Quirky but good. Very good for capable and mature folks. Beats traveling with a huge bus full of other people. It was exactly as described. A bit of history with the archaeological site, cave is really cool, food is serviceable.

My favorite part of our honeymoon. Our guide, Ro, and Driver, Davey, were the best! Very fun, outgoing and professional. The caves were so cool! A very unique experience!! It’s a must do! You would be lucky to get these two as your guides.
My husband and I loved every tour we did in Mexico and would do them all twice over. Shout-out to Gregorio and Ulysses for carting us around on this unforgettable day. Gregorio, our main guide, had to take a couple of stops on the way to the main archeological site, but he was adept at turning these quick breathers into bite-sized lessons about the area’s history. He was really knowledgeable and kind. I loved his lesson on the fertility temple, and the in-depth explanation about the cultural progression of the Mayan people leading up to their introduction to the Toltecs. Chichen-ha is a great area to visit natural cenotes, and Henry was a delightful cave guide. He was thoughtful enough to offer to carry my Tevas on his life jacket in case my arthritis flared and I couldn’t walk in the swim shoes. It ended up not being necessary, but his kindness was certainly appreciated. The cave is remarkably well-lit, and the park itself is beautiful. The food at the on-site restaurant, Lol-Ha was also so, so good!
Our day trip was the highlight of our time in the Yucatan Peninsula. Rodolfo and Jerry Garcia picked us up at our hotel at exactly 7am and we drove down to Tulum. The ride itself was quiet, as it was early in the morning, but Jerry came alive when we got to Tulum. He has forty years of experience taking people on tours throughout Mexico and he was so knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about the Maya people, and saw amazing ruins at the site. Jerry was patient as we got something to drink and used the bathroom before heading to the Pet Cemetary cenote. Jerry knows everyone and he made sure the group waited for us to get changed at the cenote. Our lunch at a little restaurant in Akumal was fantastic, and Jerry was happy to let us walk around and take photos after lunch. Afterwards Rodolfo drove us back to the hotel. All told we were gone for about 8-9 hours and had such a delightful time.
This was a three stop tour. We went to Tulum, Cenote Sueno, the we snorkeled. After the three stops we stopped for lunch. Our guide, Damian was just the greatest, he is just a great human being, fun to be around and he took excellent care of all of us. Damian was well versed in the history of this part of Mexico and took time for detailed explanations that were informative and funny. This tour was the best part of our Cancun adventure!
Tulum and the Cenote were great and the guide Ricardo was fabulous. But when we got back several people noticed money missing from our wallets that we left on the private transportation with the driver, about 60 per person.
We had an amazing time on this full day tour. The driver Omar and the guide for the day Gregorio were punctual, pleasant and informative. The drive to Tulum took about 90 minutes (from the Marriott Resort) and Gregoria gave us a history lesson along the way. We got to Tulum around 8:30 and through the entrance by 9. Definitely glad we went early because it was crazy busy by the time we left at 11! Tulum itself was beautiful and interesting and Gregario did spend time with us explaining the history and architecture before letting us roam around ourselves. We left Tulum and headed half an hour back north to Kantun Chi. This is we’re things really got amazing. Gregario and Omar checked us in and handed us off the the staff there. We were a little confused as to the process but it was soooo incredible and worth it. We were assigned Henry as our guide and we’re so lucky to have him. He was awesome with everyone including the kids and less athletic folks. The package we had included diving through the underground cenotes, swimming in above ground cenotes and lunch. I did not expect to be able actually swim through the underground cenotes in the cave system ! But the kids were thrilled and it was so fascinating. Henry did a great job of keeping everyone safe while providing history and geography lessons! They do supply shoes, life jackets, helmets and googles. (If your kiddo wear’s prescription glasses you may want to bring prescription googles or ones that seal over their glasses) After coming out of the caves we walked to an amazing private above ground cenotes where we jumped in, swam, snorkeled and kayaked. Amazing pictures! Also definitely bring a fry bag if you want to bring your phone for pictures- there’s no way to keep it dry in the caves). After swimming we walked back towards the main facility and looked at wildlife and other public cenotes. Henry was a great tour guide. We got back and changed and then Henry walked us to the restaurant and we had what may have been the best food of our trip! We had really just expected some snacks but the fish tacos, fish filet and pork filet were amazing, perfectly prepared. There was also pineapple water, chicken appetizers and banana ice cream. The kids had cheese quesadillas and fries which they inhaled. Service was fun and relaxing. Around 4:30 Omar and Gregorio picked us up for the return trip. All I. All this was the best adventure we have ever done in Cancun. Absolutely recommend it, especially kantun chi!
We had great experience with our driver Alfanso and then our tour guide at Cave adventure named soul. Cave adventure and Cenote were top of the world
Let’s start with Alberto our guide he was great from start to finish. Educated us about the Mayan culture and ruins in a way that wasn’t boring. He made both my husband and I feel very safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Our driver Carlos was funny, respectful and super chill. He drove safely and got us to where we needed to be in a timely manner. At the cenotes our guide was Angel and he truly was just that- an angel- also educating us on Mayan culture. Had fun seeing all the cenotes and doing a cave tour as well 10/10 Recommend. Now onto the food… it was magnificent, truly! Also a 10/10! Highly recommend this private tour. Thank you all for making this trip even more memorable!
My husband and I chose the excursion with the Tulum ruins, cenote (cave) swim and snorkeling in the lagoon. Chang was our tour guide and Fernando our driver. Chang made the experience so awesome!! He was very knowledgeable with the Mayan history and had such a pleasant personality, interacting with all of us, the whole tour was fun and exciting. The ruins were beautiful and swimming in the cenote was incredible! It was our first time snorkling, and Chang was so patient with us and took his time to teach us. If Chang is leading any other tours, we would definitely love to book with him! Cancun Adventures is a great company to use!!
Freddy was an amazing tour guide. He has a great personality and very informative. This adventure was worth every penny. The lunch at the end of the trip was delicious! Whoop Whoop
Very beautiful but WAY over priced, even the basic package is ridiculously pricey. I can say Merida offers way better ones for $50 - 80pesos but certainly Yucatan Cenotes are not for all the normal tourist so I suggest stick to what Tulum has to offer.
We booked this excursion during our vacation to the Riviera Maya, and it was by far the BEST part of our trip!! Our guide was Victor (Vicman), and he was incredible!! So kind, fun, and knowledgeable. He guided us through the Tulum ruins, ensured we knew the best places to shop, took us swimming in a Cenote and snorkling in the most beautiful lagoon. Lunch was provided and was some of the best during our entire weeklong trip. I highly recommend this tour, and Vicman as a guide!!
We took the Tulum, cenote, and Yalku snorkel trip with a guide for a small group (10 people) and it was excellent. Guide was very knowledgeable and efficient. We had a guided tour of Tulum then we swam in a fresh water underground cave pool called a cenote then we went snorkeling in a lagoon with many beautiful fish. I highly recommend.
Lalo and Sexy George were the best tour guides we ever had. Lalo's knowledge and pride in the Mayan culture was outstanding! Tulum was great to see and the cenotes were pretty damn cool!
We used Cancun Adventures for our tour great service tour guide Freddy amazing, very informative and catered to our tour groups needs. We had a 2 yr old with us and we were able to enjoy the tour, with a few adjustments for cave swim and snorkeling to accommodate the 2 yr old.
Loved the cenotes and underground excursion, an amazing experience I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure.
We did Tulum, cenotes and snorkeling. We spent a whole day and to conclude our adventures we went to a private beach club for lunch and drinks. Alex our guide was so knowledgeable and accommodating, I highly recommend him!
What an amazing experience! The ruins are beautiful but we did not expect to be blown away by the cenote adventure. The underground river tour was surprisingly fun. So great for kids. Shout out to our guides- who were great. Alberto and Alfredo were very nice and knowledgeable. Henry at the cenote tour was an excellent guide through the Mayan underworld.
A paradise on earth! We were in a group of 11 from 11 to 75 years old. Benjie, our tour guide helped everyone feel comfortable in the caves and the cenotes. He was very informative and courteous.
We should have anticipated this tour not going well from the onset. When we first read the description and saw the photos, we thought this could be good for the price it showed of $140 pp. Then we get hit with the rage change to $220pp. After lots of searching for another last min private tour, as opted to go with this one. For $220 per person for a “private tour” you expect first class service and attention. On the plus side they did pick us up in a clean van with proper a/c and a cooler with drinks. The driver was professional and the guide began his tour while we were on our way to our first stop. However, we arrived at the archeological site and we had to walk about 400 meters in the rain and covered with mosquitoes (although we were provided with two umbrellas that had to be shared) while the other tourists were bussed to the park. When we asked why we weren’t on the bus the guide stated that it was extra and it was only 400 meters. Not exactly the response I was looking for. The rest of the tour felt rushed with the guide barely speaking and barely accompanying us. His performance paled in comparison to the guides for the big groups which we observed. Having been on many tours, both with large groups as well as private, we were sorely disappointed. They then took us to the next and last stop which was a dive in a semi submerged cenote. The actual dive was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed it but unfortunately the guide who accompanied us into the caves was a gentleman who was located at the actual site. We also had to pay for a wet suit and snorkeling masks as they were not included. We felt like the guide basically dumped us at the site. Didn’t accompany us, didn’t make any suggestions, barely spoke to us — just disengaged. I opted to skip out on the lunch and just get back to our hotel to get the tour over with as quickly as possible. So in sum, it was an ok tour but for the price and the fact that It was a “private tour” it was underwhelming and overpriced. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
My husband and I selected the trip to the Mayan ruins at Tulum, snorkeling at a fish nursery reef in a private gated community, snorkeling in an underground cenote, and we finished with lunch buffet on a private beach. We left for our trip at 7am and got back to the resort at about 5pm. Our guide was Armando. He was amazing and very passionate about the culture. Armando was the best tour guide I have ever had. He gave us a ton of great information on the history. He was very smart, funny, and welcoming to all. Mateo was our driver and he did an excellent safe job! These two took great care of our 10 person group. They kept us on time and comfortable throughout our entire trip. The transportation to and from our hotel was top notch and very timely. We booked the trip at our hotel secrets vine. This trip was the best part of our week long vacation. We did two other side excursions, but this was by far the best!! Highly recommend this company and this trip!
Our tour guide Oscar & driver Juan were fantastic! Oscar was very knowledgeable & friendly. Highly recommend!
This tour was very enjoyable! Our tour guide, Alberto made great use of the drive to Tulum and gave us information about the culture, religion and geography during the Mayan periods. Alberto and Benjamin (the driver) provided us cold drinks and snacks to make sure that we were hydrated and comfortable. During our tour of Tulum we had plenty of free time to take pictures and then meet up and resume the tour. You do have the option to dip your toes in the ocean near the cliff but the beach there is pretty small. The cave and cenote adventure was highly enjoyable and informative. The ecopark provided us with life vests, water shoes, snorkel gear, and anti-mosquito lotion. We didn’t end up eating lunch until about 3 pm so we probably should have brought more filling snacks. The restaurant had delicious grilled foods and homemade tortillas. Make sure to bring your own swim suit, towel, flip flops and lots of sunscreen.
Just back from the tour of Tulum and the walk/swim through the underground river/ Cenote followed by lunch at a private beach. Oscar was the guide and Sergio our driver. They were happy enthusiastic people , professional , knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour company and these guys. I have been on 3 other tours this vacation and this was hands down the best. They communicate well, you know where and what you’re doing and they keep you well watered including tequila and chocolate tasting!! The lunch at the private beach was really tasty. The beach stunning.
My only complaint was Tulum and the limitations they have now on where you can go in the park. Tulum is beautiful and worth going to at least once. The cave tour was really the highlight. Our kids loved going through the caves and swimming in the cenotes.
This was a great tour. Spent the morning at the Tulum ruins. Then they took us into the jungle to an entrance to an underground river where we walked in the river with our guide for about an hour. After the underground river tour they took us to a private beach club and served us a wonderful lunch.
Sully was so great it made us buy into his passion for mayan culture. He had knowledge and he was super friendly. The driver Sergio provided snacks and cold water. Also after the hot walk through the ruins at tulum he offered us chilled towels. My husband and i could not have been happier with this experience. The cenote was so mind blowing beautiful, i was in awe. Snorkeling was fun and we got to see plenty of fish. The lunch at the beach club had variety and we really really loved the siesta area that this beach club had.
July 13, 2018. What an awesome day. My husband and I along with my sister and her husband took this private tour. Our driver Benjamin and tour guide Tacho Cante C. were the perfect pair for us. They arrived promptly at our hotel for pick up. Benjamin was a safe driver in an extremely clean and well maintained vehicle, who had a cooler full of really cold water, cokes and beer! On the way to Tulum (our first stop) Tacho was eager to talk about his Mayan culture and heritage. He was articulate, interesting, and informative. He obviously had done a lot of research on Tulum as well he shared his family history to prepare us for the tour of Tulum. The tour would not have been the same without him. From Tulum we were off to the cenotes! Our guide at the cenotes was the best. He made sure that safety was first and took us into the caves to show us an amazing world! After the trip to the cenotes, Benjamin and Tacho took us to Akuna for a wonderful lunch of fajitas and ice cold beer! I highly recommend taking the private tours. It cost a little more, but it really pays off with the attention and service that Cancun Adventure Day Tours and their wonderful support personnel, Benjamin and Tacho provided. The best part: since there was only 4 of us on the tour it was intimate and well worth every penny. The worst part: The mosquitos at the cenote ate up my sister and I. Unfortunately, you can not have bug spray on prior to getting into the caves, but I definitely recommend applying it once you get out.
We had a great time on our Tulum adventure. Sully our guide was amazing. He provided so much information when at Tulum. He was extra helpful when we snorkeled as our daughter was struggling and he was able to help and lead her around so mom and dad and brother could enjoy the moment as well. The Cenotes were amazing and clearly Sully was passionate about being in them. It all ends with a great all you can eat buffet lunch on a beautiful beach. One thing to be aware of, it is noted as a 6.5 hour tour, but with driving two and from Cancun hotel zone it was over 10.5. It was not a huge thing for us, but you should be aware of the time commitment. Gracias Sully for being such a great host!
My family took the Tulum and Cenote cave tour on June 26th. Our guide was Said, he was informative and fun. Our driver Mateo made sure our transport was quick, but safe. Plenty of time to enjoy the ruins and shopping and really enjoyed the cave walk through the Cenote. After our excursions, they took us to the company's private beach club for an authentic lunch on the beach. Great value as well. Glad we chose Cancun Adventures!
It was a good time. First we went to a Lagoon to Snorkel. It was fun, but I wish the water was more clear. There is nothing they could do about that though. The water was extra salty there. We then went to this Cavern and Snorkeled. After this, I was really sleepy. We ate some really good food at the Cavern Restaurant. I'll NEVER forget how good that food was. We then went to an Ocean Outlet Snorkeled, and Ziplined into the water. The excursion was the through Mayan adventures tours. We had a good time. We were tired when we got back to the resort so we relaxed, then got up and went to the pool again (our hangout).
Victor and Enu(?) were wonderful guides through the ruins, wonder safe drivers! Luis was our guide through the underground river and he was great as well. The people make this trip what it was. The sights were amazing, Mexico has a wonderful rich history that I feel like we shared in. Our guides were knowledgeable and welcoming. Thank you!
This was a good tour for the most part. The guide was knowledgeable and moved along at a steady pace while still providing time to take photos and look around. The shopping area around Tulum is a bit sketchy. Ask about prices on EVERYTHING first. 2 things I would like to point out. If I went again I would go with a group that all speaks the same language. Our group was mixed English and French. Our guide often veered off into French and never finished what he was saying in English it felt like. Second is the cave/cenote we visited is dark. The lights on your helmet don’t do much. Each couple would be best suited being given a flash light as well.
We did the Tulum ruins half-day. I don't do lengthy bimbling tours, I like to get there, get in, see and absorb the good and important stuff, and get out. Hanging around once I've seen it is an underrated negative, especially if we have a great hotel to go back to. This is a Tulum ruins hit for those without patience. As such It was bang on. It seems most of these tours involve around 10 people cramming in a Hiace minibus. And I mean crammed, especially when some of the party are clearly exponents of the all-you-can-eat buffet principle. I'm not biggist, but you need to be aware that Tulum visits from Playa del Carmen area involved 50 minutes in not too much space; it's neither particularly comfortable nor in any way exclusive. Driver couldn't decide whether his cruising speed was 60kph or 140kph, and seemed oblivious to any sort of lane discipline. Mobile phone usage at the wheel was a tad concerning. But it does the job. Even though we were there by 845am, it was still busy, and very warm. I really felt for the people who were arriving as we left at 1130am - it would have been extremely busy, and heading for 30 degrees C. Guides met us off the minibus. We were grouped according to language, and that bit was inevitably chaotic. But they nailed it. Fifteen minute walk to the ruins entrance, with the guide stopping and pointing out some genuinely interesting stuff about plants, trees and wildlife that we would have otherwise walked right past. Ruins were an eye-opener. View them as piles of stones, walls and semi-fallen-down buildings and you miss the point. This was about the lifestyle, culture and mysteries - for instance, much of Mayan history was lost through fires set by Christian invaders. What the Mayans achieved was incredible. Amazing architects, engineers and astronomers. Tour guide was brilliant. Just right. Then we had 45 minutes to do our thing - go back to one or two particularly interesting bits, walk to the clifftops, down to the cove and beach. My, what a location the Mayans chose. Back for lunch in Playacar by 1pm, enriched.
We did the Tulum, snorkeling, then Cenote tour and it was so amazing! Our tour guide Lilia was very knowledgeable and fun to be around; she gets five-stars for sure.
We had an amazing time it was wonderful seeing to Tulum ruins and the water caverns were amazing we really enjoyed it. The guide was completely knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommend it

This was a great tour but be sure to read all the information included in the description. However, one thing the info wasn't true for us. It says please bring towels and a swimsuit if you would like to go to the beach in Tulum. We never went near the beach but you do need a swimsuit and towel and water shoes for the Cave and xinotes if you want to go to them. They give you a helmet, masks and shoes for the caves but you need to give the shoes back. We didn't bring these items because we aren't beach people, but we did want to go in the caves. You need one for that so our guide let us make a hasty trip into the gift shop to purchase them. If you want to take photos, you need a waterproof camera. It's a great tour with special attention. We love having private guided tours. If you haven't been to the other ruins in the Yucatan, it is a good overview of the Mayan culture. You can't wear insect repellent, and when we were walking to the xenotes, we were eaten up so be prepared.

Absolutely FANTASTIC our transport our guide was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
I would recommend this to anyone from solos to family with young kids to grandparents.

Rough start, but great trip! We booked our excursion 2 weeks before our trip and were told 9AM pickup at our hotel. The organized morning we were walking to lobby for pickup on time and my boyfriend checked his email - he found a newer email from the **day before** explaining a change to 6:30 AM pickup, which we had missed because we we only got up for the 9AM. We had already arrived and had the plan set, so he wasnt checking his email. We had to reorganize, luckily they accomodated us to reschedule, but that was a little weak. Pickup was early but stress-free, the car ride took a while but we went to Tulum and were given a tour of the ruins. Tour by Diego was great! I learned a lot. :) The cenotes were cold, but awesome! Better trip for adults as the stalagmites and tites were a bit spooky! I could also see the long car ride getting sensitive persons a bit sickly. Would use Cancun Adventures again in a heartbeat. PS Diego is a handsome man!

Amazing day, loved it. Take flip-flops as some walking to Ceynotes involved and waterproof cover for phone or waterproof camera needed. Lifejackets and helmets and footwear given for the underground river and caves and no need to be an amazing swimmer.

My husband and I had a blast. This was the best birthday gift I gave my husband. Our guide Alejandro was so nice and knowledgeable we learned so much. And the cave tour was so awesome, Miguel was great.

Amazing! But not for unfit people! Or small children! If u are afraid of small spaces ! But all those who are into adventure and fit for climbing over rocks and in caves I highly recommend it!!!!

We had a group of 8 adults. Our driver and guide arrived on time at the designated location amazing for Mexico. We headed to Tulum to beat the crowd. We did. It was great. Our guide was very well versed in Mayan culture and provided a detailed tour of the area. We were well informed and our guide was very patient with us. After some free time, we headed to the Cave Adventure at KanTun Chi Park. It was incredible. After donning special shoes, swimsuits, life jackets and helmets, we headed out to explore the underground river. After an hour, we emerged and visited the 5 cenotes on site. Each one was different and more beautiful than the last. For some reason, our included lunch at the park was closed so our guide took us to a little restaurant in Akumal. The fresh fish was great think it was caught that morning. On our way back to the resort, we asked if we could stop at a grocery store. The response? Sure. Take as long as you need. It was great. We really feel we got great exposure to the Mayan culture. The tour was amazing. Everything was as promised or better. Viator and it's partners never disappoint!

We were picked up by our driver Gamaliel Garcia and our English speaking tour guide Sergio Lopez. What fantastic kind people. Sergio really new his history and we had a really informative day. The party was mixed with the youngest aged 14 and the eldest 78 and yet he catered for all our needs. Gamaliel then drove us to the caves which were also really fun. My girls wanted to stay longer and at no point were we rushed or asked to hurry up. If you get a chance try this tour and ask for these to guys. They certainly made our day.

Beautiful caves, there is a part where you have to swim so don't be fooled into thinking you can walk through the entire thing. I can't swim and though I had a life jacket that helps you float across, I kind of freaked out a bit and almost lost it. The guide saved me. Not anyone's fault at all but mine. Probably wasn't the best tour for me but I had a good time. Learned a lot of history at the Tulum tour and enjoyed the lunch very much.

We made the private excursion to Tulum, then snorkeled in a cove and finally snorkeled in a cave. The treatment of the guide (Gabriela) was excellent and the quality of the excursion too. Especially the final part, the snorkeling in the cave. Really awesome.
