the stops we made by shops were only to allow for bathroom breaks and to purchase something cold to drink. This was such a breath of fresh air for us, and meant that we spent the most time of the tour possible doing exactly what we had signed up for - viewing the ruins and enjoying the cenote. Strongly recommend this tour if you are interested in the archeological site of Tulum!
We had an absolutely amazing day in Tulum! We were picked up right on time at our hotel by our friendly driver Hugo and our wonderful guide Gabriel. At the archaeological park, Gabriel shared his incredible knowledge of Mayan culture and history with us. The ruins were fascinating, the views were stunning, and we even saw plenty of iguanas and a beautiful beach below. After exploring the ruins, we visited a breathtaking cenote where we swam in the crystal-clear water — such a refreshing and unforgettable experience! To finish off the day, we enjoyed some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. On the way back, we made a quick stop to see some beautiful spider monkeys — such a lovely surprise to end a perfect day! Everything was perfectly organized, and both Hugo and Gabriel made the experience truly special. We’re so happy we chose this tour — it was the highlight of our trip!
Mary was an awesome tour guide and very knowledgable about the Tulum ruins. Also the cenote is private for the party booked and the food is amazing!
She’s very informative and is a great energy to have for a tour. I recommend taking this tour because it’s worth it. Including the lunch was a great idea.
The service that was given by Viator and the guide was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The guide was very knowledgeable and Viator made it super easy to connect and provided all necessary accomodations. Will definitely be using them again!
I had a blast on this tour. I was solo celebrating my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better day. Our tour guide Jackie and driver Alberto was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the archeological site. Jackie really painted a vivid picture of what life was like for the Mayans during that time. She even took awesome pics for me as a solo traveler. Alberto was funny and a safe driver. We had a very small group as some passengers cancelled at the last minute. It made for an intimate experience that I will always remember. The icing on the cake is that I met a wonderful couple who celebrated my birthday with me and who I will never forget! I would definitely book with them again.
I highly recommend this company and the day trip to Tulum with the Cenote swim at Puerto Maya. The day we were scheduled to go was extremely rainy in the morning. Due to the rough weather they were a bit later than expected, which is totally understandable. I was contacted by both a company representative from the office and our tour guide Abbi, who gave me an accurate estimate of the expected arrival time at my resort. Once picked up Abbi was super friendly and very knowledgeable. It was still raining while we toured the Mayan ruins but that did not detract from our experience at all. After we left the ruins we stopped in Alkumal to visit the cenote and were able to purchase an excellent lunch from the taco/hamburger stand on site. I plan to book future trips with this company in the future and hope that Abbi is my guide again. Absolutely amazing experience!
The trip was as you would expect. Pickup from Cancun, comfortable bus with A/C and charging ports. Good and charming guide Mary along with nice driver Jesus that will always open the door for you. No tourist traps, no mandatory long stops at shops etc. Straight to the ruins, then to the private cenote that is way less crowded than the one most trips go after Chichen Itza. In fact there was only our group, which happened to be very small so we could even take photos with only us on the side. The company responded right away on my question I've sent via tripadvisor on the Sunday evening.
The TripAdvisor advertisement stated $59 per person (all taxes incl). I received a text the day before stating there was a $40/pp addl fee for Mexican taxes and fees. Stated pesos or cash. The morning of the trip I get a WhatsApp msg stating only pesos. I scrambled trying to find an exchange station at 6:50 am to only be told, after learning the arrival time was 39 min later, that I could use cash. I know the cash option was valid because several other people paid in cash and were not told differently. The ruins were ok but the cenote was more of a family property. We had to buy the food from family members who set up an area. Just not worth $100 per person.
I booked a tour for 7 people on 31 AUG 2025 at 10am. We didn't catch this at the time, but my sister said the tour guide was rushing us to get us out of the Jaguar Park early to avoid a local demonstration. It turns out the locals were protesting and blocked up the park entrance/exit and we couldn't leave with our rental car. The guide knew this and took us anyway. We were trapped at the park until around 4pm when the park finally let us drive through the park to get onto roads the back way. We never even got to go to the cenote. The tour guide also asked for $40 cash each for taxes and then didn't want to give us a receipt. I don't recall that being stated when I booked this tour. Aside from being held hostage all day, the tour itself was uninformative at best, and then we didn't even get to go to the cenote but no refund was given for the "taxes" we had to pay for this tour.
