The transportation option was fine on the way there but it sucked on the way back when 6’4” partner was asked to give up his single captains seat in the transport to accommodate a late obese woman. He was then forced into the beach seat with me and 3 other people in the back - it was a very packed transport and very uncomfortable. I have never been so uncomfortable on a shuttle! There was no care taken to make sure we were okay on that ride home. I would never have e agreed to the day if I knew they were going to sardine can us like that at the end. Beware!

Noah was the best guide we could’ve asked for. whole crew was great.
This experience was pretty good for the value. The only thing that could have been improved was the interaction from the guide in the beginning of the trip to the island. The party only started once we were heading back to cancun. Snorkeling could have also used better direction for first timers. But great experience overall all I would do it again.
We had a great time on this excursion. Our guide Noah was excellent and warned us of scams on the island which was very helpful. The crew was top notch too working hard to ensure our drinks were always full and we were having a good time. The only thing we did enjoy was the food at the beach club, not great and watered down drinks as well at the beach club. But, otherwise the experience was amazing the island beaches are gorgeous and we all had a great time.
The snorkling portion was mediocre at best, short and rushed and while we saw lots of fish, we didn't see anything else and we only saw all the fish because our guide was baiting them. The second we stepped off the catamaran it was chaos. Little direction other than warning us to not get scammed and in order to do that we needed to buy stuff only from the guides "friends." Isla Mujeres beaches are beautiful and the water is perfect, however, we only got access to the beach club loungers for an hour and a half. It was nice to have free time to explore but Isla has gotten so over crowded and is such a tourist trap. I cant tell you how many people we had come up to us claiming they were our waiter from the hotel the night before just to try and sell you overpriced junk. There are some cute shops and if you go off the main strip, you can find some nice shop owners who arent crazy pushy. Though the prices arent very clear so be sure to ask your total before you pay. The guys on the catamaran were nice but were very pushy about tips. We paid $250+ to be there which in all honesty is not worth what you get. All and all, I would go with another group next time or skip Isla all together and go to Cozumel instead. The snorkling is way better there.
Great way to know Isla Mujeres, boat staf was attentive and great, its amazing full day adventure, beach at isla was great
Great day trip. The seas were a little rough which created difficulty for snorkeling, but that beyond the control of the tour company for sure. 100% would do this tour again. The beaches were stunning.
Cancun Sailing Catamarans to Isla Mujeres- The Greuze boat and crew were excellent!! They made the whole process easy and made sure everyone had a great time and experience! You just have to listen to their detailed instructions and enjoy your day!
Great time. After being picked up from our hotel we were taken to Marina where we boarded our catamaran "Greuze". We were met by our guide "Julio number 9", captain "Pancho" and sailors Isabella and Charlie. After a brief introduction and explanation of the ship we were offered drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Julio kept music playing and interacting with the guests. There was a stop to allow snorkeling at the coral reef, it was encouraged to sit out the snorkeling if you were not a strong swimmer. From there we arrived at Isle Mujeres and were shown where we would have access to the buffet and drinks as well as the beach. There were also opportunities to explore the island on foot or via a rented golf cart. While walking the shops we were approached multiple times by people claiming to be our waiter or bartender from the resort who were just trying to get our attention for a sale. We would recommend trying to hide or obscure your bracelet from your resorts.
Just don’t bother, it’s a huge waste of time and money to be herded around like cattle on an overcrowded boat. Our itinerary said we’d be dropped off at a marina approx 10 miles from where we were actually dropped off, and when I say dropped off we were kicked out of the van at a random restaurant and given no guidance of where to go or what to do. Eventually figured it out after 10 minutes. The snorkeling is a woeful experience for about 15 minutes, super rushed. You’re then herded over to what can honestly only be deserved as a miserable ‘beach club’ (it’s a nasty buffet and a bar that serves you 4oz beers and then kicks you out). It’s packed because they send about 500 people to the beach club all at once so don’t bank on finding any sun loungers. The boat staff are basically useless, with all due respect they know they’re working for a cash grab so the don’t care at all. Don’t expect any recommendations on what to do on the island… On our return, our transportation back to the hotel was delayed by around 25 minutes - so while everyone else was on their way back we were stranded at the marina with a poor staff member who had no idea where our driver was. Just an all round, unorganized mess of a company and trip. Save your money. Take the ferry to Isla Mujeres if you really want to go but I can think of 100 better places to visit near Cancun for a day trip.
The Grueze family boat and staff were wonderful. The catamaran ride alone was worth the price. I would have liked a better snorkeling experience but the spot was where everyone stops. It was a fun day.
I don’t normally write reviews, but I think it might be helpful for some. Especially when trying to find activities in another country. I booked this for my friend’s bachelorette trip. We had so much fun. The trip included drinks and food, snorkeling, and time in isla mujeres. The drink service aboard started immediately, which was awesome. The first activity was snorkeling. This was a guided experience, so the guide took us exactly where the fish and statues were. Then we went to isla mujeres to have lunch. the lunch was a buffet style lunch at one of the restaurants in the island. i was not expecting this. it was a very complete meal, so we didn’t have to purchase any additional food in our time there. We had more than enough time to enjoy the island as well. I also booked the tour that included pick up. the tour coordinator was very communicative through whatsapp, to ensure we were being picked up on time and from the correct location. Overall, I highly recommend this. It was a very fun and complete experience. I will note that everyone in my group spoke Spanish, so I don’t know if not knowing the language affects the experience at all, but it didn’t seem to, all of the guides spoke English.
We had the best time. It was as we expected. Everything was great. Jesus and staff offered fabulous customer service. Highly recommend.
The snorkeling is for only about 20 mins before you get to the island. They bring you to a tourist trap where they ripped me off $350 for 2 small bottles of tequila. They wrapped the bottles up so fast I wasn’t able to examine them but they were not what they said they were. I would say the boat ride was nice but taking a fairy over and exploring on your own would be much better. If you’re interested in the snorkeling part, find a different tour. Would not recommend. Not worth the money. The Black Pearl where the boat brings you is a total rip off. Avoid at all cost.
I rarely make an effort to write a review. However this trip has been a highlight of our trip. I've been to Mexico many times and all trips have great. On this ono the journey was the mark rather the destination which was also fantastic it's not my first time on the boat or wonderful island but the crew made it too notch. If I was to summerize this long rant would be thank you.
Love the boat ride. We are older and did not snorkel. The water was wild. Folks had fun. Buffet was good. Isla is a bit like Disneyland. But for drinking and being in crowded spaces. Personally I recommend you skip it.
Bus never arrive to pick up. Waited for an hour at pick up point although paid for hotel pick which got changed the night before by the team. No one picked phone. Bad communication.
I booked this thinking it would be a chill catamaran trip to the beautiful Isla mujeres for our family with little kids. It was a booze cruise and a bit of a tourist trap and we didn’t see any of the beauty of the island that we had heard about. -the music was blasting on the boat the whole time, it was fun but be aware, not everyone seemed to be loving it -the company seems to operate 15+ boats so when you check in it is a zoo with people trying to sell you stuff, a long line and poor communication about what’s going on -all 15 of those boats go to the same snorkeling area and drop their passengers group by group to follow the current the half mile or so where you will be picked up. It’s in open water that’s 15 feet deep and several people who weren’t in good shape had to be picked up and brought back to their boats. You were told you could only do if 9-60 years old and a vet strong swimmer. -I think I saw around 500 people in the water -we went through the inlet to a random restaurant called the ice bar where we had 40 minutes to eat a buffet, to get there, you had to walk past various shops trying to sell you things -we then sailed back up towards the tourist zone/downtown of the island and docked with lots of other boats and were told to follow our guide to get a bracelet -it was across the Main Street and in a random tourist shop where lots of people were waiting trying to sell us stuff - what the bracelet was for I have no idea, there was no free food or alcohol or chairs to sit in or anything and you had about two hours before you had to get back on the boat -the boat ride back a few people were passed out on the trampoline at the front while other passengers danced and had tequila poured into their mouths -there were only around 5-6 kids on the boat
This was a great day trip. The crew is fantastic and the catamaran is very comfortable. I gave it a 4 for several reasons. 1) the snorkeling portion is just too crowded in the water - way too many other tour groups in the water. I also think there could be better communication about how to spend time on Isla Mujeres. It’s a small town. There could be more beach time spelled out instead of cruising 200 meters to the next dock.
It was great and my friend and i loved it. The staff was very friendly and let us take pictures on all areas of the catamaran
It was an amazing day. We went to the reef first and saw a turtle. Then, it was on to the first stop in Isla Mujeres for lunch. Lunch was a very good selection of Mexican favorites. After lunch, you go to another part of the island where you have a couple of hours. We ended up renting a golf cart and go to the Mayan Ruins. Absolutely breathtaking. The only negative is the vendors in Isla are extremely persistent and overwhelming. I was so glad to get in the golf cart and away from the harassment. The gentlemen that worked on the boat made sure we had a great time going home. We also got home pictures for $50 on the boat. The guy that posed us is a magician- we looked really good.
Nice boat- friendly crew, the only problem we had was that there were so many boats leaving the island from the same place at the same time, that we somehow missed our group even though we were right there on the beach waiting, and our boat left immediately. We were put on another boat for our return though, and everything was fine.
All I can say was this was an excellent trip. I purchased the Privilege VIP package which allowed for lots of drinks on the way back, a small snorkeling adventure and a much smaller boat with about a total of 15 passengers. We started our day, got checked in and set sail. About 25 minutes in, we prepped for snorkeling. The water was amazing. It was a little choppy but was still amazing. We got to Isla Mujeres and had lunch. We had a total of 90 minutes to eat and enjoy the beach in a select area. After the 90 minutes, we had approx 3 hours to explore the island. We were told that a specific store would give us a discount and they did. However, it was a little overwhelming with all the shops trying to seduce you in to buy something. That being said, it was warm outside and absolutely beautiful on the island. Our main guy on the boat was Noah from Cancun Sails. He and his crew took wonderful care of us and made sure on the way back to Cancun that our glasses were never empty. It was a great day.
My husband and I had a great experience in our last day in Cancún, Krystel and the crew were very informative, had so much fun snorkeling and in the boat. Isla Mujeres is beautiful!
I booked a catamaran cruise and I was sent to the wrong marina. I have a family of 5, including a pregnant daughter and we were not treated well by the booking agent, Marisol. I called the morning before our cruise, just to verify everything and she still misled us to the WRONG location. I was so disappointed and upset. She was very thorough to inform me that my 6 months pregnant daughter couldn’t snorkel but neglected to tell us the correct marina. Unacceptable. I will never book with your company again. Very unprofessional.
WARNING!I booked the premium package of the snorkelling trip to Isla Mujeros.Package includes hotel transportation. The driver was 30min late. When we arrived to the port we have been told that the weather is bad the sea is rough and snorkelling isnt possible. After contacting the tour operator via watsapp chat (as they were not picking the phone up) we have been told that either we take the trip or no refund.I refused and asked for taxi back to hotel. The tour operator refused to take us back to hotel even I paid for the service. We got stuck 20miles away from our hotel. They knew the snorkelling isnt happening since the last 5 days, they refused to contact me and informed me so I could cancel or reschedule the trip to a different day!Disgusting company!Lost £168!!!
Apply sunscreen 2 times everything was top notch. Recommend highly. Definitely buy a photo as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Island so polluted I could hardly breathe.. no time to relax or explore..hard sell in shop we got dropped off at.. no time to sit and enjoy food. The catamaran was good and crew amazing just highly let down by the island, not as shown in promo videos or pictures,if you have any kind of lung disease (major or minor) DO NOT GO
The catamaran crew were friendly and did their best to make the trip enjoyable, but overall the experience was underwhelming. The snorkeling stop at Bahía Mujeres was very short and there wasn’t much to see underwater. The beach club stop was disappointing — about 90 minutes in a hut with a very limited buffet, and for vegetarians there was little more than salad. It would also have been nice to receive some information or context about Isla Mujeres before the visit, as most people didn’t know what to expect. Drinks on board were basic, and while the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall organisation could be improved. Nice people on the boat, but not quite worth the price or time
Cristelle and the guys on board were amazing. Drinks and snacks were flowing the whole time. Good pictures. Nice small clean boat and smaller group than the larger catamarans. Was a great day for our group! The beach club was clean and no one hassled us for buying cheap junk. Bathrooms clean. Walk right out to get a golf cart for the day.
very fun, the staff are amazing. very attentive and entertaining. whilst on the island i recommend the golf carts. walk further down from the main beaches and the price per hour is basically half we paid £27 for the whole hour the ones at the front charge £60 so definitely walk around and negotiate before settling, you get 3 hours free time to explore the island after the snorkel and swim time. they take you to eat at a buffet beach club. eat fast and get as much time exploring as you can there’s loads of photo opportunities and things to try. the carts allowed us to explore so after the hour we gave it back we knew exactly where we wanted to go as we scoped them out whilst driving. me and my partner loved it, was an amazing day trip even if you don’t want to snorkel just the boat ride and island as a day out is unmissable!
Excellent excursion, with our package we were picked up at our hotel and taken to the dock where you check in and wait to board the boat. The boat isn't overcrowded and is a nice gentle cruise, the staff on board look after you from the minute you get on, constantly ensuring you have a drink and looked after. You sail out to a swim spot where you are supplied with snorkeling equipment and if you dont want to do the swim then simply stay on board and enjoy the relaxation while others swim. The Boat drops you off and you follow your guide to where the boat has went and dropped anchor waiting or you. Back on board you set sail for the island Isla Mujeres where you dock and go for lunch and drinks, the food was excellent, there something to suite everyone, you get 90min of inclusive food and drink which is more than enough time before enjoying your free time on the island. Take towels and plenty of sun screen you'll need it! The island it's self is a bit of a tourist trap, where every shop keeper wants you in their shop to sell you the same stuff as every other shop and also try to get you to hire a golf buggie to explore the island, we simply went a walk around and then relaxed on the beach. Back on board you once again set sail back over to Cancun and again the staff on board ensure that's there never a time when you dont have a drink in your hand before arriving back on land. Your then driven back to your hotel, what a day! I would highly recommend this excursion.
Very well organized and terrific staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, even though the weather was very rainy and cloudy. The snorkeling was rushed and a little stressful because of having to stay in a tight group.
Everyone was amazing especially Ranu, he was very attentive and made the excursion very hospitable. I was never concerned about safety while snorkeling, it was my first time swimming in the open ocean which he made very calming. Will certainly do again. Thanks much!
A bit disappointed with the experience as it was not as advertised. No mimosa on arrival and itinerary not as advertised. Basically motor to snorkeling, then after, boat to buffet and left Advertised as 0-99 years, but at 80 refused to be allowed to snorkel despite no medical issues, made to wear life jacket and flippers, and nothing stipulated about age for snorkeling plus have travel Insurance!! Very disappointing having travelled from New Zealand for this experience. On a positive, service was fantastic.
It was such a beautiful experience to share with my family. It was truly heaven on earth!! The most amazingly clear water and white sand beaches!!!
Everything was great, the island is beautiful, the price is good, and the staff were very friendly and professional! Fun girls trip, would book again.
The price was fair for what you got. The reef snorkeling was great. We saw tons of fish of varying sizes and even a pack of barracuda. The beachclub buffet was tasty and plentiful. Isla Mujeres was disappointing. It has become a real tourist trap and is crowded, overpriced and very high sales pressure to buy things.
Simply amazing! My 1st solo trip & I had a great time! Snorkeling was epic, the staff very informative, fun & made the trip to & from Isla Mujeres super fun! The 4 hours spent on the island, Playa Norte wasn't nearly enough time because it was too beautiful to leave! Great food, shops & people! Que Viva Mexico 🇲🇽 most definitely will book the same experience every time I'm in cancun! 🏖⛵️
The tour was amazing, the staff was great. The only downside was that they provided the wrong address and I was unfortunately late due to it being at another location. The staff was very kind in helping us out and waiting for us but they need to update the address on the confirmation details
The pick up area was disgusting and smelled horribly like sewage, very overwhelming. Once boarded onto the catamaran, most people sat on the floor as there were only seats for about 12 people, we did get a seat. The life jackets provided were the typical orange vests and were not the blow up vests for snorkeling. We chose not to snorkel and glad we did! The group drifted really far from the catamaran quickly. Boats were going through the different groups of snorkelers and it seemed very unsafe. 3 people had to be brought back to our catamaran from a safety boat. It was simply too rough. The captain looked a bit panicked as he tried to quickly get to our group of people still in the water. Those who did snorkel didn’t see much of anything but a statue and a couple little fish. We then went to the island which was dirty and smelled bad. People were driving golf carts and mopeds everywhere. Workers were saying “lady, remember me, I work at your resort” trying to lore us in for their junk they were selling. We ended up taking the fairy back instead of the catamaran. It was a complete disaster and would never recommend this excursion.
Great tour for IslandMujeres, Great experience, I'm recommending this. My family love the trip. Nice people.
After the confusion at the departure area, everything was fantastic the service drinks, photos, snorkeling all were managed well.. food at beach was fine buffet Mexican food. One suggestion would be to have a screen with the name of the departure boat at boarding area vs. A person yelling your boat name, the was confusing and chaotic!
This was a well organised boat trip. The catamaran was great and not too overcrowded. Snorkelling is in like a big line along a rope so you don’t get swept out with the current. Our kids 12 and 10 were fine. This bit doesn’t last long though then you’re off. Brief swim off shore of Isla Mujeres then on to the beach club. To be honest we could have forfeited the long hours at the overly hot beach club for more time sailing. The music was extremely loud, lunch was average and zero shade on the beach unless you pay for a sun lounger. Pepe was a great host and all the crew were fab, would have just preferred to stay on the boat though i think! They were definitely the best part.
Incredible tour! It was perfect all day event with the perfect group of guys running the boat. Every time you didnt have a drink in your hand, They fixed that. I will be sharing this with anyone in the future who is staying in Cancun or Playa del Carmel. They picked us up from our hotel at the perfect time and we didnt stress about 1 thing all day. I would suggest when going to the Isles Mujers to not do the Golf carts. They take to much of your time and there isnt any clear direction. Just explore the island,
Catamaran was very clean. Employees were very attentive. Time managed well during the entire.day. It was a good experience.
It was an amazing day! The catamaran’s crew was amazing! Friendly, very informative and fun! I would definitely recommend!
We had such an amazing day! The water was incredibly beautiful and we had the opportunity to stop three times for a swim. The crew were so friendly & attentive at looking after us throughout the day. Definitely recommend hiring a buggy to drive around the island as we probably needed a little break from the sun in the middle of the day. It was nice to be in a smaller group rather than being crammed in on the larger vessels. Highly recommend this cruise to everyone! Thank you :)
For our experience, we were with the company Oceanix onboard the catamaran named Samba 1. From the second we boarded, we had drinks in hand, pics and an awesome tour guide. When we started snorkeling, the photographers were in the water with us. They pointed out lots of fish and a sea turtle that swam right towards us. They were patient and super helpful getting us in and off the boat. They even gave us time to free swim in the crystal clear water close to Isla Mujeres. Lunch was minimal but since it was buffet, you could eat and drink as much as you wanted. It was very flavorful. They docked at the other side if the island to allow us some free time to explore, shop, ride astound in golf carts or go to the beautiful north point beach. When our time was up, the crew took us back to Cancun. On our way back, they opened the sail and we enjoyed the view. I definitely recommend getting the picture package. They take great pics that you wouldn't be able to get on your own. Shout out to the amazing crew, Saul, Cesar, Emmanuel, Alfredo, Alex, and Marco for making it such a cool experience. I would do this excursion again if I knew I'd get these guys again.
Crew was super attentive and kept us in the loop of the route. Had so much fun. The snorkeling was amazing, drinks were awesome. Loved it.
