Outstanding few hours away driving the boats and then snorkeling at sea. We did the first trip of morning to avoid too much heat. Its great fun and all 6 of us loved it. My wife and I, both daughters and their partners.

The tour guide was very nice, it was a very small group as well.
Truly a unique experience! So much fun driving that speed boat and it was amazing seeing the MUSA and fishes!
George was our guide. Fabulous! Took the time to make sure we were safe and had a wonderful time! It was absolutely beautiful! Well worth the time!
We had an amazing time! The boat ride was fun and goes between islands. Your guide Jorge was very friendly and helpful. Snorkeling was beautiful! They record you with a drone so you can purchase videos and pictures.
We had a such a good time out on the reef with our guide jorge at marina barracuda the place is very nice and the guide jorge was awesome i will recomend to anyone to visit marina barracuda
An excellent experience. Jet boats were fun, the snorkeling was amazing. Our guide pointed out several kinds of fish including a trumpet fish, barracuda and we even saw 2 sting rays. We will definitely go again.
Great experience from start to finish. From the spin in the speedboat to the snorkelling on the reef. Really good 👍 The guys were really helpful and really friendly.
We really enjoyed the boat ride as well as the snorkeling, saw some cool animals we’d never seen. Our guides were very nice, would definitely recommend this tour.
It’s so refreshing that a company values its customers enough to cancel when the weather would make the trip undesirable. I’m so glad they didn’t make everyone go out in unfavorable conditions but rather gave everyone the opportunity to cancel or rebook for another day.
Had a great time and our guide was fantastic! Would book with them again!
Wonderful experience. Worth every penny. Jareth did an excellent job assisting us with the speed boat and snorkeling. He was the best! I highly recommend this tour. The photos came out lovely.
Amazing experience and great staff. Highly recommended. You get to do the speed boating as well as part of the tour. It is conveniently located with free parking.
Had a great time at the Barracuda speed boat and snorkeling tour. Easy check in process and all staff was very helpful! Guide was very friendly and showed us a few favorite places on the reef while snorkeling. Then we had time to explore the reef on our own. Snorkeling is great! We preferred the smaller group of boats & people with Barracuda, as opposed to other tour operators. We didn't have to wait for managing of so many others in docking and at reef. Would definitely go again with this operator.
It was great speed boat experience for our family and enjoy the best sea life in the ocean. From booking to viewing the pictures everything was very made and the staff across the board explained it very well with lot of patience. The guide was excellent. The pictures that they took on the dock and also via drone came out with top quality. Overall great experience and it was our second time visiting the same place after 7years. Sunil c
The people in Cancun are hardworking and service oriented, and the Jungle Tour was no exception. It's really a fun time driving the small boats and snorkeling. The one thing that kind of ruined the whole vibe was the "dock fee." I don't mind paying people what they are owed, but I hate feeling scammed and nickel and dimmed. If there was an additional "dock fee" why not just add it to the price of the ticket on line so that the price is transparent and a person can compare tour companies. If there was small print about the price, it was VERY small. And the additional fee was almost half again the price of the tour. You can do better, Jungle Tour! We also felt very rushed through the snorkeling portion.
This tour was awesome!!! We loved everything about it! It was my first time snorkeling, many thanks to Jareth for keeping us safe, my husband and I enjoyed every moment of it!
Our guide was amazing we had a private tour which was fantastic and it was experience we never will forget
Me and my boyfriend went today, it was an unforgettable experience! I STRONGLY STRONGLY recommend. You drive the little boat by yourself and you snorkel at a very beautiful coral reef, we saw all sorts of animals, a turtle, a stingray, 3 lobsters, huge scary barracuda, an octopus and so many fish in nature! The best, they even prepare awsome video at the end, absolutely worth it!
Fabulous fun with a brilliant guide, Jared, looking after us all the way and making sure we had the best time. My wife had never driven a boat before and absolutely loved speeding us across the lagoon, through the mangroves and out to the reef. Snorkelling over the reef and sculptures was superb, with Jared leading the way and spotting a stingray, lobster, barracuda, lion fish and countless other fish and corals for us. This is a great value package and highly recommended.
An absolute blast so much fun. And the view and snorkel was awesome. Our guide was fun. Knowledgeable and helpful. I was calling him Jerry but I'm pretty sure his name was Jared.
Excellent tour, best value activity in Cancun. Just the snorkeling alone would have been a fantastic tour. The speed boat added to the fun
The 2nd Time Around is Better than the First! We loved the Jungle Tour Barracuda Soooo Much the First Time, we had to do it again a 2nd Time, 2 Days later. And it was even better! We had a Fantastic Time! It’s the Absolute Best Jungle Tour m Cancún ! And our Tour Guide is the By Far, also the Absolute Best! His name is Jareth! He did again, just an Excellent Job He will take Great Care of You! And show you the Best Time ! Absolutely recommend Jungle Tour Barracuda! 10 STARS
This was one of the highlights if our trip. I was nervous about booking this because my wife doesn’t not like to be jostled. I was thinking that the boating portion would be too bumpy. It’s not at all. It’s totally fine. I was a little nervous as well that the boat would be difficult to drive or then it would be too nerve-racking. The boat is very easy to drive. I drove to the reef and my wife drove back. She had a fun time driving and I really enjoyed just being a passenger and drying off. When we got to the reef, we strapped on our gear and got into the water. It’s easy to get off the boat into the water you just drop in. Our tour guide Jaredh, was a really nice guy. His English was pretty basic, so there wasn’t a whole lot of talking between us. Which is OK, but he did give us instructions in English and we understood what to do and we felt comfortable. We didn’t really receive much historical information. But I wasn’t there for that. I was there because I wanted to drive the boat and I wanted to snorkel and see fish and see the reef. And we did. It would’ve been cool if there was a little bit more knowledge about sites at the reef as far as what we were looking at. But honestly, no big deal. I wasn’t there for history, I was there for the adventure. When we first got into the water, the guide tossed some tortilla pieces into the water and fishes flocked to it. That was really cool. I thought I would be nervous having fish all around us, but I wasn’t nervous at all. I think we snorkel for like somewhere around 45 minutes to an hour. The life vest made it really easy to snorkel for a long period of time. I tipped the tour guide 40 bucks, and then we took transportation back to our hotel. In all, I think this is a must do activity. I chose this company because they appear to be a little smaller. We did drive by a few other docs that had like 50 boats. This seemed like a smaller operation that still had really good reviews. And I was hoping to have smaller group and less boats. And I was right, good operation, very professional, and there was only one other boat on our tour. So the tour guide had a boat, another family had a boat, and my wife and I had that third boat. The smaller group was really cool.
Amazing support and staff! Jarit was really great as a guide! We did speedboating and snorkeling. The entire activity lasted for 2.5 hours
Amazing , me and my wife didn’t know how to swim at all and they were able to help us with the snorkeling around the coral reef we all had life vests on , we drove the boat as well with 3 other boats to follow and the tour guide gave us clear instructions, highly recommend if you want to drive a boat and do snorkeling coming from a non-swimmers , they made everyone wear life vest and gave us a brand new snorkeling gear and gave us flipper fins and they teach you how to drive the boat as well , the value was great for the experience they gave us
Every good place provided a nice speedboat and snorkeling experience. Nice people to welcome you, asked about the photo options, very friendly guider “Jareth” who guided us end to end. Choose the short snorkeling route if you can’t swim well as the return route is opposite direction of the sea wave.
This experience was really fun and the guide made sure to take care of us and made sure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend
The staff and guides were very nice. Speedboats were fun. Snorkeling was the bad part. We wanted to be able to see fish, coral, underwater museum but it was more like a swim competition. There was no time to stop and see anything. It was not an “easy” swim so be prepared to work at it.
Really fun driving your own speedy lil boat. Guide was super awesome. Underwater museum was breathtaking. Lots of positive energy among all staff!
My wife and I are from Wisconsin and we love to snorkel. We have gone snorkeling in Maui, Aruba and Key West, and this matched them all. Great coral and plentiful fish! Arturo was a great guide, and we got to drive our own boat!! Yeehaw!
If you are interested in doing something which isn’t partying, drinking, or going to an overly touristic area, this is the activity for you. Lots of fun going out in the open water on your own speed boat, spent ample time diving around the reef, overall a great way to get out of the resort for a few hours. Good couple activity, but would also work great for a family.
It was run professionally. We were signed in quickly and put in a boat to take off. We had plenty time to snorkel. The bathrooms were clean and lockers available
Arturo was a good guide. He paid good attention to our group and showed us around the reef. Highly recommend.
It was ok literally we drove the speedboat and went through a little small mangrove and then it was just snorkeling we did see the statues that were kneeling down but not the one with all the statues standing up. The tour guy Jose was nice old guy but it was nothing to tell as far as history. It was just a fun chill relax day riding in and snorkeling. It wasn't too long 2 hours just what we wanted.
Arturo was very professional and an expert diver. We saw many sea life and really enjoyed the experience. He even took us to a remote place on the reef where we saw stingrays and lobsters. We also saw flamingos but due to the water levels we were not able to get close enough on the boats. 10/10 would recommend this tour.
Everything was amazing our tour guide did an amazing job specially we had someone that was scared but he offered to help us
This trip was such great value for money. I had a few hours before a flight and it had everything I wanted to see and more, including driving our own speed boat. Our guide Valdo was great, I was a bit nervous in the water and he stayed with me so I could hold onto him and made me feel really safe whilst showing all the underwear museum. Would recommend to a friend for sure
Please exercise caution. Despite being informed of windy conditions preventing snorkeling, we were assured we could still enjoy a lagoon ride. Regrettably, the waves swiftly engulfed our boat, forcing us to abort the trip within 15 minutes due to fear and safety concerns. Unfortunately, no refund was provided, highlighting the tour's profit-driven priorities over customer safety. Notably, we had two young children with us. I strongly advise against this tour for safety reasons.
We were very welcomed and felt at home. Ride/view you get getting to the snorkeling spot was beautiful as well. Lots of fish 👍
Jose was amazing. We loved out tour and our picture and videos. He went an extra mile and put my son on his shoulder to go diving. He is just 3.
The boat ride to and from the snorkeling site was very nice. Jose the snorkeling captain was nice and helpful. Also the video/photo service great creating super nice memories. .
We took an excursion that was a speed boat ride through the mangroves & snorkelling near Punta Nizuc. The speed boat part of the trip was very relaxing & enjoyable. The snorkelling was what I was most excited about & it left a little to be desired. The water was not very clear & there was not a lot of fish or marine life to see at that particular time. We also saw a couple of the statues from the MUSA underwater area & it turned out to be a little underwhelming. Also there were a good number of people on our tour & you have to be very aware of your surroundings as people don't pay attention & run into you frequently. We were also a bit put off of our guide. At the end of the trip, it was indicated that tips were not expected but appreciated. We provided a tip & had it immediately pointed out how much more someone else had given. As my title suggests, some good & some bad...
It is hard for me to give a complete assessment of this tour because when we checked-in we where told we could not do the snorkeling portion due to government orders. Our option was to reschedule the tour or just do the jungle tour portion for the same price as the entire tour. Our flight home was the next day, so that was not an option and there was no discounting offered. I own short-term rentals and I'm giving discounts for things outside of my control all of the time, so that left a bad taste in my mouth. Then we were charged a $20 "Docking fee". I knew there was going to be a fee for "Environmental management toll ($20usd per person), payable at the time of check-in" that was described by Trip Adviser when I booked. That seems more like a government fee than a Docking Fee. Regardless, we had to pay it or we where not even going to be able to do the "Jungle Tour". If it is really a docking fee, Trip Adviser should update their listing and just include it in the price of the tour. The "Jungle Tour" is a very loose term. We drover our boat for around an hour and forty-five minutes, about 15 of which were through the mangroves. We did see some iguanas which the kids enjoyed. I had two 18 year old's and they enjoyed driving their own boat. It is tough to say how good our guides where as we really only interacted with them at the beginning to get safety instructions and when they docked us. If your going to book this tour, make sure you do it closer to the beginning of your trip so you have time to reschedule if you can't do the snorkeling.
Driving the boat through the mangroves and the photos and video that they offered at the end. This was so exciting
This is an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again.
This trip was so fun! We got to drive speedboats quite a far distance through the ocean and mangroves to the snorkeling spot. There were tons of different types of fish and the guide was super nice and helpful. I can't remember his name unfortunately, but we had a great time. Trip is really 2.5hrs, no longer no less. Would definitely go again! Was a really great time.
Excellent in every way. From booking online, to the check-in process, the experience was very professional. Our guide was funny and really fun to be with. Highly recommend booking.
Good experience overall. Our boat gave out on us a few times but the quickly replaced it which was great. The snorkeling was great along with the reef and underwater museum. Pristine waters and beautiful fishes.
Don’t book with these ppl it’s a rip off especially in Mexico even in this review, they want you to say more than 100 words there’s nothing more to say besides, it’s horrible
