We booked this company through our hotel and it was absolutely amazing!!! The meetup is super easy at the marina, we saw so much sea life while snorkeling (sea turtles, barracuda, etc), had over 2.5 hours to explore isla Mujeres. Juan was an awesome tour guide and the rest of the boat staff was so fun and were passing out drinks the whole time. Definitely recommend!!

I purchased the plus or deluxe package for a group of 9. When we got there we were offered an “upgrade” which advertised lounges and umbrellas at the beach, “premium” drinks and a premium lunch buffet. The lunch was the exact same one as everyone else, and the “lounges and umbrellas” were at the “beach club” were you just eat and leave, not at the beach where you spend a few hours. When I complained, they tried to convince me that I misunderstood (Spanish is my first language). When I pressed because the beach club was already part of the pkus package, therefore it was not an upgrade as advertised, the manager told me that he would contact me to come to an “agreement”. I sent them several messages, and he just stalled. Fortunately, I was able to dispute the charge. They are just scamming tourists!
Wowww what an amazing day if you want to enjoy ask for “Kraken”boat with Denis the tour guide best service great welcoming, what an amazing host best music and atmosphere he really made our day his recommendation to take a cab to tour the Island turned out to be the best . Spectacular beach we are really speechless thank you Denis Viva Mexico and Viva Israel ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was very good experience especially with my good helper Pedro and rest of his crew very helpful
Great boat trip with the guys and loved the swim
We loved it! Highly recommend!! Pedro
Rena was amazing. The tour was very smooth and I had an unforgettable experience. I was on the palilu and it was a smooth ride, the food and vibes were immaculate. I will definitely do it again.
Rena, boat's name PALILU Really good Rolando helped us either the locals great experience! Great time with Rena, boat's name PALILU,
I had a very unpleasant experience with Cancun Sailing on my recent trip. When I arrived at the dock, I received my ticket and waited with other guests. A woman named Elaine, who turned out to be our guide, was giving instructions to tourists. I approached her twice with my ticket, asking for instructions in English. The first time she told me to sit down and wait. The second time, she responded rudely and told me that my guide would call me. Meanwhile, she was speaking Spanish with the group, and it felt like because I spoke English, I was ignored. Elaine does speak English well, but she simply chose not to give me proper attention. This may have been a factor in the poor treatment I received. I trusted her words and waited patiently. Two groups were organized and left: one went snorkeling near the shore, and another departed on the catamaran named Max. I was left sitting there alone. Only after about 10-15 minutes the staff notice me, and when I explained my situation again, it turned out that Elaine was actually my guide and that my boat, the catamaran Max, had already departed without me. They had to call the catamaran to come back and pick me up, which meant another 10–15 minutes of waiting. Eventually, I was able to join the trip, but the beginning of the day was completely ruined. Although Elaine later apologized, the way she treated me in the morning was absolutely unacceptable — dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. The whole situation was stressful and unnecessary, and it left me with a very negative impression of Cancun Sailing. The organization and communication were extremely poor in my case.
Awesome experience on the max boat with the crew. Dani, Lenny, Hugo and Ivette they were amazing. Definitely recommend
photographer on the cruise didn't send the digital copies after taking the money and promising to send photos in a day, trying to connect and retrieve the copies but no luck.
It was an amazing experience cruising with Ivette and her crew .Ivette and her crew made sure we where snorkeling safely swimming side by side guiding us also helped us find a golf cart rental associate. I recommend you to cruise with her and her crew. The music was amazing party on the catamaran very chill atmosphere. Alcohol was offered constantly. Me personally dont drink alcohol but was offered a non alcoholic margaritas .
We had the best time on our catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres! From start to finish, everything was smooth, exciting, and beautifully organized. The snorkeling was a blast—crystal-clear water, colorful fish, and just the right amount of time to explore the reef. Our guide, Oscar, was absolutely awesome. He kept the energy high, made sure everyone was having fun and staying safe, and shared great insights about the area. You could really tell he loved what he does, and it made the whole experience even better. After snorkeling, we had time to relax and explore Isla Mujeres on foot. The island is full of charm—cute shops and gorgeous views everywhere you turn. The catamaran ride itself was so fun, with music, drinks, and an incredible vibe. This tour was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend it—and huge thanks to Oscar for making the day unforgettable!
Mid experience. Would have rather took the public ferry. I would also not follow recommendations from the staff. Staff recommended us golf carts from a couple of younger men hanging around the same area. Charged $65 an hour for golf cart vs other companies around the area that were offering way less. We just trusted staff recommendations. Don't be fooled like us!
My partner and I had an amazing experience! Our tour guide was Pedro, and he made the boat ride to and from the island so much fun. Isla Mujeres was so beautiful! If you get motion sickness, make sure to take motion sickness medication beforehand, as the boat ride is about an hour.
This trip was not the “Luxury cruise” advertised. It was chaotic and not very enjoyable. From chaos at the marina (where do we check in? What boat? Why did we leave at 12:45 and not 12?) to unclear directions (Tinka needs to slow down and speak Spanish, then English separately, because it all ran together), it was not a great experience. We had rough water, which was not their fault. But directions on how to get equipment were not clear, and when I was trying to wait for my daughter to finish getting her equipment, I was rushed into the water separately. The water was choppy, and the directions on what to do were not clear. Actually, everyone was rushed into the water, and my daughter and 5 others who were last got in, but then were so far separated from the main group that they turned around to swim back to the boat. On a day with rough water, one guide for 30 people in the water is not enough. (For reference, I am an experienced scuba diver and I’ve been in rough water before.). The beach club for lunch was not what I expect of a beach club on an excursion. No toilet seats (seriously), restroom doors that didn’t work, no toilet paper, and the food was mediocre. I did not expect the buffet staff to start going around with baskets to get tips. It was not a good look when one guy tried to tell me I hadn’t left enough tip in my basket. Isla Mujeres was nice enough, although touristy. But we were definitely ready to go (the boat was 1/2 hour late). On the boat several youths were overserved and spilling drinks all over the deck. This was followed by the boat staff walking around with a jar asking for tips. Every other cruise like this I’ve been on has a tip jar by the exit for voluntary tips. Nothing like pressuring your clients. The most bizarre ending to this 9 hour day trip (it ran from 11:15-8:15 by the time we were back at our hotel, not the 4:30 on the flyer) was the woman who got off the boat and just started peeing on the sidewalk on the way to the vans. We will be looking for a different excursion experience next time.
Not my first catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres, but dofinitely the WORST ONE. The catamaran was way too big - huge for about 100 ppl with no vibe. We booked The golf cart with them for 1200pesos and Just before hitting Isla Mujeres they raised the Price up to 1800 pesos. We didnt take it. The snorkeling tour was a waste of time. Lots of swimming, we Were being rushed and didnt see much of anything but water. The Staff was pressuring everyone to leave a tip in a very cheap way, they would follow you with a Bucket and intimidate you. We didnt leave one (only at the restaruant we did). They work like a mafia and Arent nice at all. Never again would I choose the Cancun Saling Company, we has a terrible experience. Any other tour company will do.
We loved this tour! Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the open water snorkeling and also the streets of Isla Mujeres! Special thanks to Johnathan for an amazing tour, him and his team were awesome!
Captain Antonio and his crew Pedro, Giovanni, and Eric were simply the best. I badly give 5 stars to anyone but this crew deserves 10 stars if I could give it. If you are looking great tour with a great crew this is the one you want to try when in Cancun. Trust me it is worth the upgrade.
Best time ever! Montserrat, Gil y Capitan Jose they were perfect, I'll be back we them, enjoyed the snorkel very much 😁💓
Great fun, great water and drinks all the time Awesome The water was great, highly recommended The beach party I'm unsure how it was
Yvette and her crew were wonderful! The snorkeling was worth the experience and the Island has lots of shopping and fun. We had a Good day! 🫶🏻
This activity is likely best suited to people wanting several hours of unlimited alcohol, extremely loud music and a wild atmosphere while careening from Cancun to Isla Mujeres. That wasn’t exactly the vibe we were going for when we purchased the tickets from a vendor at our hotel who clearly had no idea what this experience was going to be all about. He insisted it was a family friendly activity, when in fact it was a literal booze cruise where boat employees were pouring bottles of tequila down people’s throats and passengers got so drunk they could barely hold on to the side of the boat. The hotel rep said we would have 90 minutes on the island - when in fact it was 4 hours. Good thing they gave us so much time because the lineup for the buffet was about 100 people (everyone they packed into the catamaran). After fighting for a spot in line, then a table, then a glass or two of water, we rented beach chairs at the crowded little strip of beach but got hit in the head with a volleyball (ok that wasn’t the company’s fault but at that point in the day we had to laugh about something). Then when we got back to the Cancun Marina there weren’t enough vans for everyone and we had to wait another 90 minutes on the side of the road in the dark until they could find someone to take us back to our hotel. With a bunch of spring breakers talking about the balls of coke their had back in their rooms. Probably a good option for spring breakers looking to get super drunk. Definitely NOT family friendly.
I came to Cancun with some of my closest friends for 4 days. On the 3rd day we booked this trip to Isla De Mujeres and it was Amazing! Upon arrival , we got checked in and paid the 20 dock fee and then waited, no more than 8 minutes, for the boat to be set up (Heads Up: don’t put on sunscreen if you plan to go snorkeling as it damages the reef). After boarding , we were on the Maines Boat (pronounced “Minus”) and the crew was so attentive, fun, full of energy, and pleasant in every way. We traveled for about 12-15 minutes before stopping for snorkeling. They give you everything you need and give you an option to snorkel the whole distance or jump in and get back on which I thought was so nice for folks who are nervous. I highly recommend snorkeling as we saw: beautiful fish, vibrant coral , sea turtles , ancient under water ruins , and more. The swim is guided and we go as a group so you never feel lost. After the snorkel we get back on the boat and head to Isla De Mujeres. Our first stop was a buffet lunch which was perfect and came with an open bar (Heads Up: Bring cash as there are tons of extras like churros, ice cream and even an ice bar!). After the lunch we board the boat and make our way to the beach and town for a few hours. The island is great! Highly recommend getting a golf cart to explore and then chilling at the beach for the last hour. We boarded the boat and headed back home. Transpiration was flawless. Overall, this was worth every penny and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Would give ZERO stars if I could. First of all the taxi driver “forgot” to pick us up at our hotel… secondly, when we finally get to the dock, we’re charged an extra $20 per person docking fee that was not mentioned when we originally booked the trip. Third, we get on the boat and it’s nothing like what they showed us. We were told we were gonna get a boat that had an indoor section to go into in case it was too cold or too hot on the deck. ALSO, There was also close to 90 people on our boat. We were told it would’ve been no more than 20 people. THEN, they only served alcohol the second end of the trip. After the snorkeling part. We were told it was going to be from beginning to end. LOL THEN, we were told we were going to get food from beginning to end, nope. We got a buffet when we got to the first part of Isla Mujeres Island. We were given about 30 minutes to eat before we had to get back on the boat and travel to the other end of Islas Island…. No time to explore that end. THEN (lol yes there’s more) when we got to the other end of the island, we probably got less than an hour to “explore” the island. And of course they drop us right off in a tourist trap. A jewelry store. And, of course, as you can imagine, all the vendors are screaming at us to check out their stuff. Trying to make a sale. We NEVER got time to actually see the island. It was extremely UNenjoyable. And a WASTE of money. I would absolutely NEVER ever ever recommend this to anybody and I would never do it again!!!!
We booked the "Full Experiences" package for myself, my wife, my son and my daughter in law whom we were vacationing with through Lomas Travel. The Catamaran took us to the snorkeling "location" but was about 150 yards away from the actual reef. My son and daughter-in-law that were allowed to snorkel saw no reef or fish. The captain told my wife and I both that we were not allowed to get in the water because we were "too old." We are both in our 60's, but active and work out multiple times a week. They said that there was a snorkeling ban due to conditions caused by bad weather, but somehow this only affected my wife and I, and not the 60 other people on the boat. It felt and came across as blatant age discrimination, if snorkeling was "banned" at the time, none of the rest of the people on the excursion or the people on the 20 or so other catamarans that were actually on the reef a hundred yards or so away would have been able to snorkel either. This excursion was an absolute waste of time and money; the staff were not concerned at all with helping or accommodating us, but rather herding everyone through the "excursion" as quickly as possible to get us off their boat. How this is the "highest rated" snorkeling experience Lomas Travel has to offer is utterly baffling, I would advise everyone to stay away from Cancun Sailing Catamarans and book with literally any other snorkeling excursion.
Great staff that were all friendly. Clean boats and the time spent was perfect. Drinks were good. Would do again
The service from start to finish was slick, easy, and fuss free. I felt looked after and part of a team straight away, my partner, on an intense hangover also managed to perk up immediately after meeting Rena and his absolutely amazing crew. The boat itself was called ‘Amazing’ and did not disappoint. It must be hard to be attentive and present with a large group of people, but all the crew managed to make everyone feel really special and this was one of the best trips I have been on. It made my whole holiday. I would do it all over again! Thank you so much to Rena and the whole fabulous crew on the Amazing.
Amazing views. Great ambiance. Good food. Wonderful day trip and would highly recommend. We rode Atleta with Captain Daniel and his crew: Humberto, Tio Jorge and the host Pedro. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!
The crew on this trip was so amazing! They were all so quick, very professional, and personable. Oscar the main host was the life of the party! The trip it self was incredible! Snorkeling and seeing all the beautiful fish, coral, and statues in the water was breath taking. Isla Mujeres was a nice relaxing island with beautiful beaches and plenty of places to relax by the water. And to end the day with a sunset ride back was GORGEOUS! I will definitely be coming back to so it all again!
My family of nine recently did the Cancun Sailing Catamaran Plus Experience from Cancun over to Isla Mujeres. You cannot beat the value you get for the price you pay. They came and picked us up at the hotel which was about 30 minutes from the port. Once at the port, we discovered that since we had booked three separate reservations for the nine of us, we were on three different catamarans! Once we explained the situation, the customer service people were most helpful in putting us all on the same boat. We were on the Sea Passion I. I highly recommend the crew on this boat! They were all extremely friendly and helpful in making sure we were informed of where to be and when. This tour is great in that you have a chance to snorkel, then go to a beach club for a buffet lunch, re-board the boat to go to one of the most beautiful beaches and crystal-clear water I have ever seen, AND have a fantastic party atmosphere on the boat with great music and unlimited drinks. The crew made sure my cup of beer was never empty! The staff of Cancun Sailing was very organized and helpful the entire day and in making sure we all got on the correct bus back to our hotel after the tour. I highly recommend using this company to experience a fantastic day in Isla Mujeres!
The snorkelling on the “reef” was a complete waste of time. Before we got in the water, we were informed that we are about to swim in the second biggest coral reef in the world. This is laughable as I only saw 5 fish! I’ve travelled extensively in the Caribbean and other places like the red Sea in Egypt, have snorkelled in least 20 different reef. What I saw today wouldn’t even class as a reef! There is more life in the River Thames, during winter, and there is where went today. The staff were attentive energetic and took good care of us. Everything was spoiled at the end when the lead staff member started putting pressure on people to give tips. She proceeded to walk around the boat with a jar asking for tips which I don’t have a problem with. What started to get distasteful was her comments about how much was in the jar? When she came to me, I gave a tip. She pulled the money out of the jar and started to shout at me in front of all of the passengers. Apparently my tip wasn’t enough. She demanded more I refused. In over 25 years of travel in the world, I have never had anybody complain that I have given a tip that was too small. The manner in which she decided to try and show me up in front of the other paying customers I find disgusting The tip was ample, and if she isn’t getting paid a wage to be on that boat, she should be speaking to her bosses not me. I shouldn’t be responsible for paying her wages when I’ve already paid well over $400 for the family to go on the trip in the first place. I would never recommend anybody use this company. I certainly would never step foot on one of their boats again.
Don't waste your money on this excursion. Not worth it! The snorkeling was maybe 15 mins and then they herded everyone back onto the boat. I think they let on more people than they should have. The boat was overcrowded. Most people spoke Spanish so the staff mostly spoke Spanish. The trip should have included the spinnaker... there was no mention of this. The food was okay, the beach was crowded. The best part was what we did with our free time. We rented a golf cart to drive around the island which was beautiful. The worst for me was they walked around the boat towards the end holding a tip box in front of you expecting to be tipped. I didn't like that at all. The waiter on the island did the same thing, left a container on the table at the end of the service even though I had already tipped him when he brought us drinks. They took pictures of our family. There was no obligation to buy but they print the pictures and bring them to you at the end and push you to buy. I would not do this again, nor should anyone waste their money doing this. This is the worse excursion we've been on over the year. Anything else has got to be better than this.
Yvette was wonderful. Great experience for the family. It was Lot of fun. Will recommend this to everyone.
The Lohengrin crew were AMAZING! The water and Island was AMAZING as well! Well worth the money! DO IT!
Great, energetic tour guide (Yvette), fun experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who comes to Cancún that wants something fun to do.
Had a really fun time on the trip. The friendliness of the boat staff was beyond amazing and the tequila flight was great even for someone who doesn’t usually like tequila
This is about 5.5 hour tour. We booked this little trip at the hotel for 3 adults and one child. Booking is easy enough they picked us up at the hotel and took us to the marina where we met the crew and got on the boat. The crew was great I really have nothing bad to say about them as they did all they could to help everyone on the boat and while in the water snorkeling. This is where things went south for us. First, my mask would not seal and I kept getting water in it. Swapped masks with my wife and all was well but this was about at the halfway point of the snorkel. Second, snorkeling in choppy waves is not very fun and on top of that the reef is not what I expected having gone on several other snorkeling trips. Third, we felt rushed which was probably good since there was not much to see under the water at least from our perspective but with all the waves and feeling rushed we were a little tired after. Next, we were dropped at the island. As soon as you get off the boat and to the market you’re bombarded with vendors selling their merchandise. From here you can do whatever you want. We rented a golf cart for 35 USD per hours for a fast getaway from the trap. We found a little restaurant and paid the inflated tourist price of 780.00 pesos for some tacos and drinks. I might be jaded at this point from the peddling at the market and shops directly out side of it and I wonder if that’s the price locals would pay for the food. After our time on the island we went back to the mainland on an uneventful boat ride where the great crew were the high point. TL;DR Expensive for what you get, snorkeling wasn’t worth the time and the island is a tourist trap. We just did not enjoy ourselves. 1/5 stars do not recommend
We had Captain Danny & Pedro on our private Catamaran charter. They were both so amazing!! The Catamaran seats 10 total (we had a group of 8), saw some sea turtles, went snorkeling, IXI beach club & downtown Isla Mujeres. Would recommend, ask for Danny & Pedro!
We went on board of Megaira boat. The staff was super friendly, always serving drinks. We stopped for snorkelling and Ivete accompanied us, explaining everything we were seeing. The lunch box was served at 9h15 AM. At the Isla Mujeres, we could explore it for about 3h. The north beach is very nice.
Great crew that sailed us to Isla Mujeres. Nice entertainment, always serving drinks. We also stopped for snorkeling with Ivete explaining everything we were seeing.
It was an amazing tour! The van was very comfortable and the tour guides were very nice. The boat was exactly as the photos and well taken care of. They took us snorkeling at some point which was great however I do not recommend it for people that are not very fond of waves and swimming. They were very attentive with the drinks and great food where we had lunch too. Would definitively recommend it!
This was a great day for me and my family. The staff were fantastic and helped make the experience as enjoyable as possible. From keeping the drinks flowing to just generally being helpful. The snorkelling was great and you’ll see plenty while out at sea. All snorkels and life jackets are provided. The captain was amazing with our kids and let them sit with him steering the boat etc which they loved. When you stop at the shop for Tequila tasting make sure you haggle. The bidding starts at $180 a bottle 😂😂😂 The only negative was the food served by the beach club they use for lunch. Also there were no sun beds on the beach unless you wanted to lay $30-50 for around 90m of beach time which was a joke. All in all though we would highly recommend doing this trip if you want a great day away from the hotel. We booked this through an agency called Destino Riviera.
The dolphins were amazing! Great interactive experience! The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful
The Marmajua. What a fantastic experience. I greatly enjoyed my time but I will try to be as impatial as I can. Arrival: listen to the instructions and actually be there at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. There are a TON of people there and we nearly missed our boat because we thought 20 minutes would be enough. Boarding: very easy and the crew was very attentive. It will be very crowded in the beginning because they need everyone to be at the front of the boat during departure. It gets better once on the water but it is still pretty crowded. Crew: they were amazing and made sure you always had a drink in your hand. They were attentive, hilarious and made the experience that much better. All of them were great but Chichu-D2 was the MVP. Shoutout to Jaime for actually caring about the reef too. It was refreshing. Boat: the boat was clean and well maintained. It was crowded (probably 25-30 people) as I mentioned earlier but it was never uncomfortable. The crew took safety pretty seriously. Snorkeling: I didn't go snorkeling but my girlfriend did. It was a great experience for her and she said it's best to stick close to the guide if you want to see fish. They tend to disperse once everyone starts getting there. Isla Mujeres: north beach was incredibly beautiful. Next dock is pure tourist mayhem the moment you get off the beach. Stay on the beach unless you're planning on buying souvenirs. There's not enough time to do much else. Vendors can be persistent but will listen if you give them a firm no. Food & Drinks: Food was actually pretty decent. Don't expect it to be incredible but it was at least tasty. Drinks on the boat were definitely watered down but that was actually a positive. It kept us hydrated and we still got pretty drunk. Drunk tourists are probably a huge liability so it's understandable. My only regret was that we didn't do a longer trip!
The best experience ever Megaira !!! After wedding gift trip for my guest and Yvette and her crew member were AWESOME !!!
Everyone was excellent and it was a great time! Spend time on the catamaran, snorkeled and got to explore the island.
Definitely recommend going on this excursion. Ramirez was very professional and the whole excursion is well worth it. Will do again when we come back!
Incredible crew. Chema and Captain Xavier. We loved the experience and the tour. Plus they gave us special courtesy of playing Brazilian music. You are the best crew!
This was one of the best tour experiences I have ever been on. Diego, Rodrigo and the whole Megaira crew were incredibly kind, helpful and kept us all safe. 10/10 would recommend everybody to go!
