Bring sun protection and Dramamine to be safe even if you don’t think you get motion sickness. We had an excellent time with Mauricio and Martin. They were extremely professional and had all the gear you could want. They educate you how to use it, and fish with you. They will ask what type of fish you’d like to try to catch (trophy fish vs keeper fish), so we did both trolling and line fishing. They have great stories and were fun to spend the afternoon with. We ended up catching 7 fish, and they filleted them on the ride back so we could bring it back to our resort for a special chef prepared dinner. Thank you Mauricio for a lifelong treasured memory!

Brilliant trip - crew were excellent and helped my 6 and 8 year old kids to catch some brilliant fish. As advised my wife and kids took an anti motion sickness tablet and they were fine. Thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone who would like to sample just how vibrant and full of life the Mexican carribean sea is! 10 / 10 - amazing - crew were superb and super patient with my wife and kids as it was their first time deep sea fishing.

Pretty much rode around in circles for 3 hours and didnt catch a single fish. The captain was on his phone most of the time. He didnt even attempt to make it fun in any way or explain anything just boring and a waste of money. Not to mention they charge $400 for this service online and if you walk up to the dock there are boats that only charge $100 if that.

A fantastic experience with Mauricio and Martine with good energy and laughs. They were very kind with us, being on our first fishing excursion, and showed us the how to fight when reeling in baracuda and how to properly send out lines for bottom fishing. A morning well spent and highly suggested!

Captain Mauricio and his mate Martin did a great job! They found a good spot for bottom fishing where we caught yellowtail snapper, Jack, and trigger fish. Then we trolled a bit and caught a huge barracuda. Our family had a fantastic time! They took care of every need, kept our lines in the water, well baited, and were very hospitable. Our 6 and 8 year old kept saying how fun the trip was and were kept busy catching (or at least landing) the fish they helped hook!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely incredible experience fishing with Mauricio and Martin! From the moment we left the dock, they worked hard to make sure we had an amazing day. We caught a barracuda while trolling almost immediately, then spent the day catching a variety of fish, and ended by catching a beautiful snapper on a hand line —which I didn’t even know was a thing! Mauricio and Martin were knowledgeable, patient, and a lot of fun to spend the day with. You can tell they truly love what they do and want everyone on the boat to have a great experience. To top it all off, they recommended a local restaurant to cook our fresh catch, and it was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day. If you’re looking for a fishing charter, I can’t recommend Team Mauricio enough. We had an absolute blast and will definitely be booking with them again on our next trip! 🎣🐟

We opted to split the 4-hour session into 2x 2-hour parts; trolling first and then bottom fishing. Had a little boat trouble in the first half hour, so returned to the pier and swapped boats; our time then re-started. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything trolling, but we were given the option to continue or switch… we opted to switch. As soon as we started bottom fishing, the lines were constantly in/out of the water and we caught 2 trigger fish, a blue tang and lots of bluestriped grunts.

Hosts were great. Very personable and have it was clear they have great fishing experience and knowledge. Brought us to a restaurant where they cooked our fish for us

Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I was a beginner fisherman, and my partner has some experience. They accommodated both of us. The fishing was great and the conversation even better. We hope to come back with our family.

We had the best time!! They were so nice, accommodating, and helped us make the most of our trip. They cleaned our fish for us after we finished and personally walked us down to the best restaurant to have it cooked! Would recommend over and over again!

Mauricio is a great guide. He is attentive and very knowledgeable. We caught almost 20 fish. A mix of yellow tail snapper, mutton snapper, smaller amber jack. Mauricio took us to a nearby restaurant that prepared the fish 3 different ways. Absolutely sublime!!! I’m a Florida boy and I have had fresh fish immediately after catch often. But the garlic butter and fried fish I had here was unique. I will recommend for future guest to do drop fishing first because these guys know the water and will put you on the fish. And after you catch some go trolling! The boat is a little on the smaller side so I also recommend taking Dramamine 24 hours before the trip and one pill right before you get on the boat. The medicine needs to be in your blood stream to work properly. It did get rocky in the boat but again we are from Florida and have a little salt running in our blood. But I will be using his services again and highly recommend fishing with Mauricio.

Some things I wish there would have been more information about is the size of the boat you take our is small for the ocean so be prepared to get sprayed quite a bit and be wet most of the time. We unfortunately didn’t catch any fish which wasn’t anyone’s fault but I recommend asking to do the shallow fishing only if you want to be able to fish because when we were doing deep sea fishing we didn’t get to participate at all and felt like we were just on a boat ride. The guides were very nice but also didn’t talk to us much to tell us what was going on while doing the deep water also. There’s also no bathroom for the 4 hours and I also wish I’d known that! They bring water on boat but nothing else and didn’t actually offer us any but we also were trying not to drink so we wouldn’t need to use the restroom. The guys seemed super knowledgeable and I hate to lose them any business but I also just wanted to share info that I wish the listing was more clear on to help prepare others! Also if you can help it don’t book on a windy day as it was bigger waves and made the ride more uncomfortable and if the seaweed/algae is bad that day then when you do your fishing in the shallows it even snapped one line it was so hard to reel in, but neither of those was their fault, just some warnings of when to book that might be best!

We had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Mauricio! He is an outstanding guide—highly knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. He knew exactly where to find the fish, and we caught plenty to last us for a few great meals. The highlights of the trip were definitely watching the dorado aggressively chase our lures and spotting so many sea turtles along the way. It truly made for the perfect outing. Thanks, Capt. Hands down one of the highlights of our trip.The crew knew exactly where to go Super relaxed vibe, lots of laughs, and zero stress the whole time. Then topping it off by bringing our fresh catch back to the hotel to be cooked? 10/10 experience. Would book again .

Had an absolutely amazing day! First time fishing the ocean and couldn’t have been better. The team was awesome and helpful. Caught our first mahi mahi, and some smaller fish as well. Will definitely be back and booking with these guys exclusively! All and all just being on the ocean with a rod in the water was a beautiful way to spend the day. 10/10 recommend!

Today was a fantastic day deep sea fishing! Both gentlemen were very patient and helpful. They were teaching our 12 year old daughter how to use their rods and helping her every step of the way. They were a great time. They cleaned the fish we caught and even walked us to the nearest restaurant, spoke to the owner and had them cook it for us! I would recommend this to anyone. We will be coming back as well.

Team Mauricio was amazing! From the minute my husband and I got on the boat we could tell they were happy go lucky and ready to help us make the most out of our day. We agreed we all wanted to go into deep waters and troll at first for some large fish, but the trolling gods weren’t with us. Once we decided to move into shallow water (80-90 feet) we all started consistently pulling fish. You could tell the guys were genuinely happy for us and even took the time to educate us on the different species that we aren’t used to where we live. My husband caught two very large fish in the shallower water which more than made up for not catching while trolling. It was fun, exciting but also a very chill vibe. Good boat and a hard working crew made for a fun day fishing. Didn't catch anything big in the deep water but had one big bite that rattled the rod so there were big fish in the area. Made up for it with lots of fish in the shallower waters. All in all an enjoyable day.

This team did a great job of catering to which fish we were interested in- and providing various fishing methods to determine which was most effective for that day. We caught a ton of fish and a large variety of fish as well (4 yellowtail snappers, 2 permits, 1 barracuda, almost 2 sharks, and an stingray + a few others I don’t know the names of). The waters were a little rough but our captain did a great job of navigating the waves in a way that felt safe and smooth. We fished in 30 ft - 300 ft deep water- trolled and bottom fished. Highly recommend this tour group if you are trying to catch fish.

Mauricio and his team were great! Although they warned us about choppy waters and willing to reschedule for us, we decided to go out there anyway and give the day a try. My partner and I cannot swim so we were quite on edge but the guides are VERY knowledgeable about the water and that gave me peace. We caught 2 huge fish immediately, they are clearly experts. Love that all equipment is provided and at the end they cleaned up our barracuda, they walked us over to a nearby restaurant that had great service/cooks and prepared our fish 3 different ways. If we find ourselves in cancun again we will definitely give this another try when hopefully the water conditions are on our side.

We had an amazing morning fishing with Mauricio and Matrin! We fished with My husband, son and father. They were fabulous from the start. Our son was excited to reel in every fish he could! We caught plenty of fish! The end of the trip watching all the brids and rays coming around while the fish were being fileted was hilarious+

Booked this for our avid sea fisherman in-laws. They said it was a blast and caught around 12 fish (a snapper variety). Guides were helpful and very pleasant. They were surprised at the boat size but it worked out great and no one else joined them so it was basically a private fishing trip for two. Definitely recommend!

Best fishing value in Puerto Morelos! We booked our charter on the second day of our trip and had fish for our entire stay. We caught a few baracuda on our way out to deeper water. Once we were out deeper, we were catching yellow snapper all morning. It was a great experience and a great value. Highly recommend!!!

The water was very choppy when we went out and probably should have tried to reschedule. The seats were really uncomfortable, and we spent all of our time just trying to hang on and not fall out of the boat. My husband was able to reel in a barracuda, which was really cool, but the rest of the trip was just being tossed around a boat. The guides were wonderful, but this just wasn't the experience I was hoping for.

Amazing experience!! These guys went above and beyond for my son and I. It was our first ever deep sea fishing excursion and we had an absolute blast. First we trolled with the lines out and that’s where my son caught a giant fish. After that we anchored deep in the sea and did some bottom fishing where he caught another 10+ fish. The guys were also fishing and as soon as they got a bite, they’d hand the rod to my son so he could reel it in. We were out for over 4 hours and they even cleaned up our fish and walked us over to a local spot where they cooked it up for us to enjoy. 10/10 recommend this!!

My husband and three sons went out in the morning for a half day deep sea fishing trip. They had a great time! They caught barracuda, spanish mackerel, yellow snappers, and trigger fish. They said they would definitely recommend this company and go again!

We had a wonderful fishing trip today with Team Mauricio. We left Puerto Morelos at 8:00am and enjoyed cruising along the coast out to sea where the fishing began. We were given life jackets and very clear instructions in English with regard to safety and fishing. Our crew friendly and professional with good sense of humour made us relaxed and comfortable. It was such a great experience from start to finish my son successfully landed 2 large Barracuda and a very decent sized King Mackerel (Kingfish) as well as 13 snapper fish! A very successful and enjoyable morning with Team Mauricio that absolutely exceeded our expectations. Four hours went so fast and we returned to shore with an ice box full of fish and some unforgettable memories made too. What an experience, we had not tried sea fishing previously and will definitely fish with Team Mauricio again and highly recommend them if you are looking to fish in Puerto Morelos.

Just fabulous! Team Mauricio really knows their stuff. We booked with them and had a private tour and caught so many fish. Barracuda, Spanish mackerel, yellowtail. We did some trolling and stationary fishing, bot were great. Huge catches with some knowledgable, friendly and fun guys. Thank you!!!
