Amazing 2 hours on your own speedboat, went through mangroves then to the coral reef that was colourful & plenty of fish. We also had a display of Mayan warrior dance highly recommended.

Great place to visit very fun for the entire family
Very good. Quality family time. The guide was Pedro and he was great
Great fun. Boats very simple to drive. Crew running the operating very good and inspired confidence (Bryan led our tour). Snorkelling particularly good on the day we were there with lots of fish to see. Splash of Mayan culture. Strong recommend.
Was fantastic that the location was a 10 minute drive from our hotel in Cancun! The dancers in the short ceremony wore beautiful costumes, very well done. Stormy weather for our vacation this week, especially today meant the snorkeling activity was canceled. We were given a much longer time in the speed boat because of this. It was cold, lots of waves and soooo much fun!!! We were absolutely soaked from all the spray! The photos they took were great, really captured the tour. We would definitely do this again!!
Absolutely loved this adventure! The captain and crew were so friendly and welcoming. The Mayan cultural show at the beginning was a delightful surprise. Snorkeling was incredible — we saw so many colorful fish! After the trip, we enjoyed snacks and fresh juice, which was such a nice touch. Super easy to find too, right next to Hyatt Vivid Grand Island. Make sure to pick a sunny morning LoL. Highly recommend!
It was a great experience from start to finish! Staff was friendly and attentive. Speak both Spanish and English. Went with a group of friends and we all had a great time. Beautiful views and snorkeling was fun with equipment provided! Shoutout to Juan and Capitan Flash for making it a unforgettable experience
The Jungle Tour at Puerto Maya Cancun was a mix of impressive moments and some disappointments. The Maya ceremony was fantastic—the costumes and performance were well done and definitely a highlight. The show overall was entertaining, and the snacks were okay. We were told to arrive at 8:30 AM, so we left very early to be on time, even skipping coffee. But many others arrived late. That lack of coordination was frustrating. The speedboat activity was excellent—clean, fast, and easy to drive, even for beginners. Some waves on the sea, but nothing to worry about. It’s definitely a must-do! They offer photos and a video package for $75 USD. A bit expensive, but you get both digital pictures and a video, so it may be worth it for some. Snorkeling, however, was very disappointing. I told the guide I need help snorkeling. He simply said “jump.” I asked if I could sit and get in slowly—again, he said “jump.” No support, no explanation, no reassurance. When getting back into the boat, I was unsure how to do it. He just said “come here,” grabbed my life jacket, and pulled me up. No heads-up like “get ready” or “don’t worry, I’ll help you.” Small words like that make a big difference, especially for people who are nervous or inexperienced. The only time he smiled was when asking for tips. I found that really disappointing. The rest of the staff were wonderful—welcoming, helpful, and positive. With better training or attitude from the snorkeling guide, this could easily be a 5-star experience.
We had a great time snorkeling and the Mayan show was really good. The staff is friendly and fun. Knocked a point off because it does not say that you have to drive your own boat and that it was only 2 people, my family had to split up.
Great day with the team and multiple experience trip. Boats all well maintained and safe. Would highly recommend this as a must do trip
Everything was fine until I realized I tipped the “show dancers” $50 USD. When I went to the front counter & told them it was an accident, the lady said that someone would be up to help me. A lady came up with one of the dancers & opened the box with the key. $3 USD rolled up dollars & a couple of pesos were in the box which was impossible because our group had almost 20 people and everyone put money in there. I know I threw a $50 USD in the box by accident and the fact that they took it out and she said “no one opened it” was a bold face lie. It’s honestly no wonder why Mexico has the stigma they do. Super unfortunate to not just be honest. Everything is about money here instead of integrity. Will not be back.
This was definitely an adrenaline rush! The speed that I was driving the speedboat was both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time! I had so much fun! I thought it would be totally different though honestly. I thought we would ride thru the jungle and see animals etc. but that wasn't the case. I think they should change the name of this tour. I didn't want to snorkel but people who did said it was really fun and the fish were absolutely beautiful! Our guide was nice and very dedicated to his job and the safety of the people on this tour
The tour starts in marina Puerto Maya, after checking in and paying the dock taxes, the guide gave us information on how the tour operates.. we had a purification ceremony with copal that gave some Mayan warriors.. later we crossed a suspension bridge between the jungle and then go to the dock where Captain Fox gave us the instructions to pilot the speed boat.. The snorkeling on Nizuk Reef was very good even though it was cloudy.
I loved the experience, you are quite friendly, from the bar where we consumed a beer to the photographer and especially our guide Captain Fox
Alex was amazing, a great captain. Incredible views, very safe and the reef is very beautiful. The Mayan show very interesting, and illustrative
