A local gem, Parque is always buzzing with activity. From night markets to salsa dancing, travelers will be immersed right into the local culture of Cancun. We will tell you about the history of the city and how it has become the city we see today, along with more interesting facts about the city.
We will visit my favorite tacos, the best street tacos in downtown Cancun, which will be accompanied with the most traditional Mexican drinks, the "horchata" and "Jamaica" to enjoy some delicious tacos in true local style. We will go inside the taco stands where the locals buy their tacos for dinner.
We will go to a Mexican restaurant to taste some delicious tacos al pastor and another surprise taco that is not very well known in the city. While tasting the tacos we will tell you about the origin of the tacos, the history and much more? all accompanied by a guide with a hat and mustache.
Our third stop will be at a seafood restaurant, next to the park, we will bring some delicious fish and shrimp tacos and tell you more about the history of Mexico, along with some recommendations to make your stay in Cancun even better.
And to close with a flourish, we will return to the Palapa Park to try a Mexican dessert and dance some salsa. There we have two options, "Mexican street corn" or "Marquesitas".

Really delicious unique tacos that would’ve been hard to find without the local guidance and expertise of Oz. Everyone in the group was stuffed but the desert was delicious. The stories and history of Yucatán have been one of the highlights of our trip to Cancun and we would highly recommend for anyone thinking of this tour.
I’m solo traveling and cancun is the first stop in mexico. I met Oz and as I was the only one that booked the tour that evening, it was just him and myself which made it even more special. Oz is an amazing dude born and raised in cancun. We went to three different taquerias and all of them were outstanding with the first for me the overall best! Proper street tacos in a safe area but easily overlooked by tourists. It’s not just about the tacos, Oz told me everything about his city which made the trip not just about food but also about cancuns history/culture/people. Amazing evening 10/10 gracias Oz! What a fabulous way to enjoy an evening seeing Cancun proper (outside of big box hotels). Oz met us on time and was a master storyteller. His passion for his city was evident as he guided us around three taco bars, showing us some of the best tacos we’ve ever eaten. He went above and beyond, even making sure we got our Uber home safely. 10/10 would recommend for a unique evening when in Cancun. Thank you!
I would highly recommend it to everyone! 1000%!!!!!! Osvaldo took us to his childhood neighborhood taco places, where only locals visit. Oh my… I was looking back at pictures of the tacos while writing this review and I was drooling! Haha !!! It was that good! And he had taken a storytelling course, so he told interesting things about the cultural history, the evolution of the city, and the flavors with fun and joy. I have been on many tours in Cancun and this was the most wonderful experience!!!! Also customer support team was amazing too! I was delayed for other tour but they supported me with the clear information to be on time. Again, this is special!!!
Our tour guide was Osvaldo. He spoke flawless English, charismatic, personable and educated on Cancun and its history. We felt completely safe as a group of women and had non-stop conversation and laughs. The tacos was excellent. It kept building to better and better tacos. Our favorite was the black pastor tacos, so unique and amazing flavors!

Alberto was my guide through the culinary experience in downtown Cancun. He knew the area well and as a native had many stories and insight to share. I took the tour my first night in Cancun and it helped me to be able to better navigate the area solo. The food was excellent I feel lucky to have visited and tried the best food that Cancun has to offer. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide Stephanie “Fanny” is very friendly, sweet, knowledgeable, and easygoing. She took us to four different restaurants around the Palapa Plaza and was like a friend spending the time with us. All the food is so delicious and endorsed by the locals. And boy I gotta say, we shouldn’t have eaten anything within at least five hours prior. We had in total of six different types of tacos at three different restaurants, excluding the finishing touches—dessert.
We had a unforgettable Taco tour with Fanny! 3 different taco restaurants and tried out all tacos! So good! We love it and highly recommend!
Osvaldo was a great guide, definitely some of the best tacos I’ve had. Everything was mostly local to Parque Las Palapas which was also a cool area to explore before and after the tour as well. The tripa taco was my personal favorite.

While on a work trip for the hubby where we stayed at an all inclusive resort in Cancun; my BIL booked this “Taco Tour” so that we could experience genuine Cancun culture/food and spend a bit of time off property. Oz was our guide and he was absolutely phenomenal! He was so knowledgeable about local land marks, history of Cancún food culture and of course the best places for the most AMAZINGLY delicious tacos in traditional downtown. He is the truest definition of a Cancun local and his passion for his home was clear in all his stories. This is a walking tour so be prepared for that, but also know you will appreciate the extra cardio because although it’s two tacos per stop/person, by the end you will be in a food coma. The street tacos (Suadero) at our first stop was my favorite, the Al Pastor at stop two was my SIL’s favorite and my hubby absolutely loved the dessert (Marquesitas) stop at the end of the tour. I 10/10 recommend this tour and definitely recommend that you follow the tour guides advice on what to get (as long as you don’t have any allergies/food constraints).
Wow! Great conversation and even better TACOS!!! We enjoyed a small group tour experience and it was even more than we had hoped for. We definitely recommend trying all 6 of the tacos offered. Be hungry, come on an empty belly so you get the full experience. Dessert at the end was a real treat. We found ourselves craving marquesitas later on in the week--shame on you for introducing us to something so delicious 🤤 #besttourguideever

I travel extensively hundreds of days a year and take quite a few tours and excursions. Myself and my wife took this tour and it was just us and Oz today. I cannot say enough good things about Oz and the tour. My wife said it’s the most fun she’s had on our Cancun trip. Not only did we learn a lot about tacos and ate amazingly well we learned a lot about the history of the area and Oz is such a personable talkative guy he is a perfect fit as a guide.

Must try! Authentic experience of Cancun, Mexico and although you hear/read about a couple of tacos per visit, believe me, you get full!! Tour guide Oz was very friendly, kind and has a great sense of humour! You’ll be lucky to have him as your guide. A very great insight in to the Mexican culture!
Came to Cancun, Mexico to celebrate my best friend's 30th birthday. We were so excited to get off the resort and experience real Mexican cuisine and culture. The meeting point was easy to find and Osvaldo was a great host. He was very informative as we learned so much about Mexico and him! The first location made me feel like a true local and I am still dreaming about those tacos. All the people we interacted with at the locations were friendly and helpful. This tour for sure had us full as we left with very happy bellies!

After 2 days of having bland food in the Hotel Zone, I signed up for this tour, bringing me to the heart of Downtown Cancun. I met with my tour guide, Oz, and a fellow solo traveller at a perfect time when the sun was getting ready to set, and the streets were bustling with street food and local vendors. We visited 3 taco spots, each with something unique and interesting to offer. As a small group, we were able to chat and ask a lot of questions. Oz was super personable and easy to connect to, which is also obvious from the way he interacts with the locals in the restaurants and in the streets. He was a great host armed with lots of stories, local tidbits and knowledge about Cancun, the Mayan culture and Mexico. And the food?! SO MUCH TACOS! Each taco we had was different, and Oz taught us something new about them. In the end, my fellow guest and I took home food because we were stuffed! This tour really restored my faith in Mexican food in Cancun and made me wish I had chosen to stay Downtown over the Hotel Zone! Highly recommend this activity for foodies visiting Cancun~
