We had a great experience in this snorkeling tour. The guides were good communicators and gave clear instructions specially when it came to safety. They helped made sure the gear worked for everyone. Also learned a bit about Mexican culture in this tour.
We actually didn't get to go because our transportation didn't arrive. After many attempts to call and message viator, with no response we requested a refund. Still no response. Very dissatisfied.
This was terrible. We had 2 groups waiting for 2 hours for someone who never showed. No call, no what's app message, no email, no message. Called from personal and hotel phone and no answer. Called viator/trip advisor and they couldn't provide answers because the tour company would also not answer them. Completely wasted our morning and vacation time. Also, learn to dispute the charge because they have to "see" if they can refund you for none showing up for your tour.
Excellent excursion. Pickup was seamless. The snorkeling was well organized & saw a tortoise & barracuda & food & shopping was great! Would do it again!!
Great guides. Really friendly Bilingual guides. Resteraunt we went to was beautiful with awesome fruit drinks. Alberto and Leonardo the boat captain were very nice men.
Pickup from resort was easy however didn’t find out exact time of pick up until evening before but got a detailed what’s app message with info. Driver and guide were not only on time but earlier for pickup which was great. Snorkeling was fun and very good guided. Bring a towel and either a backpack or dry bag
The snorkeling was great but service was average. The tour started late and ended late. Recommend just driving to Puerto Morales and booking a snorkel at the dock.
Well I didn’t get to go and was ditched… so….customer support hangs up on you or just doesn’t answer. Paid for an uber there and went with a different company
The snorkeling was amazing, beautiful, and relaxing. The guide and boat captain new right where you take us for the best snorkeling!
The first “off”. Thing was after paying for our snorkelling tour through Tripadvisor the snorkelling company contacted us and said we had to pay an extra $25 USD/pp for a “port tax”. That tax was more than we paid for the tour but we were going to pay it as a tax is a tax and it is not the company’s fault (however we will get back to that). Since we were not staying at a hotel for pickup we arranged to meet in front of a local restaurant for pick up. The tour guide never showed up at our pre-arranged meeting place. We were there 15 minutes early and waited for 15-20min after. We split up and one of went down to the pier to see if we could find the group while the other waited at the pickup point. Still a no-show! We ended up going with a group that we met right at the pier. Less expensive and no “port tax” added on. When I contacted the company they said the had video evidence they were at the pickup point but never showed it. They did offer for us to go another day but with the added cost of the port tax - which no other company at the pier was charging- it wasn’t worth it. No refund was offered.from the company or from trip advisor whom I booked through.
Great experience for a beginner. We saw a nurse shark, tons of fish and two sea turtles. Just the right amount of time. Pick up was easy. Lunch was good. Shopping was fun as well.
What a great trip!! The reef was beautiful, the guide was great (Gustavo) and we had a terrific lunch! Souvenir shop was WAY over priced
Everyone was very helpful and excellent!! The reef was soooo beautiful and warm water. Very knowledgeable staff, and they showed some popular fish and even saw 2 turtles. Amazing tour!!! We also enjoyed lunch in the restaurant.
I booked a Saturday excursion for snorkeling. Viator contacted me on Thursday to cancel my booking and asked me to rebook for Monday. I accepted, but when they failed again to confirm time and place, I cancelled 48 hours in advance via chat (they said in email that chat was the only means of changing plans since the original booking date had passed). Viator charged my my credit card anyway and said it was my fault for cancelling via the app! Viator will not respond to my complaint via chat and is refusing to refund me. Do not book any trips via Viator unless you want to be treated badly!
The guides were great helping my 7 year old snorkel and feel comfortable. Great family experience. So fun!
The reef is very good, we have seen great marine wildlife. The snorkeling instructors could be more polite. They were making fun of people while they were giving the instructions for using masks for example.
We had a great trip to the reef with our adult daughter and her four children ages 14-20. The hotel pick up was seamless and once we got to our destination we were outfitted with snorkeling gear. The reef was accessed by boat. We made two different stops at the reef and our guide pointed out things we probably wouldn’t have seen on our own—a lobster, an eel and a stingray. There were loads of fish and beautiful coral to look at. After snorkeling we had a delicious lunch and then had free time to wander. We found a wonderful ice cream shop and all agreed that it was a terrific excursion with a first class company.
It is a wonderful trip for snorkeling. Just long enough. Saw lots of fish Including sting Ray and turtles.
The whole experience was amazing. The snorkeling was fabulous we even saw spotted sting Ray and 2 turtles.the beach lunch was delicious. My husband and I both had the lobster and it was delicious. My only complaint might be the tour bus was a bit cramped on the way home.
This was a great excursion! Of course picking everyone up took some time, but it didn't take too long to get to peurto morales. The guides were great. All the equipment was supplied, and our guide on the boat, Raphael, gave great tips to make sure the masks and snorkels worked well. The reef was amazing and we saw lots of fish and a turtle and a ray. Definitely recommend!
We were told pickup at 10am… sat there for an hour and gave up. Tried to contact them for our money back and still waiting.
The snorkeling was not amazing, but still good. However, I don't blame the company for this. Sometimes you just don't see a lot when you're snorkeling. I felt safe and the guide was kind and helpful. The lunch was delicious. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Booked via TUI. One adult, a 14 year old and an 11 year old. Pick up time we had from hotel was 8.20am however the coach did not arrive until 9.30. We were told that this was an error with the collection time we were given, and we should have been informed which we we not, however once we were picked up, the day went well. You have to pay an additional $20 per person on pick up for taxes so factor this in. You alight at the port where you are taken to the boat and given life vest and snorkeling equipment. No sun lotion allowed but to be honest we were shaded on the boat so it wasnt an issue. Two stops for snorkeling. We saw a variety of fish on the reef: nurse shark, rays, barracuda, angel fish, parrot fish and many other beautiful fish i do not know the names of! Well organised and the guides keep the group together and help anyone struggling. Lunch was at the restaurant where the boat moors. We then drove a short distance to a small market for gifts if you wanted to purchase them before setting off back to the hotel. A nice little trip and glad the kids had the experience of snorkeling on the reef.
The snorkeling was one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Morelos. They know the good places on the reef to take you to see a good variety of beautiful fish. We even saw some huge barracuda. The lunch provided was also among the best food we ate during our trip, perhaps the best food.
I messaged them 2 weeks before our excursion confirming, nobody got back to me. I messaged them again a week before our excursion, nobody got back to me. I had my boyfriend call and confirm that they would be doing the tour that day. The day before our excursion at 4pm that evening they said they only do the tours Thursday and Sunday, so we weren’t even able to go.
While Viator indicates this tour starts at 10 AM, the company contacted me the evening before to let me know the hotel pick-up time is at 7:30 AM. When asked if I could cancel and switch to another day, I was told I could not. When asked why the pick-up time is so early I never received a response. I assume this tour spends hours picking up people at their hotels and dropping them off. It is misleading and false advertising for Viator to list start times and how long the tour will last when in fact those times are not accurate at all. Do better Viator.
Tis was a great excursion at a great price! Our guide was friendly, the transportation clean and modern, a super stasty lunch and great snorkeling!
Great deal and a fantastic experience. Friendly guide, clean round trip transportation from our hotel, tasty lunch, great snorkeling. Highly recommend!
Fun Opportunity for my family, and great memories were made. Thank you for your wonderful staff, food, and drinks!
Undoubtedly, this ranks as one of the finest tours I have experienced. The captain and guide were exceptionally kind and accommodating. It was my mother's first snorkeling endeavor, and she initially panicked in the water. Remarkably, the captain devotedly guided her throughout, effectively providing a private snorkeling tour for an hour and a half. Additionally, the complimentary lunch exceeded our expectations with the inclusion of lobster. The tour was further enhanced by an unexpected tequila tasting session. The entire experience was simply amazing.
The only reason I’m not giving a 5 stars is TripAdvisor mislead us as we thought we could schedule for any day but the tour company only picked up from the Playa area on Thursday and Saturday but we booked for Wednesday so we had to rearrange our schedule. The snorkeling tour was amazing and was well worth the money. The dive master and captain were great and knowledgeable about the reef.
Snorkeling went too long. The shops were not anything I would buy. The lunch was nice. All of the guides were great. I was originally signed up for Monday September 25. I was told after contacting company for verification pick up time 2 days before my trip that I can’t go on Monday. I had to change it to Wednesday 27. Nobody contacted me about it.
Really pleased with these guys. They found their niche and and doing great. The reef was beautiful. We saw stingrays, barracudas, and turtles. The “shopping center” they made was beautiful and you can tell they really care about it. Pick up and drop of was top notch.
This was a really cool adventure! The bus picked us up at 11:30 am, we returned to our hotel at 4:30 pm. It included the snorkeling equipment, boat trip to two reefs, 3 guides on boat/water, 1 tour guide on land, bottled water, 3 course delicious lunch and time for shopping. Suggest bringing a change of clothes for after snorkeling. Men should shave face where mask goes to keep out water. 😁 Also put plenty of sunscreen on those exposed areas outside of life vest. The little shopping area has the restaurant, restrooms and several higher end shops. Right across the street is a grocery store with loads of stuff at pretty low prices. Super cool town area. Felt very organized and safe.
The tour was really organized and the food was delicious. The tour guide and people there were really nice. There is like a lil shopping area that’s included and you have to try the vanilla tequila it’s a must . Also the food was great. I don’t eat meat and the vegetarian fajita was really good with the avocado like sauce it came with. You can also order more food that’s not included like fries or whatever else is on the menu. The pickup was organized and the driver was nice.
Picking up four different families and four wide spread out resorts took up almost the entire morning. I didn’t come to Mexico to wait on a bunch of families, so spread apart at different resorts. I basically wasted my time traveling. Too many kids.
Such a great experience. I get anxiety and my breathing gets off, the tour guide was so calming. When we went to 2nd location, I was relaxed and stayed up with my family. Truly amazing!
The snorkeling experience was good until we hit a storm and it became really hard for us to swim. I would have expected the locals to know when the bad weather will hit so that we could have avoided the 2nd spot of snorkeling where it became in my opinion dangerous. The captain and crew were however very helpful and helped us remain calm and moved us to a safe boat and then to shore. We expected snorkeling, tequila tasting and lunch but we started the experience with a jewellery shop so be prepared for that.
The snorkeling activity was good. It was a small group in a small boat. So it was nice. The food was not that great especially us being vegetarian
We were happy to find this snorkeling trip that was exactly what we wanted, only about 15 minutes from Vidanta, our resort, took about 4 hours total and competent, reputable, knowledgeable staff. Ishmael and Alejandro picked us up in a clean, comfortable van. We were lucky enough to end up with a private snorkel experience due to other no shows. Ciello, the captain/snorkel guide made sure our equipment worked correctly and was careful to ensure our safety. He showed us many beautiful fish, and we even saw a barracks and an eel! Definitely our best snorkel experience. The tour included lunch at a quaint Mexican restaurant, and tequila tasting was included. We loved seeing Puerto Hotel is which is so different than Cancun or the resorts. We already referred another couple to this tour company, and would definitely use them again.
The guides were excellent, Chala showed us many things we would not have seen otherwise. Loved the small boat and the smaller amount of people. Not a party boat but double the snorkeling time. Very enjoyable. The lunch was excellent and in a very nice place. Loved that it went out of Puerto Morales. We would highly recommend.
Everything was great, really enjoyed the snorkeling experience! The only thing that keeped me from giving 5 stars is that after lunch you are rushed to get back on the bus to get dropped off. We needed a little more time to enjoy the area.
Very nice excursion. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was good. The snorkeling was amazing. Clear water with lots of colorful fish and the reef was amazing. Both spots were fantastic. I have done this tour several times now and it never disappoints.
Overall a good time. Expect to spend closer to 6-7 hours away from your hotel due to travel time. The snorkeling itself was lots of fun, and we saw lots of different fish and barracudas. The area was pretty shallow, so it’s suited for more beginner snorkelers. We were with a group of around 15 people, and the snorkeling felt crowded at times. I will say our previous snorkeling experience near Isla Mujeres was better because there was constantly something to see, but I liked this tour a lot because we got free lunch, free tequila tasting, and the chance to explore Puerto Morelos for about an hour. You will have to sit through a 15 minute “tour” (read: sales pitch) of the shopping center where lunch is located before snorkeling, and it is very overpriced. However, the shopping center itself is gorgeous. If going on this tour, I would recommend making an effort to slightly distance yourself from the group while snorkeling and exploring the town outside of the shopping center.
Loved the overall experience … the folks at the boat were awesome, great snorkeling experience, lovely food and ambience … a total 10/10 !! My 2 kids loved it as well
The snorkeling guide was amazing. One of us had never been snorkeling before and he was very patient explaining what to do and also making sure they were safe in the water. The lunch was outstanding. I had then pork tacos and they were out of this world, very flavourful and juicy. My wife had the fish and she said it was also very good. We booked through Expedia which was very convenient, especially paying in Canadian dollars. We weren't that crazy about the over priced tourist shopping however we did enjoy the grocery store and were able to find lower priced souvenirs there. It was nice as well to have a shorter trip that didn't take the entire day.
Amazing experience! Highly recommended! Would definitely do this next time. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable.
Intimate size of 8 people, guided snorkeling, experienced and knowledgeable snorkeling guides, orderly and on time. Nice time
What an amazing experience! The water was beautiful and the staff we’re incredible!!! My only cons: with snorkeling, it went too fast and we easily got separated from our group. The buffet left much to be desired.
