Absolutely WONDERFUL experience! My wife, brother, and sis-in-law elected to arrange private transportation, with Viator, to avoid getting on a massive coach bus with hundreds of people. This private transportation made it a LOT more intimate, private, and relaxing. It also allowed us to customize how long we spent at each location. Our driver called ahead to Chichen Itza (Mayan Pyramid) to arrange a private tour for us before we arrived and took us to a favorite local restaurant in Valladolid (AMAZING FOOD). I HIGHLY recommend this for groups of 8 of less that are looking for something different, private, and customizable.

Chichen Itza is considered one of the 7 Wonders of the New World and you'll be able to enjoy this Mayan Archaeological Site with our Private Chichen Itza Tour. Chichen Itza has beautiful buildings that still keep dozens of secrets about the knowledge that the ancient Maya possessed. Every building has a purpose, even the position and size they have, probably also have a purpose. This is the case of the Temple of Kukulcan, perfectly marking the equinoxes and summer solstice. Platform of Venus is another example of this, as the planet of the same name was, along with the Sun and the Moon, one of the most important planets to define ceremonies that ruled the lifestyle of the Maya. El Caracol or Observatory, allowed to carry a perfect score of the cycles of the moon, among other purposes, showed favorable dates for planting and harvesting, as well as the equinoxes and solstice.
With our Chichen Itza Tour you'll stop at this beautiful Cenote where you'll be able to jump in the fresh waters of the Yucatan Peninsula. You can also enjoy a meal at this place. The Ik Kil Cenote is one of the most famous ones. In order to reach the water you have to climb down 26 meters. Swimming in the Cenote is a wonderful experience you will be raving about for a long time. You can even jump inside the turquoise waters from a higher platform. It has lots of tree roots hanging from the ground above to the water below. There are small black catfish swimming around you.
Valladolid is a charming colonial city in the centre of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is located halfway (two hours from each) between Mérida and Cancún. And you'll visit it in this Private Chichen Itza Tour. In 2012, Valladolid was named "Pueblo Mágico" (Magic Town) because it is a Maya city with a special colonial flavor. This is where you will see the majority of the towns people still using the typical dress of the Maya, and the buildings around the Main Plaza painted pastel colors. Its colourful houses and haciendas make this colonial city one of the most iconic of the Peninsula. You will surely get a sense of the laid-back pace of life. You should visit the Cathedral of San Servacio, located on the main place (built in 1545, destroyed in 1705 and rebuilt in 1706).

They NEVER SHOWED UP. NO SHOW Called and they said they would not make it This is the first time this ever happened using this App This was not the fault of Viatior and Viator has refunded my complete money and I will use Viator again. Just stay away from this tour group.
Our driver was…. AMAZING! Private tour with Ricardo Corona. Patient and so knowledgeable and fun. Book him on chat app for an exceptional tour to Chicen, cenote w lunch and probably the most knowledgeable guide in all of Mexico whatsapp +52 998 100 0544
I would recommend you pay a little extra and get the skip the line (vip) tickets, or else you will waste too much time in the incredibly long lines. It's hot and confusing at the entrance. Getting vip tix are the way to go. I also recommend a tour guide. Even after watching documentaries and reading about Chichen Itza, it was enlightening to hear facts and history from a local. This specific booking was for private transport to/from Chichen Itza/Cenote. It was nice to have our own schedule and driver who was familiar with the roads, tolls, short cuts and parking.
The guide was very professional and helpful. He provided cold towels when we came back, water, when needed, and the whole experience was perfect with the little ones. We were able to travel at our own pace and not have to be on a schedule that would be required with a large group.
The guy didn’t even come to take us for the tour. We tried reaching him he kept cutting on our call.
Highly recommended, especially due to the expertise that Miguel was able to provide us on the ride. Not only was he courteous, welcoming to our children and very knowledgeable, he was also timely and always available. The ride was comfortable and he was able to accommodate all requests. We went over an hour and were very surprised as we thought our kids would not be able to last the 10 hours of travel. The cenote he recommended was amazing, luxurious and surprisingly well-priced. An incredible experience.
It was a nice day out but the driver never spoke English and was silent majority of the trip. Apparently water and beer is included but we only got six bottles of water between the eight of us only when we arrived on Chitzen Itza! When we questioned the guide he said that’s all the company provided him. Considering this is a 10hour trip in 36c + weather, go prepared with snacks and drinks for the travel. This is just a taxi service.
My family enjoyed our tour to Chichen Itza, Ik Kill and Valladolid immensely! We requested a different pickup time than what was offered through the online booking system and the operator quickly confirmed that they were able to accommodate our wishes. Driver Ricardo pick us up at our hotel right on time. The van was clean and comfortable with good a/c. Ricardo shared a lot of interesting facts about the area as we drove to Chichen Itza and gave us some advice on how to best enjoy our time at the site. He gave us his personal cell so we could text when we were ready to leave. We had done quite a bit of research ahead of time about Chichen Itza so we elected not to hire a guide at the site. We spent an amazing four hours walking around looking at everything and taking pictures. It was an incredible experience but we were very hot as the morning went on. When we texted Ricardo to pick us up he was there very quickly and had a cooler full of ice cold drinks for us! We enjoyed those drinks VERY much! Next stop was a visit to Ik Kil cenote for a swim. Ricardo came up to the ticket booth with us to interpret as we don't speak Spanish and he wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. The swim was absolutely beautiful and very refreshing. We bought the cenote tickets that included a lunch buffet. The food was good and the buffet included one local Yukatan beer per person. We got the dark beer option...I can't remember the name but it was very good. After this we went to Valladolid for a quick visit. We got a type of dessert that's like a thin waffle wrapped with filling like a crepe called marquesitas in the central square. They have all sorts of filling options but we opted for the most popular one which was nutella, strawberries and cheese. Delicious! After that Ricardo drove us back to our hotel and we enjoyed more drinks. He told us a bit more about other areas of Mexico. It was apparent how proud he is of his country and culture and we felt very fortunate that he shared this with us. He also gave us some very useful advice about our plans for the upcoming days in Cancun. This tour was the most memorable day of our trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was definitely more than just private transportation!
The driver was really good and patient with us, so we loved that and are very thankfully! But I had paid for them to provide us bottled water, alcoholic beverages, and sodas but none was provided. We didn't take anything to drink thinking they were going to provide us with it since I paid for it. So we had to purchase our own drinks. Also, the van was very uncomfortable for a 2.5 hr ride. It was 8 adults but we are very tall and some heavy weight so we barely fit in the van. The ride felt never ending. I gave it a two star because no drinks were provided and the long ride was so uncomfortable. But the driver was amazing!
We had booked our private tour to Chichen Itza a few weeks in advance, and had been in contact with the tour company throughout the week leading up to the tour date. However, on the actual date of the tour, no one showed up. We had an 8am pick-up time, and after numerous calls to the tour operator, I finally got ahold of someone via a WhatsApp message an hour later. They informed me that they could not get ahold of my driver, and asked if I could reschedule the tour for the following day (we were leaving the next day). They basically said I was out of luck and to request a refund via Viator. Suffice to say that this is not a tour company I would recommend.
We booked this private tour to pick us up at our hotel and take us to Chichen Itza for the day and back for four people. I was in touch with the company prior to, to arrange some specifics, including confirming pick up time and itinerary for the day. They were flexible and allowed us to map out the itinerary as we wished, which was perfect, since that's why I had chosen to book with them. On the day of, our driver Jose picked us up promptly at our hotel and drove us to Chichen Itza. He was super friendly and a really lovely driver. We did have one almost incident in the near beginng heading out of Playa Del Carmen as he was on his phone and a motorbike cut him off, which made it a bit slower to react, but overall the drive was mooth with him. He gave us ample time to explore Chichen Itza and made the journey easy. Thanks!
Have wanted to visit this site for years . The Beach Palace arranged the tour . I is a long day ,but worth it . The tour guide was wonderful . He taught us about the different peoples that lived at this site . I think it is worth the trip .
This is a one of a kind tour from Cancun Adventures. They picked us up right from the hotel and Brought myself and my husband to the site about 2 hours away. The ride was great! Gabby was hands down one of the best tour guides I've ever had and Freddy kept us on schedule, fed us and kept us safe for the whole journey. The site in itself was breathtaking and immense. Wear comfortable shoes and bring small Bill's because there are so many great local items to buy. The people at Chichen Itza are so friendly and the experience was one for the books. If you love history, this place is for you! Thank you again Gabby & Freddy for being so passionate, fun and knowledgable and for creating a memory that will last a lifetime.
He guides the agency a marvel even the visit to a marvelous cenote XCaret stay. the care of those responsible all very good and safe
My boyfriend and I booked this tour with time on its website, excellent customer service 👍🏼 Our driver Chuy was very friendly with us, throughout the trip we had soft drinks and beers. He gave us a lot of information about Chichen and recommended us a restaurant in Valladolid (the food was delicious) The archaeological area is magnificent, truly one of the 7 wonders of the world. We had a great time, it was the best tour we had in the whole trip, thank you very much!!!
Excellent from start to finish. Very easy to book, transportation was at the hotel at the time we requested it. The drive was very pleasant, we were offered fresh drinks and the driver very friendly. Our visit to Chichen was amazing as we had time to tour the whole area at our own pace. Then the visit to the cenote was refreshing and fun. The driver recommended us a very rich restaurant on our visit to Valladolid "the Marquis inn". We even had time to go to the chocolate museum. All very rich and you do not have the pressure to go with more passengers so you can schedule your activities without problems. 100% recommended.
