The crew was very friendly and inviting. There was no food on board and drinks onboard was just limited to some beer and some red and blue drinks. Food and drinks at the beach club sucked!! Crap food and some crappy hotdogs with cups of iced water, no bottles. Golf cart rental sucked! $55 for 1 hour drive with the group and 2 stops. Would not do it again!
We were on the Supercat catamaran, service was great and had also of fun. BUT tom cruise (he never gave his real name for good reasons) led the boat was very rude and disrespectful to single women. He asked everyone who was single and if you were, he made sexual comments to you all day. Tried to get you naked and asked many times if they wanted to have sex. It was so bad the girls kept moving and started to ignore him and he would follow them. Then comes time for the tips if you were single, he was telling those girls to just give him sex and no tip and if you did tip, he was ungrateful (very upset) and only wanted $100.00 bills. The rest of the staff was great and made a good experience. If you can stay away from Tom cruise and the super cat boat.
I loved visiting Isla Mujeres with them, it is a great way to visit new places in a completely safe way. I want to come back next year with my friends
DO NOT take this tour! From parking to a NOT on time departure, the address given for meet point Incorrect, check in process a complete mess, once you get there they charge you USD20 for docking fee on top of the $75 you already paid, departure time was supposed to be 9:30am (ACTUAL DEP TIME 1 hour later) it’s advertised as Max 40 people and it was more like 80, music super loud all the time, the so called Federal Reef nothing to see only sea weed NOT EVEN corals, liquor onboard disgusting not to talk about the Buffet a complete $ht Show, OVERALL crappy tour. Personnel onboard NOT very nice. For those having their on ride your gonna have to paid US20 for parking and it’s not even on site, the walk is about 20 min. Isla Mujeres honestly nothing to see, stay at your hotel and you’re going to have a better experience.
I just wanted to take my son who has physical issue to a cruise. We enjoyed the tour. We didn't go snorkeling but I wondered what they could see for 30 minutes in where were so many boats and close to the shore. Visit to the little town was great. We didn't go on the Golf Cart activities as time is too short. The waitress in the restaurant were nice. Now I want to tell you about the guides. They are greattttttt😂🤣🤣. They're all sincere, polite and helpful. They know how to motivate people to get involved in the games. My son followed the music to move even he couldn't stand up to dance. I believe most all passengers enjoyed the tour. I highly recommend this tour but you have to realize very short time for each activity. I think it would be a good idea to just spend few days in Isle Mujeres to do different activities instead of doing everything in such a rush. P.S. I'm a travel agent myself.
Great trip with a wonderful tour guide and captain! Small group, more personal. Loved the golf cart tour of Isla Mujeres!
This tour was a lot of fun, without a doubt, Charly and Andy made this a unique experience with incredible views, delicious food and lots of drinks, if you have the chance to go, don't hesitate!
I don’t usually write reviews unless we have an especially good or bad experience. The description was misleading and downright dishonest. First, they didn’t show up at our hotel to pick us up! They lied and said they were there. We were there 15 minutes early and bellman confirmed they never came. They also lied and said they called us. (There was no call on my phone.)Then in the same conversation they said they don’t pick up at our hotel! (I have a receipt showing them picking us up at our hotel.) They said we could take a taxi. We would have skipped the tour (and we SO wish we had) but knew they’d never give us our money back. We waited at the dock 3 hrs for the next boat. Then they packed us on the boat like sardines Nothing like the photo. The drinks were watered down juice with very little cheap alcohol. Not worth drinking. We were the only Americans. The guide spoke in Spanish the whole time, only speaking in English to tell us the absolute essential things. They played LOUD music so you couldn’t even have a conversation. The snorkeling was a joke. Maybe 20 minutes. No fish (except a few gray ones) They stop for an hour at a crazy-crowded beach with no shade or place to sit. It was extremely hot and miserable. It was a tourist trap crowded with cheap souvenir shops. After we counted the minutes until that was over, we went on to the “beach club” (which was not exclusive - you could pay by the day and there were people from several boats there) to finally get lunch after 3:30. After waiting in the stifling buffet line, we got our lunch which was just okay - but at this point we were starving and weren’t expecting much. The beach was a joke. Very small and all you could do was sit in the water with the crowd. We were looking forward to renting a golf cart ($50) to “explore the magical corners of Isla Mujeres” but the reality was you had to go in a parade with a group and go where they go, which was to a couple boring tourist trap areas. Complete rip-off. But the only other option was to swelter on the beach. And of course they didn’t give us a ride back to our hotel. After an argument they did reimburse us for the taxi going (as they should have because we paid for transportation) but they refused to get us back to our hotel. There are many options to explore Isla Mujeres. Pick one of the other ones. And shame on Viotor for not holding their tour companies accountable.
Sorry pictures won't upload Catamaran was extremely fun good music all unlimited drinks. The crew was great the island that we went to was amazing. We did Gulf carts and did a little tour of the countryside highly recommended this as well..
Snorkeling was fun. Setting is beautiful. Food is bad. Workers are pushy. Crazy hot. Bring lots of sunscreen. I am glad we did it but I wouldn't do it again and definitely not with this business. It was a long day.
Good trip but company needs to organize better. The whole catamaran trip was good and memorable but this trip is super touristy like herding cattle. You have to have patuents.... the only negative was we got to port and ptl our driver was there to pick us up but 3 ladies booked a longer trip a hour and half longer trip and the driver stayed to pick them up... all the people in the van waiting were hot and angry... we missed our dinner reservations and were changer by are hotel as no-show minor money but holy cow it could have been better organize by the management it wasn't boat crew or van drivers fault. And to top it off I booked trip to be on catamaran with netted bow and we were herded on to a boat with no net.. I called to book a trip with less than 30 people and our boat had 45... over all boating trip was ok... snorkeling was ok bad... I'm telling you it was like mass herding of people around.... I won't do it again like that because I know it can be done better.
Was an awesome time! They play good music staff is very friendly and they keep the drinks flowing! If your hoping for a long time to shop and explore the island this is not the trip for you (first stop for souvenirs we had 35 minutes which was nothing) but if u wanna knock out shopping, snorkeling get great food and spend the day under the sun on the water I highly recommend!
Love the experience in the boat, outstanding service of the staff, they went the extra mile to make your trip unforgettable!!!
The transportation was a nightmare! We were picked up 30 mins late by a non-English speaking driver. Then we met on the side of the road and we’re told to change vans. Our new van has vomit on the back seat - lovely! Took nearly 1.5 hours to get from Rivera Maya to the docks (should have taken 40 mins tops). The tour was ok - crowded catamaran, drinks were made with the cheapest alcohol (all-inclusive means cheap liquor). We snorkeled for maybe 10 minutes tops which was immensely disappointing. My guess is that maybe we were running late to our next destination so had to trim The snorkeling. The private beach club was ok. We had a nice beach bed under a canopy but again it got so crowded. The food was buffet style, it was ok. We were offered the option of renting a golf cart to see part of the island but declined so we could have some beach time. We spent 2 hours at the beach. Then we got back on the catamaran and sailed to Playa Norte which was crazy busy! Not the tours fault but I didn’t love it. Lots of shops shelling the same items, peddlers on street, super crowded beach. Back on the catamaran to the dock in Cancun. Our driver wasn’t there so we waited 20 mins for him to arrive. Took another 1.5 hours for us to get back to our resort in Rivera Maya. It’s a full day. The tour guides on catamaran were fun and personable. The beach club was nice and relaxing.
The experience on your Catamaran was amazing! I won't forget that I had a lot of fun with the music, the animation and especially the time with my friends! We will definitely come back soon as this tour gave us great attention, all the buffet and the open bar are worth it, the prices are super affordable and the best thing is that the experience is unique.
Enjoyed the smooth sailing and the crew was great! they kept us drinking and hydrated with water. good music and overall just a good vibe on the boat. Snorkeling wasn't much to write home about. thats all i have to say about that. Isla Mujeres is BEAUTIFUL, and I mean so very beautiful, but you cant even look around without someone trying to sell you something and I mean its a hustler's paradise for real for real!! The restaurant we sailed to was also just average. The food was lacking in many ways. It felt like we were at an American food buffet LOL! Then it was like playing hide and seek trying to find a table to sit and eat because they have so many boats coming in with so many people. Lets talk about that beach where the restaurant is connected to! First of all taking away the natural flow of the sea water coming in and out makes for some pretty disgusting water. Its mostly filled with seagrass and the water almost feels slimey on your skin. ITS NOT A GOOD FEELING! I much preferred the beach by the ISLA MUJERES Welcome center and flea market. Then I signed up for the golf cart tour around the island but we were told that we only had 15 minutes to eat and get to the meeting location for the golf cart tour. It all felt so rushed, so I decided to just eat and drink until it was time to get back on the boat. It feels like all day, but its because you're spending most of the day sailing from one location to the next. All in all, I truly don't think its worth the price.
The catamaran was very good, the time on the beach was very nice and nice, they have rest areas, hammocks and more, we had an incredible time, our guide is called Ruben and he was very friendly and fun, you really enjoy a lot especially with the view and drinks accompanied by friends or family, it is an experience that I totally recommend!
What we liked: The staff were great, Daphne was the best. The drinks were also really delicious What we didn't like: Unfortunately as soon as we got there we were scammed. We were told we only paid for the crowded boat, and to be on the boat we wanted to be on we would have to pay $45 more. I was very confused because I had been sent photos of the nice boat with my confirmation, and had even gotten a message from the staff of the nicer boat confirming my reservation. You have no service at that point, the boats are getting ready to leave, so we felt like in order to salvage the trip we paid more. Turns out we were already supposed to be on the better boat, but we never were offered our money back. The boat is also not like the pictures - the couches were falling apart, held together at some parts by tape. These cheap mats are at the front of the boat, very different from the nice pillows that the photos show. The snorkeling was okay, however far from an authentic experience. The guide is dumping fish food into the water, so fish would swarm our group and then disappear once the food had been eaten. The lunch was okay, but it's a buffet of food that has been sitting out in the baking sun. So we didn't feel comfortable eating any of the fish or meat based on how we saw it was being presented. The golf cart ride is a scam, do NOT pay for it. The most expensive golf cart tour I've ever taken, and they take you to a point on the island that is crowded with people and you have to pay to see the sculptures there. The second stop on the tour was El Chapo's house? You can't see inside because of the guard walls and personally wasn't anything we wanted to spend $40 each to see. And then that was the tour, you return to the beach after those two stops. Overall the positive parts of the trip made it not too bad, we had fun with the staff. They did the best they could to make it a fun experience. But we definitely felt ripped off. It is not worth the $90 we originally paid, let alone the extra $80 each for the "better boat" and the golf cart tour.
Well the day started out meeting at a lot were there figure out we’re you are going and then sending you towards the boat you will get on. I thought that the catoroman was one that had the net up front to lay on, but instead it was hard deck all the way around on the boat. So beware about the hard sell on buying all natural tan lotion, telling how all the other hurts the eco system, and it’s very high priced. You are not in the water long enough to hurt anything and the reefs are already pretty much dead and they put in man made fake reefs. The snorkeling is more like an Olympic time trial, you are swimming as fast as you can to keep up with the guide and no time to enjoy it plus it was told we would snorkel again but that didn’t happen. Got to the island and they reserve ahead of time your $45 golf rental which you drive following each other to these certain places and then to this area were there is a bar and place to eat. We got the $6 buffet which was just above a school lunch. The island is so crowded and people just everywhere then after lunch you go to a different area to go shopping from the turkey trap trinket shop. Then it’s time to get back home we’re they go around on the boat with a bottle of tequila and pour shots down your throat. So that is your day on this trip, it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t super either just take it with a grain of salt and have fun.
it was a delightful experience, with beauty every where you look at, and fun and energetic catamaran crew! I went by t self, so I was a bit nervous at first but this feeling did not last for long! The drinks and food was amazing! I love it and will do it again!!! I strongly recommend it !!!
The staff was amazing. Daniel took great pics of me. Great solo trip! I would definitely recommend!!
I found the organization unsafe and rushed for all types of people attending. Ppl were left behind for the snorkeling and the prepping was unsafe due to very strong waves. It didn't give ppl time to put on their gear after the boat stopped. The boat was very rocky due to waves and should have given the chance for ppl to prepare after anchoring the boat. Also they were pretty much catering to drunk ppl and overdoing it that there were ppl falling and hurting themselves and others. Unfortunately all catamaran excursions have the same description so you can't find one that caters to families or elderly.
This was our Third attempt in a one week vacation to get out on a snorkeling trip and although it was again TOO windy to snorkel, the trip was a blast! They put us on the boat in an organized way, starting serving lots of great drinks immediately, playing great dance music that wasn't too loud and everyone seemed to have a great time. The first stop was for shopping and my friend and I did a tequila tasting which was great. Second stop was an amazing beach club with a delicious buffet filled with lots of great choices of food. Then, I play water volleyball for two hours while my friend slept on the comfortable outdoor beds. We couldn't have asked for a better day!!
I went with my friends and we had a great time, the beach club is very good, the buffet is quite simple but fills you up enough to last all day, the snorkel was very fast and I could not enjoy it as I would have liked, because the tide was a little strong that day, overall it was very good, I highly recommend it.
Was it fun with a pretty view? Yes, because my group of friends made it fun. This is why I’m giving it 2 stars. Other then that it’s a nightmare. If you read it all thru you’re paying to go on a catamaran with a max of 40 people with all these lavish accommodations. When you check in at 9 which they tell you to do, they automatically go to upselling. They were putting up to 100 people per catamaran and if you wanted to go with less then 45 you paid a extra $45 per person. They tell you if you don’t upgrade you will stand with about 100 others which we watched a ton of them leave with everyone standing… like no room to move. And if you don’t pay the extra you get a beach, with no lavish accommodations, only unshaded areas, no music, and sandwiches. Not what’s promised….. we paid the upgrade because we just wanted to have fun and not be packed. It was still ah and more then 45 people. After calling customer service now 4 times I just keep getting hung up on. They are allowing a company to scam customers just excited to have a good time and enjoy their vacation.
Fun experience, the captain Marco was very nice, I had a great time with friends, it was definitely relaxing after a long trip to Mexico, we hope to repeat very soon.
The driver that picked us up from the airport was crazy! We sped the entire time and I felt quite unsafe. It took 3 hours to get to the marina and nobody told us this otherwise we never would have gone. The boat ride was okay, food was average and as we had to eat while the boat was moving we got sea water all over our lunch. Kept stopping for swimming which only allowed us 2 hours on island. We were told not to rent golf carts to get around so we sat at a bar on beach and did not get to explore the island at all. Ride home was again cold and windy and everyone huddled under the boat. Ride home again was terrifying and did not get back to resort 2.5 hours after we were promised.
The best tour I have ever taken, the tour has a beautiful view, the food is delicious, I recommend you to visit it, I went with my friends and we had an incredible time.
The catamaran ride is the most wonderful of the whole trip, the views of the sea and the island is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, the service is very complete, the people are very friendly and solve your doubts at all times, the food is delicious, there is a variety of dishes and you can serve yourself as many times as you want, in the catamaran there are unlimited drinks. The beach club is nice, there are beds so you can rest and you can use the kayaks, at the end they took us to go to the island for a while to buy some souvenirs, there is a lot of people there, but it is understandable since it is a tourist center. The snorkeling is quite fast, and a bit complicated due to the tide, in conclusion it is a very nice experience and perfect to take beautiful pictures.
One of the best parts of our trip ! Good weather, good crew and very fun day. Would have enjoyed more time if we had left earlier to have more time at both ports we stopped at on Isla Mujeres.
Overall a Very Average Experience. (Not Recommended for Families - Unless everyone is an Expert Swimmer) Initial Ride + On boarding : Firstly, it takes you Two Hours from Playa del Carmen in the transportation Option and then you have to wait for 40+min for the catamaran to be Ready for boarding. (Exhausting) Snorkeling: However, the worst part of the tour was Snorkeling. They mentioned that you have to be great swimmer to do Snorkeling (Which is never the Case for Snorkeling, as it is meant for Non-swimmers as well). We were dropped off 0.5KM away from the Reef and asked to Swim to the Reef which was an extremely difficult ask from Average Swimmers in the sea. The equipment given was not proper and the breathing pipes did not have proper valves at the top rather they were small open ended pipes so the water kept coming in. We along with a few other passengers could not make it to the reef (Via Swimming) and we had to be taken on-board after a few minutes. And we were told by the Crew that if we didnt know swimming so we should not have gone for Snorkeling. (Note : We have previously done Snorkeling in 2 of the Top 10 best Reefs in the World without any issue) My Recommendation is to go with a tour operator which confirms a true snorkeling experience and not a Swimming +Snorkeling Experience. Preferred Option is to take a ferry to Isla Mujeres yourself and take a snorkeling tour from there yourself. Food (Beach Club) : Buffet was very average and Okay (Not a lot of Options) Overall : It was Okay, as the key highlight was an extreme Let Down.
The catamaran was nice, but don’t expect a tropical paradise - the Isla Mujeres is a busting line of sales! The private beach has conflicting loud music and watered down drinks.
Fun, relaxed! excellent service! There may be some bumps on the deck. Diving was a very nice experience, good snorkeling equipment.
The perfect tour to spend a nice and fun time with friends, you can relax at the beach club and enjoy all the delicious food at the buffet. The caribbean sea is very beautiful and you can take many amazing pictures, I highly recommend it :)
This was the highlight of our trip! My boyfriend and I did the upgraded package with no kids and it was fantastic! We had Peter and he really made our experience me.orable. a definite must do!
Amazing experience !!!! Great staff, animation, amazing place, amazing buffet and service …. Would love to go back soon
All I can say is wow! Had an amazing time on the trip. They arrived to pick us up in a nice clean and air conditioned van. They called and emailed before pick up and the morning of. Once at the beach it was a swift process to sign your waiver and get bands. Then we boarded new wave catamaran and the 5 man crew. They were amazing, full of energy and kept the drinks flowing. They are a hard working bunch and check every moment to make sure you are ok and if you needed anything. The music playlist was diverse and kept us moving and shaking. The snorkeling experience was good and the watched over you really well. Once you got to isla mujeres the food was good and had a variety. We rented the golf carts and one of the crew took us around the island to see the island and punta sur. We had an awesome time on the trip and would definitely book it again! Don’t hesitate and book yours!!
An absolute MUST! This was by far the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Omar saw that we were traveling with my son (age 4) and he helped make sure we were on his boat (Mar) because it was a smaller boat that actually let children in the water. Other boats on the same tour had 30-40 people, where ours had less than 20. We swam in the crystal clear, open water, snorkeled to see fish and underwater statues, and docked at Isla Mujeres where they offered an open bar and buffet. The beach was stunning, and it had plenty of chairs and covered beach beds. After spending a couple hours on the island, we returned to the boat and rode back to Cancun. We were able to jump in the water one last time, and went back to drinking and dancing on the boat. I highly recommend this trip. Plus, it seems way more affordable booked through here than the through our resort. Don’t hesitate. Book this trip ☺️
Exciting experience, definitely the best party atmosphere and fun, we all had a great time, the music, the drinks, the food and the snorkeling in Isla Mujeres this is the best if you come with friends or family, my favorite part was the snorkeling and the golf cart ride around Isla Mujeres.
The Catamaran was with everything! My friends and I had an incredible time, we will definitely have to come back, we were very well attended, the service is spectacular, the music, the whole atmosphere is with everything, they let you put whatever you want and we drank like never before! More activities like this are enjoyed in a big way.
Fantastic, with friendly and attentive guides, everything was perfect, it made it easy for my friends and me a lot that they have round trip transportation options to the hotel, the snorkeling at the Musa aquatic museum was incredible, also the beach club was great and the food was delicious, we had an incredible time.
Our family of 4 took the catamaran on Aug 4. The staff was very good. They promoted the golf cart tours of the island which we though would be a great experience. Just as we left the golf cart gathering area to start our tour, and as we were going down a small slope road, our friends car behind us lost its breaks and crashed into our car. I was run by the car on my leg. My friend was ejected from the car and landed on the curb hitting her head, which caused her a concussion, broken ribs and arm, and bruises all over. The staff said that this was not the first time that such a thing happened. It's so scary to have an accident on an island in a country that you can't speak the language, Pls watch out . We're living a nightmare now
The best experience in Mexico, sensational atmosphere with very friendly guides, open bar, buffet food, everything was amazing, my favorite part was the snorkeling in Isla Mujeres and the beach club, this vacation was the best thanks to you, we hope to return soon to Mexico and visit Isla Mujeres again.
Very very uncomfortable walk, the day with busy water, we didn't have snorkeling, awful food and they take pictures of you, snake and sell very expensive, never sent me the photos,
Visit to island women Incredibly beautiful The downside was that we weren't on the reef as planned.
