Great experience! Nice boat with cocktails served. Probably the highlight was Evet who could not have been a better hostess!

We did a 4 hr sail with Abraham and the Oh La La boat. They were amazing, friendly, and very helpful! Sailing was chill, drinks were good and snorkeling was awesome!
Waiting time at the dock better boarding -after the hotel shuttle drops you off - is close to an hour. No one tells you that
The catamaran portion was okay. I found the cat to be dingy, netting was ripped in places. Our snorkeling portion was cancelled due to weather so I cannot comment on that. The island is a tourist haven, we were immediately harassed as soon as we disembarked. We were swarmed by people wanting to sell us everything. We rented a golf cart and bombed around the island - so much fun. We were moved like cattle through the receiving building, that part was smooth, just completely packed with people. Waiting for the catamaran when we were leaving the island was also teeming with people, coming and going The staff (on the cat) was excellent, super friendly and gracious.
Excellent time on the boat Palilu. Our host Renato was Soooo fun made the experience so amazing for me and my family! I will be returning soon.
Mass tourism tour… get ready to queue at the port. There were 100 people squeezed on the boat, limited seating, snorkelling was a joke. Several boats all in the same area swimming from one location to another in a pack, you literally see the flippers in front of you and not much more than that. You spend more time waiting in a line in the water to get back on the boat than looking at fish etc. Also, there were very few fish… I think I saw 3 or 4! So a waste of time. The island was ok, it was busy, with shops etc. the beaches were nice, but again quite busy. The lunch included was also not great. The positives were the hammocks in the sea where you could cool down after lunch. That’s about it… on the way back the boat was turned in to a ‘party boat’. Drinks flowed and overall the staff were friendly and there was some dancing by those who took full advantage of the free bar. If you are looking for a relaxing day, decent snorkelling, nice lunch, quiet beaches, this is not the tour for you. Also if you are getting picked up and dropped off to the port, just check how long it takes. It took us 2 hours on the way there and 1 hour on the way back due to dropping other people off. Overall not for us. If you want to go to the island just make your own way to the main port, get a ferry and choose somewhere to eat and swim, there were plenty of places to eat in the town. It will involve less waiting and probably a better experience overall.
I highly recommend this group. We had a great experience. The crew were so friendly and went above and beyond to help my 90 year old mother enjoy the cruise and snorkeling. Special thanks to Willy, who was so kind and helpful to my mother and took great care of all of us!
UPDATED REVIEW: After Posting The Initial Review, We Did Receive A Message Saying The Company Was Issuing a Full Refund. Thanks... And I Would Add It Took Way Too Long And There Was No Clear Complaint Process, So Use This Cancun Sailing At Your Own Risk. Here Is The Initial Review: DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR - SKIP THIS TOUR – FOR SURE SKIP THIS COMPANY!! We recently (Feb.16.25) did the full experience sail to Isla Mujeres with Cancun Sailing for $129 US each. Please note that prior to posting this negative review, we requested 3 times by chat to be escalated to a supervisor to hear our concerns. The staff chatting with us had originally offered us a 20% refund, citing only one of the issues we had. We let them know we had multiple issues and asked for a supervisor. They stopped responding to our texts. We posted a review similar to this one on Facebook and emailed the company. They removed our review and ignored our email. Here’s a recap of what happened: We booked through the Cancun Sailing web site. Their mission statement on the web site states: “At Cancun Sailing, the most important thing is the guest. Every day we strive to offer quality service and a unique experience, always being faithful to our ethical policy and taking care of our ideals in every step of the service chain.” Nothing could be further from the truth!!! As retired travellers in our mid 60’s, we have been on a lot of tours. We have never felt as disregarded and disrespected as we did on this tour! 1. TRANSPORTATION – the tour included pickup and delivery from nearby hotels/pickup points. From Description of this tour on website under “Inclusions” • Round-trip transportation: Our tour includes convenient round-trip transportation. Travel in our modern, air-conditioned vehicles, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish. Pickup The tour advertised a number of pick-up points in the area we are staying (between Akumal and Tulum). We chose the one closest to us (Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an). There were several start times for the tour. We chose the one that left Cancun at 11:30 a.m. and arrived back at the dock at 4:30 p.m. Once we had booked, we received a pickup time of 8:15 (which seemed overly early), and our pickup place was noted as “Sian Ka’an little horse roundabout”. These are two different pickup points, at different ends of a massive resort complex. Sian Ka’an is one resort, and “little horse roundabout” is in front of the Coba resort. I tried multiple times to communicate that they had provided two completely different pickup points, but I received no response. I finally called the number on the site and spoke with Sofia who said she would check which was the right pickup point. After a few moments on hold, she came back and advised that the correct pickup point was “little horse roundabout”. She sent the confirming email I requested which clearly stated the pickup point as “little horse roundabout”. She also confirmed the 8:15 a.m. pickup time. We arrived at 8:00 a.m., parked our car nearby and walked back to the bus stop at the little horse roundabout. By 8:25, we finally were able to learn by text that the pickup person had gone to Sian Ka’an for the pickup, (our preferred pickup point which we were told was not available), and that someone would come back to get us. A few minutes before 9:00 a.m. a small passenger van pulled up, and said he was scheduled to pick up 11 passengers in Playa del Carmen. We arrived at Playa del Carmen about an hour later and asked the driver about a bathroom. He didn’t know and directed us to ask at the pharmacy who suggested we try a large nearby restaurant. We were each directed to pay 20 pesos to use the bathroom there by a man/waiter who simply pocketed our cash. None of the other 11 passengers were at the pickup point. (Perhaps they too had been given wrong information?). The van proceeded to the Cancun dock where we arrived just before 10:30 for the 11:30 tour (even with the 9:00 a.m. late pickup). Why were we told to be there for 8:15? Drop Off Before the boat docked at 4:30, I inquired how to find our ride back. I was advised line up at the gate where all the passengers were on a list and would be assigned their rides. We were not on that list. I asked the staff member to look on another page, and eventually I found our name, on the 3rd page, but there was no van for us. The supervisor, Javier, was called to help. He told us we would have to wait another 20 minutes for the next boat when there were other people going in our direction. He said we paid for “group transport”, and if no one was in our group, we had to wait. I asked him where this had been noted in any of the documentation we received – we hadn’t been told. Javier’s response: “I’m telling you now” (after Cancun sailing had our $). Javier reassured us that the next boat would now be there in less than 10 minutes. However, although Javier had all the lists of the drop off destinations for all the guests on all of the boats, he failed to mention that we would have to wait for three boats in order to have a group going to our area. Every time, we would ask what was happening, he dismissed us, saying, “you can go sit down; I’ll call you when it’s your turn”. He wouldn’t give us any indication how long or how many boats we were supposed to be waiting for. He was the rudest, most inconsiderate, person I have ever encountered on a tour. And he was the manager! We asked how to speak to his superior. He told us the person’s name was Arthuro, but would not tell us how to contact Arturo for help. Javier was perfectly capable of hiring a van to take us back, but decided that rather than making “guest comfort and experience” the priority as per the mission statement, it was important to save costs, all the while making us feel anxious and as if we were being held captive. Javier, did however, offer to let us pay additional money if we wanted private transport back to our pickup point. After waiting for more than one hour after we disembarked from the boat, we were put on a van. Despite all of the times I had tried to correct the pickup and drop off point, the van driver had on this list that we were to be dropped at “Sian Ka’an” (a good 30 to 40 minute walk from where we had parked). A female employee who had been kind to us, (although she unfortunately had to take her instructions from Javier), explained to the driver where we were going. Eventually, we arrived at our car, at 7:30 pm, three hours after we had disembarked from the boat. No snacks or bathroom stops were offered. We were uncomfortable and hungry by the time we returned to our car. We have been on many tours of shorter duration; snacks and bathroom stops are always accounted for. Not with Cancun Sailing! 2. THE TOUR EXPERIENCE After the rocky start with the morning pickup, we had hoped that we would enjoy the tour itself, but this was not the case. When we checked in for our tour, the staff person requested $40 US from us for dock fees, fees listed as an inclusion in our tour. I showed her my confirmation, and she did not push it – she did say, however, that that inclusion wasn’t reflected on her system. The tour itself started with a catamaran ride a short distance away for the first stop – snorkelling - then provided 3 hours of free time to explore the island once we arrived there. For the free time, we had been given vouchers to a bus that would tour us around the island, as well as a bar on the beach where we could receive free drinks for an hour. The experience we chose was on a smaller boat and it was not the one described as a “party”. However, on this catamaran, there wasn’t much seating, and the only place we could find was directly in front of a blaring speaker. I was most looking forward to what we were told would be a 20 minute snorkel. No, not really. It was about 7-8 minutes because the rest of the time was swimming out to the reef and swimming back to the boat. Not great snorkeling for that 7-8 minutes, but I did see some fish. Online tour registration asked about food needs/preferences and allergies for the “box” lunch. I said I tried to avoid gluten if at all possible. (I thought this should be easy in Mexico where corn tortillas are a staple). When we were handed a paper “bag” with “lunch”, we were two of the last people getting our lunch All the lunches were the same types of bags. We were given a very stale (gluten) flour tortilla which encased a tiny bit of meat and cheese, an apple and a small inedible brownie that we didn’t find until we went to throw out the bag. Most of our lunch was inedible and went into the garbage. I have eaten box lunches before – I get that this is not a gourmet spread. But this probably ranks as the worst box lunch I’ve ever had. We asked our tour guide how to find the bus for our vouchers and how that part of the tour worked. She said she hadn’t been given any of that information by the company. Eventually we walked a bit on our own, and then eventually found our way to the bus after about 70 minutes. There were apparently two bus lines, and we couldn’t find the one we wanted, despite our best efforts. When we returned early to the dock, hoping to use our beach bar voucher, we couldn’t find the bar that would honor the vouchers. No one knew. The best part of this tour is when we walked on our own. Where we were dropped was in a tourist crazy place where every two seconds, someone would be pulling at us trying to sell us something we didn’t want. Yvette, the tour guide, was kind, and so was the one woman staffer at the desk. (Perhaps she should replace Javier instead of report to him?) If you use this company and are staying near Cancun, you might not have the issues we had with transportation. If you want to ride a boat ride to Isla Mujeres and hang out in a tourist trap where you can spend a lot of money, then this is the tour for you! There is nothing about this tour company that would make one feel as though guest experience is their top priority! They also advertise valuing diversity, but this tour seems to be directed to 20-40 year olds. It certainly wasn’t for two women in their mid 60’s! But as retirees, there are plenty of tours that have made us feel welcomed and valued, and provided what they promised to provide. Needless to say, we didn’t get what we paid for and we want a full refund, but no one at the company will speak with us!
The experience was okay. The only issue I had is that my tickets were changed last minute. I had paid for an upgrade experience all inclusive. The boat that was assigned to us initially was nicer and bigger. While waiting to embark all of the sudden my tickets were changed and I was assigned to a less nicer boat. No explanation. It was very hard to communicate with someone to ask for an explanation. Definitely a bummer
Overall okay snorkling & island trip. Pros - good drinks & plenty of them, beautiful island, helpful crew, nice sail. Cons - short time snorkeling, too long at the island, very crowded on the boat, food fair, boat late docking, loud techno music.
It’s the best. I had a great time. I went to visit the island and it’s fantastic. The service on the boat is flawless . I would definitely recommend to my friends
Great experience, would recommend! We loved the snorkeling, and had a fun time exploring the island. The boat crew was great and accommodating!
We booked this excursion through our hotel. TOnce we got the the dock it was really busy so we had to make sure we were in the right line etc.. Our tour guide was Yvette and she was amazing. Not only did she speak 4 languages, she was knowledgeable and friendly. Once on the boat it wasn't long before they gave us our boxed lunch consisting of a chicken wrap, pasta and a muffin. We weren't very hungry so we didn't eat much of it. Next on the agenda was snorkeling which was optional and many people chose not to snorkel and just to hang out on the boat, enjoy the lively music with all the beer, margaritas, and tequila sunrises you wanted. Upon arriving at Isla Mujeres we were given detailed directions on where to venture off to what tips of either hanging out at the beach or renting a golf cart to tour the island. We chose to hang out at the beach. We walked about ¼ of a mile before we found some beach chairs that were not outrageously priced. We found a bar with beach chairs at $10 each, this included the use of their restrooms/showers/ and bar service. The beach is beautiful, clear and clean. After our beach time we walked the plaza area where you can find lots of souvenirs - expect to pay tourist prices! We boarded back on the boat and headed to Cancun, again given cocktails and beer. It was a great trip and we would definitely use this company again!
The service was excellent! The day was very relaxing. Our tour guide Ivette was warm and friendly 😀. Overall experience was 10/10. We recommend this tour!
Great trip on the catamaran, was an excellent experience. Staff were fun and insightful about the ride, snorkeling and landmarks. Got to see cool yachts and mansions. Snorkeling was great and saw lots of neat fish. Isla Mujeres was a great trip and place to enjoy a cervasa at a beach club. Awesome to see the street vendors. On the way back, saw turtles swimming, was really cool to see that! Great trip and the staff provide info on shuttles when you leave, so that was important to me. I would recommend!!
We went on a catamaran boat ride with this company they area total blast!!!!! So fun and they take great care of you would highly recommend it the boat megaira the best🇲🇽
The staff were extremely helpful. I am handicapped and one of the members literally picked me up and carried me inside the catamaran. When we stopped for snorkeling, he encouraged me to join and made sure he was by my side the entire time. The captain and other helpers were just as friendly and made sure that we all had fun aboard the Gypse Catamaran. We also got a chance to take some photos that actually came out amazing. The beach at Isla Mujeres is breathtaking. We met some great people and made new friends. I highly recommend this excursion, but especially this crew. They all go above and beyond to make your experience an unforgettable one!!!
We had the best day with Yvette and the rest of the crew of Megaira. They were so attentive and fun. Lunch was good, drinks included. Saw cute fish while snorkeling and had professional photos take by a photographer on board. We had almost 3 hours of free time on Isla Mujeres, rented golf carts and explored. Was amazing, definitely recommend!!!
Cancun sailing Megaira with Evette was so good!!!!! they had great music and drinks flowing. Isla mujeres was beautiful and we were able to explore the island and take lots
We had a really amazing time on the Megaira boat with the crew: Ivette, gustava and lennie. Fully recommend to anyone visiting to mexico. Nice for couples and family!
We had the best time!! The crew was amazing and very friendly!! We would highly recommend this trip for some great snorkeling! Our guide, Yvette, was the best. She wanted to make sure everyone on our boat saw all the great sights in the ocean. She recommended things to do and not to do on the island. She definitely loves her job! We will do this snorkeling trip again when we come back! It was so fun being on a a boat in the ocean! We even got to swim a little on the way back to cool off and the staff made sure our drinks were never empty!! We went as a family, my husband and I and my two daughters (27 and 23). There were some younger kids on the boat (12-14). The staff was very conscientious of everyone’s safety!! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip to other families!!! We met some really fun people on the boat and on the island!
The trip and people of the boot Luv Cat were awesome. But it was less a snorcel tour then a visit of isla mujeres and for that it is a bit too expensive. Also instead of snorcel befor going on the Island we rather wanted to snorcel. For example wie stayed almost 3h at the island and snorceled for Like 30min.
The view was amazing, had a great time with my family. I really recommend it to anyone staying in Cancun. The people on the boat make us feel comfortable.
It was amazing!!! This is my second tour to Isla and this one was by far was my fave. We had just enough time for everything we wanted to do and Yvette was an amazing host. They made sure everyone was accommodated and provided great recommendations when we got on the Island. 10/10 would do again.
Highly recommended this company, we travelled on Luv Cat, the staff were amazing! Felt so safe snorkelling with our children, very professional and good vibes all day!
Yvette and her crew were stupendous! Best snorkeling tour I’ve ever taken and I have taken quite a few. Yvette is knowledgeable about the wildlife and super engaging even under water. And the food gets 4 stars from this spoiled Texan - good stuff! I look forward to taking this tour again soon!
Yvette in the Love Cat Catalan was amazing. Her whole crew have the best customer service and love how attractive they were. Thank you so much Yvette
Luv Cats, Yvette and crew were absolutely amazing. Huh energy staff and very welcoming. They made the boat experience great!
We had such a fun time at Luv Cats! The entire staff was very sweet and made us have an amazing time. Ivette was a great tour guide and Balu never let us have an empty hand without a drink. Overall great experience.
Pickup and drop from hotel was a breeze. Had a great experience with Yvett and the crew on LuvCat. They didn’t have vegetarian food on board, but accommodated us at the beach club. Service was top notch and our guide was helpful, friendly and it was good vibes all around. Booked online , and it might be worth confirming specifics of your trip
Awesome trip! Yevett was the life of the party! We chose this trip for my wife's 40th and we had an amazing time! I would recommend it to everyone.
The Boat crew were very friendly and i loved our Lead Evette on the Megaira energy!!! She danced the while time and kept the vibes high!! I would take the Megaira again
Yvette was excellent hostess! The boat Megario was a such a smooth ride! The service was amazing! Yvette was so energetic person
Must book here!! This is my second time using Cancun Sailing. I had the pleasure of having iveet and the crew both times and let me tell you they do not disappoint!! Everything was on time, food and drinks are great. This is the place to book when visiting the Island. Will definitely continue to book with them.
Ivett with Love Cat made our trip so much fun. Definitely would recommend this trip out of Cancun to Isla Mujeres! Best Gordita ever. 5 stars.
Evette on the Maigara was absolutely amazing! They made sure we took the safest route around the island. If you have the option, make sure you don’t rent the golf cart if you are not staying on Isla Mujeres for a whole day. With only 2.5 hours, the taxi tour is the best way, just make sure they are a taxi tour service. Our guide was amazing!! Fun music and great company! I’d definitely do it again!!
The trip with yvette was amazing both me and girlfriend loved it great hospitality and friendliness and we had amazing weather and with a fun atmosphere on the boat and great drinks and food and the island is such a beautiful place!!
Miss Yvette was amazing as well as all of the staff, most amazing experience for a vacation I have ever experienced I will be back yearly to enjoy miss Yvette and crew!!!! 10 out of 10.amazing tour of my whole trip.
The trip was amazing! The boat, Cabok, and Evette were so great. They made sure we had the best time! My favorite part was getting to jump off the boat.
The guide (Ramirez) and bartenders were awesome! Snorkeling was super fun also! Definitely recommend! Also the food and drinks were so good!!
Ivett was amazing! the island was so fun as well as the other people that work on the boat, very welcoming and fun environment! loved the experience
Yvette was amazing! She made our time very enjoyable and took care of us all the time. Isla mujeres was beautiful. An experience everyone should try. The water is breathtaking. Snorkeling was fun and felt safe, it was our first time and well definitely be back.
This was the a very enjoyable catamaran experience overall. Perhaps we got lucky that our tour group was only around 23-people for a ~35-peson vessel, so we weren't too crowded. The snorkeling was almost 30-minutes which is much longer than other similar catamaran tours we have taken. The lunch was good, but basic. The crew was very lively, friendly & they kept the alcohol flowing! Isla Mujeres was nice, but the discounted bar they mentioned was a ~15-minute walk away, so we just paid a separate fee to have our umbrella & chairs & enjoy some water leisurely sun & water time. Highly recommend the "Mr. Pineapple Head" pina coladas at the bar near the pier. Also, for those of your with fairer skin, bring lots of sunscreen (and reply!) and a sun hat, or you're going to get a serious case of sun burn!
Fun trip. A little disorganized at the start with only one lady working check in and 100+ people waiting in line (lunch time I guess) The boat was packed full with 100 people. Snorkeling was very rushed probably because there were so many first timers. The crew was very helpful and fun. They keep drinks flowing the entire time. La Isla is a very cool place. Tons of little restaurants and shopping (expensive). Rented a gas golf cart for about 50 bucks and it was definitely worth it. Boat ride home was nice as everyone was tired but more relaxed. You are going to be sweaty and hot the entire time so be prepared. I would recommend for a first time tour to the Island but I probably wouldn't pay to do it again.
Ramirez is an amazing tour guide. He has an amazing attitude and he knows how to keep things fun and light hearted while still being safe.
Ivett was super fun and informative. She was a wonderful host. The entire crew was extremely hospitable. The trip was worth it and we definitely recommend booking with Ivett and taking the Megaira boat.
The excursion was nice, but when I got to the boat the person checking me in tried to swindle me into paying taxes. My excursion was paid for. I would recommend this excursion but BEWARE.
Super fun and amazing, would totally recommend. Ivett was a great host. This is definitely a spot to stop when visiting Cancun.
The whole crew was great especially Ivette. I felt sick and they took great care of me.We went on the Megaira. The island is easy to navigate on a golf cart we saw both the north and south side.
Our group of friends took the Megaira and had an amazing time. Evette and the other crew members were attentive and SO fun! From snorkeling, beautiful views on the boat, and the free time to spend on the beautiful Isla Mujeres, this excursion is a must do!
