Our driver Antonio and guide Rodrigo were fantastic. Rodrigo is extremely knowledgeable and gives a unique account of the ruins, factoring in his own Mayan heritage as well.

Great experience, highly recommend Antonio and Rodrigo!
Ramiro and the entire crew made for an incredible and memorable experience. We loved spending time at both archeological sites, the lunch was delicious, and swimming in the ancient cenote was something not to be missed.
This tour was excellent, and Beto was an amazing tour guide! Our favourite parts were exploring the Coba ruins and swimming in the cenote. We’ve done both this tour and the Chichén Itzá tour, and thoroughly enjoyed both. However, we preferred this one as it was quieter and the cenote was even more impressive. Highly recommend!
We cannot say enough good things about Beto! He was an awesome tour guide, incredibly funny, kept the tour going perfectly, and had lots of interesting stories and history for us! This tour was a bucket list item for us and we are beyond happy with the memories we get to take home!
The entire day was amazing with our guide Beto and driver Jesus. Pickup was simple, driving was great and Beto made it fun with a lot of historical facts, that were even interesting to the teenagers in the group. Beto’s knowledge of the area and even other culturally significant facts were off the charts. We went in mid October 2026, and there were no lines and it was a very relaxed pace. Tulum, Coba, and Nohoch Cenote were amazing and each site seemed to be better than the next. The people supporting these sites were very friendly, and went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. Fees were well communicated in advance, and while it wasn’t cheap, it was totally worth it. My group can’t stop talking about the experience, and that we’d do it again. Highly recommend booking this experience
Our guide Frank and driver Hose were really nice and the tour was really organized. Best tour we had. Historic places may not sound like the best place for kids but they made it so entertaining for the kids and our 7 and 9 year olds LOVED it. We cannot thank Frank and Hose enough. Thank you Amigo tours for having a great team!!
Great experience overall! The guides were very helpful, kind and very knowledgeable! All the stops were excellent - would recommend to anyone visiting!
Pastor and Jose were fantastic and took great care of us! The tour was very informative, fun, and exciting! Our favorite experience was the cave exploration
Pickup at 6:55 at Smart Oasis. Hop on the first bus and transfer to the second bus at the Crown Paradise after checking we all paid the foreign tax for archeological site. Then the bus picked up at multiple locations in town and took over an hour to leave the down. Suggest to arrange a smaller van to pick up all people and then make the transfer. Josue was our tour guide. He has the passion of showing us Mayan culture from his own. Tulum - Have to wait about 1/2 hr to get all tickets. Visit is a bit short. Wish to have tickets ready when arrive so can spend more time. Site is one of must-see places Cobra - A bit hiking and then climbing up the pyramid. Georgeous view at the top. Guide explained along the hike Lunch - Buffet lunch and Mayan celemony Cenote Ruina - Only accessible for the tour group. Swimming in one of the georgeous cenotes Playa Carmen - arrived at 8pm.Make short 30min stop at 5ave. Wish we can arrive early and enjoy the sunset. Was a very long day trip. I started my day out at 6:30am and returned almost at 10pm. With only 4days in Cancun, I would still recommend this your for any one in a short trip
Visiting Tulum early in the morning - excellent idea, less people and no heat. Then Coba: great, just 20 more minutes there would have been better The cenote: it is an amazingly beautiful cenote, we loved it there The downsides: the van is undersized for that many hours of driving... no leg space; the lunch period is really late and the departure really early so get your snacks ready for the trip; guides are bilingual but seriously you can't expect people to understand when speaking 1 word of each instead of full sentences one language after the other..
This was a very nice trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and really kept the bus trip interesting. The bus was very comfortable. The highlight was certainly the cenote. We were the only ones there, so there was plenty of room to swim around and enjoy the cool water. The lunch was fine, and the time spent at both Tulum and Coba was a bit short, but we had sufficient time to see all the main highlights. I would recommend this tour - Ray was our tour guide.
Jorge was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and helped us loads! One of the best! The trip was unbelievable! Climbing the pyramid at coba was the best! We had just enough time at all the places! The group was good and great atmosphere! And was just the right amount of people!
Take an excursion today from Cancun. We were gone a total of 12.5 hours which is a really long day, but it took time to drive to Tulum and then to Coba. Paul is it great to guide. Juan was our driver. All the stops were beautiful and well worth it. Lunch was delicious and a simple buffet.
Although a long day of approximately 16 hours, the experience and tour guide were well worth it! Comfortable bus with water, soft drinks and beer included at each stop. Knowledgeable tour guide Alejandro that took the time to give historical answers to all our questions. Tulum and Coba were Mayan ruins in two very different locations on windy coast and inner forest. The ability to walk up the steps of Coba was a-mazing! Local linch and Mayan blessing was a lovely addition for the day. The cenoté was very relaxing and refreshing in the beauty of being totally underground and only our tour at the location. The stop in Playa del Carmen was a bit too peopley for me but was a short stop and the sorbet was yummy. Highly recommend the tour and to bring supper snacks in your day bag.
Thoroughly enjoyed day. Guide was good and we did a lot. Was a little rushed at Coba for those walking around but we used tricycle and saw all we wanted. Loved the swim in the cenote and cave.
Wow that was one of the best day trips I have ever had. Our guide Rodigo was amazing and really took time to explain the history, culture and customs of the Mayans. Also swimming in the Cenote and going through the caves was like having our own private Cenote as we were a small group of 10 people amd nobosy else was there. I highly recommend this trip.
Another long day with long chunks of time in a van. Tulum was okay. I think we expected a little bit more, but the ruins were still pretty. The view of the ocean/coast was very beautiful, and the ruins were crawling with iguanas and reptiles (literally had to step over a few that were blocking the path). Marcela was a very high energy, fun guide, but it was difficult to hear her at some points of the tour. I appreciated that she always gave us the allotted time to explore on our own so we never felt rushed or like our time was being cut short. Coba was incredible. I highly, highly recommend renting a bike (or a trike if you’d rather be carted around). You will not get to see everything unless you do. They recently added new wooden steps to the ruin of Coba, and we were allowed to climb up to the top in groups of 20 max. The steps were uneven and far apart, which made the climb a little difficult for someone on the shorter side, but again the views were worth it. We also biked to the other side of the site, which was very secluded, but very worth it. We saw monkeys swinging through the trees, multiple ocellated turkeys, and even more iguanas. We were quite hungry at that point so we bought some ice cream and enjoyed a fresh coconut. The buffet was good, and we were able to eat before we went to the cenote, which I appreciated. The cenote was INCREDIBLE. We got to explore some caves, saw so many stalagmites and stalactites, and got to see lots of cute little bats on the cave ceiling! The water was refreshing after a long day outside biking and climbing and walking. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, swimsuit, water shoes for the cenote, water/water bottle, sunscreen, sun protection, and cash for tips/souvenirs. A long day but overall another great way to knock out a lot of things in one day.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience with Amigo Tours was incredibly disappointing. Save your money and book with someone else. Here is why: • Massive Time Waste: We spent 3 hours just picking up other passengers. The actual tour didn’t start until 10:00 AM, wasting the best part of the day. • Rushed Itinerary: We were only at Tulum for 40 minutes total. The guide spoke for 10 minutes, leaving us with a pathetic 15 minutes of free time. You can’t see anything in that timeframe. • Dishonest Pricing: Despite the booking stating life jackets were included, the guide refused to honor it and demanded extra payment with a very arrogant attitude. • Hidden Fees & Tech Issues: They sent the link for site fees the night before the tour, but it didn't work. I had to chase them on WhatsApp to get a functional link, only to find a hidden $3 USD fee per person. • Poor Value: This tour is more expensive than competitors, yet the service is inferior. Between the "hidden" costs and the massive time cost of sitting in a van, it is absolutely not worth it.
Long day being the first to be picked up, and the guide showing up 15 minutes late. The sites were interesting, but having signed up for a tour in English, the bilingual experience was tough to follow. Also, the "tastings" ended up being "a tasting" at our first stop, which consisted of one cacao bean. Our excursion the previous year was entirely in English, and the guide was far more knowledgeable than this one about the sites we visited. (The reason we chose Amigo a second time) Nice guy, but needs more practice in his language skills and history.
Frank and Raciel were excellent guides on this tour. The cenote swim was definitely the highlight of the trip and something I will not forget.
This was SO worth the money and time. Both Tulum and Coba were amazing (make sure you bring $5 for each person for the bikes at Coba!), our guide Juam (yes, I spelled that correctly) and our driver Eric were amazing. We felt safe and taken care of the whole time, the cenote was beyond belief, and the lunch buffet was the food we've been missing our whole trip down here. You can rent a locker ($3 at the time) at the cenote, but we did not. The chocolate and tequila tastings were also quite good. Also so many iguanas! Just don't be like us and forget cash. Tips are important, and not just for the tour guide and driver! We had 10 people in our car and we became friends with everyone!
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Itinerary, Poor Organisation, and Missing Paid Activities We booked the “Tulum & Coba with Cenote, Cave Exploration, Lunch & Tastings” tour expecting a well-organised experience similar to our previous excellent day with Amigo Tours. Unfortunately, this tour turned out to be extremely disappointing and felt very misleading. Firstly, the confirmed hotel pickup time was changed from 05:00 to 07:20, and even then the bus arrived around 15 minutes late. After only a few minutes we were told to change buses and were taken to a jet ski centre where there was no clear communication. The guide spoke almost entirely in Spanish, with only fragmented English explanations, leaving many of us confused about what was happening. We waited nearly an hour for another bus and only left Cancun just before 09:00 — a time when we should already have been in Tulum according to the original schedule. Because of these delays, the time at both archaeological sites was drastically reduced. We had barely an hour in Tulum and even less time in Coba, which felt rushed and disappointing considering this was the main reason we booked the tour. The chocolate and tequila tastings included in the package never happened. No one informed us that they were cancelled, and we waited until the last moment expecting them to take place. Lunch was at a remote location — the buffet food itself was simple but enjoyable — however, afterwards we were unexpectedly subjected to a so-called “saman ceremony”. During this, the guide suddenly presented himself as a healer and began massaging another passenger in front of the group, which felt extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were then taken individually into a room and strongly pressured to purchase expensive ornaments costing over £100, which felt like a sales trap rather than part of a cultural experience. The most serious issue was the cenote visit. We paid specifically for Cenote Nohoc and the guided cave swimming experience, including lockers and life vest rental. Instead, we were taken to a completely different free cenote location. There were no lockers available, and we were asked to pay again for life vests despite them being included in the booking. After an already exhausting 12-hour day, we were forced into an additional stop in Playa del Carmen for nightlife. While the location itself was nice, by that point most of us simply wanted to return to our hotels — especially since the tastings we had paid for were skipped earlier. Finally, although the tour was advertised as operated by Amigo Tours (who delivered a fantastic experience for us the day before), this tour was actually subcontracted to BK Mayam, and the difference in organisation and professionalism was extremely noticeable. Overall, this experience felt disorganised, misleading, and far below expectations. Several paid elements were not delivered, the itinerary was significantly altered without clear communication, and parts of the day felt more like a high-pressure sales event than a cultural tour. We would not recommend this specific tour in its current form and hope the company reviews its subcontracting standards and customer communication moving forward.
Absolutely a great time! Starting in Tulum, where we were staying, we didn't get to experience any tastings, though I think if we included time in Playa de Carmen we might have.
I have traveled a lot and done a lot of excursions and this was by far the best. Our guide was extremely knowledgable, fun, and empathetic to my fear of heights - but I conquered that!!! I especially like the cenote and special lunch. I would recommend packing protein bars or snacks as it is a long day and the climbing of Hoba will take it out of you. Highly highly recommend this excursion. It’s the best!!
The bus seats are extremely uncomfortable. The tour was awesome! Manuel The Guide was very informative. Other than the bus being uncomfortable, the tour was worth the money I spent
Fun, but long day, given the fact that we were the first pickup at 0430. Both sites were interesting, and the cenote was beautiful.
Amigos are the best. Friendly and very knowledgeable. They make these experience very convenient because they all the work and driving and you just enjoy yourself. Everything is set up for you to have a great time and it seems like they really enjoy their job which makes the tour even better because you see their passion when they tell you the history about these magical places.
Rodrigo has been my tour guide twice and he is the greatest. Makes it fun is very knowledgeable about its history. And the places we visit are just mesmerizing. The best thing about all this is that’s not expensive at all. You get picked at your hotel if it’s available and you can just relax and sleep while you get driven around to all these places. It is a lengthy tour but that’s because none of these places are closed by.
Truly enjoyed Tulum and Coba. Tour guide was very good-knowledgeable and very nice. The morning was a little chaotic picking up all participants from different areas. We spent lots of time on bus. But the ruins were worth it.
Great experience overall. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. My wife was a little scared to swim in the cenote at first, but the guide was extremely helpful and stayed with her during the swim, which helped her complete the tour inside the cenote. We really enjoyed it!
This tour includes a few sites and was well paced. The seaside views at the Tulum ruins are beautiful and Coba has a remarkable Mayan pyramid which we were able to climb. At the last site, a Cenote, we were able to explore within a cave system with a guide. Our guide, Pastor, was knowledgeable and helpful to the group's needs. Overall, a good full day.
I had a wonderful day touring Tulum, Coba and a cenote. Our guide Bastarde and driver Salvador were wonderful. The day was long but well paces, our vehicle was comfortable and Bastarde told us lots of interesting information about the Mayan culture. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that is interested in the Mayan Culture.
We had a great day touring Tulum, Coba and cenote Nohoch Na Chich with Pastor and Salvadore. Tulum was perfect in the early morning as the sun rose over the ocean. Maybe bring a sweater... slight regrets i didnt brag one for the morning. Things to keep on mind: eat breakfast before getting picked up (it's an early pick up), bring snacks and a reusable water bottle with water, flip-flops and a towel for the cenote, and a water bag for your phone if you want to take pictures or videos while swimming through the cenote. Lunch is at the end of all the touring but it was delicious mexican fare. Pastor likes story telling and his midwife reenactment was a 10/10 😉 . Rent bicycles in Coba as it is so fun to bike through the ruins, only 10$ usd for 2 people. We were last to get picked up and first to get dropped off, but if you're closer to Cancun expect to spend more time driving on the bus. Hopefully you get Pastor to keep you entertained. 😀
The tour company we used was called “Mayan Point” in Playa del Carmen and located at the corner of 5 th and Caille 38 (I think) opposite side to Ah Cacoa (small booth in front of a tiny store front). It provided all of the same from the nearest big place but all inclusive with no hidden cost. Pick up on time Transportation Entry into Tulum A caring Mayan guide, Xavier ( who took special care of my husband who uses a cane and walks slowly) Buffet lunch Mayan ceremony Entry to Cobá Entry into a canote Return to out r door. What a great day- and at 75 and 77, we ere definitely the eldest of the 12 in the group.
SOOO COOL! We had Fernando and Pastor was our guide - he took us into the first stop Tulum in the morning as the sun was just coming in so there was a golden halo all around the ruins and it was breathtaking. Second stop Coba was totally different, in the jungle, and you bike in through till the ruins, another amazing experience. Pastor explains history and culture with the funniest expressions and acting. At the last stop, there's a scuba diver guide to take you through the Cenote and the food was tastyyyyy. Tips - its a long day trip so bring plenty of snacks, water, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Good tour. Good guide provided lots of information. Good time control. Amazing cenote cave swimming. Long travel time. Started at 5am and finished at 8pm. Big group with a full coach. Starving. Got up at 5am for the tour pick up, and the lunch was provided after all activities at about 4pm.
Lovely tour! We started at Tulum right when it opened at 8 a.m., and despite it being high season, there were no crowds. The weather was also perfect at that time! Our second stop was Cobá, where we rented bikes and climbed the temple. An incredible experience! The third stop was the Nohoch cenote, and going inside the cave was absolutely unforgettable. A must do! Amigo Tours was exceptional. We had plenty of time at each stop and were never rushed. Our guide, Manuel Tequila, was calm, attentive, and really let us enjoy ourselves. I would definitely recommend this tour! All three activities were amazing!

This was such a great experience. Comfortable bus, long day starting at 515a and returning back around 6p. We'll worth it. Tulum was great, Coba was even better (make sure you get a bike and ride immediately to the main attraction, Nohoch Mul, to have time to climb up the highest building at 42 meters!). You can check everything else out later. Completely worth the heaving deep breaths to get to the top. Then the nohoch cenote was just as amazing (take a cell phone water proof bag to take photos inside the cave). The buffet lunch was great and a nice way to end the night. I wish I would have known the tips I shared and luckily we were able to climb the nohoch mul. Great service, make sure you tip them, it's a long day for us all and they did a great job.
Well worth day, guided by Audomaro and his friend, our driver! I could do it all over again! Despite pickup being late due to thunder storms and floods the previous night all well amazingly well. Communication with Amigo tours is flawless and they inform you about every little change like of the pick os even 5 min late but anyway... Van that drove us around very comfortable and clean. Knowledge of the guide exceeded expectations (Audomaro after a little chat gathered that I have extensive knowledge of Mayans) Our guide was on top of that very kind and approachable. Tulum and Coba was great as well as the lunch (not often can say that about buffet lunches un Mexico) and Cenote swim was fantastic end of a great day! I would do it again and again! Thanks for beautiful day out!

Guys. Jorge was the best. This trip was incredible. Yes it’s a long day, but to walk where the ancient Mayans walked . You can actually walk up the pyramid in coba. and to swim in an underground cave that was crystal clear was one of the top lifetime experiences. Please go with amigo tours. No hidden fees. There was an extra fee for a locker with a key but that was it!!
We had a great experience!Love seeing the Mayan ruins in Coba and Tulum. The cave tour of Cenote was breathtaking. It is a long tour and a lot of time on bus so be prepared
Tulum ruins were really stunning! Great location and such a cool place to see. Coba is also a really special place in the jungle......but take insect repellent with you! The cenote was amazing and we got to swim through the caves. Cruz was a great guide through the caves and knew lots of interesting facts/points on interest. Definitely take goggles or a mask and snorkel to get the best out of this experience! We had a great time with Richard the driver and Pastor our guide. Would thoroughly recommend this trip!
Great experience. Trip ended at a decent time and we were well looked after. Highly recommend this tour. Cenote and Mayan ruins were the highlight of the visit.
My family and I had an amazing time exploring the Tulum and Coba ruins .Frank, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited and very personable. The cenote cave exploration and lunch was definitely the best ending to an already amazing day! Thank you to our amazing guides at both the ruins and the cenote. Special shoutout to our driver, Ed, for his patience and getting us to all of our locations without incident. Definitely recommend this excursion. 10/10 experience
The overall experience was average could’ve been better. I only say that due to the fact that some of things included weren’t and they should done better at specifying what was included based on the ticket you actually bought. From what we were informed we got the basic, which we didn’t even know that there were different options. With the basic tour the life vest, the locker, nor the drink(water/juice) for the buffet was included. Not only that but time was pretty limited during the last activity, we basically had to choose between the Coba Archaeology Site and the Cenote. We had to choose due to them not being close to each other and at the end if we did choose both we would’ve only been at the cenote for 15mins. It did suck that we weren’t able to experience the Coba Ruins especially since this was our first time here. A partial refund would be nice. But other than the experience of the tour, the tour guides were spectacular, they had energy and were very informative.
Salvador the driver and Paul the tour guide were amazing! I would give 6 stars if I could. Learned a lot and had so much fun, great diversity in places went too, very cultural!
José, our driver, and Rodrigo our tour guide to Tulum, Cobá and the NoHoch Cenote were were great. José’s safe efficient driving got us to our destinations on time, safeguarded our belongings and returned us safely from our trip, all with a ready smile and great attitude. Rodrigo was not only friendly, courteous, and had a deep subject knowledge and pride in his Mayan culture and language which he competently shared with us in English, since that was the group’s common language, but invited questions all of which he promptly answered. I highly recommend this team.
