We'll carry on our flavorful adventure with some delectable quesadillas, sizzling with melted cheese and a choice of fillings, wrapped in freshly made tortillas that promise to tantalize your taste buds!
At this stop, we'll savor the deeply flavorful and authentic Yucatecan dish, cochinita pibil, a slow-roasted pork marvel marinated in citrus and annatto seeds, traditionally cooked in banana leaves for a unique taste that is both aromatic and tantalizing.
We'll immerse ourselves in a unique culinary experience, sampling traditional Mexican delights such as tlacoyos—handmade corn dough patties stuffed with savory fillings—and pulque, an ancient fermented drink cherished for its earthy flavors and cultural significance.
Next, we'll explore the rich diversity of Mexico's fruits and vegetables, gaining insights into the region's agricultural heritage and the fresh, colorful produce that is a staple of local cuisine.
We'll conclude our culinary adventure with a delightful treat, sampling an array of very traditional Mexican popsicles and ice creams, each bursting with fresh, natural flavors that provide a sweet, cooling finish to our gastronomic journey.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and Alex made the experience entertaining and informative. We were impressed by Alex's breadth of knowledge on Mexican food and ingrediants, and on Puerto Morelos history. We thought the tour was well paced, just when we were getting thirsty and wanted to sit, there was the fresca bar.
We had a great time on our food tour! Our guide Enrique was awesome! We stopped at many places to try all different kinds of foods, drinks, and ended with ice cream. It was the perfect outing with our family. I would recommend this 100% for anyone wanting a little taste of Puerto Morelos.

We learned so much this morning about the Mayan culture, history, tacos, fruits and vegetables, Agua de fresca, and helado. Enrique was delightful! We loved our walking and tasting tour.

Wow! What a fun experience. Was just me, my Wife and the brilliant Alex, our Tour guide. 3 hours flew by as we meandered through the streets talking history, families and of course working our way through every Mexican food going. We visited street vendors and small family run restaurants. The food was delicious and finished off with an amazing ice cream. Can’t recommend enough and don’t eat before!

The Puerto Morelos Dinner walking food tour was recommended by a friend and I signed my group up for the experience. We all enjoyed an amazing evening of culture, learning how Puerto and the other coastal towns came to be, and so many delicious bites. Christobal is an outstanding guide, welcoming, friendly, interactive, passionate about food, and knowledgeable about the area. He confirmed if we had any allergies or preferences and off we went for a 3 hour experience of flavor. We enjoyed 3 restaurants to taste charcoal cooked chicken, ceviche, and tacos. Each stop had a story about how it came to be. The finale was a sweet bite that ended the evening perfectly. Thank you for a food adventure we will always remember, Christobal!

We did the Eating with Carmen food tour of Playa del Carmen last year and enjoyed it so much we wanted to do another one. This one was just as wonderful. Pace yourself because there was a lot of delicious food! We enjoyed talking with our guide, Enrique, about the history of the area. Definitely put this on your to do list!!!

Diego was a fantastic guide and taught us all about the foods and even about Mayan culture and history. Diego was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Had Diego as our tour guide, absolutely amazing!! We loved the food, it was so authentic and wonderful. Our group had a great walking food tour in Puerto Morelos. It was a hot day, but the pace of the tour was perfect to give us time to stop and hydrate. We tried several amazing dishes; tamales, quesadillias, tacos and even had some delicious ice cream to end the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The food tour was amazing!! Enrique was the best tour guide! I highly recommend Enrique! The number of stops were perfect and the ending with ice cream was perfect.
I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about Mexican cuisine. Our guide Enrique made the tour very enjoyable. The distance between stops was very minimal and the stops very traditional to the area of Puerto Morelos. One recommendation- skip breakfast! You will have plenty to eat.

Our tour with Alex was our favorite part of our visit to Mexico! We got to try a number of great local foods—tacos, sopes and quesadillas. Alex was friendly, informative and accommodating, providing us with information about Puerto Morelos, Mexico and the food.
