In case you haven't heard of a cenote before, a cenote (pronounced seh-no-tay) is a natural sinkhole caused by the collapse of the surrounding limestone. When this phenomenon happens, it exposes groundwater, creating a natural pool. Cenotes are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, with clear fresh water and sometimes aquatic life such as turtles and small fish.

This family trip to Tulum was Amazing!!! Alma and Miguel gave us an interesting LDS perspective of Tulum with a refreshing ending in a cenote.
My group and I had a fantastic day with Heber going to the Tulum Ruins! It was insightful, inspiring and absolutely incredible! We made it back to the Port with time to spare! I'm excited to plan a future tour!
Our tour of Tulum with Heber4Ever and Alma’s LDS Tours was absolutely perfect in every way! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. The early start time was ideal — we completely beat the crowds and had the site almost to ourselves. Not only that, but the weather was cooler and so much more comfortable, which made exploring Tulum even more enjoyable. It truly felt like a peaceful and personal experience. Heber is incredibly knowledgeable about the Mayan people, their history, and the Tulum site itself. He shared so many fascinating insights and brought the ruins to life in a meaningful way. We especially appreciated how he thoughtfully highlighted perspectives from an LDS viewpoint without ever assuming or speculating beyond what evidence supports. That balance made the experience both spiritually enriching and historically grounded. Beyond his knowledge, Heber was fun, personable, and engaging. He made everyone feel comfortable and created such a positive, uplifting atmosphere throughout the day. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does! As if Tulum wasn’t amazing enough, we also visited the most incredible cenote. Swimming through the maze of underground stalactites and stalagmites with a guide was unforgettable — such a unique and awe-inspiring experience! We topped it all off with an absolutely delicious lunch that was the perfect ending to a perfect day. This tour exceeded every expectation. If you’re considering Alma’s LDS Tours and Heber4Ever, don’t hesitate — it was truly a five-star experience all around!
SO EASY to get to from the cruise port and made for a very memorable day! Ruth was our tour guide, and she was professional, knowledgeable, FUN, and so personal. I loved how passionate she is about her culture, her religious studies, and history! She had so much info to share and kept us very engaged! Would highly recommend!
I was amazed of the tour guide’s knowledge of the historical information and how it ties in with the Book of Mormon! The guides were very accommodating to all our concerns, questions, and needs! It was very educational and I look forward to studying more history relating to the Book of Mormon era. Restrooms were never a problem. Guides were friendly and personable!
Such an amazing experience. Luis was our guide and could not have been better! Really makes the Book of Mormon come alive!
Our tour guide Ricardo was great. He was very flexible with the tour and answering our questions. This tour is quite a bit more expensive than other tours of Ruins/Cenotes but we enjoyed our experience.
It was excellent. We didn’t need to worry about a thing everything was taken care of and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it fun.
We had the best time on our tour of the Tulum Ruins with Alma's Tours and our fantastic tour guide, Ricardo! He picked us up at our resort in Cancun, and drove our family of 6 safely down to Tulum. It was about a 1.5 hour drive from Cancun to Tulum, so we brought coloring books for the kids and left all expensive and distracting screens behind. Ricardo gave us a wonderful and insightful tour, drawing parallels to The Book of Mormon. It was interesting and just the right amount of time to keep our 4 kids entertained. It was very hot, so we were sure to have sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. We were grateful for the water bottles Ricardo provided, and before the tour began, he was kind enough to let us take our time using the restroom and apply lots of sunscreen before the tour. He was so kind and patient with the kids, and let us stop to take pictures anytime. We then had lunch at the most amazing place right there at Tulum. We then drove to a cenote, where we spent a glorious hour swimming and jumping into the beautiful water. It was no problem bringing a change of clothes and using the restroom before and after the swim. I was thankful for the flexibility and amenities. Alma's Tours was one of the best things we did on our trip, worth every penny. It was our first time in Mexico, and because we had such a great time, we can't wait to go back one day and do more tours with Alma's Tours.
The information provided in this tour is mind blowing! Luis, our tour guide, was a pleasure to be around & we thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was really hot at the ruins, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! We learned so much & we are definitely planning on learning more on our own now. The lunch was fantastic especially the frozen lemonade. Highly recommend this tour!
We had such a wonderful experience we felt safe the entire time. I’m glad that we did the tour because we learned more than we could’ve learned walking through and trying to read it on Google. Lunch was amazing. Our guide made us feel like family. Thank you Jerman for being the best guide.
German did an excellent job guiding our tour! He was very knowledgeable and very caring. It was such a great tour! I will refer LDS tours and German to my friends!
We absolutely loved our tour!! German was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job!! His English was great and he was an excellent teacher. He was also super kind and very attentive to our needs. I truly felt like a VIP
Tulum was a wonderful historic site with a ton to see and do. The atmosphere of being in an ancient city with a beach front view is more than you can imagine. Our tour guide, Luis was absolutely amazing. His knowledge was impressive and inspiring. He had a good sense of humor and answered all of our party's questions. I was impressed with how well he handled a group our size with kids and adults. The Christian symbolism at this site is amazing.
Chris was our guide and he was amazing! Would have spent my whole trip with him taking us around! He knew the best place to eat and got us the best lemonade ever! We enjoyed our time with him so much and was bummed when it was over. The tour with him was the highlight of our trip! Thanks again Chris!!! If we make it down again, I’ll specifically ask for him as our guide!
Tulum ruins are awesome. Our guide was Herman and he was very knowledgeable about the Book of Mormon and the Lamanites that lived there. We had a large family and Herman made it fun for us all.
This is the one of the most positive excursions we’ve taken while traveling with our family! Herman was such a nice guy, very knowledgeable and so organized. He did a great job making everyone feel safe and comfortable. The transportation was the nicest we had in Mexico. Tulum and the Cenote were both incredible. Lunch was yummy and again Herman made it so fun and we genuinely enjoyed his companionship! We had a group of 16 ages ranging from 4 -72 years old! Such a good value compared to other Cancun excursions.
Fantastic to work with. We ended up coming into port later than anticipated and they were very accommodating and made sure we were able to tour Tulum and get back to our boat on time. Would definitely recommend.
